The friendship and camaraderie of the brothers and their mothers is the highlight of this book. It has carried through the series (at least the books I have read). Family, whether it be biological or not, is everything. The romance between Knox and Darya was not really there for me. The story moves slow for the first 80% of the book then the real action happens. Maybe that is why their romance did not draw me in, I like more angst from the characters. Yes, Knox’s character fits the bill but their romance was just a side item for me and took a backseat to the brotherhood.
" FIVE COCKY CODING HOT NERDY STARS"
Before I begin, I will admit that Knox has been my most anticipated character in the haven series. With that, comes some seriously high expectations and Rhenna did NOT disappoint! Rhenna blew me away with her knowledge on hacking/coding and the authenticity of the story reined true from beginning to end.
Knox and "JJ" aka Darya are on a slow simmer on the pages from the get go. She was an enigma to him, and he was a promise to her. Darya has a past shes running from, and as bits and pieces come out it becomes clear, shes done no "wrong doing". Knox being Knox, does some digging to try to solve the mystery of her, and unbeknownst to him, he begins to fall for her. " Curiosity can be a dangerous thing. Leads you into places and tempts you with things you shouldn't know".
The brothers decide to not let her tackle this on her own, and all offer up their services of help to Knox. As the story progresses, the evil resurfaces at a time when their newfound relationship is most vulnerable. Will their hotter and hot romance survive? Can a cocky coder like Knox conquer the evil plaguing Darya, and more importantly will she let him?
This was such a thrilling addition to the series, and each and every brother is so different in every facet. Rhenna does an amazing job with originality yet tying these stories into one cohesive family!
Rhenna Morgan's Men of Haven series is about family you choose and the men who call each other brothers by choice. It's got heart and heat, and the men will melt your Kindle with their sexiness.
I love the men of Haven. If there's one overriding thing about these series which keeps me coming back over and over again, it's the brothers and how they come together, as a family, when having fun, and in times of crisis. They have each others' backs and they don't back down from a fight or when one of them needs help. They are all in, and I love that. Every second of it. These men as a group have my heart.
"“So, we wait,” Trevor said, the easy drawl in his voice belying the stout vow behind his words. He rocked forward, guiding the front two legs of his chair back on the floor, grabbed his beer and lifted it in salute. “But we do it together and give your girl a safe place to share.”"
"God, they were a motley group. Every one of them incredibly different and fallible on their own, but unbreakable and steadfast as a whole. And they were his. His brothers. The family he’d always wanted patiently waiting and willing to support his future however he chose to build it. He lifted his own drink. “Yeah, we do it together.”"
"”I heard you. Though, if I’d listened to my brothers four weeks ago, you’d know by now our women don’t sacrifice anything for us. They live how they want. Free. Without fear. And that happens because we have the means and the fortitude to obliterate any threat to their happiness, no matter where that threat comes from.”"
I'll be honest, with this book, I struggled for the first half of it, even considered not finishing it at some points because Knox started off as a bit of a dick. I understand he was driven by past hurts but man, he had some asshole moves and even though he was upfront and honest about it from the start, it made me want to smack him over the head. I'm glad he finally got smart and pulled his head out of his ass long enough to make things right and be brave enough to take a chance with his heart. He'd already lost it to Darya anyway. Beyond that, Knox, like the rest of the Haven brothers is a man of talent and means. He's also honorable and determined, trustworthy and loyal to those he loved and considered family. These are all admirable qualities and they certainly shone through when he finally got himself sorted. It was also very brave of him to put himself out there with Darya considering all that he's been holding back, so kudos for his courage and also his strength when it came to taking care of and protecting Darya. He truly redeemed himself for me in the second half of the book and completely turned it around for me when it came to enjoying the reading experience.
Darya is a survivor. She's been running and hiding for many years of her life after a difficult start and the tragic circumstances of losing her family. She's been blessed in her life with people who have gone out of their way to protect her and help her get a better life. Through it all though, she remains sweet, kind and genuinely nice. I admired her bravery when she decided to take the fight into her own hands when it came to ending the threat to her life. Even while she had people willing to go a long way to protect her and keep her safe, she took charge of her life and her fate. That's commendable.
While I enjoy the love story of the individual couples and the sexiness that goes on between them, it's the men of Haven I love. Them, together, as a group. I look forward to the next books in the series so I can read more about these men.
After reading Tempted & Taken, I'm going to have read the first three books--if they're anything like this one, I'll be hooked!
Wow what a ride this book is! I've been waiting for Knox's story and this one did not disappoint.
Knox is on high alert because someone is digging into his public past. Problem is he doesn't think the girl is who she claims to be. Rightfully so. Darya is from Russia and on the run from a man who won't give up until he finds her.
What Darya wants is Know to teach her coding. Darya is great with IT and Knox is the Wizard behind the IT curtain for the Brotherhood. When he agrees to talk to Darya and give her a chance, he learns more about her and of course brings her to a family gathering where she passes muster with the brothers and their wives. Darya is slow giving out her past but as things transpire in the book she's forced to tell Knox.
I loved Knox. Darya as well. The backstory here was great and as always loved to see the other brothers and the Moms! I love those women.
This was a 5 star plus read for me!

