This was an easy, fun read. The characters were enjoyable, and liveable floor the most part. There were a few moments between Lauren and Cameron that I just thought really... but overall enjoyable

The Billionaire's Holiday Engagement was unfortunately, a boring, muddled mess. Half the time I had a headache trying to figure out what was going on because a lot of the things the characters brought up were things not mentioned before, so I was just left in the dark and really annoyed. Then there's the fact that I didn't like or connect to either the hero or the heroine.

Lauren runs a successful catering business and she's finally come face to face with the man she's been fantasizing about for two years, ever since she catered a party for his boss two years ago. Now it appears that Cameron is the new boss and has moved to Seattle to take over the investment fund company his boss runs, that is, if his boss can get over the fact that Cameron is single and determined to stay that way. When his boss mistakes Lauren for Cameron's girlfriend, Cameron comes up with the brilliant idea of asking Lauren to play his girlfriend and in return he'll guarantee her company cater all his company's many upcoming parties and events for the holiday season, for the next 6 months actually. So of course she agrees.

I was expecting a really sexy, flirty holiday read but that is definitely not what I got. I got two characters who didn't have strong chemistry, who didn't even seem to like each other, and if Cameron said he had to keep their "relationship" casual one more time I probably would have reached through my Kindle and junk punched him. Ugh. He was a cold, boring character and Lauren wasn't much better.

Sorry, The Billionaire's Holiday Engagement just did not work for me, at all!

Cam is a man on the rise, and he doesn’t need any pressure from his boss or more importantly, from the wife of the boss, to settle down with his one and only. Cam is perfectly content with life as it is now in the personal department, but that lure of taking over the company is like glittering gold tinsel on the Christmas tree – something he wants badly and will do just about anything to get. Including a bit of crazy maneuvering with one feisty woman of business. After all, who would better understand a workaholic with no desire for a love life than another workaholic, right?

Lauren is proud of what she’s accomplished in her catering business. She’s good and she knows it. Yet, one can always get better, and move higher. So when one attractive, sexy, a bit crazy client makes her an offer – it turns out to be one she cannot refuse. And every good cook knows… you need to taste the dish to be certain that it’s done just right. A pretend engagement would benefit Lauren and Cam professionally. So why shouldn’t they enjoy the personal benefits as well?

The Billionaire’s Holiday Engagement was a fun read. While the setting is more holiday than the story is, that background adds to their story. I liked both Cameron and Lauren. Both are workaholics, and at times their strong personalities clash often in who can out-stubborn the other. But they worked, in spite of my occasional frustrations with them… they did work. Here are two people who really needed to understand that yes, they could do it all on their own… but they were so much better and more successful together. I had fun with t his couple, and that’s the whole point.

I’d recommend this story for any Romance reader who enjoys strong characters and a touch of Christmas.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Cameron Price need to like Seattle. Cameron had a reputation for efficiency. Some people called Cameron ruthless but Cameron made money for the firm. Cameron was a native New Yorker and he never expected to live anywhere else. But he he wanted to head the most influential venture capital firm in the country. Then his boss came into Cameron’s new office Bon had grown up in Seattle but was now in N Y. When Cameron asked if there was anything he should know Bob said “ never complain about the rain, learn coffee speak, and enjoy the outdoors”. Bob told Cameron he would have a lot of dinner parties as he had to entertain clients, investors, and staff. It’s an important part of the leadership role. Then Bob said that was why his wife Sonya had been so assertive of the wife issue. Bob said he couldn’t concentrate on running the company and managing his own funds without Sonya making everything else happen. Lauren was the caterer and doing the dinner party for the first time for Cameron Price. She owned Come For dinner catering and it was known for creative dinner parties for business executives in their homes. Cameron asked Lauren to act like they had been dating to get Sonya off his back. Lauren agreed if he agreed to use her catering service only for three months exclusively. Also this way Lauren could see the other side of one of her dinner parties. Then it went so well Cameron wanted to keep up the charade but Lauren backed down. When Lauren sent everyone home and was cleaning up Cameron kissed her. The next day after several deliveries of roses Laurel agreed to meet for dinner at one of her favorite restaurants. Cameron affected Lauren like no other man ever has. Cameron had walked in to see his fiance and his roommate in his bed and every since then he kept his relationship with women casual and he refused to go through that again. Christa and Nyla were two of Laurel’s best friends and lived across the hall from Laurel. Diego was her chef but also her close friend and he wanted more responsibility and Laurel had to give it to him to attend functions with Cameron.
I loved this romance. It had a great pace and plot. I loved Cameron and Lauren together.I loved how their relationship grew. I didn’t want to put this book down and didn’t for the most part. This book had my interest from beginning to end. I could not find anything I didn’t love about this book and that is always great. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend.

