Fake Wife is a good fit for readers looking for a lighthearted and heartwarming story about two people who unexpectedly find love while pretending to be married.

When recently heartbroken Teagan runs into Most Eligible Bachelor, Corbin, sparks fly and so do schemes.

The schemes become reality as we watch these two really start to fall for one another. The characters really connect, but have some serious communication issues. It kept me on edge and absorbed in the story.

Overall, Fake Wife was a fun, lighthearted book. It was paced quickly and well written. The characters are engaging and I’m very curious to see if Corbin’s friends get their stories told. I would recommend to the reader looking for a lighter story with a whirlwind romance.

This is my first book by Stacey Lynn, and I really enjoyed what turned out to be a quick, yet sweet romance.

Summary:
Corbin Lane is reeling from the death of his beloved grandma, Eleanor, so the stupor that bowls him over at the reading of her will almost incapacitates him with shock. The only home he’s ever known is in jeopardy. Unless he gets married within six months. He’s not bragging when he says finding a woman to marry would be easy with his good looks and money. It’s finding a woman that he can trust that’s the problem. Enter Teagan Monroe. Teagan’s just had the worst day in her life. She’s lost her job and her cheating boyfriend all in one day. What could make it worse? Rear-ending Portland’s sexiest, and richest, bachelor could. Knowing that Corbin is going to be infuriated, Teagan braces for hitting rock bottom. So, imagine her surprise when Corbin doesn’t start yelling and threatening to sue her for more money than she’ll likely ever see in her life, but instead offers her the craziest chance of a lifetime. She’ll be the one getting more money than she can imagine for marrying him and living with him in a mansion for two years. No intimacies. No feelings. Just a favor for some cash, and all her dreams could come true. But what happens when forced proximity ramps up the tension and the rules get broken?

As I said, this was a pretty quick read, but it was fully fleshed out romance with complex characters and a classic storyline that keeps you reading. I’m always up for a story about a fake wife, fiancée, girlfriend, etc. because they remind me of Harlequin romances which is what started my love of the genre. Teagan is a kind-hearted and loving heroine with big dreams. I really liked her. Although she is quiet and unassuming, she isn’t a doormat and doesn’t let anyone walk all over her. I liked the backbone we caught glimpses of when it mattered. Corbin was a surprise for me. In books like this, you expect the handsome, rich, wildly successful hero to be a complete jerk until his heart is melted by the heroine. While Teagan played a role in helping Corbin become who he’s always wanted to be, he wasn’t a jerk at all. He showed concern, had close friends, and felt deeply. His passion for his craft was admirable, and I loved that he was so determined to make his dreams come true instead of staying on the “easier” path. As a couple, I loved the chemistry between Corbin and Teagan. It was immediate and hot. Despite being from two different worlds, they were a lot alike, and wanted a lot of the same things for their lives. Was it wicked fast and a love at first sight scenario? Yes. Did that affect my feelings on the story? No, it didn’t. I gobbled it up. Overall, this was a sweet, steamy little escape. As I said, this storyline is a tried-and-true model, and I liked the comfort I could draw from that. It wasn’t a story that took a deeply emotional toll on me, but it was a romance with feeling. Supporting cast was great, also. I’m looking forward to reading more about Trey and Caitlin in their stories. Trey seems like a devilishly good time, and Caitlin is a little spitfire. I will definitely be looking to read more from Stacey Lynn in the future. ♡

This book was so entertaining. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and was involved until the end. The characters were complex and interesting. I found the story to be well paced and engrossing throughout the whole book. I was invested in the couple throughout the book and felt all the emotions through both the highs and lows of the story. The side characters were such an integral part of this story as well. This is the love story i needed to read at this time. If you want an entertaining and well written book this is it for you

What wasn't to love about Corbin? Teagan's life changes when she has hits Corbin's car in a fender bender. He makes her an offer she can't refuse and of course, the fake turns to real for both of them. A little quick on the mutual love especially since Teagan just ended a long term relationship over the guy's infidelity. Good read. Definitely want to know what happens with Caitlin and also Trey.

DNF @ 34%, so no rating.

There was a time when I might have enjoyed this book, but that time has passed. When will authors learn that having a strong main character, and then surrounding her with slutty weak women is not feminist. It's like they think if they make one character strong, they're doing women a service. PSA: You're not. Give us a plethora of them.

For a contemporary romance, this book was hella info-dumpy. Not to mention, it's a recycled plot that doesn't offer anything exciting in it's story line. For this reason, I'm letting it go.

I absolutely loved this book!! Talk about taking a crappy day and having it become even worse when you run your car into a man that truly is an A**Hat!! But everything happens for a reason and it seems that these two can help each other out!

What neither was expecting was to fall in love. This book is full of wit and sarcasm and an attraction that can't be denied so what starts out as temporary may just be a happily ever after for both of them.

I definitely want to read the other books in this series!!

Fake Wife is the first book in a brand-new series called Crazy Love by Stacey Lyn. The main characters are Corbin and Teagan. The genre of the book is fake marriage and it happens to be one of my favorites, so I couldn't help, but pick up this book and start reading.

The book was everything I expected from this genre, but I didn't like a few things. The main one is that Teagan and Corbin's story began too soon after she found her boyfriend of seven years cheating on her. I would have liked to have a time jump or something because it felt weird for one person to move on so quickly. Other than that I had no problem with the book and I would recommend it since it was a nice and easy read.

Teagan thinks she's having a rough day when she gets home after being fired and finds her boyfriend in bed with someone that isn't her but it only gets worse when he gets into a car accident with Corbin Lane. YIKES! But hey, Corbin's day isn't going any better so maybe they can help one another.

