This isn't especially Christmas-y but it's a fun little romance set in Charleston. Kramer makes the most of the small town atmosphere of the city as Macy and Deacon go around town. Macy's supposed to be finding Deacon some dates to satisfy his aunt but whoops! the two of them begin to fall in love. Deacon is a fish out of water - he's a tech entrepreneur from New York. It's funny how these geographic differences persist in the age of the Internet but they do. There are some terrific characters here, including Macy's partners Greer, Ella, and Miss Thing. Thanks to Netgalley for there ARC. This is a pleasant easy read that you'll like for the plot, as well as the snappy dialogue.
Funny and captivating. Wonderful characters you don't want to miss. A great Christmas read.
A cute flirty couple falling in love despite themselves in beautiful Christmas Charleston. Thanks to Kieran Kramer for another laugh-out-loud, blink-back-a -few-tears winner. Kramer does friendships as well as anyone in the business, and I can’t wait to read what happens to the rest of the Two Love Lane women. I'm really looking forward to "A Wedding at Two Love Lane"!
Publisher's Description:
The best gift of all is the one you share with someone else. . .
From the moment he strode through the iron gate and into the offices of Two Love Lane on a crisp December day, it was obvious that Deacon Banks was something different. He wasn’t a Charleston native, not with that adorable Yankee accent. And unlike the usual client at the elegant matchmaking agency, he had no interest in finding a woman to marry—just a few no-strings dates while he was in town.
Macy Frost takes her professional services very seriously—how could she not, when she’s rumored to be a direct descendant of Cupid? Tech entrepreneur Deacon says he’s just trying to make his social-climbing aunt happy by being seen out and about with a few prominent beauties, but Macy insists she can make her client fall in love…for real. And Deacon can’t help but think she might be right. As charming as the palmetto trees and magnificent harbor may be, it’s the beautiful, breath-of-fresh-air Macy who’s become Deacon’s favorite part of the scenery. But can the hopelessly romantic Southern belle stop trying to fix him up and just let Cupid do his work on her own heart?
My Thoughts:
Situated in a beloved South Carolina locale, this fun Christmas Romance is not to be missed. With quirky characters and an abundance of sensual dialogue Kieran Kramer has written a holiday romance for the keeper shelf.
This poignant, sexy and fun book is well written bringing the reader to both laughter and tears.
Deacon and Macy are the perfect blend of southern charm and Yankee ingenuity.
Deacon wants no part of marriage and Macy is the ultimate matchmaker with a mission to make certain all of her clients get their happily ever after. If that means she may never get one of her own, then so be it.
Is Deacon the man to change that for Macy? Will there be a touch of Christmas magic for this unlikely pair?
I don't read much contemporary romance but this book was well worth deviating from my usual historical romance titles.
I gave this quirky read 4.75 of 5.0 stars for storyline and character development and a sensual rating of 3 of 5 flames.
I received a complimentary digital ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley to read. This in no way affected my opinion of this book which I have read and reviewed voluntarily.
I was intrigued by the premise of this book. You've got a Southern matchmaker, Macy Frost, meeting a Northerner who just wants to have fun, Deacon Banks. Macy takes her matchmaking role very seriously. How could she not? She comes from a family of matchmakers who may or may not be descended from Cupid himself.
Deacon Banks is a confident tech entrepreneur (isn't that nice and vague?) who just wants to make his aunt happy this Christmas season by appearing to be searching for his true love. As long as the women know what the score is, why would it be a problem? Except that Macy seems to want him to concentrate on true love and Deacon's wondering why he can't be matched to the matchmaker.
I thought I knew Kramer's name and at the end of story, I finally remembered why. I have tried at least a couple of her books before but there is something about her writing that I just do not connect to. Not her fault or mine, it's just not a good match. I really liked the idea of this book and I think her regular readers will be more than satisfied.
