This was a laugh out loud book that had me in stitches. Stacey Lynn knows how to write a funny book, and this was it.

Fake Wife (Crazy Love, #1)

4 Stars!

Stacey Lynn is a must read in romance. Her books are a nice diverse range when it comes to storylines but whenever I open that first page, the anticipation of what I know will be sexy, sweet, romantic, and packed with all of the feels.... yeah she's an author I can devour at one time.

He needs a wife. She's his solution.
No feelings. No sex. It's supposed to be fake.
Teagan and Corbin have no idea how real it's about to get

Fake Wife was a fun, easygoing, lighter romance that I devoured on one snowy afternoon. And I gotta say y'all, I really really liked this book a lot... great banter, magnetic attraction, smoldering romance, an epic proposal, and such a great story. Stacey took a been there-done that plot and well... added her own personal flair giving it life and that captivating, addicting quality I just can't get enough of. Corbin and Teagan were brilliantly penned with undeniable chemistry and an unforgettable journey.

Stacey is someone I always say is a must read!

I divinely recommend this book and fabulous author.

This is the story of a business marriage in order to inherit the grandma’s house. Rules were sit, however broken. A little more heat than I normally read. However the ending was very good.

Fake Wife is the first book in the Crazy Love series by Stacey Lynn. Corbin is rich and famous, and grieving for the only family member that every really supported him. He loved his grandmother, and does not want her money- he just wants the home where he felt welcomed rather than letting his father bulldoze it and build a mall. The only way for that to happen is to abide by his grandmother's will by falling in love and getting married within six months. Teagan just lost her job, and in one fell swoop her cheating boyfriend and the home they shared. After packing up her car she rear ends Corbin, Portland's most eligible bachelor. An unbelievable bargain puts everything in motion, a deal that could make everyone's dreams come true. But, attraction, emotion, and misunderstandings are not the easiest to deal with and just might ruin everything.

Fake Wife is a story with a great set up, and characters that really grabbed me. Corbin might be rich, but he has few people he could trust, and the only family that every really showed him unconditional love and support has just passed away. Still reeling from the loss of his grandmother, he discovers that her will stipulates to get the only inheritance he wants, the home and land he loves, he needs to get married within six months and stay married for at least two years. When a beautiful, hot mess rear ends his car he sees the perfect opportunity to help her, and to help himself. Teagan is at a loss with what to do. She has dreams that have been put on hold because of her now ex-boyfriend, and no way to make them come true. Marrying the celebrity that she has been watching on social media, even as part of a contract that will garner her the funds to achieve her dreams, starts off as a dream but quickly becomes clouded as passion and emotion brings on misunderstandings and worries for both of them. Trying to protect themselves lead both Corbin and Teagan to jump to conclusions and make everything more challenging. I loved getting to see the pair get to know each other, and slowly reveal bits of themselves with each other. I enjoyed getting a deeper look at both of them, and liked both characters a lot- they are multilayered and I felt for both of them as I got to know them. I will admit to wanting to throttle them a few times, as they jumped to conclusions rather than talking things out or admitting their emotions to each other- all because they were afraid to get hurt. But, even then I could understand why they had their fears. I liked that there were good friends and secondary characters introduced, and built up, I only hope that we see them find their happily ever after in the books that follow.

Fake Wife is a fast, fun read with plenty of emotion and chemistry. I greatly enjoyed the read and look forward to getting my hands on the second book in this series, Knocked Up, is currently scheduled for release this summer.

While the relationship may have started as something fake, the tension and affection that rose up between Corbin and Teagan during their staged courtship was oh so real. These two were sweet and adorable, and I couldn’t help but love this story.

It’s an old trope. Guy has some reason why he needs to get married, guy finds perfect prospective fake wife, fake wife and guy fall in love while pretending to be engaged. There’s no surprise to this story, but the novelty of it is not why I enjoyed it so much. It was the author’s ability to craft such likeable characters, such sweetness in their growing affection and such a connection between two people that appeared to be opposites on the outside yet couldn’t have been more alike if they tried.

