Lauren Brody is, arguably, he best caterer available. Her attention to detail and flavorful food is in high demand. She has several, big business, repeat customers and one of them is the boss of Cameron Price. She saw him a couple of years ago at a party, but never learned his name. Struck by is amazing body and striking blue eyes, he quickly becomes the object of many fantasies. But Cameron is now about to take over the company and so she is now catering for him. His boss is pressuring him to find a wife to help him with his success, but he isn’t interested in long term. When Cameron asks Lauren to play along as his girlfriend/caterer, she can’t help but go along with the ploy. It couldn’t hurt to indulge a little. She’s been hurt just as much as he has, so protective walls will help her to keep from getting caught up in those sensual blue eyes.

Cameron Price is a very rich, very successful, very determined man. When his boss insists he find a wife before taking over the company, the wheels start turning. The obvious choice is to fake it since he won’t be getting married – ever! But his pretend romance with Lauren quickly turns in to an uncontrollable desire that neither of them can resist. Problem is that the longer they pretend, the closer they get and the more it looks as if they are evenly matched. But getting beyond the self-imposed barriers is a challenging task after years of cultivation. And after Cameron searches his heart, following a near disaster that could cause him to lose Lauren, he implements a plan for the most memorable holiday ever.

This story was crazy hot and super cute! I loved that both Lauren and Cameron are equals in pretty much every way, but that their differences ultimately complement one another. The secondary characters added depth and were also enjoyable – though not as quite as enjoyable as the two leads. My only issue was the scene with tantric sex. I’ve heard of it, but not sure I buy in to it, so that seemed a little off for me. However, I was quite entertained by everything else in the book. I found Lauren funny and quirky – always saying things about how she could never be with a man that (insert objection here). My favorite line in fact revolved around such a scenario when she had said she could never be with a man who didn’t own an espresso machine or ice cream maker. It’s part of her defense mechanism, in which she shoots down potential suitors by making them unacceptable in some way, but hilarious none the less. Cameron is a very up front, no nonsense, in your face kind of person – but also uptight. He takes his job extremely seriously and won’t so much as eat when in dinner meetings. Fearful of something stuck in his teeth, bad breath, or even crumbs on his clothes, anything distracting from his purpose is not allowed. Lauren even thinks that he dislikes food, which is also a silly scenario. If you are looking for an HEA with a slight holiday twist (or not, it is in fact slight), strong lead characters with a couple of quirky and exasperating friends, all surrounded by some seriously hot sex … look no further. This quick read is guaranteed to satisfy!

Lauren Brody runs her own catering company, Come For Dinner, that has become extremely successful thanks to the hard work she and her employees had put into it. Because of this, she hasn't had time for romance or even a fling. When hired to do a private party at a mansion in Seattle, she bumps into Cameron Price, the most gorgeous man she had seen months ago but never spoke to him. Little did he know he had stared in all her fantasies, with those piercing blue eyes, gorgeous face and a body to die for. When he asks her to be his companion for the duration of the party, she's shocked but delighted, after all, entertaining is what she does best.
Cameron Price, a venture capitalist, is good at his job, however, he doesn't have time for anything else. Knowing this party is his moment to shine, he bumps into a gorgeous raven hair beautiful woman, and asks her to be his date for the night. With Lauren's help, the party goes smoothly and it's all due to her expertise and witty personality. After all the guests have left and it's only the two of them, Cameron makes a proposition. Be my pretend girlfriend and I'll make sure to bring you more business thru exposure.
These are two people that have been burned badly by love and are afraid to try again. Can they get beyond their past and possibly give love another chance?
I loved this book and I highly recommend it!

I liked this story. I liked how she taught him how to live/love without a lot angst.

I wanted to like this book, but it frustrated me greatly. This read more like a new adult book than a book about two professionals because characters acted far younger than their alluded-to ages. For example: Lauren's tantrum over Cameron's attempt to do something kind for her was utterly ridiculous and incredibly childish. And her friends. Holy cow, what is wrong with them? She says repeatedly says she's only dating Cameron, but suddenly Nyla storms in and starts planning a wedding and telling people – including Lauren's mom – that she's getting married? I believe that Nyla was supposed to be charming but instead she came off as incredibly obnoxious and treated Lauren like a doormat throughout the entire book.

There were also inconsistencies and confusion throughout this one. Were they pretending to date? Pretending to be engaged? I really don't know. Lauren seemed to think that they were pretending to date, but Cameron used the term “engaged” in his head and the title says “engagement” so I honestly don't have any idea. Another issue was that the title also says “billionaire” and although it was clear that he was well-off, his driving need to “secure their financial future” was the crux of the major fight that they have so again I was totally confused. If he's a billionaire he should have money to burn and could have found another way to make a meeting with that investor happen (or at least hired a decent catering company), right? Yeah, apparently not. And don't even get me started on Cameron's weird eating issues. Everyone else at his dinner parties could eat the food that was served without wearing their food but he can't manage to eat even one bite of food without worrying about spilling it or having it leave (gasp!) crumbs on his tie? Do people really judge others for a flaky food leaving crumbs (that could easily be wiped away in one second) on one's shirt? That literally made no sense at all.

This story gets two stars for the potential that it showed. I am very sorry that I cannot leave a more positive review.

Cameron Price is a successful venture capitalist who has relocated to Seattle from NYC due to a promotion. Lauren Brody is a caterer that handles his company's events. Although I liked Lauren I could not war up to Cameron. He seemed to be too one-dimensional and I questioned how the two of them could develop a relationship. I also found his excuses for not eating in public during dinner parties, etc. just off. Overall, this story really didn't do anything for me although it was a okay read.

This is a fun, quick read that fans of the genre will love. Lauren owns a catering business that she's poured her heart and soul into and refuses to put aside for any man. Cam is a wealthy venture capitalist whose employer keeps insisting needs a wife, but who has sworn off of love.

With these two so busy insisting that they don't have any time for love, they embark on an "arrangement", so what could happen but somewhere along the way they fall in love. Yes, its a very predictable story, but done so well that you just can't help but enjoy the tale. Romance fans will want to add this one to their must read list.

This was previously published as Cooking Up A Seduction.

This is a fast paced romance about two work obsessed people who fall in love when when they're supposed to be focussed on their careers. Cameron is a venture capitalist and Lauren is a caterer. They meet at an event and Cameron proposes an engagement of convenience. He'll gain a promotion and Lauren will make contacts that she would otherwise never meet. When they have to spend so much time together they realise there is a lot more to the other person than they expected and they fall in love. However nothing is that straight forward and conflicts and misunderstandings ensue. But will they get things together in order to have a happily ever after, or will they screw it up and miss out on the best thing to have happened to them?

I loved the story and the writing and would definitely recommend this book.

I did not like the lead male character, Cameron. From the beginning I thought he acted childish. Near the end Lauren even told him that he acted like a petulant child. I'm not sure if that is intentional, but didn't work for me.
