Twisted Truths is the final book in the Blood Brothers series that began with Deadly Silence and is a spin-off of Zanetti's Sin Brothers Series.

After one of Noni's friends dies of suspicious circumstances, Noni was named guardian of her young daughter. However, the baby is kidnapped by the father before Noni can claim custody. After searching and searching, there is nowhere else Noni can think to go to for help beside Denver. Even though they parted on not great terms (with him pretty much just leaving), and even though there's clearly still something between them, Noni knows he's the best bet to get the baby back safely.

A year ago Denver made a decision. A decision that hurt him, and Noni, terribly, but a decision none the less to keep her safe. He regrets what had to be done, but he couldn't think of another alternative. Not with Sheriff Cobb and Dr Madison on he and his brothers' tails. But when Noni starts posting his picture online and actively searching for him, he has to find her before she puts herself in the cross-hairs. When he discovers that Noni needs his help in locating her adoptive daughter, he vows to bring the baby back safely and then leave again. But being back with Noni is like coming home. Denver feels content in a way he hasn't felt since he left her. However, before he can even think of settling down, he, Ryker, and Heath have to finish what was started so many years before. That is, if he survives.

Twisted Truths is the culmination of pretty much everything that has happened in this series. Not having read the Sin Brothers series, I'm not sure how much that happens here effects what happened in that series, but I can assure you it in no way impacted my understanding of the story. It felt more like this series and the former fit together like halves of a puzzle. They can work just fine on their own.

Denver's story, at least the romance aspect, has been built up throughout the two previous books. So I was most looking forward to finally getting the full story of things between him and Noni. I also happen to really like the second-chance romance trope and I would say this definitely falls in the category.

The main issue that the Brothers have been dealing with is being pursued by Dr. Isobel Madison and Sheriff Cobb. This is due to the fact that apparently the boys, among others, were genetically engineered creations of Madison's that she created as kind of a super-soldier. I honestly never understood how she actually planned to get the men to cooperate once she brought them back into her hold. I'm assuming she'd experiment on them against their will, but it always kind of felt as though they were expected to just willingly come walking right back into her clutches and commence being good little soldiers. We are reminded again and again that the doctor was psychotic, so I suppose these thoughts of cooperation could be put down to that fact, but I wish, overall, that these ideas had a more plausible context.

Also, after the story of Denver, Heath, and Ryker's childhood was reiterated again and again throughout the series, it seems like Zanetti wanted to add a further twist to the story. While this twist did round out what we knew of the boys' past and did add a little depth to the history, I would have appreciated it more if we maybe got a subtle hint about it previously. To be fair, and honest, it's possible we did get a hint and I just don't remember, but to me it read as something that was specifically chosen to be put into this final book, and kind of a final punch I guess. I just think it would have had more of a punch if the implications were made more relevant early on, hearkening back to the idea of plausible context above.

Overall, I've enjoyed this series. The way it was set up, the action was thrilling and the pacing was fast with very little downtime. Our heroes were seemingly always moving from one crisis to the next, and Zanetti handles these instances very seamlessly. Denver's story follows this same pattern that the previous two books, but it was the already set-up connection between him and Noni that really made the story for me. Zanetti deftly balances the way Denver and Noni have to work out the past in order to move forward and the undeniable chemistry between them while all the chaos is hitting them from all directions. It's like their relationship is the eye of the storm. Calm within, but still facing the challenges of what is going on outside.

If you like your romances with some thrills and suspense or vice versa, this series is right up your alley.

Twisted Truths by Rebecca Zanetti is the third book in her Blood Brothers series. Though the books can be read as stand alones I would definitely recommend reading them in order as they face their biggest enemy in this final book. The story would be richer and we get to see the depth of the bonds these brothers share. I am a Rebecca Zanetti fan and I loved seeing how she tied all the threads together in Twisted Truths.

This is the story of Denver. Denver Jones is the quiet brother. No one knows what goes on in his mind most times but he is definitely one of the most lethal soldiers. Denver left Noni for her own good but he hasn't been able to forget her. When Noni is in danger he will do anything to protect her- even risk his own life. I loved Denver. He was so protective of his family. He always tries to do the right thing even if it means sacrificing his own happiness.

Then we have Noni. Noni was such a sweetheart. She was heart broken when Denver left her without a word and she has tried to pull the pieces together. When Noni's infant niece is kidnapped she knows the only person who can help get her back is Denver. She is ready to do anything to get her niece back safely even if it means being in close quarters with Denver again.

