I do enjoy this wonderful series set in Ireland. So nice to see an independent female character out of her comfort zone and this is another great add to it with Maura's mother's visit.
I always enjoy these light mysteries with a lovely Setting in Ireland. Connolly always takes time to describe the beauty of the area and make the reader feel transported.
One complaint is that there wasn't enough Bridget in this book! I can't be the only reader of this series that would love an entire series about Bridget's younger years in Ireland.
Other than that one small complaint it was a fun cosy read.
Boston born pub owner Maura Donovan has settled into life in Ireland nicely, The last thing she expects is a visit from the mother she hasn’t seen in twenty years. Her mother has taken a job nearby, trying to start her life over, but when her boss is found dead, Maura steps in to try to clear her mother’s name. Connolly does such an amazing job of bringing Ireland and its residents to life that I feel like I’m there. I pulled out my Irish sweater to snuggle into while I read her latest mystery, tremendous, atmospheric fun