On what has to be the worst day of her life, Teagan runs into the city’s most eligible bachelor. Literally. With no job, no boyfriend and nowhere to live, Teagan is desperate. About to lose the home he loves if he doesn’t find a wife, Corbin is also needing to take desperate measures to find a woman to marry. Seeing this as opportunity knocking, Corbin propositions Teagan with a win-win situation. What neither of them expects is for their pretend romance to become so real.

Fake Wife was a perfect chilly day, snuggle under a blanket and enjoy a warm treat kind of story. It was a sweet and romantic story that makes give you the warm fuzzies and makes you feel good.

Ever imagined that the worst day of your life could turn out to be the best day ever? For Teagan, that's exactly what happened. First, she lost her job at the library, this part I liked the fact she was a librarian as it made me connect more to her character -also we are going through restructuring at work like they were which made me connect to the story stronger. She found her boyfriend of seven years cheating on her and making it worst; she banged into someone's car. That, someone, turned out to be Corbin Lane - he is one of the city's hottest bachelors and wealthy too. With nothing to lose, Corbin decides to offer Teagan an arrangement. He needs a wife and fast as he is set to inherit his grandmother's money and estate. The catch is he must be married. With nowhere else to go, Teagan reluctantly agrees and starts a "fake" relationship with Corbin. As the book goes along, Teagan discovers a side of Corbin that nobody knows and the side the tabloids don't report on. A sensitive side, a side where he didn't want to go into business but would happily be home making wooden furniture in the back of a shed. I liked this book as the other thing I loved is that Stacey Lynn made Corbin's character loveable and humanized. Often the males in the fake relationship books start off as jerks and playboys who enjoy the single life and don't want to settle down whereas Corbin's issues ran much deeper and had to do with his family life growing up and watching his parent's marriage. If you are in the mood for a fake romance/relationship novel that turns into true love, then check out Fake Wife by Stacey Lynn and fall in love as I did with Teagan and Corbin Lane.

Corbin and Teagan. I don't necessarily believe in love at first sight, but this love story really got me thinking: if you're thrown together by circumstance, is it really possible to find your one and only true love solely by accident? But then again, I guess we ALL meet our Mr. or Miss Right "by accident." In this case, "by accident" can be taken both literally AND figuratively! I loved the development of their relationship, and the struggles they faced because they were thrown together without really knowing each other... Great story!

Sweet, fun, and sexy, I loved this story! Great characters and well-written. I look forward to reading more by this author!

Oh how I LOVE fake to real romances! Combine that with Stacey Lynn' writing and I was one happy lady reading this :)

Corbin and Teagan didn't even try to fight it. The delay was them second guessing what the other felt. Corbin was really sweet and so insecure, even though he was rich and put on a confident front. It made me fall for him just as fast as Teagan did.

Even though the story line is one I am familiar with, I enjoyed Teagan and Corbin's fake fiancee romance story.
Even though Corbin Lane is the heir to the Lane Holding fortune and son to the CEO, he has just buried his beloved, quirky grandmother, Eleanor, and he is only worried about inheriting her home, Cannon Bluffs and leading a normal life. Unfortunately at the will reading, Corbin finds out that his grandmother wants him to settle down in 6 months and stay settled for 2 years before he can obtain ownership of the property. Where can he find a wife in such a short time? Well, a good candidate is about to run right into him...
Teagan Monroe has been a supportive girlfriend to her med school boyfriend, Drake, for seven years. Dropping out of college her junior year, leaving her grandmother's home in Tennessee, and following Drake to Chicago and then Portland to finish his residency, Teagan is the most selfless person you could meet. Unfortunately, she doesn't anticipate losing her job, finding her boyfriend cheating on her in their bed, and rear ending a sexy billionaire bachelor heir all in one day. She definitely doesn't anticipate the sexy bachelor to propose a marriage to her in order for him to inherit a beloved family home. Well, Teagan doesn't have a job, a home, and is short on funds so being married to Corbin for at least 2 years is not sounding too bad... That is until they actually start to live together and getting to know one another's passions, ambitions, and dreams. These two characters are quite likable and I loved the fact that Corbin was not the typical stuck up, jerk billionaire heir. Even when Teagan was at the bottom of her luck, she was still a lovely, lovable, selfless young lady and she deserved Corbin.

As of today, I’ve read this a month and a half ago and I barely remember it…

I remember rooting for the character but it was all too smooth and easy, I didn’t feel the tension, the sex scenes didn’t seem all that great either.