Rebecca Zanetti writes an excellent second chance romance. Denver and Noni have so many unresolved feelings for each other. There is a strong connection between them and the sparks are on fire. There is just enough angst threaded through to make us understand the emotions Noni was going through and while Denver may come off as stoic at times, he is anything but where Noni is concerned.

Like her previous books Twisted Truths is filled with twists and turns. We get to see a lot of action and there are definitely some surprises in store for everyone. The danger is real and Dr. Madison is after her boys. If you enjoy action packed romantic suspense books I'd highly recommend the Sins Brothers and the Blood Brothers series by Rebecca Zanetti. I am looking forward to reading more from her in the future.

I first fell in love with Rebecca Zanetti's books when I read the Sin Brothers series, and the Blood Brothers spinoff series has been another wonderful set of stories! Ryker and Heath have had their turn in the spotlight, and now Denver gets his chance.

Denver met Noni when he was on a case in Alaska. Despite his best intentions, he fell in love with her but he knew that his past would eventually catch up to him so he did what he thought was best: he walked away without saying goodbye in an attempt to keep her safe. Unfortunately he only ended up breaking both their hearts in their process, and his brothers worried about him when he fell into the bottle in an attempt to drown the heartache. Now he has to pull himself together though because Noni has just put them both in immediate danger by posting pictures of him all over the Internet in an attempt to track him down. She may still be harboring some serious anger toward him but she has a need for his help that pushes it to the side for a moment.

Noni has not gotten over the way Denver walked out on her, but when her foster sister Sharon's baby is kidnapped by her gang-banger poor excuse for a father after Sharon ODs, Noni knows her only hope of finding baby Talia alive is with Denver's assistance. She saw firsthand how he was able to accomplish feats others couldn't, but despite their time together she truly knows very little about him - as he intended. She is completely unprepared when he shows up in the middle of the night at the crappy motel she is staying in, but their rocky reunion has to take a backseat to flying bullets when the gang tracks her down as well. The action is non-stop from that point forward, but the hurt simmering under the surface won't wait to be addressed. Noni pushes him to the breaking point knowing that she hasn't seen his true depth of emotion, but the intensity she sees in him when he is at the brink of breaking both frightens and excites her. When she finally convinces him to tell her the truth of his childhood and his reality, she isn't sure how to process it all. She can't deny that the story rings with truth as he tells it, but it is all a bit much to take in- and oh wait, more bullets are flying!

The tension is high between trying to track down Talia before she disappears forever, the gang members hunting them down, and Madison and Cobb tightening the net as they search for Denver, his brothers and the Gray brothers. Family ties mean everything, and trying to find a way to keep all of Denver's family and Noni's family safe may mean the ultimate sacrifice before all is said and done because Madison is unnaturally fixated on bringing Denver back into the fold. As much as his heart yearns to keep Noni for his own and to be there for her and Talia when they get her back, he is hesitant to make promises he cannot keep so he has no choice but to enjoy the moments they do have now. He and Noni sizzle on the pages as they both melt your heart and break it a little too.

At the same time, the brothers are preparing for a final assault on Madison to hopefully end their time on the run and find a way to enjoy a somewhat normal future. Heath, Ryker and Denver have some touching moments as do as Denver and Jory as they try to figure out if they are in fact blood relations. I was glad to see that the final showdown was not a one-and-done moment so to speak because that would have been too easy after all they went through. Instead the conclusion to their lifelong battle was well written and was fitting for the journey taken to get there. I absolutely do not want to say goodbye to this series, but Twisted Truths was an amazing end to the series and I can only hope we may see the Jones and Gray brothers again in the future in some way

Romantic Suspense lovers, don’t even think about missing this sexy, action packed powerhouse. Noni and Denver’s chase to find a kidnapped baby while outsmarting Denver’s past will blow you away.

Noni is frantic and angry. Furious at the man who stole her heart when he left without a word a year back. Mad at the only man who can help her get Talia, her kidnapped niece, back. She doesn’t have a choice though and she won’t give one to Denver either.

Leaving Noni was the hardest thing Denver had ever done. It was the right thing to do though. Cut all ties to the woman he loved or risk putting her in danger from the people looking for him and his brothers. But protecting her and her niece from a gang of criminals is his priority no matter how much his past threatens to catch up with him. Can he protect Noni and Talia and outmaneuver the sadistic Sheriff Cobb and sociopath Dr. Isobel Maddison?

Denver, Noni and the entire Blood brothers and Gray brothers gang race against time to not only get the infant to safety but also put an end to their lifelong enemies.

