Liked this book you can relate to a lot to what happens, perhaps a case of the grass always being greener or perhaps we are always finding fault with what we have,

My biggest issue with this book is that we are just dropped right into the beginning of Hope's affair. We get one instance of where her husband isn't supportive and then she goes on about this emotional affair she's been having with an old boyfriend and it quickly moves to them going to see each other in person. I felt a strong dislike for Hope (and for Adrian, the "other man"). We don't get a chance to see why she decides to forsake marriage vows and potentially cause upheaval in her children's lives before she embarks on this affair.
First, let me say this is not a “romance book”. I don’t particularly like those sappy, happy ending, formula romance books, so if I have read it you can pretty much know this is not one of those. This is a book about a marriage and an old flame, and so much more. Ever do a Facebook search for your high school boyfriend and think – I wonder what might have been. Ever think – the grass is greener on the other side; if only I had made a different choice. Ever feel stagnated, overwhelmed, and just bone-weary tired of being everything for everyone. Choosing Hope is a story about a marriage, an affair, and a woman discovering her true self through the twists and turns of her life. It’s not a fairytale, it’s real life so be ready to follow Hope through this journey of what might have been and what really is.
I found this book quite disappointing I'm afraid . Sorry !
Though the message book was trying to convey was a strong one, the plot was really not that captivating.
Hope's feelings of being trapped in a marriage and longing for acceptance were understandable, but still her decisions really seemed weird and unrealistic to me.Entire storyline of Hope and Adrian had a teenage love story type feel, which did not match the theme of novel.
I would say it is better not to read this if you are expecting a mature story about getting along in life independently.
