Practice Makes Perfect - that’s a concept that Isobel Chase and Vadim Petrov understand well, and it’s a guideline that applies to both their personal and professional lives, and now that Isobel and Vadim are forced back into one another’s lives, it’s up to each of them to determine what lessons they’re willing to teach and learn and what it will cost them when their time together is up.

Kate Meader does a great job of illustrating the differing dynamics of who Isobel was as an up and coming female hockey player and who she is now as a hockey consultant and part owner of her late father’s professional hockey team. Isobel not only needs to come to terms with her inability to play the sport she loves, but she also must deal with her two estranged sisters and their view of her close relationship with their now deceased father because regardless of her father’s constant presence in her life, it was more as a controlling coach than as a loving father.

Czar of Pleasure is definitely not a nickname that Isobel would have bestowed on Vadim when she lost her virginity to him all those years ago, and while she doesn’t know how this older and wiser version of Vadim is in the sack, let’s just say that she’s not really excited about a repeat performance, especially since the first time left her about as sexually frustrated as a woman can get. But there has to be a reason that Vadim has the attention of so many puck bunnies, so when Isobel finds herself attracted to her old crush, there’s no telling who will be teaching whom when it comes to the art of seduction and orgasms.

There’s a bit of a forbidden aspect to Isobel and Vadim’s burgeoning relationship, and because they were together before, this is also their second chance to make things right between them, both in and out of the bedroom.

I really enjoyed So Over You; both Isobel and Vadim aren’t the same people from their teenage years, so while they get to know one another again, the banter as well as the push and pull between them was not only entertaining to read but it
also shed light on just how not over each other they seem to be.

Kate Meader’s Chicago Rebels series continues to be one of entertaining and steamy sports romances. The dynamics between the three estranged sisters and their struggles as owners of a failing professional hockey team continue to be at the forefront of the story line while also illustrating each woman’s individual struggles and insecurities.

And….I’m beyond excited for Undone By You, so I can’t wait for March 5th!

Ok. Hot Russian Tough Attitude unable to satisfy her the first time around and doesn't realize it. The owners daughter who is the skating princess that wins big but is injured and has to give up skating. What happens when these two meet again and she becomes his coach after an injury? Definitely worth your time to find out.

Kate Meader never fails to amaze me with her writing style, enjoyable characters and great stories. So Over You is the story of the hot arrogant Russian who will steal your heart and make you dream he is yours.

Meader delivers another wonderful romance and I couldn’t be happier.  There’s so much drama and bad feelings and it just leads to a great second chance – and not just for Vadim and Isobel!  I loved the Vadim has some issues he needs to address with his mother too and Meader makes sure that he does all of it with Russian-ness on full display.  And I just ADORED every Russian piece of him – so haughty and formal and sexy and confident.  It’s no wonder that Isobel finds him hard to resist even with the history between them.  He’s also difficult and closed off and commanding … also sexy but frustrating :)

Like with the first book in the series, there can only be trouble if anything happens between the two but the Chase sisters aren’t afraid to dance that line.  It makes things more complicated that she’s an owner and wants to be a coach while he’s her player but that isn’t their biggest issue.  They’ve got to put their pasts (both individually and as a couple) to rest before they can even think about looking at what the future could bring.   While there’s drama, Meader makes sure that things never get over-dramatic which I appreciate.  Instead she delivers a sexy, emotional, and humorous love story that had me captivated until the end.

(This is the second in a series and it can stand on its own but I think that it will be much more enjoyable if you have read Irresistible You.)

Ice hockey romances are my not-so-guilty pleasure genre and this book is just so much better than the first in the series which is saying something as the first book was really good too. In this instalment of the Chicago Rebels series, we follow middle sister Isobel Chase and her struggle to accept a career ending injury as well as a sassy Russian ice hockey player who she may or may not have a history in the sheets with (she totally does though, just a heads up).

The thing I like most about this series is that we have backstory! I mean, sure, we still get the bedroom scenes but I think the connection that develops with Isobel (in this case) really makes everything hit harder. I actually cared about her as a character as opposed to just reading because there is a hot Russian ice hockey player as the love interest. I’m wholeheartedly behind Kate Meader’s decision to give the whole thing more substance as it truly did pay off - I mean, come on! It’s a 400 page romance book for Pete’s sake! - and hope that other romance authors take that on board.

