This one is second chance love story. A truly emotional heartbreaking story. Claire and Rayn had a turbulent past but faith connect them yet again. After 6 years they have reconnected again both grown up and more mature. But what Rayn doesn't know that he has a daughter and although there are obligations that wait for him back home something is holding him back. So will he stay or go? Both Claire and Rayn are well developed and likable we see through the story how much they are changed through the years and what led them to what they are now. I liked the end and Eddie is the one who surprised me big time.

This is a rock romance which is all about second chances. Claire was with Ryan from the very beginning of his music career but as time went on Ryan’s notoriety gained and along with it some of the demons that come with this rise to rock stardom. It wasn’t long that Ryan had no other choice than to go to rehab. His drinking lost him his career which was on the rise and most importantly, Claire. Just before Claire left Ryan she had told him something very important but Ryan was in one of his drunken stupors again and doesn’t remember a thing with Claire said.

Five years later and Ryan’s career is beginning to take off again and he takes a side track to a small town and sees someone in the audience that looks very familiar to him. Secrets, trust, and a few surprises is what comes to the forefront of Ryan and Claire’s reunion. You have to read to find out all the things that went in to making this a book which was hard to put down and gives you a very heartwarming HEA.

I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley for a freely given and honest review.

Claire and Ryan have a history, he is the father of her daughter. Tired of Ryan's drunkenness and broken promises, Claire left him when she found out she was pregnant, but not without informing him. But Ryan was so drunk that he doesn't even remember Claire telling him she's pregnant. Now almost 6 years later they meet again and the chemistry is as strong as ever, and when he learns of his daughter, he can't stay away. Though Ryan has changed, will Claire be able to trust him enough to let him in her and her daughters life ?
This was a sweet second chance romance with a lot of emotion. I have been looking forward to Claire's story since I read about her in the previous books and Ms Brooks doesn't disappoint. I enjoyed Claire and Ryan's journey to HEA and the sizzling chemistry added the perfect touch.

Holy hell, what a fantastic book! This is my favorite of the series thus far! I ate this book! I didn't put it down and definitely kept my mind off post hurricane Irma woes. This is an absolute must read.

This book we meet Claire and Ryan. The depth of these two characters was so amazing and Rebecca's writing was so vivid you can clearly see the place in Washington that Claire lived. The last place Ryan would think to see her. The last place she'd imagine Ryan to show up. The place where her life and his would change in a most interesting way. The range of emotions in this story took me on the ride of my life.

Claire and Ryan have history and then some. Claire was in college and Ryan's band just taking off, he jumped in with both feet; his poison of choice was alcohol. Too many promises broken, too much time alone, too much everything and when Claire discovered she was pregnant, his response was to leave a drink some more. She leaves him there. What happens during this time was eye opening.
I'm not spoiling a thing with this one, you have to read it yourself. It's about two people who loved each other hard and then one fell apart. Ryan has to earn his way back into her life, just as his second chance in music is also happening. Are there choices and decisions to be made? You bet. Gotta read the book.

This book made me excited to read again. That's the honest truth. Yes, it was that good. Grab this one and allow yourself to sink right into this story and feel it. It's Rebecca at her best.

This was an enjoyable story. It looks like its #3 in a series and its my first time reading the series and the author. This is abour Claire who is a single mother, a college drop out and a masseuse in the mountains of Seattle.

Her ex and baby daddy is Ryan, a former alcoholic , bad boy and trying to make it the 2nd time rock star. In this story he learns he is a father. He was told before but blacked out and forgot. He is actually good guy and he truly loves/loved Claire. This is his story of trying to prove to Claire to give him a 2nd chance.

I loved the story. It was written with enjoyable characters. I would have liked to see the child as more of the story nd in a lot more scenes but this was a very HOT story and so she had to be away for all the sex scenes in this story. I really enjoyed the story if you like hot story.

Let me start by saying that this is the fourth book in the series but the first one I've read, so yes it can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed this story a lot; the characters were great, the storyline was great and the story flow was perfect. This book gives us Claire and Ryan's story and it's the classic case of young, dumb, making mistakes but learning from them. However, we all slip from time to time because no one is perfect and mistakes happen. I was rooting for Ryan throughout the whole story up until the bar scene, but again no ones perfect including Claire. This is a sweet second chance romance read that I would recommend. The ending was wrapped up very nicely. Distance and/or time gaps doesn't kill love, especially if its deep within your heart and soul and with these characters it is and that made this story such a great read.

