The storyline had the potential of being really good, the blurb intrigued me and I always love a good sports romance, but unfortunately Catching The Player was like a dropped ball in the end zone that could have won the game. in other words disappointing. I just could not connect with Kassidy no matter how hard I tried. Wyatt I liked overall but again just didn't love. I just didn't connect with this one sadly and I wish I would have.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I raced through this book, it was such a light and easy read, I couldn't wait to see what would happen.

Kassidy Thomas is a very good accountant that has brought a profit in the family flower shop. She is a self described non-risk taker. Likes her life in an orderly fashion, however, that hasn't worked for her since her boy friend of several years left her for another woman. He claimed that she didn't know how to live her life. When she loses a bet with her brother, he makes her deliver a singing telegram in a Tinkerbell costume. Here's the problem, she is a horrible singer. When Kassidy knocks on the door, it is no other than famous quarterback Wyatt Hamilton, who answers. Wyatt realizes what a horrible singer Kassidy is, but he smitten with her. Actually convinces her to accompany him to a dinner that night.
Now that she's met Wyatt, Kassidy has decided it's about time she starts living her life. Wyatt keeps showing up at her house, since he can't stay away, making sure that she knows he doesn't want any type of a relationship, just friends with benefits. Knowing that in the end she's going to get hurt, Kassidy can't help herself but to go on seeing him. Then the unthinkable happens.

This is a very solid story with two great, genuine and well-drawn characters, a quarterback who doesn’t want to be distracted from football by a relationship, and an ordinary young woman afraid of stepping outside her comfort zone.
Diane Alberts does a great job writing this hero. Wyatt Hamilton is not the clichéd player, full of himself. He’s very dedicated to the game, very professional, but he has other facets that make him an endearing man. I enjoyed, for instance, his relative discomfort and shyness with fangirling and people gushing over him. He’s also a very honorable, honest and unassuming guy.
As for the heroine, Kassidy, she’s a quiet and a bit insecure and fearful girl, who overthinks everything and is trying to step outside of her comfort zone.
The story is about they meet and begin to know and fall for each other, showing how Wyatt slowly changes his assumptions, the way he cherishes Kassidy and how he realizes that a relationship with her won’t jeopardize his career and is good for it (and for him). And ultimately how he has to conquer her back because she is the one – this whole process is lovely to watch and Diane Alberts writes it using lots of showing.
I also liked the secondary characters and the main characters’ families.

This was a great read! Full of humor, sexy times, and a wonderful romance. From the opening scene to the HEA it was completely entertaining. It has some wonderful characters and great writing. Kassidy is a flower arranging accountant being held back by her past. Wyatt is a commitment phobe devoted to his career. Kassidy and Wyatt were great together. Two people not looking for anything serious but sometimes life has different plans. Definitely a book I recommend to everyone!

I didn't know what to expect from this book, but i was happily surprised. The characters were fun, boring, and real ones I have read for awhile. Now when I say boring I do not mean that in a bad way, I mean it in a normal way. Not everyone is high maintenance, not all need to be the center of attention, there are people like us that can don't have to be seen and that is what you see with it being a normal family making a living. I really enjoyed that about this book. Now of course you had your star football player, the one everybody wants and that is great but to see just some normalcy in a story was something I did enjoy. The story line was cute. Sister loses a bet. Must be a singing telegram. Meets handsome football player. Becomes humiliated. Become friends. Become no strings attached lovers. Accidentally falls in love. Plot twist. Then the drama starts. I loved every character in this story. From the protective brother, to the hot shot football player, to the nerdy girl that said football player falls in love with. Everything about this book was good.

This is my first time reading this author and I really did enjoy it. It was one of those reads that you can sit down and enjoy and relax. I miss being able to do that every once an while and I am so happy that I was able to read this book. I will be looking for other books from this author to be able to sit down and read.

It all started with a bet. Can it end in Happily Ever After for Kassidy and Wyatt.
Kassidy turning up on Wyatt's doorstep to sing a telegram doesn't think she is suitable for the player and agrees to be more or less friends with benefits without the falling in love getting in the way.
Wyattt is a quarterback and the only marriage he wants is to the game. But of course you can't always get what you want and after some crazy nights together and with a surprise in store Wyatt needs to decide if family life is what he needs in order to keep Kassidy. Kassidy needs to know that she is loved for real and not due to circumstances. Can they find their HEA.

This is the first book by Diane Alberts that I have read and I am so glad it did. It was a pleasant surprise.

Kassidy has been living safe for a long time. She doesn’t want to get hurt so she doesn’t date. At. All. NFL player, Wyatt, is married to the game. He loves and lives for the game. Neither of them wanting to get involved with anyone but a chance meeting changes everything. These two go from strangers to friends to reluctant lovers.

Really enjoyed this book. It was a quick, sweet read!!

A delightfully charming story, I expected to like this book but I enjoyed it more than I had thought, so that was a nice and welcomed surprise.

What was also a great surprise where the characters, specifically our heroine, Kassidy. She was amazing, I loved her! She's sweet and kind, she wants to break out of her shell, truly start living and enjoy it but she's also vulnerable. It's so enjoyable to read from her POV, I don't think anyone can read this book and not think Kassidy is a sweetheart.

