When a Yankee named Deacon Banks shows up to Macy Frost's premier Charleston matchmaking service, the frisson between them can't be mistaken. Macy not only has a knack for matchmaking, she has Cupid's touch and truly knows when one has found a true match. Macy agrees to help Deacon in his farce to find a wife to satisfy his aunt's wishes. Wealthy and handsome make a dangerous combination for love, add in the vibe Macy's feeling between her and Deacon, and she must guard her heart against the pull of romance. Deacon feels it, too, but Macy doesn't want a holiday fling--only a forever love will do for this romantic professional.
Deacon goes along with Macy's picks for him, but he keeps coming back to Macy--a guy's gotta try. Finally, Macy gives in, but only if Deacon agrees to really try with the picks. He has a plan and arranges for the other women to feign a lack of attraction so he can get closer to Macy and wear her down. Flirting with love is a risky game, and when there are secrets, the truth usually finds its way before one can explain. Feeling betrayed by Deacon, Macy cuts him off. Deacon is on a mission to win her back, but is it too late with the stakes too high--he'll have to risk his heart and go all-in, too?
Sassy, filled to the brim with Southern charm, a Lowcountry setting, and romance, this story will put you in the mood for dancing to Christmas carols under the moonlight. Grab your favorite peppermint hot chocolate and cuddle up with this Christmas book sure to warm your heart.

I love a great Southern contemporary romance with Kieran Kramer writing some of my favorites. Christmas at Two Love Lane has now been added to that list. It doesn’t matter that Deacon Banks is not a Charleston native or even southern, he has the good sense to fall for a southern gal. Macy Frost is so busy helping others find true love at her Two Love Lane matching service that it seems that Cupid must step in to help her. It is rumored that she is a direct descendant of Cupid. With her last name, I wondered if Jack Frost is in her family tree too.
This Christmas book is an excellent read any time of the year that one is in the mood for a well-written romance with a touch of humor, touch of angst and a touch of heat. The story is easy and flowing with a strong chemistry between Macy and Deacon. I am not one for instant love so this is a wonderful blend of attraction and relationship building. I have found that you can’t go wrong with a Kieran Kramer book any time of the year.
This book has a good plot and interesting characters but is way too sugary sweet for me. The author has gone way to far to give this book the holiday season “feels”. I would not recommend this book unless you are in the mood to read something saccharine sweet.

A wonderful story that had me laughing in places and the chemistry between the characters were good

Like reading those feel-good Christmas stories because they get you in the holiday mood? Here’s one to add to your list. It has a little bit of everything...romance, a slight bit of mystery, humor, and the wonderful ambience of the South (Charleston, SC). The story centers around Macy, one of three friends/partners who own a matchmaking agency called Two Love Lane. As she meets Deacon (from NY), she struggles with a conflict of interest issue as she falls for a client as well as some personal trust issues as well. Deacon has his own evolution as he struggles to maintain his devil-may-care attitude toward dating/women as he rapidly loses his heart to our heroine.
While the story was cute and charming at times, there were a few instances of some juvenile behavior (on both sides) that didn’t ring true for me considering the ages of the H/h (late 20s, early 30s). And for me personally, I prefer my Christmas love stories to be more old-school in their approach to dating and falling in love. However there was growth here in both characters and ultimately a satisfying HEA. 3.5/5

Good storyline with very likeable and relatable characters that kept my interest from the very first page!

I was asked to read this story in exchange for an honest review. There were parts of this story that I loved and parts I didn't. Overall, it was a fun story and I enjoyed the characters, but at times it felt like I was reading in circles. I loved how the story took place in Charleston, SC. The author's descriptions were dead on. It made me feel like I was actually there.
The lead heroine, Macy Frost is a descendant of THE Cupid and owns a matchmaking company with her two best friends Ella and Greer. The hero is Deacon Banks, a wealthy man from New York City, NY, whose Aunt Fran, who raised him, just moved in next door to Macy. Deacon is looking for Macy to set him up on dates for the next month while he is here with his aunt, as a Christmas present for her....he is not looking for anything serious. Macy reluctantly agrees as long as she can also try to find his one true love. Since Deacon doesn't believe in love he agrees.
I really liked both of the characters. They each had their own reluctance to love and it was fun watching them both fall hard. I just adored Aunt Fran and her houseman, George. They were a hoot! Overall it was a sweet, Christmas story with a little sexy time thrown in.
Christmas at Two Love Lane by Kieran Kramer
Cute contemporary holiday romance. First in a series. A matchmaker finds more in common with the client than she’s comfortable with. Or rather, that’s the problem. She is too comfortable with him to match him up with anyone else.
This story is also about the friendships that the women have with each other and their unlimited support. I though it was great they talked openly to each other and shared their lives.
I loved Macy’s cheer. The holidays help, but in general she is a happy person. That is so refreshing. People like her. That’s sweet. What I didn’t get was her lack of understanding that her friends wanted the best for HER. That she thought of it as betrayal was sad.
It is a romance, so without spoilers, all ends well.
Excerpt:
“Deacon woke up starving. His first coherent thought was Breakfast at Macy’s. But he wasn’t thinking about toast or eggs, or bagels and coffee. Even as his stomach growled, his imagination lingered on the curve of Macy’s cheek, the spark in her eye, the way she laughed.
He couldn’t wait for breakfast because he liked her. She was a cake baker, a matchmaker, and a society girl who didn’t seem to notice she was cut from a different spectacular cloth. She was a wild thing. He saw it in her eyes—a barefoot girl who marched to her own drummer. And he wanted to get to know her better.
Way better.”

