I was really happy to back in Sterling Canyon. I was even happier that we were going to see an HEA for a man that I really felt sorry for in past books … Andy Randall.
See, I believe in second chances. I also believe that people who make mistakes, own up to their mistakes, take responsibility for the mistakes, really, truly do deserve a second chance. I am thrilled that we are seeing this with Andy because his remorse shines through, not only in Joyfully His but in Accidentally Hers (Sterling Canyon 1) when we first meet him. But, it’s hard in a small town, people remember, people judge and some just can’t let it go. He’s hoping that his past friendship with Nikki and his work ethic at the Ski Lodge is enough to get her to give him his dream job back.
Nikki feels so much guilt for what Andy is going through. If she just put her pride aside, he wouldn’t have had the accident that is causing so much grief in his life. She goes to bat for him because she knows that he deserves it. She also tries to lock down her attraction to him, to no avail.
Looking back, Andy knows that his accident was a mistake but, turning away the sultry and intriguing Nikki was an even bigger one. He knows how confident on the slopes she is but, her confidence in her personal life is at an all-time low. He also knows that starting anything up with her could also jeopardize his job and hers. He can’t help himself when the opportunity presents itself. But, one jealous woman and he knows that he could never be the person he was before the accident in the eyes of the people of Sterling Canyon and it’s killing him that Nikki falls right into that category as well.
I loved how Jamie Beck wrote Joyfully His. She showed hope, pettiness, support and love all wrapped in a beautiful package. In the end, she showed us just what forgiveness and regret means. The story was uplifting and entertaining, fun and flirty. The perfect read for a cold winter night sitting by the fire.
Sweet short story to get you into the holidays.
This is Andy's story. He made a mistake and made up for it.
A story of second chances
This novella was a really nice addition to the Sterling Canyon Series. It features Andy Randall, who in a former book, committed a DUI that injured a pedestrian. Andy is still trying to make amends and get his old job as a ski instructor back, at least temporarily. Nikki Steele, his former boss and friend, would be foolish to get involved with him at this point, but she can't seem to resist him.
Joyfully His is a very short, quick, and easy to read novella. It was nice to see Andy in a better situation than in the previous book where he turned up. I was a little unsure of how I felt about having him as a main character, but realized within just a few pages that I was going to like him. Nikki was a great character, and I enjoyed their story. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing a copy of the book in return for an honest review.
I've read the previous books in this series and really enjoyed them. I love the setting of the small ski town and the characters that inhabit it.
This story was a little different in that we had a male as the MC instead of a woman like the earlier books. Andy was already a good character developed in previous books and it was great to see his story come to a positive conclusion.
3.5 stars
Joyfully His by Jamie Beck is a heartwarming and enjoyable read.
The storyline was entertaining all throughout the book, the writing is well done and the characters were likable, relatable and I loved them together.
I enjoyed watching Andy and Nikki's relationship unfold, they made me smile, they touched my heart with their inner battles and they made me swoon.
Overall, Joyfully His is a sweet and heartwarming holiday read and a great addition to the Sterling Canyon series.
Each book can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend them all.

This was a really wonderful romance! Andy made a huge mistake the night he got a DUI and it changed his life. He needs a second chance at his dream job and Nikki is the only person that can really help him. Very sweet chemistry between these two and a good story! Highly recommend!
This was the 4th book in the series. It was a cute, shorter story.
I've enjoyed the Sterling Canyon series, and while we've had small glimpses at Andy's story, I was really happy to see it developed a little more. Andy and Nikki's relationship goes back years and she's had feelings for him for a while, and he is finally ready to reciprocate. I loved seeing the more sensitive side of Andy. I hated seeing him doubt himself and others doubt him. I really think he could have used a longer story than just a novella!
In a small town your past never gets away from you.
Andy just wants to move on from his conviction and with the help from his friend Nikki he gets a start. Not only a start with a job but with a future as well. Even when jealousy gets in the way they have to fight to win.

I have been waiting for this story since the first book. Beck has done a great job throughout the series making Andy both a likable character but also making sure he paid for the mistake he made and his character wasn't too perfect. It has been enjoyable seeing his character grow through the series that brought him to this story. Having said that, this could easily be read as a stand-alone contemporary romance. Enough backstory is given that it is easy to follow along and Nikki is a completely new character brought into the series. The chemistry between Nikki and Andy is quick to pick-up on and the story doesn't feel rushed even though it is a short read.
A great return to Sterling canyon, I've given it four stars, because I really hoped Andy's story would be a full novel.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, wanting more, yet fulfilled he'd found his proper match.
Continuing in the easy style of Jamie Beck, it's a lovely edition to the series.
I hope there's more coming.
