Thank you NetGally for this book.

The publisher attached these keywords to this book: Consciousness, Gaia, Macro-Micro, Spirituality, Genetic Manipulation, Digital Beings, Holographs, Universe, Light Versus Darkness
And they are all right. Yes, we read about how Chandra, once a rogue planet, now a ‘sister’ of Gaia, learns about the digital beings that live in her. Gaia and Chandra together learn how to communicate with other star (beings), digital or not, to solve problems and to keep the universe happily ever after. I’ve read about a third of this book but since it has a whopping 735 pages I decided not to finish it all but just went on reading the end.
This author has enough ideas for a lifetime. Since Ishmael Carol sounds like a pen name, and I couldn’t find anything anywhere on the web about his or her, I think this novel is a debut. I would call it a good start. There is imagination, lots of interesting aliens and a complicated plot. I like that in SF. The downside is that it is all a bit too much. It is well written and imaginative but it is not a book to finish in one sitting.
I’ve been an avid SF fan since I was 12, which is so long ago I don’t even want to remember, so I’m very curious about the meaning of other people regarding this book. I hope to read more reviews soon.
