I wish I could give this more then 5 stars. I really enjoyed this creepy story. I would love to read a background book of this story as well. Keary Taylor has done an awesome job with this book. Every other chapter is either Iona or Sully's thoughts. So you get a good picture of the whole story instead of just one side. The book is kind of thought provoking with a "What If?" added to reality.

The book is about Iona Faye. Her Fiance Jack Caraway has been murdered in front of her and Iona just cannot force herself to move on, all she does is think of Jack and her loss. She finds out about Sully Whitmore. Who is said to talk to the dead.

Sully lives in the abandoned town of Roselock. Just him and the ghosts of the town live here. The men of Sully's family have been cursed and all males dies when they are 33 years, 3 months and 3 days old. Sully is just turning 33 and is just biding his time and waiting for the end to come.

Iona shows up to get help from Sully by talking to Jack so she can get some closure. Everything is not as simple as a loved one has passed away move on. They find out that Jack is not what Iona thought he was. He was evil in life and in death. It is up to Sully to find out from the spirits of Jack and the 3 other women's deaths he has had a hand in and save Iona before the curse comes to call him.

I won't tell you the end but I was kind of shocked.

I received this book from the Author or Publisher via Netgalley.com to read and review.

Following the death of her fiance, Jack, Iona heads to the mysterious town of Roselock in search of a resolution to her grief. Sully has his own demons, living in the dilapidated Roselock in a ramshackle church with no living company. However, he is by no means alone.

Can Sully's 'curse' help Iona overcome her all encompassing grief, and will he be able to avoid the terrible fate he is destined for?

An eerie tale of obsessive love and a fab read.

A love story wrapped in a murder mystery with a side of psycho. I was mesmerized by this story of Sully and Iona. Speaking with the dead, overcoming an obsessive love and reconnecting with the world are only a few situations. I felt angry and sad for Iona and Sully, each suffering in their own way with tragedies out of their control. This is a powerful book I couldn't put down and finished in a few hours. The unique storytelling and intriguing mystery makes for a truly gripping work of art. I was thrilled to get an advanced copy through Netgalley and voluntarily wrote my review.

When Iona shows up on Sully’s doorstep he is immediately on guard as he’s no stranger to the reporters that are like vultures circling him looking for their big story. Iona is there however because she’s heard that Sully can contact the dead and she’s desperate to speak to her fiancee again after his life was shortened by a murderer without any logical reason behind the attack. Iona believes she won’t be able to move on from the loss and is desperate for Sully’s help.

Sully is a bit hesitant to open the gate between dimensions yet again. He’s gotten used to his own fate which has his death looming ever closer and being in contact with those he has lost is a daily occurrence for Sully but there’s just something about Iona that isn’t right. After Sully breaks down and contacts Jack for Iona however he begins to see that Jack has some sort of hold over her even after death and Sully makes it his mission to help her break free.

Three Heart Echo by Keary Taylor is one of those books that I saw the cover on this one and just kept coming back to it wanting to see what the story held inside. Thankfully this turned out to be another that my cover obsession turned into picking out a really engaging and compelling read that I ended up devouring even though I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into.

The story in here is sort of a paranormal suspense read mixed with a twinge of horror. Iona was the perfect grieving widow wanting to hang onto the love she knew and didn’t want to continue living without. But once that dark side of the afterlife is brought in the reader learns that there was so much more to Iona’s love of her life that just had me on the edge of my seat waiting to find the answers. In the end this one was definitely an eerie and creepy read from start to finish that I’d recommend checking out.

I could tell from the first paragraph that this book is predominately a romance novel, which was very disappointing since the book is listed under the genres horror, thriller, and mystery. If I'd known that I was going to be reading a romance novel I might not have been as upset with the book as I am.

The general plot is actually pretty interesting. A young woman seeks out a man who can speak to her dead fiance. He agrees to help her, and over time she realizes that something about the town isn't right. At the same time the man that's helping her notices that the girl doesn't appear to be healthy and that there's a darkness surrounding her.

However, the story falls flat despite the interesting plot. The biggest reason for this is the writing. The writing style is very simple. It's a writing style that might work for a romance novel, but it doesn't work for a mystery/thriller/horror novel. There's no ambiance and there's little to no details given about the surrounding area, so all of the "scary" scenes aren't scary or disturbing at all.

The explanation as to why the main character acted the way she did was ridiculous. I can't go into detail about this since it would be a spoiler, but that mystery was the only thing that kept me reading this novel, so I was annoyed when the explanation was something so unbelievable.

I never got attached to any of the characters. They just felt like typical romance novel characters. Nothing about them stood out to me.

Overall, this novel is fine as a romance novel, but when I started reading it I wasn't expecting a romance novel. I wanted a horror and mystery thriller. I think it should be re-categorized to include romance. That way people won't be tricked into reading it, and people that actually like romance novels will read it instead.

This is definitely not your typical love story, in fact you can’t really count it as a love story at all. But one thing I can tell you is that Three Heart Echo by Keary Taylor is thrilling from start to finish. Once I started I couldn’t put this book down, it had me on the edge of my seat through out.

Iona wants nothing more than to talk to her dead fiance, to tell him all the things she didn’t get chance to say and Sully is the man to help her, but he has his own issues. His end is coming, it’s just a matter of waiting but then along comes a little fawn asking for his help.

This is honestly not your typical story by Keary Taylor, but I absolutely loved it. The characters pulled me in and I wanted to know more about them and their lives, as well as how they had gotten to the point they were at now.

I can’t recommend this story enough and give it a solid 5 stars!

'It's impossible to breathe when your arm is submerged in a well of blood. Impossible to think outside of this very small circle of curses and dread.
Impossible to feel anything at all except the ice-cold liquid. And the anticipation.
Something reaches up from below and touches the palm of my hand.'

A true page turner. Once I started the story I couldn't put it down until I was finished.

The author did a great job in setting up an eerie atmosphere that keeps you interested until the very end. An obsessive love story, betrayal, family curses...this story has it all.
