Another hilarious story by Helena Hunting! She had a unique way of creating a series plot with an oversize of humor thrown in!

Sexy and fun. Review to follow.
UPDATE:
What happens in Bora Bora stays in Bora Bora...or not ;)

Amalie’s (Amie) husband Armstrong, of like 15 minutes, cheats on her and what does she do? She cuts off her wedding dress, goes all bad-ass ninja, and does her best at a little sexed up sweet revenge. I loved Amie. She wasn’t a doormat, and she didn’t take any BS. I would hang out with her and her BFF Ruby in real life. Then there’s Sexy Lexy. Ahhh Lexington... Amie and Lex’s chemistry was hotter than a beach in Bora Bora.

If you’ve read Helena’s other books, you know you're in for a hot and laugh out loud adventure. You need to hook yourself up with this book!

I loved the missed chances aspect of this book. To see Amalie and Lex reconnect and all her preconceived notions smashed to bits was great. The chemistry was off the charts!!

"No was the very last thing I wanted to say to you..."
How do you go about when you hear your husband moaning from pleasure on your wedding day... with another woman? Rage and revenge with the one person he hates most... his first cousin! But... things don't always go as planned because said cousin would never use someone as part of a game. Things get pretty hot and heavy when both Amalie and Lexington conveniently find themselves in Bora Bora, one trying to escape the fallout of the drama she left behind and the latter on business. A man can reject the woman of his dreams only for so long... especially if technically she's his cousin's wife! "Hooking Up" was inevitable... their instant attraction to one another was like trying to fit in a lifetime of physical connection into the few weeks they have together. Are Amalie and Lexington comforting each other in passionate lust to divert from their life or is something more long-term brewing behind the scenes? A steamy and hilarious Romantic Comedy you'll enjoy reading from start to finish. 5 Roguish and Highly Entertaining Stars for "Hooking Up" ... when a humiliating beginning turns into something so much more substantial!

When I first met Amie and Lex in Shacking Up and again in Eye Candy (Hello, Gladiator Lex), I knew their story was one I NEEDED like air to breathe. The initial flirting, playful banter, and sexual tension was an instant HIGH. After a small hit, I had to have MORE. I also had to know if justice would be served to the A-man with the small pencil down below. Spoiler alert: The sweet justice dished out to the anti-hero A, was the icing on the cake.

Like little brother, Bane, Lexington ‘Lex’ is ALL ALPHA. A god. He so smokin' hot and with a big heart!!! This melt-worthy man OWNS ME for life. Just YES!!! Lex is HERO PERFECTION, a lethal mix of hotness and heart that will have you wishing for a hook up with him.

”It’s okay, baby, I get it. know I’m irresistible.”

Amie is back and not the controlled and refined woman she was before. She is a full-on firecracker ready to take back her life! I ADORED her!!! Amie is a sassy and smart beauty, a heroine you’d want as your bestie.

Still nursing wounds from a wreck of a relationship, Amie is out to rediscover herself, recover the old Amie who valued herself most and lived, laughed, and had fun.

One night and it could have been Lex. It always should have been Lex. It should have been the man made for Amie.

I missed my chance before but maybe now I can be part of what helps put her back together.

Collision after collision has Lex and Amie together again. It’s as if a force is pulling them, a strong tide. A force of fate.

”I can only behave myself for so long.”

Maybe I don’t want you to behave.”

This hero and heroine EXPLODE TOGETHER!!! Their chemistry is COMBUSTIBLE. Their passion is PALPABLE. Their union is UNSTOPPABLE!!! I felt their chemistry steam off the pages, a blaze of fire that burnt me everywhere!!!

I crush my mouth to Amelie’s...It’s not a very coordinated kiss. It’s messy and teeth-clashing. It’s want and need. It’s possession. Hers and mine.

Together, Lex and Amie were so MAGICAL!!!This hero and heroine are fused by FATE, making their story even more special. These two were created for each other. I loved them both so much!

”Tell me you don’t feel this pull.”

Hooking Up is heart-stopping sexy meets saucy and sweet—a romance you’ll want to hook up with NOW!! This story is a sensual SLOW BURN that blazed though me everywhere! I was ENRAPTURED!!! Hooking Up HIJACKED ME from the start, quickly becoming a HIGH, one I felt the whole time reading. I LOVED this romance fused by fate, bathed in blazing heat, and felt with love. I felt the POWERFUL PULL of Hooking Up so hard, a story I couldn’t put down. Hooking Up is ALL THAT and MORE!!!