Vadim, the aforementioned Russian ice hockey player, is an absolute jerk and I found myself missing Remy from the previous book as he was just amazing. As the plot developed, I started disliking Vadim less but he pulls a dick move and betrays Isobel at one point; good intentions behind it didn’t mean that I hated him less for doing it however. Isobel is amazing. Just. Best female in a romance I have read in recent times (though I feel like Violet might rob her of that title when her book comes out!)

Definitely a worth while read - especially if you are partial to ice hockey romances - and I cannot wait to read the next book.

As a follow-up to Irresistible You, So Over You was not a bad read, but it was unexceptional coming from Kate Meader. Meader’s prior stories were layered with emotion and level-headed connections between characters that a reader can lap up enthusiastically.
In this addition to Meader’s new Chicago Rebels series the hero, Vadim Petrov, had a surprisingly soft-hearted, redeeming side to his character that I thought did not deserve a fair-weathered heroine as his foil.
I thought the heroine, Isobel Chase, was blindly selfish and consistently annoying with her brooding (I also disliked the way she treated her relationships with her sisters, and showed a marked lack of respect to their feelings). On the flip side, her character was well written and was consistent in her turmoil and self-development.
Too much background drama and small plot lines negatively impacted the development of the two main characters’ relationship. The parts of the novel I enjoyed the most were with characters such as Violet, youngest Chase sister, as she was a lively and sparkling character that provided levity and wit. Meader’s own distinct writing style made up for the tediousness of the conflict in the story.
Regardless, So Over You is still an enjoyable read that will make you laugh and feel emotions. For a more entertaining and original story by Kate Meader I would recommend the Hot in Chicago series, Playing with Fire in particular.

I received an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

SO OVER YOU is the second instalment in Kate Meader’s contemporary, adult CHICAGO REBELS erotic, hockey, romance series focusing on three estranged sisters-Harper Chase, Isobel Chase and Violet Vasquez- who recently inherited the struggling NHL hockey franchise the Chicago Rebels. This is Chicago Rebel’s co-owner and skating consultant Isobel Chase, and Russian left-winger Vadim Petrov’s story line. SO OVER YOU can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

SOME BACKGROUND: Upon their father’s death, estranged sisters Harper Chase, Isobel Chase and Violet Vasquez inherited the ownership of the struggling NHL hockey franchise-the Chicago Rebels. With only months remaining in the current season, the sisters are tasked with turning the team into a play-off bound franchise or risk loosing everything, including their father’s legacy, one piece at a time.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Isobel and Vadim) SO OVER YOU follows the second chance relationship between Chicago Rebels injured left-winger Vadim Petrov, and co-owner/skating consultant Isobel Chase, NCAA star, Olympic hockey silver medalist, and former player in the National Women’s Hockey League-thirty seven minutes that would break more than her spirit and end her career. Several years earlier, Vadim Petrov was on the verge of making a name for himself in the NHL when Isobel’s father destroyed any hopes, for our hero, for the foreseeable future including breaking the bonds between Vadim and the woman with whom he would fall in love. Fast forward to present day wherein an injured Vadim Petrov will come face to face with his past when he is traded to the embattled Chicago Rebels. What ensues is the back and forth, sexually palpable antagonistic relationship between Isobel and Vadim, as Isobel begins coaching our hero back to the star she knows he can be, and the potential fall out when Isobel battles between her head and her heart, and the man that she loves, as she endeavours to return to the game in the hopes of the elusive gold medal.

We are up close and personal as Vadim battles his own preconceived notions about the mother he believes all but abandoned her only son. With his younger sister’s burgeoning skills as an elite hockey player herself, Vadim becomes the over protective Russian bear as it pertains to the two most important women in his life-Isabel Chase and his sister Mia Wallace. The Chase fractured family dynamics begin to heal as the sisters forge together to ensure the Chicago Rebels continue their upward flight on a path bound towards the hockey playoff rounds.

The relationship between Vadim and Isobel is one of second chances; a rekindling romance between two people whose relationship was destroyed by a man whose sole focus was on the game that he loved-a game that would come between a father and the daughters he cared little about. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Isobel’s sisters Harper Chase and her boyfriend Remy Dupre (Irresistible You #1), Violet Vasquez; Vadim’s sister Mia Wallace, and their mother Victoria Wallace, Vadim’s personnel assistant Alexei Medvedev; team GM Dante Moretti, defenseman Cade Burnett, Rebels captain Bren St. James, head-trainer Kelly Townsend, and left-winger Leon Shay.

