I have no idea why I waited so dang long to read this, because I looooooved it! I adored Griffin and Michael in their full length novel, and this collection of stories just adds so much. Wonderful, sexy read!
Simply exquisite and generates a longing to return to the Original Sinner world. When it comes to BDSM erotica, Ms. Reisz is one of my favourite authors. I cannot explain why it takes me forever to get to her books since I love her stories so much. I think part of it is that I adore the world to such a degree that I don't want to have it end. If I keep the book waiting on my shelf, there is always something I can return to and see new.
This collection is astounding and moves me to tears at times. There is something in the way that Ms. Reisz writes that speaks to me. Her ability to create relatable situations is impressive. Her characters have gone through things I myself have questioned and gone through. There are several instances in this collection where I loved how BDSM was explained. Specifically, I loved the scene between Griffin and Michael's mother. Griffin explained that Michael is from another "planet". Not the Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus. This is the Kinky people are from Saturn. The way Griffin explained how Michael didn't fit in because he's from Saturn and how he couldn't breathe, that could have been me decades ago. I wish someone understood and would explain to my parents back when they felt I turned into a rebellious teenager.
One part which brings me to tears is how Michael accidentally committed suicide. Was it intentional or was it really that he was at such a low point that his body took over and found an out for him? I understood this scene so painfully that I could feel it. The confusion and almost peaceful state Michael went into - almost a suicidal Zen is perfectly captured. The fear Søren exhibits as he comes running to Michael's rescue is moving. The agonized screaming in the background as a mother sees her beloved child dying in front of her is a punch to the gut. This one scene is so flawlessly executed, it is as if I was there and experiencing it from 3 different view points in a visceral manner. I love it.
These short stories which revolve around Michael are poignant, revealing and intimate. I loved learning how Griffin first met Kingsley and brought into the fold. His adoption into Saturn is a lovely insight to where at the end of the collection, we see a mature Griffin who now runs the world Kingsley built. I want to work at this place. I want to work for Griffin. This would be a dream job and yet it does not exist. I am in awe of how Ms. Reisz creates her world and characters. This collection is a treat. This book is highly recommended to readers who both love the Original Sinner series and ones who haven't read it yet.
I typically do not read books like this. I thought the characters were fleshed out with good backstories, the plot was thickening on a steady level and the dialogue was interesting. It was a good book.
Michael and Griffin are my favorite of the sinners, I love them all but these two have my heart. And maybe its because they are the most vanilla, therefore I relate to them a bit more, but OMG these stories are just amazing because these characters are amazing.
I have to say that for me its the way Griffin cares for Michael that makes all the difference. I think that the fact that he is willing to be whatever it is that Michael needs is absolutely beautiful. This book delves into all the issues that can arise when dealing with people who have lives and active ones outside of the kink world. We see Michael be a college student, and have to deal with not just being kink, but having an older boyfriend who is rich and often overbearing. We see Griffin have to love Michael enough to give him the space he needs so that he can be as amazing as only he can be. We see Griffin take one trying to explain kink to Michael's mother which had to be the most awkward and awesome thing I have ever read, because Griff explains to her as only Griff could. We also see the down side to all of this. To having to constantly be in the world and not of the world. We see the two men struggle at time to express their internal conflict, and to express their love for each other. I think Michael comes alive in this book in ways I never knew, Griff has always said what he wanted and meant, but Michael when he speaks says so much more. And I think the fact that Tiffany Reisz can continue to draw me into this world, and make be fall in love with these characters all over again is another example of her greatness. I have to say that this might be my most fave book of all, but I can only say that until the next one comes out.
Awesome addition to the Original Sinners universe.
I am a huge fan of the Original Sinners series and although I wouldn't recommend it to just anyone I would recommend it to lot's of people. The series has a die-hard following and Reisz is a fantastic author that deserves as much as exposure as she can get!
I really enjoyed this M/M BDSM book. With an interesting world, and well developed characters Michael’s Wings will not disappoint.
Michael's Wings was everything I needed and wanted in a collection of stories featuring my favorite Original Sinners couple, Michael and Griffin. I've had a soft spot for Michael since he was introduced in The Original Sinners because I connected with his confusion regarding both his sexual identity and masochistic tendencies. I was also suicidal and wish I had had someone like Nora to show me the ropes, pun totally intended.
Thank you, Tiffany, for giving us something more about Michael. I honestly don't think I have connected with a character more (in these regards) than I have with Michael.
Genre: MM Romance
Steamy?: Very
Cliffhanger?: No
Can be read as Standalone?: No. You must read at least the first two books in the Original Sinners series to know and learn the characters.

BEFORE:
I’ll be honest. I was very indifferent to Griffin and Michael in the Original Sinners series. I didn’t hate them but I also wasn’t really interested in them or their stories. My main reasons for wanting to read this book was because a.) Tiffany wrote it and b.) I hadn’t read a book of hers in a while (FULL DISCLOSURE: I still need to read books 6, 7 and 8 in the OS series).
