This book is a good fit for readers looking for a steamy, playful romance with a touch of secrecy and emotional depth.

This was the first thing I have read by this author and I found it to be an enjoyable experience.
The story is basically a friend's with benefits type romance.
The book is about two former college acquaintances Luke and Elise both with some preconceived notion's of each other who meet up through mutual friends a few years later when Elise has moved back to town to be closer to her parents and her sick father and they strike up a friendship of sorts.
This friendship is off the charts in terms of heat and toe-curling shenanigans.
But also really sweet and comfortable at the same time.
This was an incredibly low angst easy read.
A straightforward contemporary romance that ticked all my boxes in terms of feel good.
It wasn't a complicated story but that was half the draw here, I could just kick back and enjoy myself for a few hours without the stress.
I also really liked the epilogue we got with this one.
If you are looking for something uncomplicated that will leave you with the warm and fuzzies this one is definitely the book for you.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Friends with Benefits (Dirty Love, #1).

Dirty by R.L. Kenderson was HOT HOT HOT. And it has a great story to add to the sexy times.

I liked the characters & I thought the chemistry between Elise & Luke was really well written.

This was my 1st book by author RL Kenderson & I really enjoyed it. The characters of this story were all strong, even the secondary characters. The main characters were written with heat & passion & secrecy. The way the story started out I thought it would be a run of the mill story of player chasing good girl to show he could win her but I was wrong. The depth of the storyline with Elise & Luke had a few twists & turns with her parents being a shocker. I enjoyed the angst between Luke & Elise as they tried to find their way in the relationship & the added drama of her sister’s life changing announcements. This book was written with the readers enjoyment as the end result & it definitely didn’t disappoint, I will be looking for more from this author. Definitely recommend.

Dirty is a love story between Elise and Luke former College friends. Elise comes back in her hometown because family problems and being home means meeting all friends. In this group of old friends is also a man-player Luke. After a few drinks, they end up together in bed and so their hot steamy relationship secret start. I really loved how unpredictable was the story, I liked how author deceives us at the start at representing Luke. Because he turns out to be a really good person, caring responsible loving and in right state of mind. Elise is interesting character doesn't know yet what she wants from men, relationship or in real life. But she has a good sister and friend who help her out. Really good story not just about two people having sex but a story with family drama and finding the one in person you didn't expect to.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

I wish I could rate this book at least 10 stars. I absolutely loved every little part of this book. Elise and Luke have known each other for years, but each one has different expectations so every thing stayed uncomplicated. When Elise moves back home to be closer to her family she is unexpectedly thrust back into the group of friends from school, and that incudes hot, sexy as sin, and worlds biggest flirt Luke. One night leads to actions they both enjoyed but both decided not to repeat, but they both were unaware of just how hard that would be. They both have decisions to make, will they try to work together or will they stay apart? Thank you NetGalley and R.L. Kenderson for allowing me to read this and write a honest review.

DIRTY is a fantastic, steamy and fun read with undertones of family drama and a great plot. The characters are endearing with a strong female lead and a cocky, but loveable male lead too. There’s a fabulous support cast, some twists and turns and a wonderful ending too.

I liked this book and will definitely read more by R.L. Kenderson.

Dirty is sexy with some emotional depth. Elise has never had a relationship with a man who satisfied her in bed. When she sees a guy she knew in college, who was the resident manwhore, she's reminded of how she never gave into his charm back then, and is wondering if he's still the same player he was before. Of course, she automatically assumes he is (shame on her!) and is determined to not give into him in the present. But, one night spent doing too many shots and they fall into a one night stand she barely remembers. But, Luke and Elise can't seem to keep their hands off each other and soon Elise finds herself in an actual relationship with Luke, but is determined to keep it a secret from her friends and family.

This is the part of the story that irritated me, why Elise felt the need to keep it quiet was just ridiculous. So her friends advised her not to sleep with him in the beginning, that's no reason to keep Luke a secret, like he's some sort of dirty little toy. Elise is a messed up woman, thanks to her parents' ultra conservative and religious beliefs. They've brainwashed her into believing no man would ever want to have a relationship with her if she's had premarital sex, and it's screwed with her head. On one hand, she likes to think she's a modern, free thinking woman who owns her sexuality, but on the other hand, she feels guilty about enjoying sex, and she takes it all out on Luke in a really hurtful, stupid way. I wanted to smack her for being such a stupid b**** and for being so oblivious when she hurt Luke. God, what an idiot. Thank God she came to her senses, thank God for her friend, Rachel, or she'd still be wallowing around in self pity, being stupidly oblivious as to how she had hurt Luke, and how ridiculous her feelings of shame and guilt were.

One of the things I loved about Dirty is that Luke is biracial - his dad is Chinese, and his mom is white. That's still pretty unusual in romances these days, and it's always nice to see racial diversity in romances, considering how little it happens. Luke is an all around great character, he helped lift Dirty into something more than the usual. I don't like Elise, but Luke's great qualities more than make up for Elise's bad qualities.