SO OVER YOU has moments of humor and fun; betrayal and revenge; romance and love. The premise is engaging and entertaining; the romance is passionate and seductive; the characters are energetic, dynamic and charismatic. SO OVER YOU is a story of family, friendship, forgiveness and forever.

This one is gonna be juicy based on that blurb. Can there be a second time around for Vadim and Isobel? Find their way back to each other this time?, So much pressure riding on the sisters, with all the sexism and criticism they're facing too. They have to be fierce and bold, the moves made in book one was risky but helped. Now Isobel has to be a a skate coach to her ex of sorts with loads of history and youthful missteps. Tension and love hate is strong that has one remedy. Kate Meader isn't new to me but for hockey yes and she captures the environment well with the different players. I like this look into women in sports.

Isobel's hockey career may have ended abruptly but she still has that drive in her. Now coaching the men's pro hockey work place is no easy place. She has to prove herself not only as an owner with the situation having it's complications. It's gonna be even harder now with Vadim and her own past, a tricky situation in the works. Now at the point where she needs to decide on herself moving forward, stil lost and finding her footing in this nre setting. Isobel has many layers and I liked getting to know her. Time has changed both of them as well and it shows.

Getting a physical image of Vadim was harder for. I will admit while there are many Russian NHL players but his description is hard to match. But attitude wise is pretty spot for most. He mannerisms are what I find the norm, he has ego and pride which also wars with him getting coached. In a way his injury makes him understand Isobel better and the hockey loving backgrounds help bring them closer. I like the little jabs of humor the author injected here with the ribbing with the players and sisters and the playful side to the serious twosome. What with the awkward situation with Vadim and Isobel was so done with a jest but realistic. While a second shot at a relationship is not ideal for Vadim and Isobel their chemistry testing the limits.

I very much enjoyed this second book of the series, Kate Meader writes good hockey and knows her stuff. The pacing was just right and it was well written. I'm excited to see the next book and hope there will be more books with the other players. It's pretty swoony and engaging, hard to put down it had me from the start. It's not short but it's meaty story with character growth too. The breadcrumb hints for the next books make me excited!

I've been hyped up for So Over You ever since I read the excerpt in the first book (hello, a hero who didn't manage to bring it home? Colour me intrigued), and while it didn't immediately charm the way Irresistible You did, I still enjoyed it a lot.

It took me a while to warm up to Isobel. She's a bit too prickly and standoffish to me, but as the story progressed I began to like her. I really admire her spirit and passion for hockey. Her take-charge attitude actually reminds me a lot of Harper—which is funny considering how different they are on the outside. The only thing that I didn’t like is how Isobel described some women, especially the ones who hang around / pursue Vadim; it felt a bit nasty and I was uncomfortable with that. Vadim is easier to like because he is my type: handsome, a bit broody, annoyingly arrogant (typical Lisa type). I love his dry wit and how protective he is of the ones he loves. Sure, he’s flawed too—boy was I annoyed when he did The Thing He Shouldn’t Have Done—and I like how he and Isobel settled their differences and made up.

I love it whenever Vadim and Isobel go head to head with each other. There’s old history, crazy chemistry and a boatload of tension between them that whenever they are together sparks just seem to fly. The way Vadim suggested they reconnect is also hilarious (“Are you offering to apologize with your penis?” I LMAO). I love that they have tons of fun with each other because I feel like outside their relationship they both are Serious People?

I love the sibling relationships we get in this book. It seems to me that we get more of the Chase sisters interacting in this one, and I'm so grateful for that. Some of my favourite scenes include every one of Violet and Isobel together; it seems to me that Isobel keeps to herself a lot, but she opens up to Violet. They also still do sisters' night together, which kind of makes me feel like starting my own with my sisters. We also get more of Harper supporting Isobel in So Over You, and it warmed my heart. Another sibling relationship that we get is one with Vadim and his newfound sister Mia. I love the way they bicker like they've always known each other, and I love how protective Vadim is of her.

Other relationship that I enjoy seeing is the Rebels’ bonding with each other. Cade really stood out for me in this book—he’s getting his own book next! Kate did a great job making me impatient with the little Dante x Cade scenes, and that little bit of Bren x Violet interaction? *cue me screaming inside because 2018* Also my favourite Cajun made me fall for him a little more with him proclaiming that he can’t wait to retire to “cook, get fat, and make babies”. (I’m so easy…)

While Irresistible You is my favourite book in this series (so far), So Over You is still great in its own right. Two more books to go! 2018, come fast.