The end of a series, a great series is always bittersweet. You want everyone to get their happy ending but at the same time you want to keep reading about the great characters you’ve learned to love. On the plus column we get to catch up with the entire crew! Guys, girls, grandparents and kids and even detective Malloy! I loved that he had an important role in the story. There’s also a lot of action, a lot of fighting against guilt, a lot of understanding and love and of course delicious sexy times between flying bullets. In reality, the only down side is the fact that it’s the end. But I’m sure whatever Rebecca writes next will be just as engaging.

This is a brilliant conclusion to an action packed romantic suspense series. It’s been a while since I’ve read a series like this, explosively written, with an electrifying plot with unforeseen twists, strong character development and so many thrills and sexiness that had me glued to my eReader from start to finish. A surefire source of reading entertainment.

Twisted Truths is book #3 in the Blood Brothers series by Rebecca Zanetti. It is a standalone romantic suspense lovers with enjoy. Told from both points of view.

Don't let my ranking give you a bad impression of this book. I liked this book. I truly did. Three stars to me means that I enjoyed the book, and I'll remember it.
I've been following the Gray and Blood Brothers since before I was a blogger, and I have always enjoyed the stories. All the brothers hold a special place in my heart. I was hooked to my Kindle, wanting to know what would happen next.
Noni and Denver had incredible chemistry together, and I loved the story development. Since this book was the final brother, I was anticipating the book would be a bit longer than the others, and I was correct. However, at times, I felt the story was dragging and could have been cut down a bit.
The Dr and the Sheriff are back and worse than ever. The book was FULL of twists and turns even I didn't see coming! I loved it! But there were a few times I felt the story was extended unnecessarily. Denver has to make some choices, and a few times, I felt he took the wrong path, making things harder on himself later.
Overall, I truly loved this book, and if you've been following this group of soldiers, you will not be disappointed.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review.

I've been looking forward to the final book in the Blood Brothers trilogy. Well...I'm not sure if it's the final final - we may see these characters later in another Zanetti set of books. Denver is who this book focuses on of the three blood brothers.

At some point Denver met Noni in Alaska on another case. Now they're together again so he can help her find the baby she's been entrusted to raise. The child was kidnapped by the sperm donor and is a nasty man who is connected with child sex slavery.

No matter how much Noni and Denver want to fight their attraction - it's boiling over. Scratch an itch for a moment or for the duration of the case? I think they both know their relationship can't be pushed aside. Though there are quite a few entities in Denver's life that are just about to come to a head.

The stuff is about to hit the fan too. The drama in this book is set to keep you on edge. I think you'll enjoy reading this edition of the Blood Brothers. The secrets of this trilogy are revealed in this book. So you should definitely read the first two before you read this one - if you haven't already.

While this was not my favorite of the series books it did resolve the series and tied everything up pretty nicely. These books definitely should not be read out of order. The Sin Brothers and the Blood Brothers series are built on top of each other and though Zanetti gives some background in each book, you will miss the full experience and history if you don't indulge in reading the series from the beginning.
This is a second chance romance and I loved catching up with the characters from earlier stories.

Twisted Truths tells the story of Denver Jones, a private detective who has been searching for the truth his whole life. His childhood is a difficult and frightening experience. Raised in a boy’s home he knows enough to know his “caregivers” were not who they seemed, and the home a front for something more sinister. The only blessing to arise from his childhood is the unbreakable bond he has with his “brothers.”

His adult life has been spent blighted by the ghosts that continue to haunt him. His brief solace came with the relationship he had with a woman he had hoped to build a life with. The realisation that he would never be free not only put an end the relationship, but instigated his mission to vanquish his ghost when they threaten his woman once and for all.

Noni is not over the man who unceremoniously walked out of her life with no real explanation. She much prefers to draw on her anger towards him then the rejection of him walking out as it soothes the pain she still feels. Although Denver was notoriously mysterious she felt a deep connection to him and in the nightmare situation she finds herself in, it’s only him she can think of to help her in her crisis.

It’s been a while since I’ve read a good action packed romance, and I wasn’t going to let the fact I was jumping feet first into the third book in a series stop me. If that wasn’t risky enough, as well as being new to the series, I’m a first time reader of Rebecca Zanetti. Luckily my risk paid off, Zanetti‘s writing style held immediate appeal and along with the engaging prologue I knew almost instantaneously I was onto a winner.

This is the third book in the series and I would recommend that you read them in order. While it isn't totally necessary, you'll gain more from the story if you know who all of the players are.