Joyfully His is the fourth book in the Sterling Canyon series. This is a story of redemption and second chances. Andy is still trying to make amends for his past mistake, and now he desperately needs the job as a ski instructor. Nikki agrees to vouch for him, but her reputation is also at stake. Will Andy let them both down, or will they find something worth forever? This story was really good, and I definitely recommend it.
**Received in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley** Absolutely loved this story! I have followed and enjoyed this series from the very beginning. Andy has been a secondary character from the start and I'm so glad he was able to finally get his story! Nikki and Andy were great together, the story really flowed together, previous issues were dealt with nicely. I would recommend this to family and friends as it definitely gets you ready for the holidays. You definitely won't regret reading this story!
I so enjoyed going back to Sterling Canyon and I loved Andy and Nikki's story. Two years after that fateful night that changed his life Andy is trying to put his life back on track. Personally he's made amends to the people he hurt but professionally he's still trying to get back to where he was. People in Sterling have long memories though so getting them to move on isn't as easy as it sounds. Nikki Steele, his former boss and friend, may be the one person who can help. When he's given the opportunity to get his old job back he jumps at it but the new feelings he has for Nikki could be a problem. Will he work for the job or the girl??
A wonderfully done story and I was so glad to get Andy's story. I think you'll enjoy this one whether you've read the prior boos. It's message of forgiveness and new beginnings is perfect for the season. I definitely recommend it.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy from NetGalley for my unbiased opinion of the book. It was a great addition to the series. I really enjoyed this book. I fell in love with Avery and Grey in the first book and continued through to Nikki and Andy. I raced through it as I did with all the others!! I enjoy a good redemption story. It would be great if there is a sixth book with Emma.
A great way to revisit the crew from Sterling Canyon. Remember Andy? He had a DUI and injured his future brother in law, well he still can't catch a break. Small towns never forget. Nikki, a long time friend, is willing to rehire him as a ski instructor. While trying to move on with a new job and new love, Andy comes across some stressful situations that put everything at risk. This was a quick read and a pleasure to get back to the ski town with the group of friends we know and love. My review was written voluntarily after reading an early copy from Netgalley.
I have never read any of the books in this series, so I wasn't familiar with the backgrounds of the characters, but you really didn't need to be. It was a very enjoyable book, that was perfect as a standalone.
Andy Randall just finished his 2 years of being on probation after being involved in a DUI. He was behind the wheel drunk, hit his now brother in law, who ended up meeting Andy's sister who's a PT and marrying her. Living in a small town, gossip spreads like a wild fire, and everybody judges him for no reason at all. When he starts job hunting again, no one will give a felon a chance. Only his friend, Emma, will give him a job as a handyman at her B&B. When Andy sees his old ski instructor friend at a wedding, he mustered up his courage and asked if she can help him with a job.
Nikki Steele has never forgiven herself for leaving the bar the night Andy was in that accident. They were flirting big time and she made a pass on him, but he knew she was too drunk and he didn't want to take advantage of her. So he politely turned her down, hoping that she wouldn't remember what happened. Nikki was humiliated, in turn she watched him hit in other women. When she left, she knew how drunk he was but she was also embarrassed so she left, not thinking about the consequences of her actions.
Nikki pleaded Andy's case to her boss, begging him to give Andy a chance,. So he did, with 3 stipulations and only on a probationary period. Andy finally gives in to his feelings for Nikki and kisses her. She had no clue he liked her. They start a relationship, but keep it a secret from the staff. They are already thinking that she's favoring him as it is.
When Andy gets a request from a former student who was more than a "student," Nikki's jealousy and insecurities come out full fledged. The student is older than her, richer than her, and more beautiful than she is, how can she compete?
But when things turn ugly, and allegations are made against Andy, Nikki doesn't defend him because she has doubts about his character. Things go sour for the couple and Andy gives up and walks away from her. How can the couple overcome this obstacle?
A must read!!
Joyfully His is a very well written romance all about second chances.
A story of redemption & second chances. Andy made a mistake & paid dearly for it. After too much to drink, he got behind the wheel & ended up hurting someone. After serving probation, he's now ready to get on with his life.
She'd been attracted to him for some time but she was his boss & didn't want to ruin the relationship. She also felt guilty because she felt she should have intervened the night of his accident & taken his keys. Instead she ran & hid with hurt feelings because he didn't acknowledge "the kiss". Can they get past this?
A good story with well developed likable characters on a journey to a new life, this was a quick enjoyable read. The author managed to bring to life Andy's feelings of being under a microscope & how he dealt with it.
Two years after a DUI which injured a friend, Andy is trying to get his life in order. He approaches Nikki about getting his old job as a ski instruction back and after some negotiations and being on probation he succeeds. Somewhere along the line Nikki and Andy develop feelings for one another and their relationship progresses, but not without problems.
This book is part of the Sterling Canyon series, but can be read as a standalone. I have read many books by Jaime Beck and this one does not disappoint. It was a great read.
