A good book to teach a young child about spring.,,,This book is perfect for toddlers, especially the opening the flap parts, and shows some of the changes spring brings. The illustrations are bright, colourful and detailed.
A cute story about a cat who likes to go outside in the spring and enjoy the sunshine and play with his toys and animal friends.
I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Such a cute little story. My son and I both enjoyed the beautiful, cheerful illustrations and look forward to reading more about Sammy and the other seasons. Great for young children.
Bright and colourful illustrations on some activities in spring.
Thanks to netgalley
My kids loved this book! It is such a fun read! Definitely thinking about buying one for them.
Spring has sprung and it is time to play outside. Pull a car, play with Hob the horsey, and eat green snacks. A nice book that many will enjoy.
I received this arc from Netgalley for an honest review. This is a good book for young children who like bright pictures and fun illustrations. Unfortunately that's about it. There isn't much of a point to the story and it feels like part of it is missing.
A good book to teach a young child about spring. When Sammy and his stuffed horse Hobbs, realize that spring has arrived, they are ready to go outside to enjoy the warm weather. Off they go on Sammy's bike to see flowers, a family of hedgehogs, cute lambs and to work in the garden. There is a lot to do and discuss about the spring. Of course this is also a lift-a-flap book, so they start off and when you turn the half page, you see what they do next such as showing the hedgehogs in the bushes. At the end of the day, the tired pair head home to wash up and have a healthy snack.
This book is perfect for toddlers, especially the opening the flap parts, and shows some of the changes spring brings. The illustrations are bright, colourful and detailed. Young children will enjoy the images and the experiences that Sammy and Hobbs have. A nice addition for a pre-school or kindergarten classroom as well as for a family with young children.
This book is about Sammy the cat and his horse Hob exploring their world on a nice spring day. Both of my daughters enjoyed this book. My youngest especially loved the illustrations and adored Sammy the cat.
Finally Spring has arrived and Sammy and his stuffed horse Hob can go outside to enjoy the warm weather and be more active. They are set free to ride Sammy's bike, smell the fragrance of new blossoming flowers, wake up a family of hedgehogs from their winter hibernation, pet some fluffy newborn lambs and work in the garden, just to name a few.
Of course his BFF Hobs is included in everything he partakes in that day. Finally, tired after of all the busy activity, they head back inside, wash their hands ( of course Hobbs washes his hooves as he has no hands ) and they munch on lovely fresh produce both very, very happy to have played outdoors once again.
This book is perfect for toddlers and shows the unleashing of Spring through a child's eyes. It is a book with half pages that hide and reveal how Sammy engages in outdoor activities in Spring.
The illustrations are bright, vibrant and detailed. Young ones will find them very appealing, full of activity, expression and engaging.
Cute, short, engaging picture book for toddlers. Sammy (a cat) goes exploring on a spring day. The birds are chirping. The butterflies are flying. The flowers are growing. Along the way, he and his stuffed horse, Hob, encounter sleeping animals and plant seeds in a garden. They have dinner after the day's adventures.
There illustrations are beautiful and engaging. The pages are quite busy which will give the child lots to look at and talk about. Thoroughly enjoyed this picture book.
This book was really cute, and I think I will look ahead to purchase it in print for my niece. Loved all of the little characters.
This was an interesting book. The illustrations are bright and depict Sammy doing lots of "adult" things. Our three year old would rather being doing our "work" than playing with toys most of the time, so seeing Sammy riding the tractor, gardening, and cooking meals was enough to hold his interest. It is confusing whether Sammy is the adult or the child in the family. The picture on the wall suggests that maybe he is the child in the family portrait, but if that was the case, where have his parents been and why do they leave him to do everything by himself?
My 3 year old really liked this book.. He was very interested in what Sammy was doing (especially when it came to the part where he rode the tractor!). My question - is Sammy a kid or an adult? He seemed childish and then some of the things he did were more adult. The book, however, was adorable and we both really liked it! Definitely one I would get for myself or for a friend :)
This was a fun book with some nice, clean and bright images - the plot wasn't great and the ending wasn't as good as it could have been, I found it a bit stilted so I can't give it too high a rating, that said I've given it 3 stars due to the images and layouts used, so not too bad really!