This is Denver's story. A long time ago, he fell in love and when he realized that his life would never be normal, he knew without a shadow that he had to leave his love behind, even if it meant hurting her. But with his past catching up to him and his love searching for him in a very public manner, Denver has no choice – he has to find Noni and protect her.

Noni loved Denver with everything that she had. She was destroyed when he left her behind. However, now she needs his expert ability and will do anything to find him. She has a baby depending on her – someone she loves desperately and needs to save.

When Denver and Noni come back together, despite their history, Noni isn't going to just fall into his bed and Denver knows that he is only there to help her out and then he'll have to leave again, breaking Noni's heart all over.

But with Sheriff Cobb and Isobel hot on their trail, Denver and his family have to fight on two fronts.

This is a fast-paced story with a lot going on. There are a lot of secondary characters that make the story work well. Denver's family pulls together, Noni's family pulls together, and when everyone is alert, the fight finally comes to a peak. I really enjoyed this story and loved the result of the series (if this is the end... however, I wouldn't be sad if more books came along).

Sarah – ☆☆☆☆
The final book in this series is an action-packed winter adventure. This is Denver’s book. He is the youngest of the three brothers, a quiet presence in the first two books. While the series builds towards an exciting showdown between Dr. Madison, Sheriff Cobb, and the brothers, Denver is also trying to help his ex-girlfriend, Noni, find a kidnapped child. The two stories soon tangle together as Denver and Noni find themselves trapped between two dangerous enemies.

I loved the speed and the complexity of this story. The action doesn’t stop, and I loved the many revelations that answered unresolved questions in the first two books. The book doesn’t stand alone – the relationship between Dr. Madison and the brothers has already been established and explored through the first two books and I’m not sure new readers would be able to follow the story at this point.

I didn’t enjoy the romance between Denver and Noni as much as I enjoyed the action and adventure elements of the story. Between chasing gangbangers and evading the evil scientist and her genetically modified soldiers, there isn’t much time for actual relationship building. So the connection between Denver and Noni feels sexually charged but I didn’t believe in the emotional intimacy or in the proposed happily ever after. It feels a little bit insta-love and I kept questioning a relationship built on stolen moments between bullets and explosions.

I’ve enjoyed this series from the start. The exciting mix of action, conspiracy science, and romance makes for addictive reading. And while I was completely satisfied with the resolution, I love that the author leaves herself room for a possible continuation or spinoff in the future.

This is a must read for all the those fans of the Sin Brothers and of course the newer Blood brothers. It's a sad moment in many ways as it seems the journey is over for now but what a ride it's been .
This series has been a little belter with pantomime villains that just don't seem to want to quit. Dr Madison has been hanging over these characters lives like a bad smell with her manipulative conniving tactics but her lover Sheriff Cobb doesn't care for her science no, he's just all out now for revenge. So when Noni put up a photo on the internet of Denver in the hope that he will help her she has no idea that she's actually about to give away his location! Denver walked away from Noni once but can he do it again? Or will everything just fall apart?
I've loved these big tough brooding males who have had such truly abysmal childhoods and it's been fun watching them fall for dare I say what are sometimes quite uppity females . The ever present badguys quietly encroaching have constantly added to the mix with at times quite shocking outcomes. Yes this is technically the story of Denver and Noni but honestly it's all about the 'feels' that these incredibly passionate guys bring to the party. This was a wonderful end to a series that has been both thoroughly entertaining whilst at the same time thought provoking.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

There is danger and thrills galore in the final Blood Brothers book and that’s not to mention the turbulent romance.

Denver is confronted with the past when Noni a past romantic interest brings attention to their connection and puts herself in the cross hairs of the brothers’ enemies. Denver and Noni are strong, well defined characters that reach and grab readers by the heart strings as they battle with lots of emotional turmoil and dangerous encounters with some pretty nasty characters from both of their pasts. The romance is fiery hot with lots of passion and conflict which had me rallying behind the characters as they struggled to find a happy ending to their troubles.

Noni needs help with a daring task that makes her a target for some dangerous gang members and Denver, along with his blood brothers are still trying to stop the evil doctor that totally screwed with their lives. Noni and Denver’s life become one thrilling adventure as readers become caught up in their story when one hazardous and adrenaline pumping conflict after another keeps the characters on the run.

This fast paced and electrifying conclusion is chock full of hot and hunky men as the brothers are joined by the brothers from the Sin Brothers series as they come together to try to end the vile doctor and the despicable sheriff’s reign of terror. There was definitely not way for me put this story down as I was enthralled with the danger and the gravity to their situation from beginning to end.

