5 PERFECTION STARS!! Here we go again, Samantha Chase has written that perfect book that touches you in everyway. Dylan and Paige's story is beautifully written and the characters start to become part of your family, you feel all their emotions. This author's writing is flawless and always puts her heart in every story. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Dylan begins the book in a fresh state of mind. He is coming out of rehab recognizing his triggers and actively seeking to change his lifestyle. He will still be a rock star but music will be the center again, not the fame. An invitation to join a literacy campaign tour will help give back while making his new changes permanent.

Paige is heading up the campaign while being actively sabotaged. She is a doormat to her sister. Paige has an overwhelming need to please their father and never stands up for herself. They all work in the same PR office where Paige does the work, her sister gets the credit, and the father makes money. I have a very low tolerance for weak heroines but was pleased to see it was centered on family interactions.

Dylan will become the only positive thing her sister has ever done. Ever.

One More Promise by Samantha Chase is the second book in the Band on the Run Series. I already met Dylan in book one, One More Kiss - Matt´s story - and I couldn´t wait to read his story.

Paige Walters is ecstatic. She has a new job at a PR firm in Los Angeles. Finally she can prove she fits in with her family´s business. Paige is a good woman, her style is a bit unique and she´s plagued with her better than you sister, but she loves her family.
Dylan Anders is fresh from rehab and is ordered to work ta a community center. The same community center Paige volunteers for.
They work close and they come close and closer.

One More Promise is a beautiful love story with great characters and I had much fun reading this book. They had to master a lot of obstacles to get their HEA and let me tell you, it´s a well deserved one.

This one was hard for me to get in to, it took me longer to read then most do. I loved the idea behind it all, it just seemed slow moving. It didn't hold my interest like normal. My interest was finally really grabbed at Chapter 9 and I couldn't put it down after that. I DO recommend this book, especially if you have read the books up until now (Shaughnessy Series and One More Kiss).

One More Promise(Band On The Run book 2) by Samantha Chase

Wow! Samantha Chase really knows how to create a story. I often feel this twinge of magic when I sit down to read one of her books. She has a real way with words that draws you in from the first page. You feel a connection with the characters immediately.

In One More Promise you get Dylan Anders and Paige Walters story. Dylan is looking to change his life after a stint in rehab and a car accident. Paige is looking to finally prove herself to her dad. The instant they come together you can feel the chemistry they have. They both have things to prove. Paige doesn't know who Dylan is and he likes that. She treats him like he's just an average everyday Joe. Dylan and Paige's story is an unforgettable and undeniable love story.

What draws me to this story is what it really is about and I do not mean the story line. One More Promise is about a sense of belonging and finding yourself. It is a sense of belonging and overcoming the struggles you have. What makes One More Promise a unique read is that it is not just a romance but it is also about ones struggles for acceptance. It's about a rock star trying to make his way back after a horrible accident and addiction. One More Promise is a great romance full of heart swoon worthy moments. I found my heart swooning and I laughed. I even got mad and wanted to shake Paige's Dad and sister. I mean they really made me mad. One More Promise is a beautiful story. Perfectly written by a fabulous author. Samantha Chase is one of the best author's I have ever come across. I definitely recommend you get this book. I have read this book in one sitting because It was to good to find a stopping point. I am now re reading it a second time because it's just that good. One of the best ever.

Amazing. This is a book that I could not put down. Paige and Dylan both have obstacles that they need to overcome in their personal lives. Paige works for family PR firm but is always in the shadows,, but now has been assigned to help with the literacy campaign. Which she takes to heart, wanting famous authors to speak not musicians. Dylan a member of the Band on the Run, who is on a hiatus from after getting out of rehab for alcoholism. He has to serve community service, so this would be a perfect opportunity for him. Neither Paige or Dylan are happy with this journey, but Dylan will make the best of it. As they spend time together, they find they have more in common than they thought. In reality they seem like polar opposites.

Loved both of these characters, both grew from each other. So much is thrown at them but they learn to stand up for each other. Great secondary characters. Loved Daisy, Paige's assistant, she makes me smile. Now on the other hand, Paige's sister, Ariel, I'd liked to take her into a dark corner and slap her around. It was great to see the other members of the band. Such great support for Dylan.

This is not your typical rock star story. This is re-finding your life after the band and finding love when you least expect. This is the second story in the series but can be read as a stand alone.

