This is a must download for me. Has helped me find a number of great books I probably wouldn't normally have chosen. Keep it going please.
I always look forward to Book Buzz! This one did not disappoint.
The second of the Book Buzz's I have read and really find them to be a great way to discover some new authors not on my radar. I look forward to readying these monthly!
Really Interesting books this month!
The excerpts were very intriguing, and I'm really excited to see how they go!
What a great selection of books!! Especially I really love the excerpt of Louise Eldrich's new book.
As always, Buzz Books proves to be one of the best sources for finding new and upcoming books that you'll want to be sure to check out and feature on your website. The excerpts are always just the right length to give you a taste of the book that leaves you wanting more - and helps you decide whether or not the book is right for you and your online publication.
The preview buzz books features are super-useful to help me focus on which books are in my "arena" which would lead to a productive and positive review. Thanks so much for the Buzz Books features!
Interesting selections; it was useful to be able to read excerpts of a couple of books that had been on my radar.
Any of the Buzz Books that Publishers Lunch puts out presents a wonderful opportunity for avid readers, book-store owners, and book sellers to read excerpts of books before they are published to determine what books they are most interested in.
The November/December Buzz Books Monthly highlights a subset of the books previously mentioned in the Fall/Winter Fiction 2017 and Fall/Winter Romance 2017 books.
Future Home of the Living God by Louise Erdrich is the story of a young woman fighting for her life and that of her unborn child in the aftermath of a cataclysmic event.
The Road to Bittersweet by Donna Everhardt is set in the Carolinas in the 1940s and is a coming of age story about a young girl discovering that the world beyond her family can cause repercussions within the family that she never would have imagined.
Radio Free Vermont by Bill McKibben shows us a group of Vermont patriots who want to secede from the US and set up their own republic.
The Last Suppers by Mandy M. Kubencak takes us to Louisiana in the 1950s where Ginny Polk serves as a cook to death row inmates at the Greenmount State Penetentiary.
These are just a few of the excerpts I read in this book and all sound quite promising. If you ever have the chance to read a Buzz Book by Publishers Lunch, take it!! It is well worth your time.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Publisher Lunch for providing me with an e-copy of this book to read and review.
As always, a great collection of upcoming books from Publishers Launch. Can't wait for the next one.
As usual another great guide to books that are coming out. These buzz pieces offer a timely way for the bookish to stay engaged and informed. I look forward to these guides and the excerpts help wet the appetite of literary delights. Well done, keep them coming!
Once again Buzz Books delivered. I love reading what's to come however my TBR list gets bigger.
Looking forward to The last supper by Mandy Mikulencak already placed on my wish list.
Helpful as always when trying to travel through the maze of new releases. Thanks!
Great way to see what's up and coming in the next two months!
Thanks you so much for these excerpts all from books that I am interested in reading! I loved them all!!
Always find this compilation useful of upcoming releases and anticipated debut novelists.
What a great tool for the reader who wants to know which books will be published soon. The six excerpts give us a glimpse into a variety of genres. The lists of literary favorites and emerging talents, debut fiction, commercial fiction and non-fiction as well as a week-by-week list prepare us to make reading selections for the upcoming months. A joy for the avid reader.
I love these Buzz Books Monthly. I like to read a little sample of a story. They either get me hooked and I have to get the book or I find out it is something that isn't for me. Some of these are books that I would not normally gravitate towards but reading the excerpt has me intrigued. The books included in this edition are:
"Future Home of the Living God" Louise Erdrich
"The Road to Bittersweet" Donna Everhart
"Radio Free Vermont" Bill Mckibben
"The Last Suppers" Mandy Mikulencak
"The Inner Life of Animals" Peter Wohlleben
"The Austen Escape" Katherine Ray
I look forward to the Buzz Books monthly digests. There's an interesting selection of excerpts this time, some set in the past, and some in the future. There are perhaps fewer this month that really grab my attention but I have found that sometimes the books you're not sure about turn out to be a delight.
I quite like a good coming-of-age novel and The Road to Bittersweet sounds interesting. Radio Free Vermont also sounds as if it would be quite entertaining.
I'm not sure how many of this month's titles (if any) will be available in the UK..