4 1/2 Star Review......
Book 4 of the Haven Brotherhood series brings us the story of Knox and Darya. As with previous stories, Tempted & Taken is action-packed, fast-paced and one hell of a gripping read.
Knox was everything I hoped for and more, and Darya complements his take no prisoners’ attitude and the devotion he shows to those he loves. An exciting, gritty and edge of your seat read, Tempted & Taken will definitely keep you engrossed till the very last page.
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Book Length: Novel
Male Lead (H): Knox is the super sexy hacker of the brotherhood. He’s tall, lean, tattooed and definitely knows his way around more than a computer. He’s a little jaded due to past failed relationships that have hardened him towards love, but he’s honest and loyal to those he calls family.
Female Lead (h): Darya is a beautiful and blonde Russian bombshell. She’s learned to enjoy every moment as if it’s your last, which allows her to be open, friendly and have a loving heart.
Heat Level: 3
Frequency of Sex (1-5): 3
Storyline: A woman running from her past enlists help from a super smart tech genius in order to learn and create a life she’s always wanted. When her past catches up with her, will she follow her heart or her instincts to run?
Angst Level (1-5): 2
Standalone/Series/Cliffhanger: Standalone, but part of the Haven Brotherhood series. I highly recommend reading the previous 3 books – they are AWESOME!
Epilogue: Yes
Would I Recommend? Yes
My Review: Tempted & Taken is one of my favorite books in this series so far. I loved Knox and Darya together, they were sweet and honest and when Knox finally fell, he fell hard! I appreciated the storyline was a bit different and had some excitement and danger thrown into the mix. The brotherhood is so amazing and it makes me want to find a man that belongs to such a strong and supportive family like them. I can’t wait to read Beckett’s story next and when Axel finds his woman…watch out!!! Such a great series!
Disclosures: I voluntarily read a copy of this book courtesy of NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
A Russian lass, having taken a friend’s identity, is on the run in Texas, where she wants to be mentored by a rich handsome computer genius. . . and have sex with him too. He has a large improv family of brothers, mostly from his time in foster care; I have not read the previous books in this series, so that’s all I know.
These types of books are rarely about plot; all that’s needed is that it not come off as stupid. This story actually did a pretty good job of getting the leads together in a realistic way. As always, I think it’s a good book if I like the female character, though in this case I think it’s well-written anyway, with plenty of little moments to keep me entertained. There was one scene about ¾ of the way through that seemed to drone on and on, but other than the fact I don’t think a Russian mob would simply let things go without being honor-bound to revenge, that’s the only negative I have for this.
I was disappointed, however, in not getting a shot-by-shot account of the skeeball game. . .
another solid romance by Ms. Morgan. Excellent plot and dialogue.

"Tempted & Taken" by Rhenna Morgan
My Thoughts...
This was another good series of the 'Men of Haven # 4 that was indeed a good read. The story features one of my favorite of the 'Men of Haven' Knox Torren who was yes a 'coder, hacker, dominant alpha and a friend.' Then you add Darya Volkova who had to hide her identity, wanting to work for Knox and the reader will be ready for a wonderful story of how this will all work out as these two are drawn together.
Will Knox be able to save Darya from who she is running from? Will their chemistry that have for each other be able to keep them together? I loved how this author brings it all out about Knox past and why he was the way he was especially when it came to the women he came involved with.. With all the Haven Men, with their wives and moms being involved again really makes this story so very real as they come together helping just when it was needed. Also, I liked some of the new characters that were new to this series that was added to to give the reader a different spin in how the story turned out.
I will say it was great seeing Knox with Darya. Now, will they get their HEA? Well you will just have to pick up "Tempted & Taken" to see how this author brings out another good series to the readers. All that is left for me to say is that Knox was truly one guy I loved reading about where he finally gets his happiness!
Loved it!! Sexy and passionate
This author pulls you in and wraps you in her story! Terrific book!

It is another book from Men of Haven series. In this one computer guru fall for the Rusian girl. Darya is sick of hiding in the shadow so she finds a way to stop hiding. She thinks that Knox is the one to help her. Knox has his doubts about Darya but he can't stop thinking about her so to stop with the unhealthy obsession he gives her an opurtunyti that bring Darya into his world and family. The attraction is mutual between them and it doesn't take long that they start a relationship. But Darya past comes knocking at the door and there is no way that Knox will let her run away. Both Darya and Knox are well develop and everything with great attraction and chemistry they also have a little bit kinky sex. But I didn't feel them like I did Gabe and Zeke or Vive and Jace. The something special was for me just not there. But I did enjoy the book and the suspense.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly
