This second chance at love story between a husband and wife was one that I really enjoyed. I liked both Hunter and Sara and really wanted to see them work things out and be happy together. I felt for both of them. The story was very heartbreaking and emotional at times. The relationship between Hunter and Sara was in jeopardy over stresses put on their marriage. They have to dig deep and see if they want to try to save their marriage.

Great characters and a heartfelt storyline made this one I really enjoyed. It was a really good follow up to the first book in the series. I'm looking forward to more of The Cabots. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing a copy of the book in return for an honest review.

A slower paced novel than I would’ve liked. A solid story.

This book is so real. Hunter and Sara have been married for some time. Having both had high demand jobs while trying to conceive, Sara has stoppped working to focus on a family. This book really illustrates the heartbreaking challenges a couple go through when pregnancy doesn’t come easily. Definitely a good read!

As I read the first book in this series, Before I Knew, I found myself more interested in Sara and Hunter's story than Colby and Alec. I've never read a women's fiction book dealing with infertility, and Jamie Beck handles the topic pretty well. I enjoyed Hunter and Sara's journey towards starting their family. I also liked the story line concerning the fate of CTC and how that contributed to Hunter and Sara's marital problems.

I'm taking one star off my review because I felt the ending was a little too perfect. Hunter and Sara have very real issues in their marriage, and in the end I don't think they worked through them enough. Throughout the book I kept thinking that they really needed couples therapy to learn how to communicate better. It seems like all of their problems are solved by the end of the book, but they still have a lot to work on. I hope we see some follow up in the next book!

I loved this book!! It was such an emotional journal with the struggles of infertility and hormone shots and disappointment when the IVF didn't work. I hurt for her. Hunter's struggles at the same time as his father is trying to sell the company that was promised to him. He worked long hours and didn't seem to be there for Sara. He meant to be, he was just neglectful and very busy trying to save his livelyhood. He would be very rich if the company was sold, but he didn't want that to happen so alot of the story focused on that. You think that that part would be boring, but the writing made it fascinating. Sara tries to fill her time with helping others and falls in love with a little boy who was born addicted and whose mother is still struggling. She tries to help and does but the mother does not want her presence is her life. I felt so sorry for Sara when she can't see little Ty. Sara finally leaves Hunter and goes to her family. There she realizes she needs to work on her marriage more. I've reread the ending of this story at least 5 times. It was heartbreaking and wonderful and perfect. Kudos to the writer.

I was given an advanced copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

It took me awhile to get into this book because I feared that bad things were going to keep happening with the characters. I like reading love stories that are always sunshine and happiness so my fear was that something was going to happen on the next page.

I love reading books by Jamie Beck and this second book to the Cabot series did not disappoint. Sara and Hunter are married and have been struggling with infertility. This book shows the struggle they go through and the obstacles they overcome to get the family they both desperately want. Can't wait to read even more by this author.

I loved reading the story of Hunter and Sara - both obsessed with different things. This is not a romance... it's a love story and there is a difference. Hunter and Sara Cabot have been married for many years. They delayed starting a family and now can't seem to make it happen. While Sara is going through infertility treatments and longing for a baby, Hunter is trying to save his "baby" - the company his family promised him - from being sold.

I felt that both main characters, as well as many of the secondary characters were well-developed. Although I foresaw the ending, that doesn't surprise me, since as a writer I do that a lot. This is a strong family drama suitable for readers of Women's Fiction and Romance (as long as one isn't looking for a "typical" romance).

This is my first book by the author and I enjoyed it. It is hard to say I loved it because I like fun, flirty romances and this one was definitely not that. It is full of angyst and feels and you really feel the two main characters fear, frustration and love in this story.

The main plotline is Hunter is a workaholic. Sara is a stay at home wife, who is is DESPERATE for a baby. She sees all her friends and family getting pregnant and she is getting shots and going doctors in the effort to get pregnant and nothing works.

What these two have are a lot of love and that was what made this book so great. However there is a lot of pain as Sara wants a husband and not a workaholic and a baby. The two try and work thru their problems and at times it is gut wrenching.

All We Knew follows Hunter and Sara through their struggles and tough, life-changing decisions as they try to overcome marital problems, as well as family turmoil. This story is different than the majority of books that I read since the couple is already married, but I still enjoyed it. Jamie Beck did a great job of capturing Hunter & Sara's emotional journey as they try to save their marriage. I look forward to the next book in The Cabots series to see how Gentry's story unfolds.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary Advance Reader Copy.

I wish that I could give this book more than 5 stars, it was simply amazing. I was constantly on pins and needles or sobbing over the events occurring in this book. This heartbreaking story of so much loss was so beautifully written it made your heartache for Sara & Hunter, as we watch them go through one heartbreaking loss after another. Add to the sadness of Sara & Hunter was the distance between Hunter & his father over the differences concerning their family company. This book dealt with the very sad, serious & important issues with the infertility of Sara & all the failed attempts at getting pregnant, the undeniable & unfathomable grief of not being able to conceive a much wanted child, as well as domestic violence which sends so many women & children to underfunded shelters each day seeking safety. The way author Jamie Beck has brought all this into this story is brilliant. We aren’t just following Sara & her desire to start a family or her struggle with her marriage, we’re following her & Hunter on a journey of awareness. The awareness that their life isn’t going the way that either planned is painful & the desparate struggle to hang on to dreams that have kept them going for years is hard. The battle for control is hard fought in the marriage & the boardroom. The hardest battle of all though is the battle of the heart, when it’s been broken so many times you have to wonder if the battle is still really worth it at all. What we learn from this story is that winning just one battle can go a long way to helping win the other battles. We see the growth of Hunter when he finally decides to stop being so angry about what isn’t going his way & put the welfare of one small child & his wife first. We see the realization for Sara that her family’s not the perfect one she thought she’d been missing since moving away from home & their problems weren’t all Hunter’s doing. We also get to see the unexpected growth of one of hunter’s sisters when she’s forced to deal with a life changing event. The journey through this story is a ride that will have you holding your breath, wiping your tears & rooting for love right to the end. Definitely recommend.

This is an emotional story of the effect of infertility & hormone therapy on a happy marriage. Hunter & Sara were instantly attracted to each other the first time they saw each other. They were a happy couple until they started having trouble conceiving. Sara started getting more & more stressed with what she perceived as her failures. Hunter was spending more & more time at work obsessing about the family business. Sara didn't realize this when she was working but after she quit work to try to concentrate on getting pregnant, she realized how bad it had gotten. Things came to a head of several months until they stood at a crossroads. Do they fight for their marriage or give up?

This story is an in depth analysis of the journey of a marriage from honeymoon through turmoil to the second chance. The dialogue perfectly portrays the interactions of all of the family & the outside influences on them. I started this book expecting a typical contemporary romance but it ended up being so much more. It was a complete emotional experience. I laughed. I cried. I got angry. It was the whole emotional spectrum rolled up into one concise well written story. I can't wait to read more from this author!

This is a very unique book for this genre. It is about a couple who have been married for a long time, and are going through married-couple issues, as opposed to two people just getting to know each other, and all of those early-in-the-relationship issues.

While it is a well-written, interesting story, it is not a very uplifting tale. It is very angsty, with characters who have strained relationships and are going through hardships and heartbreak. Perhaps it hit too close to home for me to really enjoy it, because I had a lot of similar issues in my marriage, and reading it was a little like reliving my own problems. Hunter and Sara make a lot of mistakes, and as an observer, you can see how easily things could be fixed if they just talked to each other (a recognizable problem!) It didn't keep them from getting their HEA, of course, although I would have liked seeing a little bit more of the work they would have had to put into their relationship between the end of the last chapter and the prologue.

Not my favorite of Jamie Beck's books, but well worth reading. I'm assuming the next book in the series is about Gentry, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the series continues.

Well written story about how things go wrong in a marriage, and then can go right again. I have to say it was less enjoyable than I thought it would be, even though it is well-written. I think it's because I read romance for escapism, and that wasn't necessarily what I found in this story.

Sara and Hunter have been trying to start a family but they are down to their last IVF try. While Sara has been focusing on their family, Hunter has been fighting with his family to block their sale of the family business. Not only are there firm lines drawn for sides, but in the mix is Hunter’s youngest sister, Colby. She has her own issues which affect Sara and Hunter at their most vulnerable. I seriously could not put this book down! LOVED it and can’t wait to read another by Jamie Beck!

Having read book 1 of this Cabot series I was very excited to read Hunter and Sara's story. It is laid out in book 1 that they are struggling with fertility, Sara is taking massive doses of hormones and upset over their losses all compounded by the fact that Hunter is a workaholic caught in a whirlwind of drama at his family's company.

So many times in this book I wanted to reach and hug Sara and then turn around and punch Hunter. While we get a detailed history of Hunter, the Cabot family and business empire and you sympathize with him wanting to keep what's always been promised to him I couldn't help but have anger over him repeating his father's mistakes of the past with his first two children and first wife. I guess the point of that is that Hunter was close to his father and the business and didn't sympathize with his mother's side. Now with an evil and conniving stepmother trying to get his father to sell the business out from under Hunter he feels he can do nothing but fight their every move. In the meantime, Sara is alone, lost and feeling shoved out of Hunter's life never to be anything but second best to his mistress- the family company.

Sara is sweet and kind and has had enough as far as carrying the marriage alone on her back. Her getting involved with Angel House has opened up her heart in a way that she never dreamed and she knows it would do the same to Hunter yet he has blinders on to everything but the company.

Hunter and Sara's fertility struggle was heartbreaking but not the root of their marital problems. Hunter of course would like to blame that as the reason everything is crumpling but in fact it's simply getting married and neglecting the other party whether that be through devotion to a job, children or the pursuit thereof or even friends and not keeping your partner first and fulfilled. I think every marriage suffers this and has to decide are we going to dig in deep and fix this or throw up our hands and quit. This story was easy to relate to and a great read. Looking forward to more of the Cabots.
