This was a decent story and I somewhat enjoyed both the hero and the heroine, Gibson and Mia. However, nothing really stood out making it a great book.
Mia Porter came home to Boston to recover, but her military reflexes kick in when a fellow jaguar is gunned down only inches away. Getting the handsome stranger to safety and removing the bullets is the easy part...discovering she’s saved a member of the very family hers has been at war with for half a century makes things tricky. Nor is she pleased her cat finds his to be quite an attractive specimen. Gibson de La Vega, Bringer of Justice, enforces his Alpha’s law and defends de La Vega territory against all. But even he’s not immune to silver bullets. That Gibson feels the same burning desire for Mia only complicates matters. Negotiating an end to an epic familial feud is nothing compared to the violence sparked by the attack on Gibson. As heat and need build between them, Mia and Gibson will fight together to protect their families from a danger far closer to home than anyone expects.
This was a pretty good story. I liked Mia and Gibson a lot and enjoyed following in their battle. I hadn’t read the other two stories in the trilogy but it was still enjoyable. I plan on now going back and reading what I’ve missed! I look forward to reading more from this author.

This was a really entertaining book. It was the third in the series and several references were made to previous events, however I was able to piece together the relevant information without any trouble. I really enjoyed the characters and the plot which was fast moving but touched on several deeper themes with sensitivity.
It seemed like there was one unmated De La Vega left in the youngest brother, and although it’s been a few years since the stories were originally written it would be lovely to revisit these characters!
Recommended.