The Sin Brothers is a favorite series of mine and now the Blood Brothers has become equally as loved and while I hate to see it end, I am quite pleased with the ending. I can’t wait to find out what Rebecca Zanetti has in store for us next.

Plot-driven with somewhat undeveloped characters

I would like to thank Rebecca Zanetti, Forever/Grand Central Publishing/Hachette Book Group, and NetGalley for allowing me to read an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Desperate to find the baby who suddenly became her daughter, Noni Yuka tracks down the man who a year ago left in the dark of night without so much as a word, shattering her heart. If anyone can find her baby, it’s Denver Jones.

Denver left Noni for good reason—he’s being hunted, and he didn’t want her to become prey. But she bursts back into his life, and he’s torn. He doesn’t want her caught in the crosshairs…but he doesn’t want to let her go, either.
__

Word of caution—this not only wraps up the Blood Brothers trilogy, but it finishes the overarching plot from Sins Brothers as well. The heroes of all seven books are brothers of the heart, and as such are involved in each other’s books. I recommend starting at the beginning with Forgotten Sins, because I think if you do you’ll find the end of this one much, much more satisfying. Twisted Truths is a good book on its own, but it’s obvious this is the end of a much bigger story.

This is a plot-driven narrative. There’s a lot going on. Zanetti was meticulous in her construction of a fast-paced, action-packed plot. Man, does it move. Not a boring moment to be had. I started reading and I did not stop. But unfortunately, the uber-strong plot left the characters, and their romance, somewhat undeveloped. In Zanetti’s defense, it’s really hard to pull off a strong plot as well as well-rounded characters; she chose to focus on the plot, and that’s okay. Honestly, I enjoyed this book A LOT, semi-weak characters notwithstanding.

By somewhat undeveloped, I mean we didn’t dive deep into Denver and Noni’s lives. We really only knew what was relevant to the plot. Their romance was a bit of a cheat because most of it took place off-camera a year ago. We didn’t witness their meet-cute or watch them get to know each other and fall in love. They already knew each other, knew they loved each other, and the plot for their romance was basically them wavering on the decision to get involved again or not. And their love got a bit lost amid all the action and suspense. Despite the lack of “origin story,” if you will, I still found the rekindled intimacy between them satisfying in lieu of a courtship.

I liked Denver quite a bit. Like Noni, I found his hidden sweetness endearing. I loved that he wasn’t a talker; neither am I, so I related. He had a massive guilt complex and he wanted badly to live happily ever after with Noni and Talia, he just didn’t think he’d survive to do so. We knew more about Denver because it was his story; the main threat/antagonist was tied to his past. We were told about his traumatic childhood, and we were told said childhood haunted him as an adult (naturally). But what do we know about the fifteen years between his escape from the boys’ home and the present? He runs a private investigations business with his brothers, and one case took him to Alaska, where he met Noni and fell in love. That’s about it.

I liked Noni (Nah-nee? Noh-nee?), because she was very down-to-earth, and her reactions were realistic. She hadn’t experienced true violence or horror in her life, and she was understandably naive. When faced with extreme danger, the likes of which she’d never before experienced, she didn’t turn into a mary sue warrior goddess or anything. She went into shock. I appreciated that.

BUT her background makes no sense to me. There’s either missing pieces or frank incontinuity. Did her aunts Franny and Verna take in foster kids? Was Noni talking about their home-home or the foster home when she said Sharon passed through multiple times? That would explain how Noni was taken in by Franny, a blood relative, right away after her parents’ deaths and yet spent a significant amount of time with a foster kid. But I don’t know for sure. Everything about Noni’s childhood and Sharon was very vague and not well explained. Ergo, undeveloped.

Zanetti’s writing was very smooth and intelligent, her integration of Noni and Denver’s plots seemless, and she gave her characters strong personalities that inspired sympathy and respect. I just wish I knew more about them. That said, I really, really want to read more of her work. She’s been on my radar for a couple years, but there’s just too few hours in the day, you know? The good news—the audiobooks for Sins Brothers and Blood Brothers are available to download through my library. *pumps fist*

Noooooooooo! Say it ain't so! This is the last one, the final book in the series! NOOOOOOOOOO!
I loved this series and the one before it, Blood Brothers and Sin Brothers. The series has been a rollercoaster ride of emotion and adventure. Denver Jones the last brother who has been pining after the woman he left behind gets a second chance but now she is exposed to the danger of Dr. Madison and Sheriff Cobb. Noni has her own problems to deal with and it getting her kidnapped niece out of the hands of her gang member drug dealing father Noni will do whatever it takes even if it means bring Denver into her life again.