This book has a good story-line and I liked the characters. The "holiday" is not a major character but only "sets the scene", so to speak. The writing is good and flows well. There are explicit sex scenes. So if that turns you off to a story, consider yourself forewarned. I felt that the story is done well enough and can stand on it's own with out all the sex. Don't get me wrong, I like a good romp as well as the next person; but, sometimes it can be overdone.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Entangled for the ARC. I voluntarily reviewed this book. This book is #4 and I had no idea. It reads as a stand alone. First time reading this author. This was a quick fun read. If you enjoy fake entanglements that turn to love then this is one you will enjoy.

Being pressured by his boss to find his Ms. Right and settle down, Cameron Price knows just the woman to turn to for help. Proposing an arrangement that will benefit them both is perfect, but neither could have imagined their fake relationship could become real. Will Cameron be able to convince Lauren to take a chance on him or will they lose their shot at happy ever after because of an error in judgment by one of them?

Although this book took a while for me to completely settle into reading it, I really enjoyed how it took off once the hero and heroine met and just kept getting better. Because they're both professionals and determined to do anything to be successful, which is proven by the bargain they strike. Yet, they're different too, which is evident by the heroine's determination to get the hero to try different things when it comes to food.

As for the dialogue, it was really enjoyable due to the main characters back stories and what the hero does to the heroine that has her mad at him. Will he be able to fix what he does, so the heroine doesn't lose everything she's worked so hard for? Furthermore, the heroine was fantastic with her resilience and love of her job. Being able to organize and cater all that she does for a party makes her seem like superwoman. I also liked how brave she was in giving Cameron a chance when it's palpable neither of them are looking for a relationship, because their careers are important to them. While the hero, he's confident, smart, hard-working and his career sounds very interesting, especially with all the effort he goes to in making certain the companies he invests in are worth getting involved with, which is proven by one of the dinner parties he holds. I also liked how determined the hero was to win the heroine over, because it's palpable she's coming to mean a lot to him.

Overall, Ms. Bayley-Burke has penned another really good read in this book where the chemistry was intense, convincing and had me wondering how long it would take for this couple's relationship to progress into physical intimacy; and the ending had me totally captivated by how far the hero goes to show the heroine how much she wants him in her life. What a way to make sure the heroine gives him the answer he wants than announcing his intentions in front of plenty of witnesses. Will Lauren realize how much she wants Cameron in her life too before it's too late? I would recommend The Billionaire's Holiday Engagement by Jenna Bayley-Burke, if you enjoy the fake relationship trope or books by authors Victoria Davies, Diane Alberts, Regina Kyle and Kira Archer.

I always enjoy when two people agree to a relationship of convenience and wind up falling in love. In Jenna Bayley-Burke’s The Billionaire’s Holiday Engagement, a recently relocated venture capitalist determined to make an impression and get his boss and the bosses wife off his back about finding a wife, asks his caterer to pretend to be his girlfriend and in turn he’ll help her grow her business though his connections. Flirty with a whole lot of simmering sexual tension, this was an entertaining holiday story.

Moving to Seattle wasn’t in Cameron Price’s plans, but the opportunity to take over as CEO of the firm he works for when one of the partners retires is too much for him to resist. The worst part of the promotion he is required to entertain clients, investors, and colleagues on a regular basis something he doesn’t enjoy, but when his caterer Lauren Brody plans the perfect introductory party and the attendees believe there is something more between them he decides to make his life easier by convincing Lauren to go along with his scheme. But Lauren is no pushover and if she agrees she plans to act on the attraction buzzing between them.

I liked these two characters quite a bit and while at times they were both a bit frustrating, it was easy to see they were both driven and determined to succeed in their respective careers. The both had some relationship baggage that made them gun shy, but the chemistry between them was hard for them to ignore. I liked that it took them awhile to get to their first full sexual encounter and their coitus interruptus moments were quite amusing, one hot as hell dream sequence held us over to the real thing, and once they got to the sexy times they were fast, furious and oh so sexy.