Three stars
This book comes out October 3
Christmas at Two Love Lane by Kieran Kramer is excellent. I sure do hope there will be other books with these characters in this setting! I loved Macy and Deacon, and I did not want their story to end. It is such a fun, interesting, and fulfilling novel. Excellent work!

When I first started this book I thought I was going to love it. Charleston is one of my favourite cities in the world and the characters seemed interesting. But as the book progressed I found myself wanting to skim ahead b/c I was bored. I felt like the book was too long and I wanted to smack the main character several times. I never connected to any of the characters (except maybe the corgis).
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the copy.
Christmas at Two Love Lane by Kiernan Kramer was a fun holiday read for me. The characters are all likable and interesting and the dialogue was fun. The main characters Macy Frost and Deacon Banks were attracted to each other form the first time they met each other but their HEA came after some ups and downs in their relationship. Thank goodness the secondary characters were there to help this couple realize they were meant for each other.
One thing I really liked about this story was that it had all the elements of a good Christmas story, friends, family and love. These all make for a feel-good story. I’m sure other readers will come away with the same feeling of Christmas cheer after reading this story as I did.
Macy Frost believed in the tale told by one of her predecessors: the Frost were direct descendants of Cupid. So the family business, the marriage agency, was a resounding success. Macy had already helped several couples to meet and live their "happily ever after".
So when the handsome businessman Deacon Banks appears in town looking only for beautiful companies, Macy finds it challenging to make him fall in love.
More so when she learns why he's in town: his only family, his aunt, a famous TV show anchor, had moved to the city and he wanted to impress her as he helped her into society.
Macy would work hard, would introduce to Deacon the best candidates, but she did forget that when dealing with the heart, it is better to keep your own well protected.
A sexy romantic comedy with Christmas lights and an end to make you sigh.

First I would like to say this is a gorgeous cover! And although I never read Romance books, I thought of this more as a Christmas book. I even lit a pine candle to get in the mood.
Macy and her friends, Greer, Ella and Miss Thing, are running a successful matchmaking service in Charleston.
Deacon Banks has followed his famous Aunt Fran to Charleston for a month and has promised her he will at least date some potential love interests while he is there, he falls hard for Macy the moment he sees her.
How could you not fall in love in Charleston at Christmas time? Well, Macy is trying awfully hard not to do that.
The descriptions of Charleston were wonderful as was the food and traditions. Even I was not immune to the charm of Macy and her lovable cast mates!
A holiday book I would highly recommend! And there's Coconut Cake Y'all!

I enjoyed reading this novel and look forward to the next book in this series. The characters were really fun to read about and I love that it is centered around Christmas.
This book was a “sweet and clean” read – there was no on-screen sex and minimal cursing (no f-bombs). Although this is book one of a series, it completely stands alone and comes to a sweet, sigh-worthy conclusion.
First and foremost – this is one of the prettiest covers that I have seen in a very long time – it was the main reason that I was drawn to this book. That said, the book itself was good, also. I really enjoyed the sweetness and the humor in this book. There was both subtle and overt humor, which made the slower parts of the book a bit easier to get through. Macy and Deacon were very likable for the most part. I struggled with Macy from time to time, but I thought she developed into someone who I really wound up liking. Deacon was a really good guy who I really liked from the start. His devotion to and love of his aunt (and her corgis) made me smile. If you enjoy banter in your books, you will probably enjoy this one because it was full of banter and wit.
The only things I didn't like about the book were the constant, incredibly obnoxious references to Hollywood stars – that is one thing that drives me crazy in a book and this one was over-loaded with them. It's annoying enough when characters are lazily described as “looking like George Clooney” but there were literally dozens of references that added absolutely nothing to this book or my liking of Aunt Fran. The other thing that drove me crazy was the over-use of the word piazza (42 times according to my Kindle's search feature). If I never have to read the word “piazza” in a book again, I will die a happy reader. If you enjoy playing drinking games when you read, read this one and take a shot every time the word “piazza” comes up. You'll be hammered in no time.
