Trust in Me is a good fit for readers looking for a contemporary romance novel that explores themes of redemption, forgiveness, and the power of trust in healing from past mistakes.
This is the third book in the 'Fight For Me' series. I felt this book could be read alone, but would be more enjoyable with the additional background information you get with the first two books in the series. I felt the story line and the characters to be well written.
This book is about Marco and Kat, I was entertained reading this story. This book has drama from the past that helped Marco, who I felt at the time was selfish and spoiled, learn and grow from his mistakes. Bad decisions made in our younger years has a way of coming back to haunt us. You'll have to read to see what past mistakes were made. I enjoyed reading the chemistry between the couple, the twist and turns kept the story interesting and me on the edge of my seat. I could not put this book down! If you like second chance stories this is a book for you.
***I voluntarily reviewed this ARC for an honest review via NetGalley, (also own this book from a boxed set) this is my honest opinion and has not been influenced by the author, Publishers or NetGalley in anyway.*** Thank you!
Marco just got out of a four year stint in the service to come home to help his family not that he knew what he would help with because he ran away four years ago. After stopping to get a new truck he sees a woman on the side of the road broken down so when he offers to help she is standoffish but she finally relents cause she has really got to get to work. Kat is alone except for her brother who is in a wheelchair so this job her friend Tony gave her will let her pay her rent and help her brother when he lets her. When Kat sets her eyes on Marco she wants to trust so bad but she is afraid after Leo and then finding out the crappy father she had was better than her real father who is a criminal, she has almost no trust in anyone. Marco can't get Kat out of his head so after gives her a ride he offers to pick her up and fix her car, but he doesn't tell her his last name and she doesn't share her past either but things are coming so they had better. I have been fortunate enough to be able to read the two prior books in this series and though it's a standalone the author included some of the characters from the previous books which really made you feel like you know them personally. Dangerous, sexy and emotional a perfect group.
Trust in Me is book 3 in the Fight for Me series, but you could read it as a stand alone. Its been so long since I read the previous 2 books I had forgotten most of the plotlines! But, I did remember really liking the previous books!
This book is the story of the eldest Adamo brother, Marco. After causing a car crash that cost his best friend a limb, Marco decides a drastic life change is in order and abruptly joins the military. Now that his tour is over, he is home. But his family's company is in shambles and his family is fractured. On his first day back in town, he has a chance meeting with Kat. Turns out these two have way more connections than they realized at first.
So, part of the story is a bit of hidden identity. Once Marco finds out Kat is an employee at Adamo, he doesn't want to tell her his last name. But, neither realizes that her brother Ryan was the friend Marco nearly killed 4 years earlier. So, as the reader, you can see exactly where the drama will come from. Ryan still hasn't quite made peace with his new reality so there is still a lot of animosity. Kat and Marco have great chemistry so knowing this huge secret that neither of them realized was heartbreaking. Also, Marco's family strife is sorrowful. His mom is a shell of herself after his father's betrayal and his nonna isn't doing much better. Tony is stressed from having to shoulder the company alone. Marco was such a spoiled narcissist before the crash and his subsequent life change that its easy to be irked with him for his part in the current family stress.
This wasn't my favorite of the 3 books in series, but it was solid. Marco and Kat were tragic heroes for sure.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book which I received
through Netgalley.
I liked this story but didn't love it
This was a really good sexy romantic suspense. I wasn't expecting this story to be so intense. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by this author!
Kat was finally making a difference in her life. It was finally going somewhere and she enjoyed her new job with Adamo Enterprises. Getting this chance was everything. Hesitant towards men due to a brutal relationship she meets Marco. A knight in shining armor that helped her when she needed it the most. The past will continue to haunt her and he is the on,y one who can keep her safe from those who would seek to do harm. Marco is finally feeling at peace for the mistakes that have plagued him for years. Both of them find a new beginning with each other. Great story! Absolutely loved the continuation of this series.

