This was phenomenal! Great story, exciting fast paced and romantic. Great dialogue wonderful characters and a
Happy ending that was over the top fantastic.
4 stars.
I really adored this book. About the first 75% of the book reads like a rom-com and then the last 25% changed it up a little squeezing in some serious angst. It finished with a very sweet epilogue.
I can't lie, I really loved the first half of this book the most. Mainly because I loved how Gabe and Ava met and also all the insults and witty banter between them as they initially got to know each other. It was just so very entertaining. I especially loved that Ava had a pygmy goat called Gucci as a pet. He was so cute and such a great addition to this story that now I think I want one also (probably not going to happen in reality).
Gabe was so very cocky, broody and arrogant, but in a way that you couldn't help being drawn to him and Ava was so sweet and kind with a touch of quirkiness that I just really loved her character.
This was a great follow up to Wardrobe Malfunction which I also adored.
Samantha Towle is just such a talented writer and I really do like this more romantic comedy style by her as well as her more contemporary romances like The Mighty Storm (one of my favorite books ever).

Well! From the very first page I was laughing out loud, I mean proper laughing to myself, and it just continued throughout the first few chapters. Gabe and Ava are just hilarious together, add into the mix a Pygmy goat called Gucci, yes that's right, Gucci, and my cheeks were physically hurting from all the smiling. I love dual POV playboy turned saviour stories so this definitely worked for me. Gabe was sexy, funny, sweet and a super hot alpha with quite a lot of a$$hole in the mix, my favourite type of book boyfriend. Ava was strong, cute, hilariously funny and she didn't take any cr@p, so she definitely got my vote. Oh, and the chemistry between these two was off the charts hot, just saying. Not only was the story laugh out loud funny there were some truly emotional moments along with some added angst I did not see coming. Overall a sweet, funny and completely addictive read. I loved it. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Breaking Hollywood is a follow up to Wardrobe malfunction, but it is a standalone so don't worry if you haven't read the previous story, but I bet you'll want to rush and read that as well after this great story.
Gabe Evans is a hot, top Hollywood actor, after losing her job, boyfriend and apartment Ava accidentally runs over and breaks Gabe's foot when driving out of her parking space in tears.
So begins a relationship that is hilarious, hot and absolutely wonderful. This book has the ability to make you laugh out loud, hyperventilate (taking so many deep breaths) and have your heart racing/breaking at the same time.
A fabulous tale where love and humour shines through, and as for the epilogue.....Astro......you'll know what I mean after reading this stunner.
My thanks to net galley and publisher for opportunity to review this book.

Well, I loved the Storm reads, loved the Alexandra Jones ones too - years back when I read them, but like other readers pretty annoyed that series never finished. Its a real pet hate of mine that.
So I know I enjoy Samantha's writing style, but this book didn't quite hit the spot :-(
I guess that "hilarious" tag should have warned me. I've found in the past that's usually humour that feels forced, and that's exactly what I found here. At first I did find their banter funny, but it got old pretty quick, and at times felt like two teens were joking around not two adults.
I was disappointed too that almost all the book seems to take place in his apartment, and though he's a Hollywood star he seems to be able to go out incognito pretty easily, and there wasn't any actual film connection other than them spending a couple of pages talking about his past films and reading a script.
He could have been anyone, there wasn't anything of the film world included and for me that was a big lack.
The romance was cute, I did feel some serious Lust between them but Love? I'm not sure about that. Whatever they feel Gabe falls at the first hurdle though, and even though the evidence looks solid he didn't even question it internally, just waded in with blame. #Fail, Gabe!
There's an event that makes this part clear to see coming from a long way off, and if it had been a bit more protracted then I could have got past that. However when the sh it hits the fan it blows over very quickly, and Ava just knuckles under and comes back. Gah, he was Awful to her, I wanted her to make him work a bit more, not just accept his apologies.
The pygmy goat....well, I'm keeping quiet on that except to say goats are Spawn of the Devil, I grew up with them, and Pygmies are no different ;-) They eat everything except what they should, smell atrocious - even the females ( though I don't know what sex Gucci is it wears pink so I guess female), and how the heck she house-trained one that's only 4 months old... a dog, cat, even a rabbit would have been a better choice, goats don't belong in flats.
Its a decent read, if you like forced humour then you'll probably love it. I've read other books where the humour has spoiled the story for me, but where its made it a five star read for other people. Thankfully we all have different tastes so this could be just what you want, it isn't great for me though.
Stars: three, an OK read, but not the story I was hoping for.

Sorry but I couldn't even finish the first chapter. Both characters were damn annoying. When I read the blurb I was excited about the storyline....yet it failed miserably. I might eventually go back and skim through it but just trying to read chapter one was killing me. A huge disappointment as Samantha Towle is said to be amazing. I will give her another go...one day