If you're looking for a quick, easy read, this is not that. If you enjoy a book with some length that will make you laugh, you should give this one a read.
I requested and was very generously granted an ARC of this book. I was under no obligation to write this review, I did so because I enjoyed the story.
Romantic comedy at its finest!
This was such a lovely read, featuring a smitten hero, with an endearing yet useless resistance to acknowledge his own feelings for the heroine. Deacon is a delicious, dimpled hero; I appreciated having access to the way he thinks (there’s alternate point of view).
I loved the characters but, most of all, I loved the play of feelings and emotions, the innuendos and subtleties, the delightful flirting, the great dialogue. I found myself laughing while reading, and was totally engrossed with the story.
The sex scenes are scarce, instead there’s lots of holding hands, touching, small and big gestures of tenderness; and kindness – not only between the main characters but involving all characters.
I’ve also loved the setting, Charleston, and the contrast Charleston/New York.
Cute Southern charmer. Very slow moving Christmas time love story.
Sweet characters. Interesting look at Charlestons high society.
Christmas at Two Love Lane is a heartwarming romance set in my favorite southern city, so, yes, I enjoyed this book. Especially when you add in a feisty New York talk show host, her irresistible (aka smart, handsome, rich, thoughtful) nephew and the independent matchmaker for whom he falls. Yes, the story is somewhat predictable, but that is not always a bad thing.
I normally prefer romantic suspense, cozy mysteries and urban fantasy novels. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly I was engrossed in this book. The characters were well-developed and the plotline interesting. I'm hoping to read more by this author, hoping for more stories about Two Love Lane. I was given a digital copy of this book by NetGalley in return for an honest review. I want to thank them for introducing me to a new author, who I will enjoy reading in the future.
This was an alright read for.me. The characters where okay and I did enjoy them together however it felt very slow paced to me. Also for a book that is marketed as a Christmas book I felt like it was severely lacking on the Christmas.
I am really sorry this was not for me. I just could not get into the story
I went into this book with so much excitement. It's a Holiday book! It's by Kieran Kramer! Unfortunately, it just wasn't for me.
The Good, The Bad, and Everything Else: The setting of Charleston is charming but the pace and the setting of the story makes this feel like a small town story. With Charleston being well over 100k people this felt a bit off for me even though I did like it. I love small town romances. I also liked some of the secondary cast of characters. Fran, Deacon's Aunt, was an interesting woman who stole the scenes she was in, and she was in quite a lot of them and George, her HouseBoy/Manservant, was a hoot . Unfortunately, I never really warmed up to Macy, or even her partners, Greer, Ella, and Miss Thing, or really many of the characters. There was very little background on them and very little divulged during the course of the book. What I got from Macy was she was perfect. She giggled. She was a professional (although the last thing wasn't demonstrated but repeated by Macy herself.) Her only imperfection is that she can't seem to let herself fall in love. She's a matchmaker who doesn't believe she can find her true love.
Anyway, I had a hard time getting into this book. It could have been the pacing, which seemed really slow. Or it could be everything was just so sweet. There wasn't any actual conflict. I don't consider Macy's wishy washy woe is me I can't fall in love ways conflict. I missed this aspect and felt the book suffered a bit without it. In addition, there were a couple sex scenes but they all began on page and finished off page. Very little details were included and I actually prefer a little more sizzle in my books.
In a Nutshell: Even though I really adore Kieran Kramer's historical romances I wasn't blown away by this Contemporary Romance and barely even liked it. Even though this book wasn't for me those who like just plain sweet CRs with a low heat levels might enjoy this.

This book is perfect for the Christmas season and would make a perfect gift It reminds up that love is worth fighting for no matter your age or what your past is like. Everybody deserves to be with their soul mate. The Southern flair in this book is charming, loved the brief history pieces as well. This story-line also reminded me that money cant buy everything. In life we need to take chances they are what make us stronger.