This is the first story I read from this author. The story has laughs, steam, pain, fast paced action, suspense, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Fight for Me (Fight for Me #1)
Hold You Close (Fight for Me, #2)
This is Kat and Marco’s story. When Marco get drunk and crashes his car his best friend is injured. He knows he needs to clean up his act and runs off and joins the military. Now years later he is back. He has changed into a better man but when he meets the woman he wants he is shattered when he finds out she is the sister of his best friend. She is determined to stay away from Marco. But when she needs protection she knows Marco can protect her but who is going to protect her heart from being broken? Marco has one chance to get Kat to not only trust him but to also fall for him, so he can prove he has changed. Can he make it happen and keep her safe? Or is he about to lose her before he ever got her?
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I recommend this book.
A very good simple romance. A nice story for anyone who enjoys romance.
Trust in Me is another great Fight for Me story. This time it's Marco's turn for redemption. He's back from serving in the army with a choice to re-enlist or get out and stay with his family. His family who needs his help now that his father is facing charges and prison time. But, before he can make any decision, he meets a fascinating woman whose car is broken down on the side of the road. She makes an immediate impression and he's very interested.
But, Marco has a secret in his past that when Kat finds it out, will make any attempts he has made at getting to know her, moot. If they can get past it, though, they'll have a real chance at something special because they have electric chemistry. I loved them together. She with all her independence and walls, and he with all his sweet charm and just trying to figure out what's best for him and his family. But, there is more than just Marco's secret that will stand in their way. When it becomes obvious that Kat is caught up in something that she had no hand in, it's up to Marco and Kat to try to make their way through it so they can be together.
Trust in Me is a sweet, sexy romantic suspense. Marco and Kat have great chemistry and are interesting, likable characters. And It was good to see Tony and Ginny again and Knox and Natalie. I'm hoping there's more to come in this series!
Great read! I have not read the other books in the series, but did not feel lost because of it. I loved the relationship that Kat and Marco start and their first meeting. You root for them and especially for Marco, hoping he will break through Kat’s walls.
I received a copy of this e-book and am voluntarily leaving an honest opinion.
Marco is returning home, after 4 years in the service. As the oldest, he should have taken over the family business but because he was on a path of self destruction he went into the service. Though he has grown as a man, he suffers guilt over an accident that left a friend with only one leg.
Kat grew up in a dysfunctional family and as her mother was dying, she told Kat that the man she thought was her father....wasn't. She was appalled to find out her biological father was a major crime figure but she had no intentions of ever meeting him. She did meet her Grandmother though, his mother, and they had a wonderful relationship before she passed away.
Kat and Marco meet when she breaks down and he stops to help her. He says he can fix the problem much cheaper and because of finances she agrees to let him help her. He will take her to work and pick her up, and then fix her car.
Kat and Marco start seeing one another but there are secrets...secrets that could ruin what they have growing between them. Then an issue totally out of their control intrude on their lives and it becomes a fight for survival.
I really enjoyed this story...it has many twists and turns. Kat and Marco go through so much, more than an average couple so you can't help but root them on. Another great book in this series...

