Michael's Wings by Tiffany Reisz is a collection of short stories and novellas surrounding the relationship between Michael and Griffin of the Original Sinners series. Griffin has just proposed marriage and Michael doesn't know how to respond. Living as homosexual lovers is one thing and then as Domme and submissive is another. But to be married?

Michael leaves Griffin and rushes back to New Orleans and into the whips and arms of his Mistress Nora. Can she help him find the truth in his heart and his love for Griffin?

Tiffany Reisz and her Original Sinners series is one of the best erotic series to be found in this modern era and I am not exaggerating. Mistress Nora and Master and Lover, the Priest Soren are the center of a cast of characters whose lives are as interesting outside of the bedroom as they are within.

Michael has always been protected by Nora and his relationship with Griffin allowed him to explore not only his sexuality but his emotional feelings as well. With Griffin, he allowed himself to feel loved for once in his life and accepted without the sense of being wrong. Griffin also came into the relationship with his on set of issues and with Michael he has find the love he didn't even realize he was looking for.

This is what Reisz has done so well with her Original Sinners books. She has created a humanity within them that goes so far beyond their sexuality. She also proves once again, that her stories do not need Nora to make people care and want to read them.

If you are offended or made uneasy by male to male sex, then this is not for you. Because Reisz is not afraid to write honestly and emotionally for all her characters. While highly sexually charged, her novels are not solely created for titillation. Instead they are true emotional romances written in a world we may not understand. But the emotions that are shared are ones that we all hope to feel and hold dearly.

A beautiful addition to the series.

Loved to read the snippets about Griffin and Michael's relationship. A treat as always to get more about characters I've grown to love BUT major turn off about the poor editing and French translations. My King seriously lost his title and became a pauper speaking unrefined french. (even a two years old woud speak better than Kinglsey, honestly.)

Sigh. My favorite character in the Original Sinners might be Kingsley, but my favorite couple is definitely Griffin and Michael. They hold a special place in my reading heart, and I devoured Michael's Wings months ago on the day I received approval from the publisher via Netgalley, and I've read it again before writing this review.

In the title story, Michael goes to Nora for advice when Griffin decides to pop the question. He's just...not sure. And so begins a heart-to-heart talk with Michael, Nora style. It's kinky and sweet and goes right to the heart of Michael's worries because she knows what Michael needs as much as Griffin does. The friendships between these characters is what makes the series special for me, and it shines in Michael's Wings.

This story was like visiting with old friends, so if you haven't read the full Original Sinners series, you should probably get on that first. I don't want to spoil any of this for the reader, so I'm not going to say much more than this book is worth the price, just for this very special story.

Included are additional Griffin and Michael shorts that you may have seen in the past on Tiffany's website or social media special offers. It was great to read those again, and it makes Michael's Wings a sweet collection of sexy, kinky stories of friendship and love.

Definitely recommended for fans of the series. Loved it!

I've said it a million times, Tiffany Reisz has a gift. She has this way of seamlessly telling a story with humor, smart wit and hotness that burns up the pages. Michael's Wings may be a novella, but she still weaves a beautiful, hot and romantic story. If you've read the Original Sinners Series, you'll absolutely love these little snippets of Griffin and Michael's love story.

3.5 Heartfelt Stars
Prepare yourself for a wonderful collection of short stories from Michael and Griff with a cameo or two from Nora. Within the collection there were stories that melted my heart, others that made me smile and one or two that were rather hot and steamy!

I rather enjoy the idea of having something quick to devour so my preference for reading collections is to do so in between other books. This meant I have been reading Michael’s Wings a lot longer than I would normally read a book of this length. Michael’s Wings had the added bonus of a lover of the Original Sinners series revisiting a much loved couple.

Brace yourself for the beautiful mother and Griff moment in one of the stories. Considering Griff’s wild ways, his adoration for Michael has tamed him to the point of being able to put a mother’s worries at bay. Griff’s insistence of playing cupid for Michael’s mother was sweet and thoughtful but I got the impression it would be taking matters a tad too far for Michael!

While I don’t seek out MM romances, I don’t have a problem reading them. They can be some of the most smoldering hot reads out there but they are intense. There was one particular steamy story included that I found I didn’t enjoy because my escape comes through the plot, with the steamy scenes being a nice addition to the drama.

I loved that the relationship issues Michael and Griff encountered transcended MM relationships. The struggles they faced and their approach to overcoming their minor battles had a resounding universal appeal. Soren illustrated this succinctly with his homily that touched the heart of a non-believer.

