Statrted out slowly but it built into a rich and deep story that was wonderful.
The reality of recovery from addiction was well portrayed. The difficulty of being the less favored family member was also very well done. I loved this book.

I have enjoyed this series that came out from the Shaughnessy brothers. In this novel its the bassist Dylan who is just coming out from rehab after ninety days. He is trying to adapt to being back in the real world. His manger Mick tells him about a PR company that is hosting Musicians to a charity called Literacy now. He goes to meet the woman whose involve in charge of this thinking its an elderly only to find the curvaceous young woman named Paige. This could be seen as opposite attract. Paige is book lover by the book kind of girl have great work ethic and all. Dylan is overcoming being an addict and is a rock star. They both find out what they thought about each wasn't true and eventually become friends to lovers. I look forward to the next in the series Julian. Reviews are on Goodreads and amazon.com

I am always so sad when I get to the end of one of the Shaughnessy, books. The wait until the next one coming out is so hard.
One More Chance, shows Dylan the bass guitarist for Shaughnessy, trying to move on in his life after rehab. He struggles with everyone making assumptions about him throughout the book. Paige is one of them in the beginning, until she gets to know him. He's more than a Rock God and man up for a good time anytime.
Paige struggles with her place in her family and the family business. Which almost ruins the rocky relationship that Dylan and Paige have.

Cute romance between a rock star with a drinking problem and a uptight executive.

Released from rehab and needing to complete community service hours, Dylan Anders, finds himself working with Paige Walters and her literacy PSAs and fundraisers. Their relationship starts off rocky but the longer they work together the closer they become. The sparks fly and the chemistry ignites a passion that neither of them were prepared for. But will her family put on the brakes and push Dylan to walk away or will Paige take a step away from her family and let love lead the way. With fabulous characters and a storyline that took a taboo subject line of alcoholism and rehabilitation and made it honest and real makes this a story that should not be missed. Once again, Samantha Chase does not disappoint.

What I liked:
The writing style
The characters
Part of a series: The Shaughnessy Brothers: Band on the Run
Standalone
HEA
I look forward to reading more from Samantha Chase.

This has to be one of my favorite Samantha Chase books of all time! Dylan was the ultimate reformed bad boy, and when he met Paige, the professional good girl? Sparks fly! I loved their story of finding themselves, individually and as a couple. I was engrossed in this story from the beginning and read it all in one day. These rockers are so much fun and I cannot wait until we finally get Julian's story...

I was disappointed with this book. I usually enjoy Samantha Chase's books, especially the Shaugnessy series, but I found myself disliking both the hero and heroine in One More Promise. I thought Paige came across as weak and I thought Dylan needed to stop blaming his parents for everything. I felt the chemistry between the two was lacking. Overall, not what I expected. I received an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Samantha Chase writes a great story in extending the Shaughnessy Series through Riley’s band Shaughnessy. This book centers around Dylan who is just getting out of rehab for alcoholism. We had a tease of his issues in Riley’s book while Riley and Savannah were working out their issues. Now, Dylan is doing his community service through a literacy campaign. Literacy is, actually, an issue close to his heart due to his own struggles learning to read. So, he is determined to become a part of the Literacy Now campaign even though Paige, the PR person behind the campaign, does not quite trust him or his motives.
Paige has some difficult issues of her own. She is the sort of person who does the work while spoiled sister gets the recognition. She is kind of a PR wallflower in that she allows her dad and sister to run all over her giving her the work knowing it will get done, but her sister is really just a PR thief and a liar. Her sister cannot even come up with new ideas. She just steals Paige’s. Then, in the midst of all of this her sister announces she is pregnant giving her more reason to run over Paige. And, excuses to leave meetings and miss deadlines.
Ms. Chase let’s Paige and Dylan get to know each other slowly over the course of their working together for the Literacy Now campaign. It is not hot and heavy but a slow simmer in a really great way. Due to an accusation against Dylan, Paige’s dad uses their connection to keep Dylan out of hot water. Yes, Dylan disappoints Paige during a pivotal time in their relationship – it would not be a good book if he hadn’t. We need a little controversy. But, as they move along, it only gets worse.
This is a great book to read to learn more about the band members and stay in contact with previous characters. You can read it as a standalone, but I would pick up the previous books if possible. You will never be disappointed in a Samantha Chase book.

This was an enjoyable romance but I felt it moved too slowly. I like things at a faster pace, and this story was heavy on the slow burn. At first I really didn't even feel the attraction between Dylan and Paige.
Both D and P have major problems. D is fresh out of rehab after driving drunk, no one died but he was sentenced to rehab and 3 months of community service. The charity he picks is Literacy Now, and Paige is running the campaign for her families PR firm.
P has problems too. Her sister is always stealing her gigs and the new campaign for Literacy Now is one she just stole again. So now her sister runs the campaign while makes her in charge of making D stays sober and doesn't do anything to ruin his image.
It was a well written story but for me I did not feel the heat of attraction. Both characters were fun and I liked them, though Paige kinda rolled over for her sister Ariel and so I had a tough time loving her. D on the other hand struggles to stay sober and stay away from bad influences and I really liked him a lot.