While their relationship starts off as a fake one their chemistry is very real. I enjoyed this read not only were Teagan and Corbin both likable but so were the secondary characters. I would recommend this book to any on that enjoys the fake romance trope. I listened to the audiobook which was narrated by Pippa Jayne and John Lane, they did a wonderful job with bringing Teagan and Corbin's story to life.

Happy Reading!!!

Fake relationship to real love.
Teagon was having worst day of her life when she ran into Corbin Lane, billionaire playboy. This day couldn't get an better until he proposed marriage.
Corbin lost only person who supported, truly loved him, his grandmother. HIs grandmother left him his favorite places in the world as long as he finds a wife within 6 months and keep the marriage for at least two years. Now he has to find someone soon so he will keep the house and property from his father's hands. So when Teagon ran into him, he felt he found the perfect person to play his fake wife.
Teagon knew who Corbin Lane was and his proposal seem perfect since she lost everything. Corbin was perfect gentleman and he seems different than what she read in the tabloids. When he offered she decided to become fake wife.
It started as fake but once feelings gets involve nothing is fake anymore. Now she will have to remind her self she can't really fall in love.
It was sweet story between two people who has burned before and who had more common to each other. I did enjoy reading and I can't wait to read about all Corbin's friends.

Thanks to netgalley and Loveswept for my ARC in exchange for honest review.

3.8 Stars. I really enjoyed Teagan and Corbin's story. Their fake/not fake relationship had me curious to see where the story was going to take us. I would've preferred more storing where we see them together as a real couple but all in all this was a very enjoyable read

FAKE WIFE - Stacey Lynn

#1 in the Crazy Love romance series

GREAT CHARACTERS - 4 stars

Plot - 5 stars - This is a predictable trope, but a good one. I love when characters are thrown together by circumstances but end up together for real. In this case Corbin is required by his grandmother's will to marry in order to inherit her home. Because he loves it, he's on the hunt for a wife. When Teagan rams the back of his fancy car, he suddenly realizes that she--a normal woman--might be the perfect solution.

Writing - 4 stars - This is a new-to-me author, and I found her writing easy to read and very enjoyable. She caught my attention right from the first page and set up the story so that I was compelled to keep reading to find out how they'd resolve their issues.

Characters - 4.5 stars - This is where the story shone for me. Corbin grew up in a very rich family, but he has a down-to-earth side where he enjoys working with wood/building furniture and the simple life. He's used to getting his own way, but he finds himself in over his head with Teagan because his feelings are taking control. Teagan is an ordinary girl who has lived a normal life, although she's used to taking the back seat in life and in relationships. She's calm and quiet and doesn't make waves. But when she meets Corbin she becomes bolder and with a lot more personality. She finds a backbone and is able to hold her own within his wealthy lifestyle. They are a great fit, deep down, and I was definitely rooting for their success.

Title - 3.5 stars - Well, it's simple and clear and definitely sets the stage for the plot.

Cover - 4 stars - A simple cover, but it draws the eye just because of the lack of too much color. Maybe I'm reading more into it than there is, but the fact that the couple is together but upside down suggests to me that their lives are turned topsy turvy, but they'll stick together and work through it.

Overview - 4 stars - Very enjoyable. This is a set-up that can be very entertaining, and this book delivered. The characters were great and each had enough back story to help me know them better. The format of going back and forth between them worked well to allow the reader to get inside their heads and delve even deeper. My only complaint was that it was a little too short. I would have liked to spend more time with them and watch them interact and grow together in their relationship. But, all in all, it's a win for me.

Fake Wife was such a fun and cute read! It had an interesting story that had several different aspects to it but somehow everything came together for a great romantic read. Teagan isn’t exactly living her life at the moment and Corbin is dealing with the loss of someone he loved and is being threatened to have something very dear to him taken away, so why not put these two together and see what happens?

Teagan just found out her boyfriend (the boyfriend who she’s given up dreams and traveled all over the country for mind you!) is the worst and on top of that lost her job. Not to mention the fact that she had to leave the apartment she was in because who wants to stay with their cheating, lying ex? No one! But everything changes when she runs into the back of Corbin Lane, AKA Millionaire Playboy of Portland, the man every woman wants to get their hands on. Ironically enough he’s dealing with some issues as well and once he talks to Teagan and finds out situation, he suddenly realizes that the woman who just rear ended his car might be the solutions to all their problems.

Teagan and Corbin were such a great couple and I loved reading about them. Being in a fake relationship usually comes with a different set of problems and I really did enjoy reading about how they came together all those problems. Their chemistry was deeply palpable and honestly made me want to rush through the book because I wanted to know what was going to happen to them so badly! I loved them THAT much.

Stacey Lynn does it again with Fake Wife and I highly suggest reading this fabulous book if you love a fake love story turning into something much more real and magical!

Fake Wife by Stacey Lynn is a fast paced, heartwarming contemporary romance that is written in dual POV. The relationship which may have started as fake, the tension and affection that rose up between Corbin and Teagan during their staged courtship was so real. Their interactions were adorable, cute and loving. The premise of the story didn’t seem believable yet the author wrote such a great story it does come off as believable and sizzling. Their unique love story will captivate the reader with the intense chemistry and breathtaking banter between the main characters. I found this a modern day Cinderella story with a twist- the story will take you on this fantastic journey. Add in the family dysfunction, the miscommunication and the ex that doesn’t seem to go away. I loved the ending and look forward to reading more from this author.

This was a pretty good book but it took a while to get into. I kept straying into other books and it just didn't have my undivided attention. I can't put my finger on it but I wouldn't tell others not to read it.

Loved reading Teagan and Corbin’s live story. There are secrets. Emotional read. Corbin needs a wife and Teagan needs help. Pretend turns real. Never judge a book by its cover. Engaging. Recommended read