This is the first book I have read by this author but she is now definitely on my radar. This book had so much depth, emotion, action, humour and steam, all wrapped up into one wonderful read. The writing flows well and the book is easy to read, written in the third person but also giving us the thoughts and emotions of the two main characters.

The heroine, Isobel, could have done with a shake at times but not in an annoying way. I found her a very likeable heroine whose dreams had been shattered by injury and who was struggling to find her path. Her father had been a very dominant force in her life, never really giving Isobel the chance to live for herself. She is still set in the 'pleasing him' mind pattern and this is why I wanted to give her a shake. I wanted to wake her up to the fact that she needed to stop worrying what her Dad would have thought. How this played out in the book felt very real, not forced, and led to some wonderful bonding between Isobel and some of the supporting characters in the book.

Vadim was simply an amazing hero. He is hot, sexy, caring, sweet - oh boy he has it all! He has his own issues, which form some of the sub-plots of the book, but through out it all he in unwavering in his care of and love for Isobel. I really liked that it was the guy who was so committed to developing the relationship and the girl with issues, that made a nice change. Vad's interactions with Mia, Alexei and Victoria really showed the true character of the man. I may have fallen just a touch in love with him too.

There are quite a few sub-plots woven through the 'romance' part of the story. They mesh together incredibly well, forming a smooth and detailed story with good pace. The book held my attention throughout and I enjoyed it all. There were humorous parts that contrasted nicely with the more angst-filled parts. There were some well written steamy scenes, enough to make this feel like a romance without spoiling the flow of the story or being so excessive you end up skipping them.

I've taken some chances recently on 'new-to-me' authors and have struggled with their books. This was not only a decent read, it was a very good read that makes me want to read more work by this author. If you like sports romances, especially ice-hockey ones, and even if you just love a good contemporary romance, then I recommend this book.

This was great. I loved how Vadim went after what he wanted even if it started out as a way to make himself feel better about his...performance. He and Isobel were a fantastic couple and I loved their story of coming together.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, pain, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading them first:
Irresistible You (Chicago Rebels, #1)

This is Isobel and Vadim's story. Isobel knows hockey. She would still be playing the sport if not for an injury that sidelined her dreams. Since she can’t play she is going to coach. But one issue is her first job has her with the man who took her virginity and heart as a teen. Now she is supposed to work with him. Problem is he is a player on and off the ice. Vadim is also injured and now has to work with the woman who made him crazy when they were teens. He wants her and knows in the past he let her down now he needs a chance to prove he knows what he is doing. Will Isobel give him a chance?

I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

Excellent and well written story with a Hockey background.

The characters are intersting and well thought out. I really liked Vadim he was cocky and funny and a little alpha and I loved all the Russian. Isobel is strong and independant and I love her attitude.

The chemistry was super hot as was the sexy scenes and I felt they had a natural connection.

Although I have not read the first in the series I did not feel left behind or confused in any way.

All up I really liked the story and the characters and I look forward to continuing on with the series and going back to read the first.

I voluntarily read an advanced review copy of this book

Isobel Chase knows and loves all things hockey...and 2 things that she knows for sure is that she wants to be a coach and that she is completely over Vadim Petrov!

Vadim Petrov was head over heels for Isobel until something happens that tears them apart. Time has passed and now he has to not only see Isobel but let her coach him.

Can Isobel bring Vadim back to winning shape before the play-offs or will they crash and burn ending both of their careers before they can ever begin again? Read and find out!

The family dynamics and work problems that they both faced were very interesting. It kept you just as sucked in as any scenes that involved Isobel and Vadim. I loved Isobel and Vadim together. They were both so funny and both had real issues that you could understand and left you feeling just a little bit heartbroken.

This is the first book that I have read in this series but I already have my hands on book 3 and once I finish that... I will be hunting down book 1 so that I can get all caught up.

Overall this book was really good and I can not wait for more to come!