AFTER:
I LOOOOVE GRIFFIN AND MICHAEL! This is a collection of novellas and scenes involving the two that helps you really get to know them and understand their connection and journey. I love the emotion and the banter and the… EVERYTHING! I seriously feel that I could never tire of these guys. This book was wonderful!
Additional note - I know we are warned to read the rest of the books in the series to avoid spoilers but I feel that the “spoilers” only fueled the fire under me to start reading the remaining books ASAP!
I love the Original Sinners series, and Søren, Nora and King are my favorite.
Griffin, well Griffin is Griffin. A lay back, sexy, with sense of humor Dominant. He's all about having fun, I never take him seriously, so it definitely took me by surprise that I end up love him so much, yes this book totally change my mind about Griffin.
This book is contained short stories around Griffin and Michael. Where everything started, what happens when they're break up, what happens after the Angel. This book has yummy bits of everything and has all the feelings and all the love, and my fav is the banter between all the characters, it makes me miss them more, the laughter, the joke, the kinky, yup I love it all.
If you're a fan of The Original Sinners series, you don't want to miss this one.
Awwww I love them!
I can't get enough of this couple ❤
Please Tiffany can you write an another book with them!
Michael's Wings was basically one of the best gifts Tiffany Reisz has ever written for me. Michael and Griffin are my boys and remain two of my absolute favorite characters in the Original Sinners series. I pretty much re-read/re-listen to The Angel at least once or twice a year to experience when they fell in love all over again.
I loved each of the stories in this anthology and can only say if you are fans of the series and of Michael and Griffin particularly, you need to hit one-click as soon as it appears on the page of your favorite retailer’s website. I had read some of the stories as freebies from Ms. Reisz on her website, but had missed a few as well. I only fell more in love with my boys with each story and absolutely loved the time we spent with Nora and Michael. I love that when Michael needs his Mistress, she is always there for him and that Griffin totally gets his need to be with and around Nora at times.
I still need to get the print copy to go on my Original Sinners shelf in my home library, but am so glad that I have Michael's Wings on my kindle so I can re-read over and over again each story about Griffin and Michael. I highly recommend Michael's Wings to all fans of the Original Sinners series, and also because of spoilers, suggest you be caught up on the series before reading, unless you don't care about reading spoilers from future books.

Review I so totally enjoyed this book. I love Griffin and Mick together. By far my favorite story was the final one. I love Christmas and seeing Griffin find peace at church, thanks to Søren, and then the strength from Nora, was just magical.
I will always love stories about these two. They're fun and in love and it's always hot.
As always with Tiffany Reisz, I am in awe of her crazy, convoluted mind. It's erotica, obviously, but it's so much more: well-written, witty, original, insightful and just plain funny. Once again, a wonderful reading experience beyond the norm for its genre.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Tiffany could write about these characters forever! I have a such a deep love for them as I have been reading since this series first published. I love how she is able to incorporate additional storylines to an already existing plot. This was a great little novella about Michael's strength and deep love for Griff. Thanks again Mistress Nora for giving us more.
Michael is one of my favorite characters in the Original Sinners books, and this collection of shorts centered on him and Griffin is sweet and fun. Nora and Søren and Kingsley show up (there's a wonderful conversation between Griff and Mick's mom, too) for some hijinks, and as usual, love and kink is mixed with hilarity, profound thought, and a lot of lube.
There are many reasons I love The Original Sinners. I won't go over them now because I've done that so many times, I've started to sound like a parrot. Suffice to say one of those reasons is that over the course of eight books, and who knows how many novellas and short stories, I've grown to love each and every one of the main Sinners, Michael and Griffin included, of course. The beginning of their romance was my favorite part of The Angel, so I couldn't be more glad that over the years since that book came out Ms. Reisz has been giving us stories about the couple with updates on how their relationship was progressing. Michael's Wings is a collection of those stories. Five of them used to be available on the author's website or elsewhere, one still is, and one story is new. They cover the start of Michael and Griffin's relationship, their first fight, the break, and their engagement. There is also one story without Michael, which chronologically comes first, so I'll start with that one.
Griffin in Wonderland takes place six years before the series' first book. In the story Griffin had left rehab too early, partied hard, punched an asshole, passed out and woke up hungover and with a man's boots on his chest. The man in question was Kingsley and he had some good advice: Griffin needed a new hobby. I do so love the stories where Kingsley invites people in need of a new hobby into his kingdom. His notorious townhouse and the kinksters in it are so much fun to read about from the perspective of a newcomer which Griffin was here. He was in Wonderland, and he was Alice, and by the time Kingsley with Eleanor's help demonstrated what his new addiction could be, Griffin had a heady feeling without having taken any substances and his mind was made up: he was in!
Seven years or so later, Griffin met Michael and they fell in love. Gauze takes place during this amazing book named The Angel, just after Michael and Griffin finally declared their feelings for each other. Griffin's gift to Michael — beautiful tattoos to cover ugly scars were fresh so his wrists were wrapped in gauze. It was a sight that led Michael down bad memory lane. Luckily, Griffin was there to bring him back to reality that was almost too good to be true: Griffin and Michael were officially a couple. And as the thoughtful master that he is, Griffin made sure Michael had a good association with gauze from there on. Like everything with these two characters, it was super sweet.