3.5 Stars Christmas at Two Love Lane is the first book I have read by Kieran Kramer. This is a sweet romance, although a little slow in part an overall good read and a promising start to an enjoyable series if that the way the author chooses to go. I would like to read more of this author and would recommend this to readers of this genre
The premise of this story is that if a young matchmaker that prides herself on doing a great job & the idea that there is a Match out there for everyone. Macy Frost loves her job & won't allow anything to interfere with it. Then she meets her new client. Deacon Banks doesn't want to find his match. He just wants Macy to set him up with suitable women so his aunt thinks he's looking to settle down. He didn't anticipate the chemistry he'd feel with Macy.
This book really relies on its ability to get the reader to connect with the characters. The buildup seems to take a while to get going & is set at a slow pace. The only "fight" is that of Macy trying to deal with her own morals & objections to falling for her client. There were some other interactions that could be a source of drama but they never really seem to get going. The character development & descriptive narrative are very good. Overall, I'd say this is a good enjoyable story worth 3.5 stars.

"Christmas At Two Love Lane" by Kieran Kramer
My Thoughts...
This was a good lovely seasonal/holiday romantic read that even had little bit of comedy in it. I loved the Charleston setting for this read that this author brought out so very well. The two main characters well just let me say were 'phenomenal.' Definitely matchmaker Macy really meets her match when introduced to that bachelor Deacon. With Macy being in the business of matchmaking will Deacon find the date that will make his Aunt happy? Will it take the whole town to help Macy see that she too was capable to being loved?
The author really works the story is presented with so much 'drama, humor, spice, touching, flirting and let's not leave out all of this seasonal holiday happening' along with a wonderful dialogue that will keep one turning the pages to see what will happen next. So, if you are looking for a good holiday read I would definitely recommend this one to you.
This one just wasn't my cup of tea. It's a very laid back slow paced story much like the city of Charleston where the story takes place. The writing is very good and the story had promise but the pace was just too slow to keep my interest. Others will probably enjoy this one, it simply didn't fit my taste.
''Christmas at Two Love Lane' by Kieran Kramer is the Story of Deacon Banks and Macy Frost.

A southern Christmas love story between a professional matchmaker and a reluctant client. The matchmaker believes she is a direct descent of Cupid. Along with watching the love grow between Macy and Deacon, there are other love stories growing and Christmas generosity of Toys for Tots, and random act of kindness to a stranger.

I loved this book! It is a light Christmas read that lets you escape from life for a while.
Stubbornly single Southern belle Macy Frost co-owns Two Love Lane, the premier matchmaking agency in Charleston. She is all about finding true love for everyone else, even sworn bachelor Deacon Banks. Deacon only enlists Macy's services to get his famous aunt Fran, who's obsessed with all things Southern, to stop pestering him about finding his own Scarlett O'Hara during his holiday stay in Charleston. Against her better judgment, Macy has a jingle-bell fling with the all-too-willing Deacon.
This was an OK read for me, I found the plot very slow & at times found myself skimming through. I didn’t warm to Macy at all, giggly women just annoy me. I did however really like Fran, Deacon's Aunt, who stole every scene she was in, and she was in quite a lot of them and George, her House Boy/Manservant loved him – they saved the book for me.
This is an ok read set in my favorite city, Charleston. I have never read this author and probably will not seek out future books by her.
This was a cute story. Started out fun and cute but then it took way too long for Macy and Deacon to admit their feelings for one another. When you think they'd finally get together and worked things out they took two step backs again. It was kind of frustrating because they were perfect for each other but they couldn't see it themselves. And for those who like their sex behind closed doors in their romance reads, no worries here. No explicit sex scenes in this book. Overall a very nice story.

I love Christmas & I'm always excited to read stories set around this season. Unfortunately I just couldn't get into this book, I found myself skipping pages & the story didn't keep my interest.