Noni's idea was to plaster picture of Denver and her all over the place looking for him never knowing the trouble she was causing for her just as much as for him. Denver shows up ready to deal with his problems and completely unprepared for hers, but he is who he is and takes it full on telling his brothers to handle Cobb and Madison and he'll handle the missing baby. Being this close to Noni again and having her in this much trouble reminds him of why he left in the first place and also why it was so hard to leave her.

Between the gang and the elite soldiers out to get them it's pretty much non stop action and when it's not action it's an emotional rollercoaster ride with Noni and Denver. I wish there was a bit more sexual tension between the two of them, let it build up some more before they had sex, 'cause that happened fairly soon. You could see the chemistry there between them but I like sexual tension it builds until the sex is wow, not that Noni and Denver needed any help with that they are pretty hot all on their own, I just think the sexual tension could have been better.

With Denver's past there is a big secret that gets revealed, I kinda guessed it so it wasn't that surprising to me but it did add a nice twist. The action is always well written and the sex as always HOT. Overall, WHY DOES IT HAVE TO END?????? I can just picture it now Talia and one of the boys. I mean there are four young brother's, jump into the future a little, hint hint nudge nudge wink wink.

4 1/2 STARS!

Exciting from start to finish! With the final book in her Blood Brothers series, Rebecca Zanetti takes us on an explosive finale with Denver's story. We get to meet the love that it has been torturing him to have left ... and get wrapped in a plot to help her track down kidnappers at the same time that Isobel and Sheriff Cobb are closing in on where the brothers have been hiding. The supporting cast has been strong throughout the series so we are familiar with most of the players already going in. The ending was slightly abrupt, but overall a deserving send off to the Blood Brothers!

Denver Jones walked away from Noni Yuka a year ago and has lived with the pain of doing so ever since. She is still burrowed deep into his heart and soul, so when he gets a message from her that she needs her help, he's there. The only problem is, her method of contacting him exposed his whereabouts to the past that is trying to take him down!

Noni is desperate to track down her kidnapped niece and she keeps hitting roadblocks. The only person she can think of to help her is Denver. She might hate the fact that he broke her heart when he walked out on her, but she will do anything to get Talia back in her arms ... even beg the devil!

My 4.5 star review is posted at the following links below

4.5 stars
Denver had a short love affair with Noni a year ago, but he had to leave her. Now she is advertising over the web for his help and putting a target on both of their backs. He has no choice but to swoop in to save her from his own enemies and help her deal with the new ones she is making. She is trying to locate her kidnapped infant niece and the kidnappers are a dangerous gang.

They have a lot to talk about and unresolved issues, guilt, anger, and pain. And they have enemies from his past now on even higher alert and her enemies are hot on their trail as well. They will have to put their unresolved feelings behind them and work together to keep each other safe and complete their objectives. But being together also brings back the sexual tension and chemistry that got them involved in the first place.

But now that Noni knows more about the real Denver versus the persona he adopted in the past, it is obvious that he is more dangerous, deadlier, and more charismatic than ever. They spark, challenge, and fight. She is not the sweet, gullible girl he knew and is not afraid to push him. Denver has always been the quieter, broodier, more controlled, and possibly the most special of all of them. He may have made himself leave Noni once to protect her, but it nearly killed him. He has been coping poorly with avoidance, alcohol, and withdrawing from life. But losing her because he could not keep her safe is not an option. He is not sure he will be able to handle losing her again at all.

But in order to keep them, and his brothers and their new loves safe, they will all have to find a way to defeat their enemy once and for all because enemies like theirs will not stop until they have them in custody again. And that is just not an option for Denver, Ryker, or Heath...or for their new extended family the Gray brothers Matt, Shane, Nate, and Jory either. They are all in this together and have common enemies and a desire to live their lies free from constant threats.

Denver was always the Doctor's "special one" and he seems to be the one she particularly wants. He has guilt about their past and wants to keep all of his loved ones safe. He was always the quieter one and held things in, but feels deep. He thought he needed to hold back as to lessen the hurt for Noni, but as she shows her strength and continues to push him, the real heart of Denver emerges more and more. He was strong, a fighter, protective, and ready to take on their enemies and sacrifice himself for others. But Noni and his brothers and extended family aren't going to let him be a lone wolf.

This is the final book in this series and brings back his brothers, The Gray brothers, their significant others, their enemies, and finally brings their main story arch to a close. It is full of tension, suspense, danger, and completely action packed. It seemed they would barely have a breath to recover between one situation to another with multiple antagonists and threats and a constant motion and skirmishes. But it brings us to the final showdown with the crooked Sheriff Cobb and evil Doctor Madison that has been coming through both of these series and resolves all the story lines.