I cannot get enough of Ms. Dane's shifters! I devoured Beneath the Sun in one sitting. I was immediately entranced by the romance between Mia and Gibson. Mia brought out all the best pieces of Gibson--his protective nature, his gruff and grumbliness, his love of his pack, and whoa, the sexiness. Mia was kick-ass in her own right--even though she was still recovering from a near-death attack. I loved how she loved Gibson, but didn't lose her own self in the process., and even stood up for her love to her family. Mia and Gibson were a perfect match and I wish there were more books in this wonderful De la Vega cats series!
I actually thought that this was pretty good! I was unaware that I was coming into this two books late, but oh well! I’ve never read about cat shifters before so this was a new change of pace.
Mia was a cool heroine, she could kick ass and Gibson was just as great. The sex scenes were steamy and overall I thought it was an enjoyable and sexy read.
I voluntarily read an advanced reviewers copy of this book
I loved Mia's character she was fun, brave, selfless and had a lot of spunk. I loved that she was not afraid to step up when others would have run the other direction. I also really liked Gibson. He was the perfect counterpart for her because he was so strong that he was not intimidated by all that she had to offer but embraced it.
Overall I thought this book was really good.
A satisfying end to this trilogy. Gibson is one of the brothers who I liked. As the Bringer (what a sexy title) he brings justice. When he's targeted, he's pissed. When an innocent woman is dragged into this mess and she's being shot at, he's furious. Then he imprints on her and the wrath of angry alpha jaguar is going to destroy these puny aggressors. That's basically the story in a nutshell.
The sex is good. It's a bit rougher vanilla so it kept my attention a little. Mia the spitfire female jaguar is pretty cool. Her set back from several unprovoked attacks was disheartening. Still, she can kick butt and that's all that matters.
What I learned from this story is that cowards can be inept at planning and stupid in their aggressions. If you're going to take out a powerful rival, do your homework and have contingencies. Gibson easily rips this jokers apart because they are idiots. Now that's not to say I'm rooting for the idiots. I'm disgusted with their lazy hateful asses. They got what they deserved. It would be nice to read more about the other siblings in the de la Vega cats but I don't think Ms. Dane is returning to this world. What a shame. Because the baby brother is quiet one and you know what they say about the quiet ones... they are kinky buggers.
Once again the de La Vega Cats give readers some serious red hot romance with action and suspense.
Neither Mia nor Gibson suspected that Mia saving Gibson’s life would lead to something special, so the relationship between begins with a dramatic event and slowly builds into their happily ever after as they get to know each other. But you know romance is one thing and chemistry is something else altogether different and this couple has some sizzling chemistry from the first sight. The characters are well written and the readers just fall into their story from the get go making this an easy to read but impossible to put down book.
The de La Vegas once again find themselves facing hatemongers and an enemy that they didn’t see coming as the suspense and action keeps readers on the edge of their seat. There is also a tense situation that stems from the past which complicates Mia and Gibson’s growing relationship which adds a bit of drama to the story as well as adding depth to the characters as a group.
Again, Lauren Dane has provided a well written story that never has a dull moment and characters that I couldn’t help but fall in love with and I can’t wait to find out what she has in store for us next.
Loved it! I especially loved the super strong heroine. She's fought in wars for her country, battled for her life against cowards who ambushed her and is willing to stand side by side with her man in the ring. She's just what the enforcer ordered.
I received an ARC of this book, from the publisher, via NetGalley, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I absolutely loved this book. It’s funny, very sexy, and a little suspenseful. Mia was an airplane pilot for the Air Force. She’s a jaguar shifter and was almost killed several months ago when she was attacked by shifter haters. She is tough, sassy, and takes no crap from anyone. She returns to her family in Boston and finds a man shot on the street. Gibson is the Bringer of his jamboree, he is like the police for the jaguars. He’s a total bad boy and Mia saves him when he’s shot with silver. Then someone comes in to her family’s wine store and shoots her in the leg. When she is attacked on a jogging trail, Gibson has her stay with him. He has never felt this way about a woman and the sex is out of this world. There was some bad blood between the families but they don’t let that stop them. They’re not sure if the people are after her or Gibson. But he’ll do anything to keep her safe as will she
Another fabulous paranormal romance. I adore Mia and love her gradual falling for Gibson. Great chemistry.
When Gibson, one of the de La Vega brothers, is shot after a mysterious group of jaguars come to de la Vega territory, Mia Porter steps in to rescue him. Problem is, the Porters and de La Vegas are technically enemies, and their attraction to each other is unexpected and unwelcome. But Mia’s family history isn’t the only bit of ancient pack history that’s been drug back into the open...
I really enjoyed the Romeo and Juliet vibe, though most of the opposition to the match came from Mia’s family (and with good reason). I had mixed feelings about the previous books in this trilogy. While I enjoy reading alpha heroes, there comes a point where they verge into alpha a*-hole territory, and I felt like Galen/Jack and Max crossed that line too frequently in regards to their mates. On the other hand, Mia is a veteran with two combat tours under her belt, and the survivor of an assault that left her in a coma and with permanent damage. While Gibson still has the same protective instincts towards her, I think Mia does a better job at pushing back when he’s being unreasonable, and Gibson seems to accept that easier. I especially liked how Mia knew how to poke Gibson into expressing his feelings for her.
My main beef with the story? The villains are dumb. Like, seriously verging on too stupid to live territory. There’s an in-story reason given for it, which I think partially helped, but I still had my eyebrows raised at the clumsiness of their plans.
I felt like this was a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy. I don’t believe that Ms. Dane has plans for more books in the series, but I do wish I could read Armando’s book!
The de La Vega brothers strike again, and this is the novel of the Bringer and Max, former soldier and real badass woman. I liked this couple a lot and I'm also wondering how all the Cascadia Wolf series and this one are going to end because now there is a lot to put up with and I would love to think that the end is near.....
THANKS TO NETGALLEY FOR THE PREVIEW!
A good ending to a series, I liked this one because its not ménage.
I enjoyed the characters, Mia and Gibson.
I like that Gibson is a protective, alpha and he and Mia are such a believable couple.
I read this a little whiles ago, and I honestly thought I was getting a brand new story, but I am happy with re reading and revisting a world that I really enjoyed, plus the authors writing is always on point!

A reworking of an earlier series, this is book three.
I hadn't read first two books, and they're not on netgalley or available to buy, and that's a shame as it would have helped the story a bit. There are characters and events from those that crop up here, and would have made understanding motives etc easier.
There are terms too - The Bringer, and the Jambouree - that I kind of worked out as I went along, but which would have been good to know early on exactly what they were.
Anyway, its a pretty fast flowing story, succinct and yet packed with action. I loved Mia, a strong lady, she's no Baby to be tucked in a corner....and she's a perfect foil for Gibson, tough guy, charged with overseeing justice for the pack.
He's a real ladies man, but he's also a true gentleman. He's secure enough in his own skills to enjoy Mia's strength, knows he wants to protect her but has to let her do so much for herself. Its who she is, and he has to let her be that person if they are to be happy together.
I enjoyed meeting the rest of the family, seeing how the Cats all connected, and working out what was going on, who the bad guys were. Its not a brain taxing thriller, but a fun and sexy suspense, and a perfect HEA sensual read.
I have to finish with a bit that made me snort. On my review blog i have a post called bad sex terms - and this has to go in, it's perfect. "he nudged at her gate, pushing in very slowly. thick and meaty he filled her up....." WTF? Her gate? Thick and meaty?? Oh that had me sniggering like a twelve year old....
Stars: five, bad sex terms aside ;-) its a fun short, a sexy and sensual quick escape into the supernatural world.
