The second book in the series. It was fast and comfy like the first. I would recommend for anyone looking for a quick read.
The characters as so lovable. You feel like you are there in person at the sea.
My complaint about this is that I wish they would publish the whole thing at once! This is the short (very short!) second installment in a series following Daisy, who has inherited an old building in Ottercombe Bay. She's got to stay there for a year so she decides to make the most of things and turn the building into a business that sells hot chocolate etc. in the day and drinks at night. Sounds like fun, right? Well, Daisy has to deal with all sorts of ups and downs but- and here's the good part- there are some delightful characters in the Bay. Thanks to net galley for the ARC. I'm looking forward to the next one.
Here's pt 2 and with Daisy in shock over the loss of an item that links her closely to the suspicious death of her mother, she has to make up her mind as to what to do about the legacy she received from her late Uncle Reg's will.
Carrying on from where pt 1 left off, this character-driven piece ends in a cracker of a cliff-hanger and this reader now has to hope they'' be around for pt 3!
I actually broke off from reading another book when I realised part two of Ottercombe Bay was available, as I wanted to find out what had happened to Daisy. I wasn’t disappointed. I avidly read the book and am desperate for the next part! Fun but with some serious undertones, I can’t wait to see what Daisy does next.
Was looking forward to the second read in this series and was far better than I even expected and has you believing you are there at the seaside and great read with romantic comedy and excellent characters and story line has you hooked to what will happen next. Very short read but didn't feel it has you laughing in places as well and serious to a very enjoyable read.
In the second part you hear more about daisy who really wasn't wanting to stay in the bay but was left an old building and she has to stay in the bay for a year. She's still in the bay and really upset as one night when she takes her locket off it gets stolen and it's her last memory of her mother and she just wants to find it. She is also trying to work out what to do with the old building and different people are trying to give her ideas and she goes for a gin and chocolate bar and can she get the permission she needs and the money to help get the building round as she can't touch the inheritance for a year. Has you thinking and can daisy start to be happy in the bay with old and new friends a really enjoyable and laugh out loud read highly recommend.
Ottercombe Bay part 2 by Bella Osborne is a light hearted read set in the West Country. It is about friends, restoration and new beginnings. There is a wonderful, warm feel to it that draws the reader in, with a chatty, engaging style.
The story is about establishing roots and renewing old connections.
With just nine chapters in this second part, I now really want to read the whole book. To see not only what happens next but what went before. My appetite is well and truly whetted for sand, sea and an old railway station.
Delightful read.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.
Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the Publisher, Avon Books, for this copy given in exchange for an honest review.
This is part two of the four part serialisation of Ottercombe Bay. Ideally, you do need to have read part one to understand the story. It is based in the fictional town of Ottercombe Bay on the Devon coast.
We return to Ottercombe Bay to continue the story of Daisy Wickens. Daisy returned to her childhood town following the death of her Great Uncle Reg to find that he had left Daisy something in his Will. Unfortunately for Daisy there were certain stipulations that she must keep before she gains her inheritance.
Excited to read Part Two, as I loved the first part. Part one set the story nicely and it continues in this one. I thought I wouldn’t remember the story as it has been a few weeks since I read the first one, but once I started reading it the characters and storyline came flooding back. It’s a lovely easy read where you get caught up in Daisy’s plans to rejuvenate the inheritance that Great Uncle Reg left her. You get to find out more about the different characters as the story moves on. I loved the ideas that Daisy came up with and can’t wait to read Part Three to find out how these plans move on.
Oh and before I forget, the cover of the book yet again deserves a mention as it is absolutely beautiful! These covers are works of art and thumbs up to the artist who designed these! A fantastic little read, well recommended and roll on Part Three!!
This is the second instalment of the series Ottorcombe bay. Daisy was left an old Railway building and she has to stay there for a year. This book goes into details about the options she has to change the use of the Railway into something of use. She decides on a hot choc cafe by day and Gin bar in the evenings. So once the council allow this to occur, renovations begin.
All the local residents help to pull down boards fix interiors until they come to the loved up Bats. HER aunts dog about keeps running off on his walks and Daisy drastically ends up in serious trouble similar to that of her mother's death... watch this space.
Brilliant.
Thank you netgalley

Oh, if possible I enjoyed this one even more than the first! I feel like in this second instalment we got to know the characters so much better and I loved reading more about them and their pasts in the cute little village. The story follows on from the first cliff hanger and I was racking my brains to try and come up with a solution with who could do such a thing to Daisy!
I really enjoyed reading more about the railway station and what Daisy's plans were for it. I also enjoyed reading about her and Max's days working together - it was nice to see them finally getting on better after coming to loggerheads more than once in the first novella. Daisy's idea for the station is brilliant and I love the idea of being something during the day and then changing of a night! It sounds exciting and I can't wait to read about further developments.
As with the first one, the second one was also left on a huge cliffhanger (perhaps an even bigger one than the first!) where we actually end up fearing for Daisy's life and wondering what was going to happen next. I don't want to give too much away but lets just say that I can't wait to read the first instalment!! If you haven't yet picked up the first in the Ottercombe series then I urge you to. You won't be able to put it down!
Thank you to Netgalley and to the publisher for a chance to read this novel, which I have reviewed honestly.
I loved the second book in the Ottercombe Bay series. We get to know the characters better and the plans for the railway station go to the planning department and become apparent. I can't wait to see the place take shape! I love the sound of the railway carriage and it's the sort of place I would love to visit
I enjoyed the second installment of this book. Characters are developing and you get hints of what it going to happen. It ends on a cliff-hanger with Daisy in danger, so looking forward to reading the enxt part to see what happens and who comes to her rescue!
