Between giving information that families with allergies already know and recipes which contain top allergens, this wasn't the book for us.
This is probably a good cookbook to get from the library to see if it's a good fit for you. The beginning has a long section about allergies that I think most folks cooking allergen-free probably already know. The recipes are a mix of what they're free from, which surprised me. I just assumed they were all free of the major allergens but the first recipe is for a wheat-based breakfast bread. Colorful banners show which allergens each recipe is free from and there are plenty that are free from gluten, dairy, eggs, etc. but if you have a child with multiple allergies then you'll spend a lot of time going "is this yellow, purple and green?" to see if that recipe works for you. There are lots of color photos and the recipes seem pretty easy, tasty and traditional.