💋💋💋💋💋 hot and heartfelt ‘Sexy Lexy’ kisses

I posted the review for the first in this series yesterday while confessing that I read them out of order because #2 was on NetGalley and I had to beg the porny librarian to buy this one for me. The premise here is that Amalie is getting ready to marry . . . . some dude. I can’t remember his name so we’ll just call him Dick Punch since that’s what he needs. Anyway, it’s their wedding day and thanks to a pretty good church PA system, all of the guests get to enjoy the soothing sounds of Dick Punch receiving a blowie from the local whore. I know I know, girls aren’t allowed to call other girls whores, but all bets are off when someone’s got my fiancé’s wang in their mouth.

Completely humiliated, Amalie doesn’t know how she’ll face everyone. That’s when it’s great to have a best friend to help hide the body step in and take care of things. Enter Ruby who convinces Amalie to cash in Dick Punch’s plane ticket, use his credit cards and take a vacation from her problems.

This next part probably doesn’t matter anymore because I’m sure the cat is out of the bag at this point, but the author requested the love interest not be named, so I’m following orders. I will say, though, now that I’ve read both books that this is the only available dude from book one, so that doesn't make a whole lotta sense, but whatever. Anyway, Amalie and He Who Must Not Be Named (no relation to Voldemort) end up on the same flight going to the same destination and he makes her an offer she can’t refuse . . . .

If you’re looking for lots of the sexuals, this one has waaaaaaay more than Shacking Up. Unfortunately I didn’t like it as much and it’s all Amalie’s fault. He Who Shall Not Be Named was definitely splooshable, but she kept killing my ladyboner by being the kind of girl who is the reason why the rest of us can’t have nice things: She was a wimp, she was going to marry a Dick Punch she didn’t really know and who was barfable before he ever got a BJ at their nuptials, and she was a phony to boot and pretended to be all vanilla but then brought a suitcase full of sex toys on their honeymoon to show Dick Punch the “real her” or some such noise. Really? An entire freaking suitcase???? That seems excessive.

Anyway, this gets 3 Stars which still isn’t bad for me. Ya’ll will probably be able to ignore Amalie, focus on He Who Shall Not Be Named and surprise your husband with a selection from your giant trunk of sex appliances after you finish reading this one.

DNF at 37% after putting it aside for a long time. Had issues with content and did not hold my interest. I am not adding a star rating as I don't feel I read a sufficient amount to rate it.

I am loving this new series. It still has that Helena Hunting feel, but with a different vibe. Lex and Amie bring steamy to a whole new level. Even before Armstrong stole her away, in the beginning. You felt that there was something there. Chemistry = HOT HOT HOT.
I love how spending time with Lex, reminded her of who she was, before Armstrong tried to mold her into the perfect wife. There are some laugh out loud moments in this book, and some heart felt ones. The episode with airport security was one of the best laughs I have had in a long time, while reading a book.
I love anything Helena puts out and Hooking Up ranks high on the list of read again books.

I received an ARC in return for an honest review.

Hooking Up is one of the funnest, funniest and sexy no-strings-attached stories I've read in a long time. I have not read Shacking Up, so Lexington, Armstrong and Amalie are all characters who are new to me, even though their backstory begins in the previous book. Hooking Up is a standalone, but there were several references to the Shacking Up story that I was unaware of. But in no way did that detract from how much I enjoyed Hooking Up.

Not wanting to name which guy is which here... The humiliation that Amie suffers at her own wedding was just AWFUL -- and her response to it all was EXCELLENT! I loved that the other man didn't take advantage of the situation in the bridal suite (which had me laughing out loud to the point that my kid wanted to know what I was reading!). His turning Amie down just made it that much better when they finally get together on what's supposed to be her honeymoon, no strings attached. Just a rebound.

But when does no strings attached stay that way? I adored the easy relationship between Amie and the guy; it really served to show just how much of a jackass her husband turned out to be. At first, I hated that Amie and the other man didn't come clean about their feelings for one another before she returned to her real life, but again, it served the purpose of making me even more invested in them finally coming together as a couple.

I loved everything about this book, from the jilted bride, to the revenge sex, to the douchey husband trying to cover his ass, to the intense connection that Amie has with the guy she should have been with to begin with. Excuse me while I now go back and read Shacking Up!