It was interesting watching these two very strong and independent individuals learn to compromise but not lose themselves in the process. They truly were better when together.

Entertaining and fun but with enough emotion to keep it real, I thoroughly enjoyed The Billionaire’s Holiday Engagement.

The Billionaire's Holiday Engagement by Jenna Bayley-Burke, is a fun and sexy novel. It is a fast-paced read, replete with an entertaining plot, well-defined characters, and a very flirtatious romance. This is the fourth book from the author's Invested In Love series and it can be read as a standalone.

Lauren Brody is on the cusp of evolving her successful company into the best catering establishment in all of Seattle. While providing her over the top dinner service to Cameron Price and his guests, Cameron asks her to be his temporary girlfriend. Cameron is a very wealthy venture capitalist, and his old fashioned boss believes that he needs a wife in order to keep his life on the straight and narrow. Since Lauren finds Cameron to be very desirable, she agrees to the arrangement. In exchange, Cameron agrees to promote her company through his many contacts and social functions. They are both workaholics and prefer to keep their lives devoid of any emotional attachments. However, overtime their mutual attraction develops into lust and love.

I enjoyed this book, even though the narrative did not flow very well. Lauren and Cameron are a hot couple and their sexy times are quite seductive. In fact, I don't think I will ever look at an eggplant or a banana the same way again. I really liked Lauren's mother, because her elegance and honesty was beautifully captured. If you are a fan of the relationship of convenience trope, you will love this book.

This was a romance born out of convenience that turned into so much more!
Lauren and Cameron are too busy for relationships. Cameron is a suave smart business man that is making is way quickly up the corporate ladder. SO much so that some of his partners wives are feeling it necessary to play match maker much to his dismay.
Lauren is a talented caterer that has forged her own way in the social world with hard work, dedicated employees and a keen eye for food and décor. Her affluent mother has hoped that she would give up this silly escapade but Lauren has become a woman on a mission. Cameron sees a beautiful woman and realizes that he may be able to convince her into a business arrangement that is more than just dinner parties. Let's look at it from Cameron's point ..not having to be fixed up by your partner's wives and enjoying the company of a beautiful talented feisty woman. Lauren ...having many job opportunities thrown at her for her fabulous food skills and dodging her mother's matchmaking advances to fix her up with a good older man! Win..Win! What happens though when it suddenly turns into so much more !!??
A great Read !!!

A well-written romance with a real story. Good and thanks!

This could have been a very good book, with more character building, and less graphic sex. It is gratuitous sex, not advancing the storyline! I wouldn't pay for this book. Sorry!

Love coming from the most unexpected place is always a plot that I enjoy. I would've like for Cameron to have more light and relaxed moments. But other than that, a nice quick read.

I lost sleep while reading this book. I needed to know what happened next. Your can’t help but fall for these characters and find yourself feeling and falling for them. You will want to slap them, hug them, laugh, get angry and swoon over them. This book is totally worth the lack of sleep 💤. All in all such a fantastic book and such a pleasure to read and should not be passed up.

Fun, sexy, quick read that was completely entertaining. Although the story is fairly typical for the relationship of convenience trope it felt fresh and new. Cameron and Lauren are both workaholics but when Cameron begins to get pressured to settle down by his boss Lauren presents the perfect opportunity. She need his contacts to get her catering business headed in the right direct. Win win for everyone and if they have a little fun along the way even better!

Definitely a book I think you will enjoy. I highly recommend it.

The Billionaire's Holiday Engagement by Jenna Bayley-Burke is Book 4 in the Invested In Love Series.

Loved it! This is a fast-paced contemporary romance of the fake engagement kind set during the holidays. Two individuals previously hurt by the ones they love jumped into work to combat the pain and now they just don’t have the time for relationships but they do want each other. A definite must-read!

An ARC was generously provided in exchange for an honest review of which this is both honest and completely voluntary.

Cameron is the most controlled character I have read in a while. He has walls surrounding his heart to prevent him from falling for anyone. He will not allow himself to go through all the hurt again. When he meets Lauren he knows he is in for the full ride.

This was an interesting and entertaining story of two stubborn people trying to fight their attraction and still keep their independence. The scenes are HOT and very descriptive. The storyline is even better.

I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I thank the publisher for sharing a copy with me.