The moment Griff brings his past, present and future together in his priceless Christmas Gift to Michael was on par with his attempts to impress a mother. By the time you reach the final story, you will be left with no doubt of the love this couple share. Reading about Griff’s charming ways was just the icing on the cake!

I never thought I'd love another pair like Soren and King but of course Tiffany Reisz steals my heart with Griffin and Michael. It was truly great to get to know these two so much more. We got more history and intimacy than we normally do. Don't fret, we still get plenty of kink with these two, along with a ton of banter which was super fun to read. This is a series of short novellas about Griff and Mic and Tiffany takes us on a trip down memory lane. What I loved the most is that we get so much about their relationship from "a break" which completely broke me! To how they reunited so very sweetly. Griff is romantic as heck even though he is a big tough dom, he's totally whipped lol They are hilarious and romantic and so ....normal lol

I really like that we were able to see Mick grow. From a timid shy boy, to being self assured and fully comfortable in sub mode. "A human being was a matrix of wants, needs, and desire and when the pain reached its peak, michael wanted nothing he needed nothing, he desired nothing." Mick has found his 'place' and its so satisfying to read about it. Griffin had a lot to learn and had to grow too, I am very happy with how it all played out.

Thank you Tiffany! for bringing the others in, even if it was just a little. There is a Halloween scene in New Orleans and I felt like I was right there with them all. I love that we can see how important they are too each other. Søren and Griffin crack me up. "I think I liked you better when I didn't like you" - Søren lol and what in the world is the story of "Diphthong" ??? tell me!

A lot of little life lessons here I swear!

So happy to have more Griffin and Michael. I LOVE them! Warning: This is a companion novel to 'The Angel,' and should be read at least after that novel in the series so as not to spoil any plot points. The Original Sinners 6.3 kicks off with a brand new, never before published novella entitled, 'Michael's Wings.' It also contains six previously published short stories about Griffin and Michael, scenes throughout their life together. My rating is based on the brand-new novella which I absolutely loved and felt contributed to their story and characters.

The timeline of Michael's Wings takes place sometime before, 'The Virgin,' and, 'The Queen,' and focuses on the time in their lives just after Griffin asks Michael to marry him. What Michael does and how he reacts are explored with the help of a visit to the lovely Mistress Nora. Without doubt it is Griffin and Michael who take center stage in this novella but, as always, Nora is also pivotal to the unfolding narrative in a magnificent way.

The Original Sinners is one of my all-time favorite series with characters whom I'm always happy to revisit to garner further insight and development into their story or persona. Griffin and Michael are two supporting characters who I always appreciate glimpses of and an extension of their happy ever after was greatly appreciated. It's part of their relationship history that I wanted to know about and a must read for fans of this series.

If you write it, I will read it – simple math !!! Tiffany Reisz has done it again.

Michael’s Wings is no exception. It’s a collection of previous written novellas with Michael’s Wings as an original new story. So far, I have only completed the first 4 books in the series. After reading this latest installment, I will tell you as a reader you will not feel lost at any time.

“Metal chains, cuffs, collar, leash, harness and d-ring, rope and wedding ring, I don’t care. If there’s even the tiniest way of making you more mine, one more way of owning you, one more way of keeping you tied to me, I want to do it, and I want to do it yesterday.” – Griffin

In this story, Griffin has ask Michael to marry him. Michael is torn between belonging to Griffin and “belonging to Griffin with legal paperwork” I fell in love with Michael in The Angel and have enjoyed the journey he has made with the love and devotion of Griffin. Who is better to provide a dose of reality for Michael than Nora – The Mistress way.

It’s sucks you in from the beginning with the friend we wish we could knock on the door and wait to hear “You may enter.” When Nora makes her presence, she has the ability to make the character and the reader experience butterflies in the belly. I’ve had butterflies since The Siren and each novel and/or novella added to the The Original Sinners series continues to be a masterpiece of pure magic. It’s the perfect feast to devour for all the Original Sinners fetish fiends.

If you are new to the series, have not heard about it, or undecided – grab this novella. It will convince you to become part of the “unHoly Trinity” team. My wish is to convert as many readers to the Tiffany Reisz Experience.

