I love this spin-off series to the Shaugnessy brothers. Dylan is a beautifully flawed man who you can't help but love. Paige is kind of adorkable, and you feel so bad for how she has to put up with a sister who wants to be the center of attention. The chemistry between the two main characters makes the pages fly. Can't wait for more from this series.

One More Promise by Samantha Chase is a promising romance. Samantha Chase has cleverly created an atmosphere that appeals to all appeal people of different backgrounds. Whether one comes a conservative or rich family, the characters are nothing like their parents. They mess up a lot. But those mistakes make them who they are in the end...it was emotionally charged.
Here, I got to meet a sexy as hell rockstar who just got out of rehab. He drank so much he got into an accident. No one died. Yet, Dylan feels so guilty. Then, there's a deep secret about his life that shocked me completely. With him coming from a good family, I just couldn't believe it...but it felt believable. I can see how he got away with it for so long. And despite his issue with that secret, he still became a successful hero aka man. One that everyone could be proud of...
Paige Walters comes from a wealthy conservative family. She's got the boho librarian style down right. Her passion about reading made me love her. Plus, she has a heart of gold. Works hard, goes all out to help others, and is an intense woman. She takes her job seriously...and her family doesn't. Her dad underestimates her. He lets her do all the hard work then steals the spotlight from her. Yet, he never acknowledges her hard work. Then, there's her sister who always steals her spotlight and takes over her projects after all the hard work has been done. Her sister is lazy and a complete bitch. She's nothing but selfish and a liar. Whereas Paige is nothing like her older sister. Paige is easy to understand and love. She's the hero.
One More Promise made me swoon all the way until the last page. Even when I finished reading it, I still awed over the characters. Their lives became messy and complicated. But they both survived their struggles and learned a lot along the way. Enticing, sexy as hell, and sweet too. Samantha Chase has successfully hooked me into her new world of fiction, easily. Overall, this is a must read for all romance readers.

I received a free ARC of One More Promise from Netgalley for my honest review. I have been looking forward to this book for awhile now. Once I started reading I couldn’t stop. This is the story of Dylan Anders and Paige Walters. Dylan needs to make amends to friends, family and to Paige as well. Paige needs to forgive her father sister and Dylan.
Paige is so excited that she is in charge of recruiting musicians for her Literacy Campaign that she is in charge of. She wants a chance to prove to her family and everyone that she has what it takes to do it. Dylan is a musician and is interested in being involved with her Literacy Campaign. Paige will do everything in her power to not let Dylan screw up her plans
It’s great to see Dylan and Paige fight through the problems they each have going on in their lives and loved watching their relationship grow. I really think you will like this story it is a great quick read. I loved it. I give it 5 stars and definitely will be rereading many times in the future and can’t wait to read the next one in the series. It’s also good to catch up with some characters from other books. Please if you are looking for a book to read give this book a chance and the author they are both great! I read it in one day and am counting down the days for the next one!

A fairly good romance of uptight Paige and rocker bad boy Dylan. I liked the characters for the most part, and the issues with her family were interesting to follow. A bit shaky in their romance though, and a lot of doubts kinda got a bit tiresome. Other than that though I enjoyed the book and writing, and highly recommend this story and author.