Love the Band on the Run Series. After falling hard for Matt in One More Kiss and getting tid bits about Dylan's situation I was eager to read his story in One More Promise. The bonus is we get Paige Walters in the deal who has her own personal story that drawls you in just as much as Dylan's struggles.
Dylan is fresh from rehab and plans to work his community service off by promoting a literacy campaign spearheaded by Paige- well actually her family's firm as she has once again had her ideas taken from her by her sister and she is now playing second fiddle yet running the show behind the scenes.
Dylan and Paige are forced to work very closely on the campaign and in doing so open up to one another not only on an emotional level but a hot sexy one as well. I loved the great support system they become to one another as they each deal with their own sort of issues. While we get a chance to adore Shaughnessy gang on Dylan's side, Paige's family gives us the drama and anger to balance out the story. When Paige's father pulls a dirty trick with his threats I wanted to reach through the book and smack the smug bastard. The awesome character Daisy makes the triumph over the bad even more entertaining and the office scene at the end was great.
Loving the series and anxiously awaiting Julian's story!

One More promise is a really enjoyable read. Dylan a rock star has been in rehab for alcoholism, to get his life back on track and to make amends for past bad behaviour he signs up to get involved in a charity to promote literacy. Paige is in charge of organising the P.R. for this through the company run by her father and sister. Paige does all the hard work and organising whilst her sister Ariel swans around and takes all the credit, their father constantly praising Ariel never acknowledging all that Paige achieves.
Chemistry between Dylan and Paige sparks off the pages (no pun intended!) and as they work together, Dylan makes Paige see how she is being walked all over by her sister and father.
A great book, you'll be cheering them both on, booing at her family and generally having a brilliant time reading this.
My thanks to net galley and publisher for opportunity to review this book honestly

I love a good bad boy who turns good! Dylan has been a rock star for a while. Lived the life, got into trouble, and os now making amends. You get the feeling it is not because he has too, but because he wants to change and be better. He meets Paige. She is a super uptight workaholic who wants to run a literacy campaign. She has everything all planned out, until her sister undermine her and gets "real celebrities" to work on the campaign instead of authors. Now Paige and Dylan are around each other all day, everyday.
The chemistry is quirky and cute between the couple. Each has a quality the other is lacking and needs in their life. I loved their story. I thought it was sweet and perfect for them!

Paige Walters works for her family PR firm in Los Angeles with her father and sister. She has always felt like an Ugly Duckling, or maybe Cinderella compared to her tall, svelte, glamorous sister and always falls short in the eyes of their father, even though her sister Ariel never actually does any work and dumps it all on Paige. Although with clients and other people Paige is forthright and firm, with her father and sister she is just a doormat and she never gets the courage to call them on their bad behaviour.
Paige feels passionately about a charity called Literacy Now and she has come up with a campaign involving famous authors, which she hopes will encourage reluctant readers at school to get more involved with books.
As usual, Ariel is asked to do one simple thing and, not only doesn't do what she was asked, but decides to go off on a tangent. Instead of contacting famous authors, Ariel decides that what the campaign needs are just famous people full stop and has invited rock stars and actors instead.
Dylan Anders has just spent three months in rehab after crashing his car whilst under the influence. He is the bass player with Shaughnessy, a famous rock band, and desperate to turn his life around. He is required to perform several months' Community Service following the accident and thinks that the literacy now campaign could be something he could get behind, particularly because he had difficulty reading as a child too.
Paige really has no idea who Dylan is, which he finds refreshing, initially put off by his tattoos and image she comes to find that the man underneath is nothing like the media image. Dylan likes Paige, he knows she is too good for him, she should date a lawyer or someone like that, but while the band is on hiatus he thinks the campaign will keep him out of trouble. he's never had a relationship last more than a few months anyway and Paige just isn't that sort of girl.
Paige is sick of her sister taking all the glory while she does all the hard work, she's sick of her father falling for Ariel's attention-grabbing tactics, she's sick of Ariel undermining her and criticising her clothing choices, but most of all she's sick of everyone thinking she's Miss Goody Two Shoes. if she wants to have a short-lived affair with a tatted rocker, why shouldn't she?
This was just a joy from start to finish. I haven't read any of the other books in the series but I don't think its necessary to be able to enjoy this one. If you like bad boys trying to turn over a new leaf and clever, funny women with a sweet tooth then this is definitely a great romance for you. I also got the distinct impression that this was a 'fade to black' kind of romance, I'm not going to go back and double check every sexy moment, but that was my overall opinion.
I thought I recognised some lines from famous (to me) films in there somewhere too!

This is defiantly a book for you if you love reformed bad boy rocker books. Dylan is totally swoon worthy. And boy will you swoon. I love the little naughty side with her nice side that Paige has. You feel for her with what she has to deal with when it comes with her dad and sister. Dylan and Paige are perfect together. You can just feel the chemistry and the love between them while reading this. Paige's assistant Daisy is awesome. Samantha Chase wrote an amazing book in One More Promise. I adore Samantha's books and I so can't wait for more from her. A must read that I couldn't put down.
