So cute! If you are a fan of crochet and this classic children's story, take a look at this sweet volume.
I love character crochet books & I was very excited to read this one. It didn't disappoint at all. I highly recommend it.
I thought that Sarah had a clever way of putting together the characters of Peter Pan. This book is well laid out and user-friendly to know all the steps to take to make a bunch of play toys to brighten a little ones day in the wonderful world of make-believe. I love that she included chapters of the adventure in the book. If you can follow a pattern, like Peter Pan, and are up for the challenge you’ll want to check out this one. Happy crocheting.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Once again I'm not disappointed by the crochet stories series. I love the crochet-a-long aspect of this book in that while you're reading the book you can crochet adorable characters from the story! This is definitely 5 Stars
I love looking at Crochet Stories for some of my favorite stories. This one shows you how to create your own crocheted characters from the classic story of Peter Pan. In addition to telling you how to create the stories it also tells the story of Peter Pan so you can tell the story with your dolls once your projects are completed! The characters in this book look absolutely ADORABLE and I wish that I knew how to crochet to be able to make a couple! Maybe someday...
I received a free e-copy of this book in order to write this review, I was not otherwise compensated.
This is an adorable book, and because of it, I've picked up my crochet hooks.
Love this book! Delightful concept, clearly written and with lovely pictures. Can see I will be making lots of the toys in the book!
Absolutely marvelous, I loved it. Been recommending it to all my croucheting friends.
A beautiful book. There is a shortened version of the classic story of Peter Pan, with patterns to make all the main characters form Peter himself to Smee and Captain Hook. There are more than a dozen patterns which look to be well-written though I haven't tried crocheting one yet, but I would say not suitable for a beginner.
These are really cute patterns for children's crochet toys. The Tinkerbell and the pirate I am sure would be favorites. I would certainly buy this book.
I love the concept of crochet dolls to go with the story. I would have liked more photos of the making of the dolls,
Crochet stories jm Barrie's peter pan by sarah slayer.
This is the classic story of peter pan but with crochet. You can make the characters john wendy and Michael even captain hook. A very clever idea. I love the story of peter pan. Loved the pictures In the book. Hghly recommended. 5*. Netgalley and dover publications.
This book is awesome! It combines JM Barrie's story of Peter Pan with photos of the finished beautiful crocheted characters and patterns to make your own. The patterns and assembly instructions are easy to follow and vary from Easy to Advanced with an even amount of ranges to give a beginner a chance to make more as they learn. I love the format of this book and recommend if you love Peter Pan!
Book given by NetGalley and Publisher for a fair and honest review.
Cute book with lots of nicely done character amigurumis of Peter Pan.
The instructions are apparently easy to follow (I still haven't done any yet), but they were very clear.
What I most liked was that the instructions for each set of characters were interwoven with parts of the story, giving them a context.
Very cute, well-organized, and easy to follow patterns! I love Peter Pan and these characters are not often in crochet patterns and books that I find! I can't wait to get started on these little cuties!
Love this book! Dover publications knocked it out of the park this time. I should start off by saying that I do not crochet, I knit, but I grew up with all sorts of crocheted animals and characters from my grandmother. If she was still alive I would had her this book and start begging. This is not just another crochet book. It starts with the main body patterns, and then you get a section of the Peter Pan Story. Next there are patterns to turn those main bodies into the Darlings, then more story, then Peter and Tink, then more story, etc. Plus it's so comprehensive. They have patterns not only for the characters already mentioned, but also for two lost boys, their tepee, Nana, Captain Hook, Smee, and the crocodile. It if fully encompassing and fully fun. Loved everything about this book.
Dover craft books are typically appealing, well-organized, well-photographed, and contain detailed descriptions of projects. This offering is no exception, The story of Peter Pan is mingled with projects featuring familiar characters from the story.. The projects are identified as Easy, Intermediate, and Advanced (although most do not fall in this latter category). However, the projects tagged as "Easy" may not be for the novice crafter. Five stars for another well-done craft book from Dover.
