This story was a sweet story of coming "home" and finding exactly what you weren't looking for but everything that is perfect. Joy is a widowed mom traveling back to Montana with her adorable daughter Piper to visit her inlaws for Christmas. Almost there she "runs into" and meets Cole Tanner who happens to be not only very close friends with her deceased husband but the unofficially adopted son of her mother and father-in-law.

Having gotten Piper's excitement up of a winter wonderland Christmas in Montana they are shocked to arrive to a dark and bahhumbug attitude not only with Grammy and Grampy, but also with Cole. Death and lose have ripped any Christmas cheer from their lives but with Piper on the premises there isn't hope for anyone but to witness the awe and wonder of the Christmas season through the love and excitment of a little child.

Piper is just what the Hayden's have needed to brighten not only the holiday season but their entire world. With the love of the child who is the spittinig image of their son and the signs of the hummingbirds sends, this family learns to rely on faith and miracles. Joy finds her own joy in the season and a second chance with Cole who also learns how love and new discoveries can heal a broken soul.

This story was sweet, funny, romantic and heartwarming. I loved it!
