Typical fun and flirty Jessica Lemmon. Good dialog but was missing some of her previous works energy. Solid read.
Man Candy is a good fit for readers who enjoy lighthearted and steamy contemporary romance with a focus on unexpected connections and the unpredictable paths that love can take.
A camping adventure with heat ignite an adventure to discover during a storm if they have enough to be together. Navigating through family, the past, and looking beyond the attraction.
Humor, adventure, and sexy times for a light beach read.

Unfortunately "Man Candy" was the weakest book in the "Real Love" series.
While I enjoyed the cabin setting in the Tennessee mountains, I couldn't connect with the characters at all. Dax and Becca know each other for about 10 minutes when they end up in bed together. I didn't even know the characters, so this felt way too rushed for me.
Even after that the chemistry between them couldn't persuade me and I didn't feel any connection between them and to me they remained very distant.
The story itself was ok but I can't say that I really enjoyed it. For me the series is over at this point.
This was my first Jessica Lemmon book, and I thought it was adorable. It wasn’t until I was finished that I realized this was actually the third book in a series, but I didn’t miss anything by not reading those first. I will certainly go back and check them out now that I know about them! But the story itself was a stand-alone, with the prior characters only coming in at the end as an afterthought.
Man Candy focuses on the relationship between Dax and Becca. What was supposed to be a one night stand, and then a two-night fling morphed into a vacation-long affair when a storm strands Dax and Becca together at the resort where she works. But soon, the decision to live in the moment and not explore the past or future comes back to bite each of them as they realize they want to learn more about the other.
I thought Dax was amazing. He was smart, driven, sexy, and somehow managed to have a close and sweet relationship with his mother without being a “mamma’s boy”. I enjoyed reading him and watching his feelings for Becca grow. It was interesting to have it be the man, for a change, growing frustrated because he wanted more of a commitment. I found him to be adorable and I just wanted to jump into the story and cuddle up with him in a sleeping bag!
Becca took a little longer to get me to warm up though. She initially came across as flighty, and until we got a better look at what made her the way she was, I found myself getting frustrated by her. She seemed like a woman that didn’t want to commit to ANYTHING, simply because it would require consistency on her part. But, the more we saw of her, it was easy to recognize her failure to commit as fear.
I will admit that there came a point in the story where I wanted to smack them both for being frustrating and causing me angst while I read about both of them being too stubborn to go after what they really wanted. But overall, the story was sexy and fun, and romance sweet as candy.
This was a decent story and I somewhat enjoyed both the hero and the heroine, Dax and Becca. However, nothing really stood out making it a great book.
What happens when a one-night stand turns into two weeks of getting busy with the man that some may think is out of your league? You get to burn up the sheets with this sexy camper while stranded during a severe storm and power outage.
I loved watching Dax and Becca getting to know each other even if that was not what they were intending to do. There's a draw to each other neither wanted or was looking for.and as they get to know each other, I found myself falling for them myself.
Dax is a man that knows what he wants and as much as he wasn't looking for the love of his life... he may just get her in the form of the beautiful Becca.
This is a fun and sexy read that's for sure!!
Dax recently lost his dad and decides to take time away from McGreevies bar, which he owns, by renting a cabin in the woods where he meets Becca.
Becca is 27 and still trying to find herself while she works for her brother at Grand Lark cabins, well that was until she showed up late for work again and he fired her.
There is an instant attraction between Dax and Becca. What they thought would be a one-night-stand turned into a lot longer thanks to mother nature and the torrential rain storm that has them stuck in the cabin for a couple of weeks.
This was a fun and steamy read that was more enjoyable thanks to the wonderful narration done by Savannah Richards and Christian Rummel who really did a great job with Dax and Becca's story.
Happy Reading!!!
love this series. was funnier than most rom coms I've read. the hero was kinda lame but i still liked it up to the HEA
Can I say more. The way this book was written it had me wanting more. The characters are amazing. I didn’t want it to end.
Can there be a more perfect romantic comedy? I think not, The chemistry between Becca and Dax hits you hard and fast and keeps you speeding across the words. You can't miss the depth of character and the characters in this story. I loved it. Thank you!
This book is awesome! Dax and Becca are great characters with combustible sexual chemistry that’s super sexy and so HOT it’s a wonder reading about it didn’t melt my Kindle. What starts out as a sexy but superficial one night stand becomes a week long vacation adventure that turns into so much more than just sex. I love reading the story from both characters’ point of view because I’m always fascinated by how differently men and women approach a relationship, especially when neither person knows how the other person really feels. Dax is a what-you-see-is-what-you- get kind of guy, but Becca has all kinds of idiosyncrasies that keep Dax and the reader off balance through much of the story. I guarantee you won’t be able to put this book down until you know how it ends and I can’t wait to read the first two books in the series because this one was so enjoyable. I read a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