Oh man, So Over You is another fantastic Kate Meader read. It has it all - comedy, romance, and crazy drama. It is an entertaining read that no reader will be bored while they read.
So Over You starts off with Isobel struggling with herself. She has been in a funk that she decides to be out there more than usual. It is definitely surprising for Isobel because she was always in control. And she had to when she started off early with her hockey career which ended too early. Things are changing for her but there are heavy risks to them that she will need to think more about. Besides her career, she also gets familiar with her former fling, Vadim, which is a doozy. He is everything except giving her the right pleasure.
Vadim has finally got his priority right but there are a few challenges to them. The main one would be his knee which he needs work on with his former fling, Isobel. He is definitely not excited to see her whatsoever. There is bad blood between them that there is some tension between them. But they need have hot chemistry with each other that it can go either way.
And that is right, they definitely go for it but there will be some bumpy roads for them especially when they are working together in a professional manner. Yes, it is messy but what relationship isn´t. It comes with some challenges but it is the couple goal to overcome together or they are not meant to be together.
So Over You will bring the hot Russian hockey romance on fire. It will keep you hot and bothered from the beginning. Fun romance read. Five Stars.

In the second installment of the Chicago Rebels series, Isobel Chase, is the second of the three sisters trying to make the hockey team they inherited from their giant turd of a father. They have one season to turn this failing franchise into a playoff team and they are right in the middle of the hunt when Isobel is tasked with helping to rehab Vadim Petrov. Her first lover, who was decidedly not all that. Anyway, is trying to reconcile their past and present, along with the end of her own career as a hockey player, alot of things happen on and off the ice and yes, romance happens.

The Good, The Bad, and Everything In Between

-Hockey is even more integral to this entry. Isobel’s personal struggle to accept the devastating end to her own hockey dream (which was deeply mingled with her father’s approval), gives a different layer to her as a heroine. She was (and is) an incredibly talented woman at the top of her profession when a freak accident on the ice fractured her skull and a shattered dream. It’s a dilemma that happens to athletes day in and day out, and I liked that we got to see it from Isobel’s perspective. Vadim is an athlete who’s coming back from injury and he can sympathize with her. But he will recover and she will never, and that’s another obstacle that they have to address. It made for some heavier issues directly related to the sport than the first book and I enjoyed that difference alot.

-Vadim and Isobel both have personal journeys. I really enjoyed the fact that there’s a good balance between Isobel and Vadim, each of their character arcs are developed, and physically and emotionally, they’re on pretty even footing. Other than one moment that made me a bit frustrated (more on that later), they each give the other respect for their hockey acumen and their feelings. Isobel is in a position of power over Vadim, and there is a token hesitation between them pursuing a relationship. Since office type romances are among my favorites, I’m willing to look past certain things that in real life would be a much bigger deal.

-The relationships between the sisters is even stronger. When you’re first introduced to Harper, Isobel and Violet, these estranged sisters had very, very different experiences with their jackass of a father and it colors their perception of each other. It’s an important part of the ongoing series, and so it’s lovely to see the sister-bonding to get even deeper. Strong female relationships anchoring a romance series are critical for me and this fits the bill just fine.

-A choice taken made me side-eye a smidge. Sigh. Ok, keeping this spoiler-free as possible, so I’m vaguing this up. There’s a major decision made late in the book on Isobel’s behalf. This is explained away and resolved a bit too quickly for me because frankly, as much as she was in the wrong, I think she had a right to be angry that the choice was taken away from her. Can I get past it? Yes, but I didn’t necessarily agree with the way it was handled. But overall, the ending to this romance resolved well for me, and I thought the ending was in keeping to what I expected - the playoff hunt is still on, but Vadim and Isobel earned their HFN/HEA.

-The series leaves me eager for more each time. To end on a positive note, the teasing moments that you glimpse in this book about the next entry in this series intrigued the hell out of me, and I was hoping. Then I read the next book blurb on GoodReads and let me tell you - I. AM. HERE. FOR. IT. I cannot wait to see Dante and Alamo’s story, and I am beyond ready to see Violet get her HEA.

The Bottom Line 4.5 stars
I really did love this. Hockey is a favorite sport of mine, and mix some strong banter, family bonds and friendships, with a strong emotional romance in the middle of a playoff hunt and I’m happier than a cat with a bag of ‘nip.

If these are a few of your favorite things, then I say pick up this hockey romance. I definitely recommend it.

4.5 Second Time Around Is Out Of This World Stars!!!

Oh Vadim and Isobel!!! What didn't happen when they were younger has Vadim bound and determined to right his wrongs...in more than one way!!