The circumstances in which she meets Wyatt and how it goes from there might not be quite realistic but it so doesn't matter because these two together have a great chemistry! There aren't just some romantic moments but some really funny ones too and I was just completely rooting for them to realize that they need each other and to just go for it. The story didn't disappoint at all.
Great book by Diane Alberts.

As a child, Kassidy Thomas had wanted to be a writer until she realized the uncertainty of financially supporting herself in that career and instead became an accountant and had taken over management of the family flower shop. It had been her idea of adding singing telegrams, which is how she found her tone deaf self singing to NFL star Wyatt Hamilton and then helping him negotiate an endorsement with some Chinese investors. After spending time together, confirmed bachelor Wyatt can't seem to stay away from this enchanting girl, who thinks she is boring and does not realize what a gem she is. While they both agree that nothing can become of any relationship between them, fate has other ideas. I read an ARC for an honest review. I found the story charming and funny and looking foward to reading more in the series

This is the second book that I have read from this author, and I absolutely loved it! Catching the Player is the third book in the Hamilton Family series (sadly I missed reading book two, but will recify that), which is Wyatt and Kassidy's story. It's full of humor, laugh out loud scenes, some good old fashioned romance, and hot steamy lovin all rolled up into a well written book. I loved the chemistry between these two. Wyatt is a Quarterback for the Atlanta Saviors, a pro football team, who is a lifetime bachelor. Doesn't want the whole marriage, kids, commitment thing at all, until he meets Kassidy, an accountant for her family's flower shop and an avid football fan who knows everything there is to know about football, including the star quarterback for the Saviors. The story is filled with some pretty funny scenes, the book kept me very engaged from the first page to the very last. Loved the ending, perfect way to finish off the story. Great book,, well worth the read!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Entangled for the ARC. I voluntarily reviewed this book. First time reading this author. These books remind me a little of Harlequin romances. Fun, quick reads. I enjoyed the story and thought it had a unique storyline. Kassidy and Wyatt spark off each other. I was surprised not more issues with media coverage. Overall just a fun read. I think that most romance readers would enjoy this.

This book has both cursing and on-screen sex, if those things are going to cause you to leave a bad review, you should skip this one. Although this book is part of a larger series, it completely stands alone and comes to a complete, happy ending.

This was my first Diane Alberts book but I can assure you that it will not be my last. I loved not only this take on the trope of nerdgirl-and-sportsball player, but also the way that this book was written - there is so much humor that I found myself chuckling out loud as I was reading and I love that. (How DO serial killers talk?) I also identified with Kassidy and her caution more than I had ever dreamed that I would. I liked that she was trying to step out of her comfort zone and that she took chances that she normally wouldn't have, with or without Wyatt's help. Wyatt was also really great. While he was the typical jock who could have any woman he wanted and had more money than he'd ever need, Wyatt was just a seriously good guy who wanted the best for Kassidy. While his reaction to The Twist was...uh, ill-advised, I also understood it and didn't hold it against him. The Twist could have gone a few different ways (not all of them good) but I really liked how this one transpired and worked out. And the ending was sweet and that epilogue was swoon-worthy.

If you like to laugh while reading about two characters who swear they won't fall in love while so obviously being already in love, you should give this one a read. I look forward to discovering more books by this author and would happily read a book about Connor's quest for true love.

I requested and was generously granted an ARC of this story via NetGalley and the publisher. I was under no obligation to write this review, I did so because I really enjoyed this story.

This is the first book I read from Diane Alberts. This book made me cry (what a tear jerker) … and also made me laugh. Sometimes I love the leading characters, but sometimes I don’t .. and I believe that is the point of the author. The story is really good, its almost like a cinderella story, except what we have here is an accountant and a star football player. The Player was afraid to have a committed relationship, because he might lose focus on his career. The girl was living a sheltered life, and wants to start living. I am not going to give any spoilers and recommend it to readers out there who loves happily ever after romance.

Wow! This is the first book that I have read from Diane Alberts and I'm definitely a fan. The characters made me laugh throughout the book. Kassidy loses a bet and has to deliver a singing telegram. After she finishes her caterwauling tune she realizes the recipient is why she is in this embarrassing predicament in the first place. In an effort to repay a favor she attends a business dinner with Wyatt. Explosive chemistry and absolutely hilarious moments!

I love the Hamilton family. This was Wyatt's book, and he ends up meeting Kassidy, who had given up on men and dating, when her boyfriend dumped her for being boring, of course he had cheated on her first. Wyatt, is a playboy, interested in one-night stands, and never giving more of himself. When Kassidy is hired to sing a telegram to him, he is instantly interested and asks her to a date, interpreting for him. Kassidy agrees to go out with him, since she broke a priceless vase. And the rest is history, at one point I was disappointed in Wyatt, but his big brother Eric, assists him, and he fixes it. Read it, it is enjoyable..

This was not my first book from Diane Alberts and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed every page with the exception of some minor grammatical errors.
The hero was smart, easy to relate with and totally down to earth. Funnily, his ego wasn't as big as I thought it initially would have been. The heroine was absolutely so real!! Funny and aware of herself as a person. I was especially pleased at the fact that she recognizes that she do anything she puts her mind to....a real modern day, take-the-bull-by-the-horns gal.
As to her brother, Caleb, I appreciated him being there to support his sister. Overall, a good read

Rom-com with some funnier moments. I did like that Kassidy knew sports and was respected for that knowledge,