One More Promise is book 2 in the Band on the Run series but can be read as a stand alone. The series is about a rock band called Shaughnessy that has reached stardom & each member wanted to take some time off for different reasons. This book is Dylan Anders' story. Dylan needed the time off to go to rehab. He started acting out as a teenager to try & get a reaction out of his parents. They were never critical of him or set limits & he wanted an indication that they cared. After having an accident when he was drunk, he realized he had to stop, paid attention in rehab & finally talked to his parents about their part in things. Now, he has a horrible reputation, a lot of time on his hands, & community service to finish.
Paige Waters works for her family's PR firm. She's the opposite of Dylan. She never does anything wrong & works hard to gain her father's acceptance. She follows up on every project & completes tasks that aren't her responsibility thinking her father might see. Instead, her sister, Ariel, swoops in & takes over at the end so that she gets the praise. She's dreamed up a publicity event for a literacy client & is sure that her dad will finally see that she's good at her job. And then it happens, Ariel decided Paige's idea was boring so now, instead of the authors Paige was envisioning, she's stuck babysitting a muscle bound, tattooed rock star.
Once again, Ms. Chase has taken a character that inspires awe & admiration & gives him characteristics & emotions that bring him down to earth so the reader can relate. Paige & Dylan both are damaged from their interactions with their family, react in different ways & need to find the strength & courage to break the pattern. I could have smacked Ariel with the way she continually tried to undermine Paige & make her look bad. The author managed to make the point that a bad reputation can follow you no matter what you do to change it. Paige & Dylan struck sparks off each other right from the beginning & it was fun reading about them trying to resist it. Their interactions make you laugh, smile, cry &, at times, made me mad! This was another wonderfully emotional story from a very talented author.

Bass player Dylan Anders has a long way to go and a lot to prove after his history of drinking and partying leads to his downfall. One way to redeem himself is by doing community service with a literacy program that is organized by Paige Walters. This program means a lot to Paige. So when she finds herself working with a fallen rock star she is not happy.
Dylan and Paige both have issues to work through it they want a chance at happiness.

One More Promise was an amazing read. I loved Dylan and Paige, they were just awesome together. Dylan was sweet, sexy and I loved how vulnerable and real he was. He didn't hide anything. Paige was sweet, smart, and very independent. She struggled with family issues and when the time counted she finally stood up for herself. These two together helped each other overcome their struggles and were just made for each other. When an accident happens will they come through together or will outside interference keep them apart? I loved this book and wish I could give it more than five stars.

The Shaughnessy group is back together again, but this time Dylan gets his story. Paige Walters is the unappreciated member of her family and in turn the family business. When she creates a literacy program her sister sabotages it. When Dylan is released from rehab, he needs to be busy and decides to help with the literacy program, if he can get Paige on board. They take awhile to work things out, but the wait is well worth it. I wanted Paige to grow into her character, and she does all of that and more! Dylan has more than met his match and even though their road is rocky, it will keep you turning the pages rapidly until the end!

Samantha Chase is an expert at dreaming up larger than life characters that are hard to resist and even harder to walk away from. Her greatest asset is her ability to humanize those large personalities into people we as readers can relate to. That has never been more evident, than within the pages of One More Promise. Dylan is a man with a ton of baggage and a persona that overshadows his remorseful attitude. Paige is a woman, with a bit of a chip on her shoulder and a lot to prove. One More Promise is a tale of forgiveness that borders on regret and spirals into an unforgettable love story. Second chances aren't given, they're earned.

This is a story of two entirely different personalities. Dylan Anders is a musician in Shaughnessey, a rock band, and is just coming off a 3-month rehab stint. Paige Walters has been working for her father's PR firm, and has been excitedly working on a literacy campaign , figuring that now she'd finally receive the accolades from her father and co-workers for a job well done. Paige's campaign is totally sabotaged by her older sister who decides there should be a rock concert since Dylan is already involved in the campaign as part of his community service requirement. She is determined not to like the tattooed artist, he dislikes the straight and narrow PR person who has to babysit him. They both overcome their instant dislike of one another and learn how to work together, Paige learning how to stand up for herself and not let her sister and father run roughshod over her and her (much better) ideas, Dylan learning how to believe in himself and realize that he is stronger than his past actions show.

This might be my favorite of the Band on the Run series so far. I knew I would love Dylan’s story. There was just something about him that screamed for love and forgiveness. And boy does he need forgiveness. He messed up and he knows it and to get back into the good graces of everybody he needs to do some good. Paige does everything for her family business but rarely gets any of the credit. Dylan and Paige get drawn together when her sister makes some changes to a campaign that Paige has been working on. It is not love at first sight at all! But these two learn that they might just be able to help each other, become friends and maybe more.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book provided by NetGalley.