I loved this book so much and in so many ways. It's a sports romance, has a strong and independent woman that's out to prove that a woman can do anything a man can, possibly better, a strong alpha man that thinks he's all that and a bag of chips....until he encounters the woman that could bring him to his knees literally and figuratively.

These two have a chemistry that is so much more than physical which just made this book so much more for me. I knew there would be the sizzling heat they feel, but the back and forth sarcasm had me at times snort laughing. This big Russian has such a dry sense of humor I just never knew what was going to happen next. And Isobel doesn't let him get away with anything. As much as she doesn't want to get hurt, she knows she can help him and just maybe she'll open her heart to him again.

Oh and when these two do get horizontal, holy hat trick talk about steaming up the ice!!! I'm a huge fan of Ms. Meader and this series and I can't wait for Undone By You!!!

The second in the Chicago Rebels series, SO OVER YOU can definitely be read as a standalone. Kate Meader is writing an exceptional series: three sisters, who have inherited an ice hockey team - a team that needs to make and win the next finals. Sound boring??? NO NO NO!!!! This is book 2 and the heat is rising steadily.

This is the story of Isobel Chase and Vadim Petrov. She is part owner and coaching consultant with the rebels, he is the newest recruit - but he has arrived with an injury. It is Isobel's job to get Vadim skate fit within two weeks. Isobel and Vadim have met before and their past is not exactly one that they both like to remember, animosity still exists between them. I actually loved their relationship, strained as it may have been. There is something else there as well, but will they act upon it, or will the past interfere with their decisions?

Told from dual POVs, this is definitely one sexy tale. An extremely hot Russian trying to make up for the errors of the past and a sassy, fiesty woman who has a very stubborn side. Watching the banter and the play between these two was engrossing and hilarious. It is definitely one of the more amusing second chance love stories that I have had the privilege of reading.

Most definitely a recommended read.

Kate Meador continues the story of three estranged sisters who are brought together by their late father’s will. They are trying to keep a failing hockey team together and in their control. This book is about Isobel, who was a hockey star in her own right until a devastating injury crushed all her dreams. Now, she is a coaching consultant, working with her sisters, Harper and Violet.

Vadim is a Russian powerhouse on the ice, but a knee injury has sidelined him. He is traded to the struggling Chicago Rebels team. If that weren’t bad enough, the coach in charge of getting him in shape to take the ice again is none other than Isobel. The two share a past that ended in hurt, anger, and resentment. Yes, this pair heat up the ice even more than Harper and Remy in the first book, Irresistible You.

I always like meeting characters for the first time in a book, and Vadim definitely made an impression on me. He was beautiful, yes beautiful, but he exuded power and arrogance as well. He is known for his exploits both in and out of the bedroom. He isn’t called the Czar of Pleasure for nothing. Isobel wants nothing to do with that or so she tells herself, never mind that he sets her mind and body on fire. She has a lot riding on him getting better and taking the team to the play-offs. She knows her boundaries and how to stick to them, but Vadim sure does make it hard. He is busy crushing those walls she has built up. She doesn’t trust men because of her carousing father. I wanted her to see not all men were like that, Vadim especially. My initial thoughts about him were that he might hurt her because of his arrogance and resentment towards Isobel or Bella as he calls her. I soon discovered he wasn’t all that selfish at all, especially with Bella and his sister, Mia. I loved seeing that vulnerable and teddy bear side to him.

The characters were just aspect of the book that I loved. Meador was still building her secondary characters and her characters from the previous book, Remy and Harper. Even though the book was about Vadim and Isobel, I was still getting to know all the other characters. The attraction and relationship between them was steamy, but there was a sweetness and depth to it as well. No one understood what Isobel was going through more than Vadim. He is also an athlete and knows what an injury can cost you…not just physically but mentally as well. Poor Isobel was trying to figure out where she fit in concerning her professional life but also in getting to know her sisters. Meador continues to build on the budding relationship between the women, and she does it in a very realistic way. Towards the end of the book, I had tears in my eyes. Vadim also has dealt with an absent parent, his mother. He is trying to come to terms with his relationship with her and his sister. This was another book added to my favorites of 2017.

I highly recommend this series, and I would read them in order. As I wrote earlier, you will see the deepening bond between the sisters that, in my opinion, you would miss if you read this book before Irresistible You. It had everything I loved…friendship, family, loyalty, trust, and a second-chance romance that will surely melt your heart. Looking forward to more in the series. Meador leaves us with just enough information to whet your appetite for more!