Trust In Me
A Fight For Me Novel

4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was the 3rd book in this series. I had not read the previous books before this one. I really enjoyed this story and prob would have loved it more if I had more of the background info that was prob in the first 2 books. That being said I had no problem following the relationship between Marco and Kat.
This was a great story that had love, sex, murder, family drama, and lots more to keep you entertained.
Thanks NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.
Trust In Me by Jessica Linden is book three in her Fight for Me series and can be read as a standalone. Marco Adamo has returned from an overseas army deployment after 4 years of absence. While he was away there were some family changes including his father being arrested on drug charges and his younger brother Tony being forced into becoming CEO of Adamo Enterprises.
Kat Delagrange has had a rocky life, with not the greatest of parents and an abusive ex. She has been able to get away, connect with a paternal grandmother she had never known, and get a better job, courtesy of her friend Tony Adamo. When Kat's car breaks down no one stops to help her so Marco does the gentlemanly thing and stops to help, thus beginning the roller coaster of their relationship. Kat is hesitant due to her previous poor experience and Marco does not want to immediately tell her that he is part owner of the company she works for, and that is just the beginning of the secrets each holds.
I liked the connection between Marco and Kat and the loyalty that they and their family and friends feel for each other. The attraction between them never diminishes even when events reveal secrets that cause them have doubts and complications, while others push them back together. I felt that the deeper internal conflicts that Ms. Linden has developed for these characters was well done and adds very well to their interactions with each other as they work through their own personal demons and doubts.
Overall, I very much enjoyed Trust In Me by Jessica Linden and the twists and turns that the character and plot development took, but more than anything the connection between Marco and Kat how it grew, changed and became deeper throughout the book.

My Thoughts:
This is the third book in this series and the second book I have read by this author. I definitely liked this book better than the first, the book with Knox and Natalie. I am definitely going to have to go back and read the second book.
This book flowed well. It had action, suspense, witty banter, and great chemistry between Marco and Kat. There are secrets and lies by omission that kept me on edge. There are twists and turns and push and pull between characters. My heart hurt for all the characters at times as their individual story’s unfolded. I really liked Marco and Kat and I was rooting for them. Ryan, Kat’s brother is a great character and I hope he gets his own book. Some of the secondary characters are from the first and second book. You don’t need to read the first two books to understand what’s going on in this book, but I think things would be clearer.
If you like romantic suspense, give this book a try.

Marco was drinking and driving when he was involved in and accident that severely injures his best friend, Ryan. Unable to live with what happened he runs away and joins the military. Now four years later a different man still carrying the same guilt returns home. He meets Kat but when she finds out he is the reason for her brother’s injuries she wants nothing to do with him. Someone is out to hurt Kat; can Marco keep her safe? This is a fast-paced read with plenty of drama and emotion. I found the characters interesting and the story entertaining. A good read.
4.5* Marco has definitely changed his ways and he's come home to help his mom and brother. He didn't bank on helping a damsel in distress and he sure as heck didn't plan on falling for her. While they're falling on love, they're so much going on behind the scenes that I was practically biting my nails to see what was going to happen next.
Would she be able to forgive him when she never thought she would be able to forgive the man that about killed her brother? The push and pull of their relationship, her being a strong woman and him being a strong man makes for a really good book and one I really enjoyed. I'm really enjoying this series!!
This the first book by this author that I've read and I was excited because the plot sounded good.
Marco is returning from the military after being away from home since an accident that left his best friend hurt and him feeling like he needed to straighten up! What he didn't expect was to meet Kat on the side of the road. Kat is attracted to her shining knight that helps her when her car breaks down. What they both don't know is that they have something in common.....Or rather Someone.
Kat works for Adamo company and Marco is an heir to the company, Marco really likes Kat but when secrets from the past come around and threats she didn't know existed arise will she still see Marco as her shining knight? This book plot fell a little flat for my taste. It [the plot] felt a little forced and the out of know where 'twist' didn't really go well, IMO with the story line. I could see where the author wanted the story to go, it just didn't make it, at least for me, unfortunately.
Trust in Me is a sweetly emotional, intriguing story that kept me up late into the night. Marco and Kat have a chance meeting when her car breaks down and he stops to help her, and they both feel a strong connection. What neither realizes at the time is that they are connected in ways they never imagined. Marco was driving her brother when he was permanently disabled in a car crash five years ago. Marco is still tortured with guilt over the accident, and he is afraid he will lose any chance he has with Kat. He desperately wants an opportunity to get to know her. When danger threatens Kat, Marco proves he is much more than the man he was when that accident happened. Linden does a wonderful job of pacing the story, developing the relationship and building the sexual tension while also adding an interesting, suspenseful subplot. I’ve really enjoyed Linden’s Fight for Me series and the entire Adamo family.