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Wow!
Talk about a twist within this book.... I did not see the changes coming. And I don’t want to tell you the changes either. But since you will learn this in the very first few pages of the book - Armstrong is a freaking cock blocker and I'm shocked Amie falls for his words in the first few pages. I mean, seriously? Guess you need to read this book to find out what I am talking about. I absolutely enjoyed reading this book beginning to end. Although I will admit, a few parts made me cringe... and I won't lie... I cheated and read the last chapter because I just HAD TO KNOW how the story would end. I know, bad, but I couldn’t help myself!!!

I have read all of Ms. Helena Hunting's books and this one fell in line with what I except from her stories. This is book 2 in a series, but can be read without reading the previous book. Definitely a 5 star read!

A truly engaging story with moments of emotional intrigue that will both break your heart as well as warm it. Lex and Amie are a couple you could loose your that lead you through numerous twist and turns while on their way to their HEA.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

I loved this book, but that's no surprise since I loved Shacking up too. I loved Lex and Amie they we're adorable! Helena always knows how to right a cute captivating story that makes me root for the hero and heroine. I hated Armstrong he was a turdface of epic proportions and I can't wait to see what Helena has next for this world!

I really enjoyed this book. I was not sure what to expect when I pick this one up. I have enjoyed reading her "Pucked" books. This book was smart, funny, sexy. Lexington is so sexy... Sexy Lexy is a great name for him if only he liked it... and Amie or Amalie is just a funny down to earth girl looking for love, love that will not get her into trouble like the "bad boys" of her past. They meet at a dinner party and there is an attraction, however Lex leaves header alone for just a few minutes, his biggest mistake.... or maybe not! She meets his cousin Armstrong, who is everything she thinks she and her parents want.... little did she know, she never fully got to know Armstrong.

Armstrong turns out to be the biggest ass and things go down hill at their wedding..... nothing like finding out just after vows and before the big party..... This leads to lots of drama and a need for Amie to get out of NYC and enjoy some time (it is already paid for) in Bora Bora. Only to run into Lexington in the airport and find out he is also traveling on family business to Bora Bora...... Oh NOOOOO.... sexy Lexy and Amie on a tropical island..... he never stopped being interested and she was attracted to him, but she is married to his cousin.... twisted... will "hooking up" be enough or will they find true love? Will the history between Armstrong and Lex be too much for Amie to handle? Will Lex's family be ok with additional family drama and support this relationship? So much stopping them from being together..... but does love really care?

I loved every minute of it. Amie keeps Lex interested and on his toes, she is a smart, sexy (and owns it) fun loving girl and in turn Lex is a smart, sexy, romantic at heart and he not really looking for love, but once he finds it.... he falls hard... LOVED it!

Before starting Hooking Up I didn't realize this would be following characters that first made an appearance in Shacking Up. This book can read as a standalone but if you guys care about reading things in order you should read that one first. This book opens following Amalie Whitfield. She has just gotten married and instead of celebrating everyone hears her husband cheating during the reception. Instead of dealing with everything, Amalie decides to go on her honeymoon alone.

Since I didn't read Shacking Up and I didn't have any background about any of the characters, everything was new to me. This made it such an exciting read. I can't remember the last time I went through so many emotions while reading a book. Amie was such a unique and well written character. At first she seems polite and reserved but as she starts revealing more about herself it's clear that she's very sassy. I absolutely love Lex! I think he's my favorite male character from a romance novel that I've read recently. He's sexy and goes after what he wants but he's also sweet and caring. Lex is there for Amie when she needs it throughout the book and he does right her every single time even if it's not always what he wants.

I'm quickly discovering that Helena Hunting might be becoming one of my new favorite authors for contemporary romance novels. I can't wait to go back and read Shacking Up so I can see Amie's best friend Ruby fall in love and learn a little more about the characters from this book. Hooking Up is one of my favorite reads this year and I'm going to be recommending it to anyone that loves the genre!

This book was perfect to get me out of a Reading slump that has not left me for many weeks now!

From the moment I started it I got stuck in the story, I was so excited to read it because since the last book I found myself wishing that I could read the story behind some comments and actions that I picked up from both Lexington and Amie.

The way the book starts is funny and kind of heartbreaking but you also know that it was something that needed to happen to get these two on the road, Lexington was an incredible character, I was not expecting him so be the way it was and Amie was a pleasure to read, seeing her unravel and be herself again was so much fun to read.

True to a Helena Hunting book, the story is a wonderful combination between super funny situations, sexy encounters and truly romantic moments.