Still, I remember reading it pretty fast and not hating it.

Honestly, I just found it okay. but I might be curious enough to read another book in this standalone series...

I really enjoyed this book. The couple meets after the girl crashes into the guys car. They guy needs to find a wife in order in inherit his late grandmother’s home. The girl has just found her long term boyfriend cheating. She has nowhere to go when she rear ends they guy.

The story was super cute and a fun read.

Fake Wife by Stacey Lynn is a sweet and sexy contemporary romance. Poor Teagan has had a rough day. She has lost her job and found out in very graphic detail that the man she has given her own dreams up for has been cheating on her. The icing on the cake is when she is in a fender bender with none other than Corbin Lane, the richest playboy in Portland.

Corbin hasn’t had a great day either. His family just buried his beloved grandmother. In her will, she stipulated that in order for him to inherit her house and land, which has always held a special place in his heart, he must marry someone in six months. Not only that, but the land will truly be his when he has been married for two years. With his arrogant father waiting in the wings to take the house and land and destroy it, Corbin makes up his mind that he will indeed become a married man, leaving his playboy ways behind him. He just needs to find the right woman, and as fate would have it, she may have just rear-ended him.

There was nothing I didn’t love about this book. It’s like a fairytale for adults! Corbin was a knight in shining armor rescuing Teagan, giving her a place to stay and the money to help her realize her dreams of developing equine therapy for children. What is ironic is that Teagan may be just the one who rescues Corbin, showing him what real love feels like. She also really sees the real man, not the man on celebrity gossip pages. She accepts the man who wants nothing to do with his family’s business. He wants to build furniture and live a simple life in the house that holds such special memories.

Of course, as in fairytales, obstacles have to be overcome for Corbin and Teagan to move from their business relationship to one of love. They will have to learn important lessons in trust. Both have had people they love betray them. If you love a magical romance sprinkled with a bit of angst and some steam, I highly recommend reading this one!!!!!

Corbin, betrayed by his own father when he was at the university, only wants to find someone normal to get married and fulfill his Grandma’s will. However, it is very difficult for him to trust people.
Teagan lost everything she got on the same day. However, she would have never guessed that was the best day of her life and the start of a new one.
The book is well-written. The characters are well-developed and credible. I like the display of emotions from the characters, emotions that are so real we can feel them along with the characters.
The only but I have is the insta-love. I’m not very fan of it but apart from that, I did enjoy the book a lot.

I just devoured this book. I'm usually weary about insta-love, but this author made it work perfectly. The feelings between Teagan and Corbin were palpable. And the way their issues were resolved at the end was realistic. I loved the chemistry between them and the slow burn had me reading this book furiously. I especially loved the glimpse into their future. I was hoping the next book would be about Caitlin or Trey. I loved them as secondary characters. Still, the next book sounds fabulous and I cannot wait to read. Stacey Lynn just got herself a dedicated reader.

Fake Wife is under the trope of a fake relationship/love for some sort of gain (hence the name😉). This one is about Corbin and Teagan.

Teagan happens to have an epically bad day. She gets fired from a job she loves, comes home to find her boyfriend of seven years trying to park the beef bus in tuna town (on her side of the bed, no less) and finally, rear ends a car while trying to escape her problems.

Corbin has had a few bad days as well. His beloved grandmother, just recently passed away and he was just coming from the will reading. Needless to say, to retain something that means a lot to him, he must follow contingencies in her will. So, when he gets hit by Teagan, he realizes he just might have an answer to his problem.

Corbin proposes to Teagan that they marry within 6 months and stay married for a period of two years (grandma’s contingency). He will pay her an agreed upon amount of money for this time. Teagan is intrigued since she does have some long-term goals, but needs money to achieve them. Also, she is homeless right now, since leaving her cheating boyfriend.

I will say that for something that should take two years, the timing of their almost ‘insta-love’ moves rather quickly. This didn’t distract from the storyline though. Teagan and Corbin have some sizzling chemistry and are quite frankly, H-O-T together and this allows the flow of the storyline to keep one interested from beginning to end.