Well that was sweet. As annoying as Becca was with her back-and-forth and inability to commit, it was great to see how she went for things she actually wanted....mainly Dax. Dax is just looking for a vacation - time to fish and camp and in a way try to grieve his father. What he wasn't looking for was Becca, the girl who can't stay anywhere very long but cooks like a dream.
Lemmon has created this wonderful little world within the resort where you get to know the others involved. Becca's brother clearly has control issues, but when push comes to shove, he really just wants everything to work out - the business, his family - and he wants to protect Becca because he knows how she gets.
I love that Dax was insistent on making Becca decide. She had to verbally say yes. He wouldn't let her slide with a maybe or even a cute little nod. He pushed her, which she really needed, and made her see her worth, which is always a plus.
Great read and now I want those quesadillas.
What to do when a one night stand turns into a two night stand turns into a two week fling with feelings? That is the real question and both Dax and Becca are waiting for the other to make the first move. Dax is on a much needed vacation in Tennessee after months of family turmoil and brings the rain with him. Becca, after moving to New York to try her dream as a dancer and then moving again and again and again, has returned home and is working for her brother who does not give her the respect she deserves. Choice has them sharing a cabin the first night, washed out roads the second, and down trees add to the fun. The sun finally comes out eventually and choices are made and feelings come to play. This is a beautifully written story that is light and breezy and so much fun. I definitely recommend this one and it can be read as a standalone.

Dax Vaughn is 33 years old. He owns 2 bars in Ohio and he has determined what he wants in life and how to get there. After a rough time by the recent loss of his father and having his best friend crash on his couch every time he has an argument with his girlfriend, Dax decides he needs time alone to relax and recharge.
Becca Stone is 27 years old. Unfortunately, Becca has no clue how where she fits, what she wants and how to progress herself. She has been travelling around the country and comes to her brother’s resort needing money and with no direction. Becca’s brother is a total jerk. I would have liked to have seen him being more supportive and helpful to try to direct Becca to grow up. After a bad experience in high school, Becca only does one-night stands. Although I understand the fear, something is missing in Becca that others learn by going through relationships.
I was as frustrated with Becca and although I understood their initial connection, I did not get how Dax continued to try to help Becca see her own worth. They really did not know each other well after a few weeks, and I felt Dax was like a puppy constantly chasing Becca for love.
I was frustrated with both Dax and Becca throughout the book. I felt Becca needed to grow up and Dax was begging. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t what I expected.
Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review an ARC of this book and I am providing my honest review.
This was a light, fun, sexy romance and I loved it! Jessica Lemmon is fast becoming one of my favorite authors!
Having this be the last book was sad for me...I enjoyed the series immensely and while there were some thing I would change - like language and sexual situations, I overall liked the character development.
Dax and Becca - first off, while I loved their characters and the character development...I didn't necessarily like their chemistry together. At times, it felt forced and kind of best-friend like and awkward as all get out. Not romance worthy at all and then other times it was the complete opposite - it gave me whiplash sometimes. I didn't know if I was coming or going and sometimes what saved this was the storyline. Although, it's been done before this was really a different take. I think if readerrs have read the first 2 books then they'll definitely read this one.

Man Candy is another hilariously sexy book by Jessica Lemmon. I absolutely loved it!
I have had the pleasure of reading all the books in this series but this one is by far my favourite. I absolutely loved the chemistry between Dax & Becca & I was completely drawn into the story.
I definitely wouldn't hesitate to recommend this author to anyone & I will be eagerly awaiting her new releases