First the Sins Brothers and now the Blood Brothers… I’m down to my last brother and book of the series. Reader gal having a bittersweet moment… But a moment is all I get because I’m still feeling a bit of a blissful reaction to the final scene. Family- of the brooding, big, and strong protector variety get me every time. Twisted Truths wrapped things up splendidly.
Review

Twisted Truths is the third and final book in the Blood Brothers series. It does not make for a good standalone or out of order. This whole series actually works best following the earlier Sins Brothers for which this group is a spin off.

Denver is the final Blood Brother to get his story, but its also a culmination of all their stories- Ryker, Heath and all the Gray brothers before them. Denver is hot on the trail of Dr. Madison and sadistic, vengeful former Sheriff Cobb when he is sidetracked by a woman from his past. He left Noni in an effort to protect her from the fallout in his life yet here she is naively putting herself in the crosshairs of Madison and Cobb when she puts a picture of them up all over the internet in a desperate effort to find him. Denver spends the book racing ahead of the danger of his and Noni’s enemies and sorting out his past while knowing that his future is a showdown with Madison.
Noni, on the other hand, had no idea what drove Denver away and she’d rather be mad then hurt though, she is that- very much. She goes with her guts that to get a baby girl back safely before a gang does bad things, she must call on Denver- ruthless, cold Denver- to help her get her goddaughter back.

This book was a blend of emotions and action and oh yes, the passion. Its on the go, but it doesn’t stint on the character and couple development. The author ties up all the strings in this one, but its got a few twists to keep the reader engaged to see how its all going to go down.

I love the story, the series, and even the formula, but I do have to say that one has to like the formula to appreciate the series when it comes to the romance. Gutsy, stubborn, and hurting heroine vs. tough, vulnerable, over-protective alpha male. See? what’s not to like?
And I did like them, though, Noni’s ‘I have to push your buttons because they are there’ behavior when she was mad made me get a little restive. She got past it and then I was all in. Denver and Noni were a great pair and I loved seeing them help each other heal and bring out the best in each other. And that doll of a baby sure had me swooning when she was in Denver’s arms. These lonely guys sure do make for good family material.

All in all, I was engaged and struggled to put the book down for real life intrusions. It was a strong story alone, but also a fantastic finish for the series. Those who love a blend of passionate romance and heart-stopping action should give the Sins and Blood Brothers a try.

twisted truths brings the blood brothers series to a thrilling conclusion. dr. madison and sheriff cobb continue their quest to hunt down the genetically blessed soldiers she created in a lab, and they combine the quest to save denver's ex's adopted child from a black market auction with tracking down madison and cobb and finally eliminating the threat they've lived with for far too long.

there's a lot going on. but the most important thing is probably the fact that noni has dropped back into denver's life. he gave her up in order to protect her. he gave her up for his brothers. but now that she's back, he's not sure he can let her go. but he's also not sure where the quest to destroy madison and cobb will take him.

there are twists and turns and revelations. and there's some really steamy make up sex for denver and noni. and where this ends may have been scripted in the stars, but it is entirely satisfying.

4.5 stars

Noni and Denver had a brief affair while Denver was working in Alaska, and even though she hasn’t seen him or heard from him since he disappeared, Noni needs his help. She knew him as a quiet PI, diligent and focused on his clients. She needs help locating her kidnapped neice. But her attempts to locate him have put her in the crosshairs of more danger than she had on her own.

Denver hasn’t forgotten how close Noni was to breaking through his walls. He tries to forget how it felt to be with her, but no amount of alcohol has dulled the memories and even his brothers can tell a difference since he left her behind. When she posts a picture online, he fears she may have made herself a target for his enemies.

There are so many unresolved hurts and feelings between them, conversations that were never held, explanations kept secret. Denver has never been one known for being conversational, and even though Noni has found him again, he only shares what she needs to keep her safe -- just enough to make her feel like she knows, not enough to get her into more trouble.

I really enjoyed getting to know Noni and what is important to her. She is determined and fierce, a prerequisite when dealing with the Jones brothers. While we hadn’t met her in previous books, Denver referenced her on a few rare occasions, and his brothers knew there was something there even if Denver refused to admit it.

There is a lot going on in this storyline, from the search for Noni’s niece to the constant threat of Dr. Madison or Sheriff Cobb finding the brothers. I loved how the different threads spin around, keeping all the characters on their toes and keeping Denver torn between finding an innocent and exacting vengeance.