A Better Distraction , The Theory of the Moment and The Couch take place shortly after The Angel when Michael and Griffin were still figuring their relationship out.
In A Better Distraction they learned to communicate better. The previous weekend there was an incident, and ever since things were awkward between them. It was high time to put an end to the awkwardness. Plus, Griffin needed a distraction, and what better distraction than his beautiful sub. While Mick worked on his school assignment using Griffin as the subject, Griffin revealed something from his past which was pertinent to their current situation. The air was cleared and everything was right between them.
In The Theory of the Moment Griffin met Mick's mom Melissa, and it's actually told from her perspective. Over the lunch where she was going to conduct an interrogation to find out what she could about her son's boyfriend, she actually learned something very important about her son that allowed her to understand him better. Griffin painted an amusing picture of the kinky world he and Mick lived in for Melissa, and made it clear he would always be there for Mick. All in all, it was a beginning of a beautiful friendship.
The Couch marked Mick and Griffin's first fight. Michael wanted to blame the couch, their new, very expensive couch, but he couldn't. Not really. After the fight Griffin went out, and Michael was left in the apartment to freak out. What Micheal did whenever he was freaking out about something concerning his relationship with Griffin was talk to Nora, so that was what he did. His wise mentor calmed him down, and Griffin came back. They made up on the couch, of course.
Christmas in Suite 37A is 2014 Original Sinners Christmas story, and it's set during The White Years. Since the books in The White Years are primarily prequels, and have only small parts depicting the lives of the Sinners after The Mistress, I was glad this story started with Griffin visiting Nora and others in New Orleans. It was great to find out how happy they are in their HEAs, and I can't say how much I loved the scene where Griffin hugged Søren, saying "Cuddle me, big guy." Hilarious! Griffin, however, wasn't in the best of spirits at the beginning of the story. He was visiting Nora because he couldn't stand to be home without Mick. Mick had gone to Rome to spend a semester abroad, and they were on a break. With his relationship with Mick in question, he went to Nora to hide out at her place. Of course, Nora nudged him in the right direction. Griffin reached out to Mick, and Mick responded. Back in New York Griffin went to great lengths for his Michael to show how much he missed him, how much he loves him, without pressuring him. It was wonderful, sweet, and... magical.
Michael's Wings is the new novella. Griffin had popped the question, and ordered Mick not to give him an answer right away. As is the tradition, Michael flew to New Orleans to talk about it with Nora. Micheal figured it was better to obsess over his answer at Nora's than to obsess over it at home. He knew he did the right thing when he found himself in the dungeon with words The floggings will continue until morale improves hanging on a wall. His Mistress knew how to make her Angel feel better, and knew which questions to ask to help Michael find out what he truly wanted. After a thorough flogging and wax play his morale had indeed improved, and his answer was crystal clear. Decision made, he went back home and waited for Griffin to tell him what that answer was, and he found a perfect way to do it.
This year I reread The Red Years which includes The Angel, and it was better than the first time, and the second time. I could say the same about the stories from this collection. I've said this before, but it doesn't hurt to repeat it: I've always gotten more than I expected from these shorter stories. That's not an exaggeration. Every single one was better than I expected, and believe me, I expected a lot. They've been quite helpful in getting to know the Sinners better, and understanding their actions, especially in the beginning. Now they're a great and I guess the only way to find out what's going on with the Sinners, so I hope there will be many more of them in the future.
The Original Sinners......one of my All Time Favorite Series Ever. So anytime Tiffany Reisz wants to write about these characters I will read. Michael and Griffin are a fabulous couple and when Micheal is asked an important question by Griffin, a trip down to New Orleans is needed for Michael to think. With the help of Nora, Michael is able to clear his head and think with his heart. A fast and scrumptious read for TOS fans. Loved Loved Loved!!!!
More Griffin and Mick - YES PLEASE! I have loved these two since I first picked up The Angel and have devoured every short Tiffany Reisz releases for these two, I adore them and this book was just everything!
I love the dynamic between these characters, without a doubt Michael and Griffin love each other but they are two very different people. When Griffin proposes he knows Michael is going to need some time to think and to do that he goes to see Nora. The relationship between these three is so great, I loved seeing Michael and Nora talking with Nora again, and like always she delivers the perfect advice.
It's beautiful, funny, a little kinky and just makes my heart happy! These two are easily one of my favorite couples and to have these little looks into their lives is such a treat! In addition to the new novella, this book also contains the other shorts for these two and I recommend these two with my whole heart!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book courtesy of NetGalley
I'm a fan of the OS novels, and I like Mick and Griffin, but to me this new collection titled "Michael's Wings" wasn't anything special. Most of the stories have been available on the author's website for years. Still, M and G are a fantastic, sexy couple, who have lots of great, kinky sex. I also liked how the author managed to make a comment on society and perceptions/judgements in the first short story-Michael's Wings. Finally, Tiffany Reisz's writing is excellent. I know many people ask for more of the OS, for me, I say it is time to move on.