This was a first time read for me from this author and I’m extremely happy that Stacey Lynn popped my cherry with this book. Fake Wife was a sweet read that allowed me to fall in love with this couple and hoping for a HEA for them. They were amazing characters as individuals, but together they were fantastic.

“I’m glad you crashed into me. It’s definitely changed my life.”

Teagan Monroe is having a bad day. First, she loses her job, then she catches her longtime boyfriend cheating on her, and to top it all off as she’s fleeing her old apartment, she literally crashes into Portland’s wealthiest and most eligible bachelor. Corbin Lane’s day isn’t much better, first burying his beloved grandmother and then learning of the insane clause in her will requiring him to marry within 6 months and stay married for at least 2 years in order to maintain ownership of her home that he loves so much. But his day might be turning around when sweet and down-to-earth Teagan rear ends him. She might be just the perfect person to help him keep what’s rightfully his and in turn, he can help her out when she needs it most. But can these two keep things strictly business? Or will this fake relationship end up turning very real?

Who would have thought I’d ever fall for someone like Teagan Monroe? Not me, but hell if I’m not enjoying the process.

Fake engagement/marriage books are always a lot of fun, especially when the parties involved are complete strangers to start! From the initial meeting (which was really great in this one!) to the shock of the proposition, then the tentative getting-to-know-you phase and, of course, the inevitable feelings that start to develop. This book had all of those things and also a few surprises. I really liked how Corbin was more than just some rich playboy, he had heart and he had a passion that drove him that had nothing to do with his family’s name and wealth. He definitely had all the things you’d expect from a wealthy hero but this extra layer added depth to his character, which I really liked. Teagan was a good everyday heroine, she’s had a few tough breaks and has had her heart burned once before so it’s expected that there’ll be some reservations on her end. She did jump to conclusions a time or two which created some drama, but big picture, I think it fit with her character. There was also a bit of lack of communication between these two which I think could have prevented certain things, but it wasn’t anything too over the top. They did have great chemistry and I they were very sweet when they finally made their feelings known. All in all, this was a nice read and a fun take on the fake relationship trope!

“I don’t want to take anything from you you’re not willing to give, and this isn’t pretend, Teagan. Everything I’m feeling for you right now is more real than anything I’ve ever felt.”

On the surface, Fake Wife is a rather predictable fake-marriage story with two characters who quickly fall in love and get a HEA. But don't let appearances fool you. Like the hero of this story, Corbin, there's so much more to Fake Wife than meets the eye. The romance was sweet, and the characters were so well developed that I was rooting for them to hurry up and get on the same page and realize that something real was developing between them!

Teagen is having one helluva bad day when she runs into billionaire playboy Corbin. Literally. Like, rear-ends his Mercedes. Corbin, meanwhile, is wrapped up in his own thoughts during their meet cute, which comes a few hours after he learns that his inheritance from his beloved grandmother is contingent on him taking a wife. With Teagen having no place to call home and Corbin needing someone to come home to, he proposes a marriage pact.

The chemistry between the two characters is sizzling from the start, but there is a slow burn between them as they misunderstand one another over and over again, and statements are misconstrued. I wanted to throw my kindle on more than one occasion because I just wanted them to realize what was happening between them already! But that is what makes for a great story, because all of the misunderstandings and interrupted moments contributed to a monumental build-up when Teagen and Corbin finally, FINALLY, got over their individual trust issues, got together and admitted they were falling for one another.

I enjoyed this book so much. The underlying story is so sweet, and Corbin is so tender with Teagen. Such a gentleman. There's so much more to him than his millions, which Teagen sees practically from their first meeting. This insta-love story hooked me in right away, and I finished the book with a smile on my face.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fun, flirty book about two people in the right place at the right time. Definitely a great read if you are looking for something light and quick.

Corbin needs a solution to his dilemma of needing a wife for 2 years to get his grandmothers estate. And he needs to find someone quick.

Teagan is not having a good day, she lost her job, her boyfriend and apartment all in the same day. It has now gotten worse by hitting someone’s car. But imagine her surprise when Corbin is the person she has hit.

Corbin instantly feels the attraction between him and Teagan and decides she might be the solution to his problem and he might be able to help her in exchange.

But will their plan to pretend to be in a relationship and get married by the right decision? Or have they rushed into something that neither of them is prepared for?
