This book is not what I expected. The description says the book "presents a series of focused meditations" so I expected meditations that cyclists could follow while cycling. The book is actually a series of short chapters describing different parts of cycling. I found it to be boring and unhelpful.
This is a nicely composed beginners guide to mindfulness. I like how Ford explains being mindful without getting caught up in wordy terminology that I see so often in books of this genre.
What is unique about this book is that it is carefully constructed to cyclists and what they endure. Ford uses things like Ascending and Descending which cyclists do automatically and puts a zen twist to it forcing the cyclist to be more mindful in their actions and journey.
