Another wonderfully royal retelling of a classic film from Teri Wilson!

I was approved to read this book yesterday but it was also archived yesterday, so unfortunately I was unable to download it to review, which is too bad. I've greatly enjoyed the other books in this series.

This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

BIANCA

Another amazing Royals book by Teri Wilson. I just adored it!

Asher is a famous cello player. He's just been left by his fiancée, because she's suddenly in love with his mentor/maestro. That was two months ago. Now he's been asked to play WITH THEM for the Royal Wedding of Princess Amelia in London.
And since it was all very last minute and not a hotel room is to be found, he has to move into the palace - into the room next to the bride.
Extreme immediate attraction on both sides - but of course she's getting married to the love of her life in a week, right? Nope. She has to marry the old guy to save the royal family and because her mom - the Queen - said so. But she'd much rather spend forever with Asher. Even though he probably thinks she's a little insane.

It's all so adorable - but also very sad, because we know that they can't be together - but of course we'll get our happily ever after. It just might take them a little while to get there. There's a lot to fight through until we'll get that happy end!

Great Royal Fairytale Romance! Funny, adorable, cute, British ... I just loved the Asher & Willow, the dog moments!!! Perfect little Royal romance - I finished it in one afternoon!
I wouldn't mind watching a re-make of that movie on netflix or passionflix soon!

JANEANE

I read the second book in The Royals series, Royally Romanov, and really enjoyed it, so it was a no brainer to pick up Royally Wed.

It is your classic royal with a sense of duty to the family meets a commoner who steals their heart story, however it didn't feel cliche.

Amelia is the Princess marrying not for love but out of family obligation. Asher is the cello player for her wedding whose career is in danger of completely collapsing.

There is so much emotion in this book. I spent half the time pleading with the characters to make the right decision, and the other half of the book growling at characters who just aren't doing right by our lovelies.

I just wanted to slap some people!

Royally Wed is adorable and sweet and cute. Can't wait to see what Ms Wilson bring us next.

Once I started reading, I could not put this book down – it was a chore to have to stop reading to do real life things. I laughed out loud more than once, but also got teary-eyed and even cried while reading it, which is something that makes a book a five-star read to in my book.

As a reader who loathes cheating by main characters, the premise of this book made me nervous, wondering if Asher and Amelia's relationship would be off-putting, but as a fan of Teri Wilson, I decided to give it a try and I'm glad that I did because Ms. Wilson nailed it. With the help of a naughty corgi (who I loved) Amelia and Asher develop a sweet friendship of sorts that made me root for them from the very start.

If you enjoy a hilariously written story about two people who seemingly don't belong together but who are just so perfectly meant for each other, you should read this book. Teri Wilson has written another fabulous love story.

I requested and was generously granted an ARC of this book via Netgalley and the publisher. I was under no obligation to write this review, I did so because the book is wonderful.

A Whirlwind Romance
I don’t remember the MGM film on which this film is based but that didn’t stop me from enjoying this book as much as the others in the series. It’s charming and delightful; even if thoroughly make-believe and, I loved it! An arranged marriage due to blackmail, an unorthodox princess and a cellist with stage fright; what’s not to like?
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

Princess Amelia, aka "Princess Naughty," is only days away from her wedding, yet she hardly seems like the giddy bride-to-be. For one thing, she's marrying the father of her best friend. Yeah, you read that correctly. She's marrying a man old enough to be her father.

Oh, she cares about him, in a sort of paternal way. But the Great Love of Her Life is not exactly the role Holden fits. So why is she marrying him? That whole "Princess Naughty" thing, you see. Positive PR and whatnot.

And then she meets Asher Reed, a renowned cellist and fill-in for an ill Yo Yo Ma. They share a Moment when he's rehearsing, which makes a slightly skittish Amelia feel even more reluctant.

Teri Wilson mines familiar territory here, at one point almost directly quoting some concerns Princess Diana shared on the eve of her marriage to Prince Charles. Chuck and Di fans will find many similarities in Amelia and Holden's nuptials.