I couldn’t help feel like this was a great ending to the series. As this is the final installment of the Jones brothers’ stories, they are joined in the action by the Grey brothers, their mutual enemies, and even some new threats. All the threads that have been left hanging throughout the series are tied up nicely in a way that left me feeling hopeful about the whole group of men and their new families.

I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Noni and Denver had a thing but then he walked away for reasons she didn’t know. Now she needs his help getting back her infant niece that has been kidnapped by her gang member father. Desperation has her seeking out his help in ways that bring Denver and his brothers to the very unwanted attention of Sheriff Cobb and Dr. Madison. No matter how hard he tries, Denver hasn’t been able to get over Noni. Now she needs his help and he can’t say no. The danger is coming at them from all sides and it’s a race for them to find the baby before gets them.

Finally! So many questions were answered in Twisted Truths I literally had a mental checklist going on in my mind of all the questions I needed answered. Now I know the story of why Denver is the way he is. His silence, his skills, his secrets. So much make sense now. I always had a suspicion that there was something more to them being genetically manipulated by Madison. All the signs were there the question was just who. Dr. Madison, I know she was a scary one but she really is once crazy bio-tch.

Twisted Truths brings all the characters together taking them on one non-stop, action-packed ride. So many HEA for everybody - Ryker, Heath and Denver and their loves Montana family, Detective Malloy. Quite the lovefest. I never did read the Sin Brothers Series and now that I know them better I can’t wait to read their stories. And those not so deserving of love, get their just rewards. It was the perfect ending to this series. Action packed ending so many lingering questions answered, I honestly couldn’t ask for a better book.

A spectacular end to a trilogy which will leave you both delighted and satisfied.

Poor Denver. For the first two books of the trilogy we have seen the result of his leaving behind Noni Yuka, who he fell hard for on his last mission in Alaska. Denver might have been playing a part, but his feelings weren’t part of the plan and Denver left Noni behind for her own safety. Since his return, he has been drinking heavily to get past the pain and loss of her. While he didn’t begrudge his brothers finding love and keeping their women close, you could almost feel a hint of judgment that Denver left Noni to keep her safe, so why were his brother’s taking the risk with the women they loved.

When Noni tries to find Denver by posting a picture of the two of them all over the internet and asking him to contact her, Denver knows he won’t be the only one who sees it. Denver knows that Noni has no idea she has just painted a giant target on her head. Denver has to get to Noni first and find out why she is desperately trying to find him before someone else reaches her first and uses her as bait against Denver and his brothers.

Denver and his brothers have been on the run since they were young. Ryder, Heath and Denver are each orphans who found each other while at a boys home which was run by a man with a heavy hand and enjoyed physically abusing the boys. When the man took Denver and another boy aside for a “talking to,” Ryder and Heath knew they would never see their blood brother again if they didn’t intervene. They were too late to save the other boy, but Ryder and Heath managed to kill the man, save Denver and they all escaped after burning down the building. The bigger problem was that the man’s brother was the local sheriff, who also liked to abuse the boys. Denver, Ryder and Heath were forced to keep under the radar all these years while the Sheriff hunted them.

What has helped them the most was the fact that the sheriff wanted revenge against them, more than justice, so he never sent out a BOLO. He has been stalking them on his own. At least until recently. The sheriff is tired of always being a step behind and the brothers slipping from his grasp. Now he is starting nationwide manhunt for the men.

The brothers didn’t end up together by a happy accident either. Dr. Madison was working with the General in the Sin Brothers trilogy to create supersoldiers, but Heath, Denver and Ryder were her own personal experiment. She made certain to keep them together to see if they too would bond like the Grey brothers in the prior series. Dr. Madison is using her considerable resources to find the brothers as well, but her plans might be more awful than the bloody death promised them by the Sheriff. Madison wants to continue her experimentations and her work creating supersoldiers using Ryder, Heath and Denver’s DNA, and their willing participation is not required.

The Sheriff and Dr. Madison are working together and they are closing in on the brothers. We get a very satisfying ending to the trilogy, which will also bring in help from the Dean brothers (Sin Brothers series) because you know you want it.

Also, kudos to Rebecca for making the danger feel real and also having a reasonable and believable explanation of how the Sheriff and Madison were finding the brothers. So many of these chase stories leave me feeling unsatisfied and asking “What? How did they find them so fast?”

This story was full of tension, excitement and sweet romance. While you can read this as a standalone, it will then lack the satisfaction you would receive if you were reading it as the final chapter of the trilogy.