Anybody following my reviews will be well aware that I’m a huge fan of Tiffany Reisz’s books, with the Original Sinner series being my favourite by a mile. And if you forced me to pick favourite characters from the amazing cast in those books, I wouldn’t hesitate for even a heartbeat before naming Griffin and Michael. These two men stole my heart when I first read The Angel (Original Sinners #2) and despite the wide variety of books I’ve read since that day, they remain my favourite MM couple. I could give you about a million reasons why that is the case, but maybe it’s easier if you just read my reviews of the book. Yes that’s plural. Not only did I break the habit of a lifetime and reread the book, I also re-reviewed it. You can find them here and here.

As for this story…. I could rave about it for at least a thousand words, but I won’t. In fact I’m going to keep this review nice and short, if only because I’m sure that anybody who’s read the Original Sinner’s book won’t need me to persuade them to pick up Michael’s Wings. And if you haven’t read the earlier series, you really should do that first, before you pick up this delightful collection.

Michael’s Wings was everything I hoped and expected it to be: touching, sexy, funny, irreverent, engrossing and utterly wonderful. And of course it was also exquisitely well written. I don’t think Tiffany Reisz could write a story about these two men that wouldn’t charm the socks of me. I’d lose myself in a trip to the grocery store with these two. So when the title story brought me (and Michael and Griffin) an even happier climax to their already happy ending, it was like a one way ticket to my own personal version of heaven.

I mean what’s not to love? I got to spent time with Nora, while she helped Michael get his head around the idea of marrying Griffin through some rather unorthodox but very kinky methods. In fact, the only thing better than the Michael and Nora combination was Michael and Griffin together. The gift and answer Michael gives Griffin is perfection, as is Griffin’s reaction to it.

This wouldn’t be an Original Sinner’s story if it didn’t come with plenty of hot and very kinky sexy times. And yet, as always, the story is about so much more. It’s about family, about friends who are as close as family, about being there for each other, and ultimately about recognizing and accepting your future because it is everything.

“If there’s even the tiniest way of making you more mine, one more way of owning you, one more way of keeping you tied to me, I want to do it, and I want to do it yesterday. I know that sounds possessive, but that’ kind of our thing, right? But you're smart, Mick. You know you own me as much or more than I own you. And that's exactly how I want it."

Michael’s Wings takes up about 30% of the book. The rest of it features a selection of earlier short stories featuring Michael and Griffin. If you are a fan, you’ll recognize them because you’ll have read them on Tiffany Reisz’s website. Trust me when I say that reading them again was a pure delight. Having them all together in one volume now may well be the best Christmas present I receive this year.

Long story short: Michael’s Wings is an excellent addition to the Original Sinner’s series and a must read for anybody who’s read and loved those books.

“There’s a lot to be said for getting married. Then again, there’s a lot to be said for climbing Mount Everest, but you don’t see me doing that either.” Wisdom from Nora Sutherlin.

Michael’s Wings is a collection of novellas set in the Original Sinners Collection. Griffin Fiske has asked Michael to marry him. Because he knows Michael, Griffin gives him time to think before he gives his answer. Michael is struggling with his decision, so he visits someone he knows he can talk to, Mistress Nora. Bless Nora, she basically beats some sense into the boy! I am behind on reading the all the books in this series, but I never felt lost.

This book contains multiple short stories that give us some background on the relationship between Griffin and Michael. The writing is exquisite as expected from Tiffany. Sit back and enjoy these stories.

“Tattoos make scars and it doesn’t make sense that putting scars on top of scars can make something this beautiful"

During a lasagna diner Griffin casually popped the question and ordered Michael to think it over before giving him an answer. “Don’t answer me until Sunday because I know you, and I know you’ll need to think about it.”

And Griffin was right, Michael did freaked out and fled to New Orleans to Nora. He needed to think out loud and knew Nora would be there to listen, advice and ground him, and God did she ever
"Nora was always good for that."

To come to a decision Michael really needed to talk about his reservations, his fears, the why-not’s but also the why-yes and his ties with his father.
“Why can’t we cut the cord?”
“Because the cord is made of out of the same stuff our hearts are made of, that’s why it’s red.”

Back at home he goes to work and creates an art piece to tell Griffin what he feels and proceeds to ask Griffin his own question but also wondering why Griffin wants to marry him

“There, right there,” Griffin said. “The way you’re looking at me right now…that look that says you want it, you need it, and you need it from me because nobody else knows you the way I know you…That’s my whole life right there, Mick. You on your knees in front of me with that look on your face. That’s my whole damn life.”