There are a couple of Hot Romance Novel scenes. Not overly detailed - certainly not Christian Grey-styles - but they add a needed spice to the proceedings, helping you understand what Amelia will sacrifice upon her marriage.

This is a fun, albeit somewhat predictable romance that is perfect for those of us who enjoy following royalty, weddings, and romance. Asher proves the point person for the latter; he is the heart of the romance, maneuvering from a broken heart to the possibility of new love.

Nothing beats a royal wedding, as Teri Wilson shows with this book.

Lindas Book Obsession Review of “Royally Wed” by Teri Wilson

My Review of “Royally Wed” by Teri Wilson

I enjoyed reading  “Royally Wed” by Teri Wilson. The genres for this book are Romance and Women’s Fiction. This is the third book in the series, but easily is a standalone. The timeline for this story is the present. The story takes place in Great Britain, at Buckingham Palace, where there will be a Royal Wedding.  From the blurb,

”Teri Wilson’s series returns with the charming and witty retelling of the timeless classic MGM film “Royal Wedding” starring Fred Astaire.”

The author describes the characters as complex, complicated and confused.

Asher Reed, and American classical musician is called in to replace a sick Yo Yo Ma, in playing a cello solo for the royal wedding. Asher has been experiencing some personal problems and anxiety.

Princess Amelia is marrying her best friend’s father, to save the crown. It does seem that Amelia is drawn to Asher Reed’s musical talents, and perhaps Asher.

The Queen, is a bit irritating and has the most unusual  rules in the palace. One thing is for certain, she wants to see her daughter married.

My favorite characters are the Corgis that rule and run the palace, especially Willow the one Corgi with a mind of her own.

I would recommend this endearing, enchanting and witty story to readers that enjoy Romance. I received an Advanced Reading Copy of this book for my honest review.

I think I cried through half of this book. So emotional. And sad and happy - with an amazing ending. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This series has been so good. Each book is a take off on a classic romance movie and Royally Wed is a spinoff from the classic film Royal Wedding.

I think I spent half of the time reading this story in tears. There’s so much emotion built into this book, it really got to me for some reason.

Maybe it’s the princess theme where she is being forced to marry someone she doesn’t love. Maybe it’s the stranger who makes a huge impression in her life. Maybe it is the music that reaches into her soul. Regardless of what was, this book is beautifully written and has made a lasting impression on me.

Teri Wilson has taken this spin off and created a storybook wedding of the season that you will never forget. Maybe you won’t feel the emotion like I did, but this romance is full of passion, heartbreak, and ultimately, love. Another classic story for the ages.

The only reason this review has one star is because I couldn't give it zero stars. I was looking forward to a really great retelling of one of my favorite movies and what I got was raunchy, crude sex driven trash that was disappointing in the extreme. Not only was the plot line unrealistic, but the time line was all wrong and weird. How many real royals do you know that are so desperate for love that they will hop in bed with anyone and called it true love? I'll tell you how many: none. Those people are raised in a culture that teaches dignity and honor as a way of life and this was a unbelievable and honestly disrespectful representation of them. Sure, everyone longs to find love but this author made this princess look sex crazed and willing to do anything. Shame on you for telling people that true love is based on sexual attraction alone. You gave your characters no depth and created no relationship for them to go forward with and skipped the essentials of real love that would do anything out of love for another. Go study real people again and see how an actual relationship works. And give your characters a chance to have a relationship that will last longer than their desire to sleep with each other. I will not post about this book on my blog unless it's a PSA to warn others away. And I will not be reading this author again as I don't think I can trust her with a story.

Implausible but nice light entertainment with a big heart. I liked that this is the reverse of the usual Cinderella story. Asher is.a musician challenged by stage fright BUT he's going to play at the wedding of a princess. Princess Amelia is about to get married BUT is it a good match? It is a good story- well written and a fast read with some chuckles. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. I'd not read the earlier books in this series but this was a fine standalone. Try it for a happy ending.

This is the second book in this collection that I have read and it was just as cute as the first. Romantic, fun, witty, this story was a delight to read.