This is one of those books where I just felt the connection between the hero and heroine immediately. As I continued to read I got to see them build upon that connection which endured me to their story completely.

Dylan had just the right amount of bad boy in him to give him depth but not so much that I was struggling to get past his rough edges. After a stint in rehab he’s trying to get his life together, but it’s hard when he feels like everyone around him is passing judgment and writing him off.

Paige is a confident, hard-working woman who knows who she is and isn’t afraid to go for it. That is until she gets around her father and her sister, who always manage to make her feel less than worthy. Her passion is the literacy campaign and making it go as smoothly as possible. When she forced to babysit Dylan when he agrees to be a part of it, she passes judgement on him just like everyone else.

Despite her judgements, the underlying attraction and chemistry between them is difficult to fight. Soon they find themselves letting down their defenses and falling in love. That’s when an accident, her family and his history collide in one awful night and everything they thought they knew about themselves and each other is put to the test.

I was thoroughly annoyed at a majority of the characters in this story at one point or another but the one constant was the supportive relationship between Dylan and his band-mates and their significant others. I loved watching them come together with advice and really showing up when Dylan needed them the most.

Overall, I just really enjoyed everything about this story, even when I was annoyed with some of the characters. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series.

What a charming, warm, sexy gem of a story. I couldn’t put “One More Promise” down. I love a good romance and this delivered. Samantha Chase’ strength is creating characters who live, breathe and jump off the page at you. The mix of sexual tension and emotional decisions will lead to you wanting to read her stories again and again.
Dylan Anders is a charming, bad, boy rocker, who’s sexy as sin with a horrible reputation. Just released from rehab, Dylan is determined to change his ways. But first he must find something productive and meaningful that can help turn his reputation around. When his agent tells him about a campaign promoting Literacy, he is at first hesitant to let the public know of his past. But since this would also take care of his required community service hours it could be just what he needs.
Paige Walters is an executive at her Father’s PR firm PRW. She is a smart confident young woman, until she is around her family. Paige suffers from life long insecurities from constantly being undermined by a beautiful, older sister. But when Paige comes up with the brilliant idea for the Literary Campaign she just knows this will finally get her the attention she deserves. Only to have the campaign taken out from under her by her sister again and assigned to babysit Dylan through the campaign. And oh boy, does our smart, fierce heroine give him a run for his money. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.
This had me practically drooling with anticipation from one page to the next. These characters are fabulously crafted and gloriously complicated. But with light witty humor and sexual tension that adds sizzle to many scenes this is a such a satisfying and captivating storyline. With a wonderful heroine. A llckable hero. And a romance that makes a girl swoon. Loved it!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

One More Promise by Samantha Chase was my first book by this author. This rock-star romance can be read as a standalone (like I read it) but always better to be read with the other books.

Paige Walters is an uptight workaholic who wanted only authors on the Literacy Now campaign. Dylan Anders is a reformed bad boy rocker who has been asked to work on a literacy campaign. Dylan would never be Paige’s first choice for this campaign but in life who knows?

Paige and Dylan are total opposites that work better together than apart. They did have a slow burn but you were entertained till these two figured things out. Every character in this book was very likable expect Ariel Paige’s sister - this girl needed to be kicked down a few pegs.

And who doesn’t love a dirty talking rock-star with STEAMY scenes!!

Looking forward to reading One More Moment – till then I going to catch-up on Samantha Chase’s other books.

One More Promise is a perfect chance at redemption. One too many bad decisions for Dylan and not enough "No"s coming from Paige make both of them looking for more...

He's looking to become more than his past.
She's hoping to be seen as more.

Judgemental first impressions and getting off on the wrong foot, leave them at odds. But when you are in constant, close contact it's hard to ignore all the...lust. Or feelings. It's hard to ignore that you want more...

This sweet story will have you smiling and plotting to hang out with the band. Before you go all fan-girl, remember not all of them are single...

Paige Walters works for her family's PR firm. And she's very good at her job. Always picking up the slack for her lazy sister, who in return gets all the credit. Paige tends to just sit back and be walked, she's very meek and timid, afraid to rock the boat so to speak. That is until she meets rock star bass guitarist Dylan Anders.

Dylan of course is famous for his partying reputation, as well as being the bass guitarist for a famous rock band, and a manwhore. But he's just finished with rehab and wants a fresh start.