But I was a bit confused about where Griffin popped the question?
Griffin said to him over dinner at their favorite small Italian restaurant
“You just asked me here at home alone

A really sweet story involving these very lovable characters having their HEA.
But also reading about the holy trinity was just the best.
"I can make Søren laugh just by saying the word ‘diphthong"

I loved going back into The Original Sinners world, this time with Michael and Griffin as the featured couple. Michael's Wings takes place after The Angel and highlights some of the more momentous occasions or pivotal points in Michael and Griffin's relationship. What I love about them is how opposite they seem on the outside, but how much they own each other in their hearts. That kind of love and affection is not that different from what Soren, Kingsley and Nora share, even if it's expressed differently. Nora shows up quite a bit, too, and it's always endearing to see how she's so unconditionally supportive of both Michael and Griffin. And as always, dialogue written by Tiffany Reisz never fails to disappoint in its entertainment value, but is also delivered with emotion and punch.

4.5 stars

If you’ve read the Queen from this author’s White Years series, then you already know the outcome of this novella. But that doesn’t make it any less sweet. You see, if you are a diehard Original Sinners fan, you crave any little addition to the series, no matter what the timeline. And this short story will satisfy your craving.

The heart of this novella is Michael’s struggle with how to answer to Griffin’s proposal. To help him, he turns to the woman who gave him confidence he never thought he could possess, Mistress Nora. This book has a bit a kink, a bit of humor, and a bit of seriousness and Michael and Nora discuss the pro’s and con’s on answering ‘yes’. Despite Nora’s personal feelings on marriage, she proves to be the perfect sounding board.

The sweetest parts of this book of course involve Michael and Griffin, one of my favorite M/M couples. There are no doubts about their undying love for one another, and it was so great to see them show how deep that love runs as Michael exposes his wings (this will make sense when you read it). A beautiful addition to this beloved series.

Bonus: this book not only features this new novella, but a handful of other short stories featuring our Sinners, to further feed your craving.

Well didn't this give me the warm and fuzzies....and a little slap on the ass for good measure.

The anthology includes short stories previously published on Tiffany Reisz's website and a new story giving us an extended look into Michael and Griffin's HEA. In the new story, Michael's Wings, we see Griffin pop the question to his beloved Mick, and because he knows his sub, Griffin has given him a few days to think about it.

Torn with indecision, Michael heads to Nora to smack some sense into him....quite literally.

I loved seeing Michael's relationship with Nora. It's as zany and protective as ever. Nora helps Michael weigh he options and look deeper into his feelings in the best way she knows....with a flogger and some wax.

Michael reflects on his life with Griffin and how they've grown. This also shows a more vulnerable side to Griffin...especially his insecurity regarding relapse. That entire scene sprang the waterworks.

The way Tiffany Reisz wrote Michael's Wings felt so very right. Every scene, every thought, every conversation felt so authentic to Griffin and Mick. These two hold a special place in my heart, and I'm so glad the author gave us another glimpse into their lives.

"There, right there. The way you're looking at me right now...that look that says you want it, you need it, and you need it from me because nobody else knows you the way I know you...that's my whole life right there, Mick. You on your knees in front of me with that look on your face. That's my whole dame life."

I don't usually read romance novels, but I heard so many good things about this particular series that I had to check it out. I loved it!

"Michael's Wings" is about Griffin popping the question to Mike who is freaking out about it.

"Griffin in Wonderland" describes Griffin and Kingsley crossing paths for the first time, which was the making of Griffin as we know him.

"Gauze" talks about Michael's accident and how him and Griffin deal with the trauma.

"The Theory of the Moment" describes Griffin and Melissa, Michael's mom meeting and conversation.

"The Couch" talks about the boys first serious argument with some naughty and wise advise from Nora.

"A Better Distraction" is about Griffin trying to let Michael study with mixed results.

Finally, "Christmas in Suite 37A" describes couple reconciling after a long break.

Bottom line, this is a sweet and totally adorable collection of everyday and pivotal moments in Griffin and Michael's life with Nora's subtle coaching in between. Loved it, recommended to all the fans.

That was a quick and enjoyable read from one of my favorite M/M characters. I simply adore Griffin and Michael's evolving love story. Michael's Wings is a great addition to their novella collection. What I also like was the cameo appearance of Mistress Nora with her ever-present wit and advice to her favorite angel.

Overall, it was a good read from one of my favorite erotica writer Tiffany Reisz! I don't think I'll get tired reading anything about The Original Sinners. It's so addicting.