I loved this book. It made me laugh and it did make me tear up a little not gonna lie. The story of Claire and Ryan is a story full of things that happened in the past and follows them into the present. The surprise of their meeting is one that will change everything as they know it. The chemistry between Ryan and Claire is sexy and very emotional. Thank you NetGalley and Rebecca Brooks for allowing me to read this ARC and write a honest review.

What an amazing book. I loved Make me yours, I was hooked and couldn't put it down. Claire is the sensible good girl and Ryan is the bad boy rocker. The chemistry and sexual tension between Claire and Ryan is smoking hot. Ryan is part of a past that Claire is trying to forget. Ryan is a changed man and is ready to be everything that Claire needs. Ryan is shocked when he finds out he has fathered Claires daughter. Can Claire trust and love Ryan while he is learning to be a daddy to there daughter. Was gifted an advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review. Will be reading more by this author.

While I enjoyed, Make Me Yours. There were times that I thought Claire was going to have to lower her standards in order for things to work out between herself and Ryan. Then he says or does something that made me sigh. Just shows that everyone screws up now again. Some just do it more often and on a grander scale.

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre:  Romance

A fun read, I hadn't read the earlier novels but each are stand alone and I don't think it would have made a great deal of difference, i was certainly able to get to grips with the story easily.

I liked Claire, loved little Maya, and really felt for her. she had been stupid when it came to Ryan, but when you're young and in love we do act in stupid ways. when the chips were down though she pulled herself up and used her strength to build a good life for her and her daughter.
Ryan, in a world where everyone smokes, drinks and does drugs its hard not to give in to one of them, and like so many he just doesn't realise or recognise he's an addict until its too late, Claire has gone. he doesn't know why or where and when after five years he sees her at a small venue he's not letting her go. there's a huge shock in store for him though...
She's determine to stand strong but the attraction between them is still there, steamingly sensual. She still holds a bit of herself back though even when she's given in to that. He seems changed, but is he? well, Ryan is determined to prove he is....until the ultimate test.

Its a sweet story, some serious heat, well written and fitting the story. Its very real in many way, parents do have to be "on" 24/7 but inevitably mistakes happen.
There's a point in this book where something is pointed out - and i just knew what was going to result. I would have liked a bit more surprise, that felt a little too predictable but it worked well to move things along, and there's a beautiful ending to this.

Stars: four, its a neat romance, sexy and fun but no deep dramas or real heartache.

This is the fourth in series of Gold mountain. This was Claire's book, with her ex- Ryan. Claire was pregnant with Maya, when she left Ryan because he could not get his act together. Ryan was so drunk that he could not remember that she told him that she was pregnant, so five years later he was shocked. Ryan is now sober, and he wants to meet his child, at least one time and then go back to his life of being a rock star. Claire does not want him to meet Maya because she will get confused, and Claire does not want to get heartbroken again, well that part last a whole minute, because she gave in to him pretty quickly. She does give Ryan a chance, and he screws up drastically, and I wholeheartedly agree with Claire, Ryan was irresponsible with Maya. She does end up forgiving him, and they have there HEA.. It was great reading about the crew.. My favorite couple is still Mack and Cole.

The idea was clever. They were a couple for a while, he is drinking and they split. She is pregnant and she ends up bringing up the child alone for 5 years.
I don't want to give away the plot too much to explain how they both excuse the lost time between father and child but it is a good original reason.
The issue I have is the meet up, by accident so agree to have a chat and they sleep together. After everything she has been through I wanted her to have more backbone, at the same time she hasn't been involved with anyone else and she really loved him but still I wish she'd made him work for it first.
I don't normally read rock star storylines as I hate the rock star view of women that is often portrayed in books but the hero in this is not a manwhore and if he does get involved with anyone else in the time apart it isn't discussed. It's believable that he has been alone due to his issues and she's been busy working and being a mum so it works but if he did then it's refreshing not to hear about it.