When Paige meets Dylan for the Literacy Now campaign, sparks fly between them. Not always in a good way. These two at times I wanted to smack them upside the head. They both suck at communicating. But as they spend time together, a friendship grows. And this is when you notice Paige starting to grow a backbone.

I ADORED the characters, the storyline. This isn't your run of the mill rock star romance. Samantha Chase gives us a slow burning romance that I really enjoyed.

I highly recommend this book to everyone.

4 1/2 Stars ... another sweet emotional romance!

Dylan has been living the rock star life to the fullest for the past few years, but after a car accident he found himself in rehab for 3 months. With the band on hiatus, he needs a project to keep his mind from wondering to places he doesn't want to go. So when an offer to help with a literacy campaign comes his way, he decides to go for it. Paige has been working for the family PR company for years and she still doesn't get the recognition she deserves. So when the Literacy Now organization (a project close to her heart) comes to her company, she wants to lead the campaign. When she meets Dylan, she doesn't know how a bad boy, tattooed rock star can help ... until she spends time with him and finds out that he is nothing like he has been portrayed in the media.

This is a sweet, funny, sexy romance! I couldn't stop myself for cheering for Dylan and Paige to try and make a go of it, even though they are clearly from different worlds. As for Paige's sister and dad ... well I just wanted to slap them! That's the sign of a great book when you become emotionally invested in the story. I can't wait for the next book. I highly recommend not only this book, but the first book as well. If you're looking for a feel good story ... then this is it!

Loved Paige and Dylan’s story. I really liked the relationship seem to develop at a normal and natural pace, not right into I Love Yous. I also really like that this series isn’t your typical rock-star series, the music and band part is very much background but because the are a band there’s a sense of family that I love. Can’t wait for Julian’s story, I’m even more intrigued by him now!

Paige Walters loves PR, marketing and promoting. She works in her father’s PR firm along with her sister. She allows her dad and sister to walk all over her. Needless to say, she has self-esteem issues. She is frustrated and beginning to hate what she loves. She has put her heart and soul into her job at the cost of a personal life.

Dylan Anders is a bass guitarist for a famous rock band. He has a reputation as a manwhore and alcoholic only concerned with looking for his next good time. He has just finished a 3 month rehab stint after crashing his vehicle while under the influence. Community service is also part of his sentencing. Dylan has realized he’s hit bottom and wants to turn his life around.

Paige’s passion is for the Literacy Now campaign, raising funds for library services and access to them. She has worked to get multiple authors to join her when her dad takes the campaign away from her and gives it to her sister. Her sister decides they need more famous people to lead it. Enter Dylan.

When Paige meets Dylan she sees a heavily tattooed trouble maker and not at all what she envisioned for her campaign. Dylan recognizes he’s got an uphill battle to convince her to take a chance on him.

Once Dylan and Paige started spending time together, she begins to see the nice guy beneath the tatts and reputation. They become friends. Dylan was focused on getting his life together and didn’t want to drag Paige into his crazy world of no privacy and people watching his every move waiting for him to fail. Paige decides she’s going for it and Dylan doesn’t stand a chance.

I liked that Paige is short and curvy, not the usual glamorous model type heroine. She isn’t afraid to eat or admit she has a sweet tooth. She has her own style and doesn’t dress like everyone else .I enjoyed watching her finally grow a backbone and stand up for herself.

I loved Daisy, Paige’s assistant. She was Paige’s biggest supporter and friend. She is quirky, funny and hard working.

Ariel, Paige’s sister, is a tool. She’s mean, snarky, ignorant and takes every opportunity to cut Paige down privately and publicly make her look bad in front of everyone. Her dad is also a jerk, never recognizing her sister’s duplicity or Paige’s abilities. His actions near the end made me want to knock him out.

I loved the phrase “Inhale the future, exhale the past.”

This can easily be read as a standalone even though people from other books/series make an appearance.

I'm definitely not a big fan of rockstar romances. They just don't do it for me so these kinds of books are hard for me to get into. No matter the author. So while I give this a 3 star it's not because it's terrible, it just isnt my thing.

Dylan is just out of his three month stay in rehab and trying to make amends. He wants to change and be someone better, someone he can be proud of. He has to do community service which lands him in a literacy campaign and in Paige's life.