Dylan and Paige had me feeling all the feels. I smiles, laughed, cried a little, got angry on their behalf...just everything! Both characters were so well developed and I felt like I was falling in love right along with them! I can't wait for more of this series!

Rock star, Dylan, hits rock bottom when a DUI accident shows him just how far out of control he has spiraled. Paige, lost her best friend several years ago when a drunk driver collided with her car. Dylan, represents everything that Paige has come to loathe. Only, he isn't your typical anything, and while he may have been the wild rock star, he isn't any longer. Their relationship endures its share of misunderstandings, missteps and interference, but sometimes surviving such things is how you can identify what will be an enduring love. There’s hotness, haters and a HEA, Really, One More Promise has it all.
I received an ARC of this book, from the publisher, via NetGalley, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This was a lot of fun as a PR worker, Paige Walters, works to craft a campaign on literacy. Through her sister’s interference, she ends up with a rocker, Dylan Anders, who has just gotten out of rehab for alcoholism and needs to do some community service.
Both of them have their own insecurities that they have to work with. Paige has to deal with how her sister always upstages her and denigrates her work and how her father, who owns the PR agency she’s working at, goes along with the older sister. You just want to smack the older sister and will wish that Paige will toughen up and give it back to her family. We’re told that she’s very competent and quite sexy and good-looking but she has such low self esteem that she just doesn’t believe it.
Meanwhile, Dylan is convinced that he is unworthy of love, but he’s still very attracted to Paige. We know that it will all work, but it was fun going along for the ride. It’s not your standard rocker romance and perhaps a lot better since we’re meeting Dylan after his alcoholic, promiscuous stage. We meet him after that so we get to see him straight off as a good guy who is trying to do his best to stay sober, help with the literacy campaign, and romance Paige.
This is part of a series and I’ve read most of the earlier ones but just don’t remember them. So it isn’t a problem if you haven’t read the earlier books.
I was given a free ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book started out quite slow, but by the end I was engrossed in the characters and plot. This story is about a PR firm who is hosting a literacy fundraiser with the lead of the project being Paige. Paige is all about having a bunch of authors attending, but when her sister goes behind her back and reaches out to musicians Paige is furious at first. That is until she meets Dylan who had his own struggles with reading. Paige is tasked with being a "babysitter" to Dylan who had past addiction issues and is seen as a liability to the literacy campaign. The two develop feelings for one another over the months they prepare for the fundraiser.
This is a good book. It is part of a series, however, can be read as a standalone. I have read many books by this author and although I felt the beginning of the book lacking, it was overall a good read.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s very well written and has such a amazing storyline that hooks you in and has you totally falling in love with the main characters and the secondary ones too. The romance is just perfect, Samantha chase has got it spot on and there is nothing I would change or what to change with this story. I would highly recommend this book to everyone it’s such a great book.

Paige is a smart and confident young woman except around her family. Dylan is a musician trying to move past addiction issues. They both hold a special place in their heart for reading and start working together on a literacy campaign. Paige is a fixer. In many cases does not see herself in positive light. Dylan is trying to get her to believe in herself. Dylan is man with a kind heart but has many demons he is trying to overcome. Paige is the first person to believe in him. I feel like Paige and Dylan are two pieces of puzzle that fit together perfectly. Paige and Dylan need each other to move forward in their lives. This is a romance about two people who complete each other in the best possible way .

Received an ARC at no cost to author on behalf of netgalley. We meet Dylan who has recently come out of rehab and trying to get back into the real world. He meets Paige who is with the PR company in charge of a charity he is involved in. Two very different people, she is a quiet girl who likes to read, and he is a rockstar, enough said. They both have misconceptions of each other, and now they are getting to know each other and so many things were just wrong..An enjoyable read.

Not my favorite Samantha Chase by a long shot but not every book can be.