Paige is pretty much a plain Jane. She works in the family PR firm and doesn't have much in the way of a social life. She wanted to start this campaign with authors in mind but that's not how it turned out. It ended up with a rockstar.

While working together the fall for each other which can be seen from a mile away. With the two being so different you'd think it wouldn't work but it does for them. Dylan isn't what I expected but that can sometimes be a good thing. Like now.

I enjoyed the writing style but I just can't look past the musician part. Which is weird because I've played instruments myself and love music. I'm just snobby about this topic I suppose.

Favorite Quotes:

Leave it to his parents to think all he needed to get started on this new life was a new suitcase.

Ariel didn’t smile. She rarely did. She thought it caused wrinkles.

She wasn’t even his usual type, but it turned out his usual type wasn’t particularly good for him.

A man knew when to pay attention, and Dylan learned early on that food was to Paige what flowers were to some women.

My Review:

This was a relatively light and easy to follow story with a slowly developing romance between Dylan, a newly rehabbed and tattooed bad boy rock-star with his reputation in tatters; and Paige, the mousy, uptight, and generally overlooked yet anxious to please PR executive who was assigned to be his handler. Paige worked in her father’s firm and her family was rather vile, yet they provided most of the comic relief.

If you have ever read a romance novel at any time in your life then, of course, you already know the outcome, yet the story was entertaining with a few delightfully naughty bits, and the characters were sweet and endearingly flawed. Although, I was slow to fully warm up to Paige as she was initially rudely judgmental and inflexible. I did not expect the former hard-partying man-ho rock-star to be the most level-headed, considerate, and thoughtful character in the book, but I adored the sweet and sexy Dylan.

Most girls/women have had a rock-star or famous actor fantasy or two - um thousand, yes, I will fess up… I’ll own it and wave my hands in the air like I do not care. While I don’t read rocker romances often, there are times I need something lighter in tone to break up the tedium or alleviate the residual heaviness from over-servings of angst or brain scrambling thrillers, and this sexy bad boy with a bad rep for fast living and hard partying came at a good time. And well, it’s from Samantha Chase, nuff said.

Loved this book! Dylan and Paige are fantastic characters and they just seemed to bring out the best in each other. This is the second book in the Band on the Run series but it is easily read standalone. The writing is excellent and the story is fun and nicely paced.

While the band's on hiatus Dylan is working hard to get himself together. Fresh out of rehab he's looking for something to keep him busy as well as complete his required community service hours. That's where Paige Walters comes in although she's not happy about it. Her sister has turned Paige's literacy campaign into a circus in Paige's opinion but with no other choice she has to go along with it. She tries to make the best of it. Spending time with Dylan is no hardship but as their attraction grows she worries how she'll ever say goodbye.

I highly recommend this one.

One More Promise is a fun romance that hits lots of great notes. Sexy musicians are always welcome, and Dylan is a perfectly flawed male lead who comes across very genuinely, and Paige is a smart, tough woman who doesn't immediately fall for his musician charms. The tie in with a literacy based charity was a great touch for book loving readers. The story is fast paced and while it's a fairly traditional romance, it's entertaining and well done. It's not necessary to have read book 1 to enjoy this book (I haven't, though book 1 is sitting on my shelves).

I’ve always had a soft spot for impeccably dressed CEO’s and bad boys with tattoos. Dylan Anders does not disappoint on the latter. One of the things I found most enjoyable about One More Promise is the total role reversal.

Dylan is the perfect bad boy but he screwed up and after a three-month stint in rehab he is out and trying to find his way. His confidence has been shaken to the core and he is working to replace the bad boy image with one of positivity. He joins a literacy campaign as part of his community service and this is when Paige enters his life.

Paige has a pretty boring existence. She works in the family PR firm where she is taken advantage of and underappreciated. She has a small condo, is active in a book club, and has a limited social life. The literacy campaign is her idea – she wants to use authors but her sister Ariel changes everything thus why a scruffy, tattooed rock star is now involved.

I believe opposites attract and that is exactly what Dylan and Paige are. But they make it work. Paige comes out of her shell when she is with Dylan and becomes a fiery risk-taker. Dylan tries so hard to be a gentleman and stay purely professional but when Paige sets her mind to something, it happens! Dylan and Paige burn up the pages – they are hot, sweet, and completely adorable. When Dylan confronted Paige's father and called Ariel out for dropping the ball…all was right with the world!
