I’m sorry, this was a DNF for me. This is my fault and I should not even tried to read this for a review. I am very tired of continuing stories that expect you to read the previous books to know where you are starting when you read this book. Having said this, i have read the previous books, but found i didn’t have the energy to figure out the plot line of where we stood before getting into this book. I have stated before i am not fond of Cliffhanger books, but if you are going to write one, please don’t let it be months in between the next book. I read so many books, and i just found with this one, i could not find it in me to care abut it the ending. This is nothing against the author or her writing. I enjoyed the other books, which i read back to back and how i find i should read all cliffhanger books!
This is the last book in the series. We finally get to see how Shane and Emily's story plays out. This book was full of emotions and suspense. The story picks up right after book 3 and you must read the series in order. There was plenty of drama and suspense to keep me reading. I couldn't put it down until I knew how it ended. There were times I wasn't sure if Shane was going to survive all that was happening around him. Shane was slowing losing control and if he did it would cost him his life. Nobody writes romantic suspense like Lisa does. Awesome series.
Well, the End Game is supposed to wrap up the Dirty Money Series but much like the author, I'm not ready to let go. So I'll hold on to hope that one day, we'll get more of Shane and Emily. These two have been through so much together and watching them evolve into the people that they were always meant to be has been rewarding, even though it came with a bunch of bumps and bruises along the way.
As stated before, End Game is the end of a series and should not be read as a standalone. If you haven't read the other books, stop and do that now. Trust me, you'll be starting a series that will be so full of ups and downs. You'll get sucked in and fall in love with Shane and Emily just like I did.
Bad Deeds left us on one big cliffhanger and End Game picks up right where that ended. Of course, someone dies and I will be honest, I didn't know it would stir the emotions in me like it did. I was already emotional just from the loss but then you add in Shane's reality of coping and the pain and sadness that he goes through pulled hard at my heart strings.
"I'm the only one foolish enough to invite myself to stand in the center of the storm. It's where I've always lived and where I belong."
See? My heart bled for Shane as he goes battles all of the emotions of not only the death of a loved one but facing everything that has happened in the past. Thankfully I get comfort in knowing that Shane merged into one of the best men I've read in a very long time. He's strong, confident yet vulnerable, absolutely in love, loyal and fierce. Everything he does is for his family and Emily and I have fallen in love with him just like Emily did.
And then there's Emily. She's just as strong and fierce and the only person that could ever compliment Shane. As with every book in this series, Emily continues to grow into the strong woman that we always knew she was. She's so pure and lovable that it's easy to fall in love with her like it is with Shane. I just love the two of them. Individually and together.
Overall, I've enjoyed The Dirty Money Series and End Game wraps up Shane and Emily's story in the perfect way. Even though I'm greedy and want more, I'm happy where it ended.
I can't get over some events that went down on this book, even after reading the author's note. Her reasoning was solid and I can see her point, but that doesn't mean that I liked what happened. I had built an ideal ending in my mind, but in books like this, it's hard to make ideal endings happen. The one we got through was close to one and I was happy. It was a good one and the characters are in a good place (as much as they can be). I do believe that the series could have ended in book three if it was longer. I got the feeling that not much happened in this one. I wanted more action. I hope we will get that in the next books the author plans to release this year and especially in the one that is going to feature one of the characters from this series.
End game is my least favorite book in the series because it broke my heart. It wasn't a bad book though and despite the things mentioned above, I liked it (not as much as the others, but I liked it). I wish some things had gone differently, though. I would recommend it to the people who have read already the other books, the ones who want to give the series a try and any LRJ fan.
End Game by Lisa Renee Jones is the fourth book in the Dirty Money Series, the finale of Shane and Emily´s story and is not a standalone. You must read the previous books in the series first. These are Hard Rules; Damage Control; and Bad Deeds.
End Game picks up where Bad Deeds left off. Shane took over Brandon Enterprises from his father who is in cancer treatment. Shane and Emily return into their apartement and there awaits them Adrian Martina with a proposition. He´s a mob leader and wants to be involved in Brandon Enterprise. The situation escalates and shots are fired. Shane´s older brother Derek prevents Emily from being shot and gets gravely wounded himself. And there End Game picks up. Shane is devastated to see his loved ones lifeless on the ground. He´s out of his head with worry. When new threats are made, Shane goes on the war path. He wants to atomize every enemy and threat. His emotional scars are deep.
End Game is told ina dual POV and is secluded into two parts, his POV and part two her POV.
I loved the previous books and was waiting impatiently for the release of End Game. And I was nt disappointed. The book is great, just like the other ones.
End Games is a emotional read, I needed lots of tissues. It is the epic conclusion of a great love story, excellent written and with a beautiful and well deserved HEA.
I give 5 stars !
End Game by Lisa Renee Jones is the Fourth and Final installment in the "Dirty Money" series. End Game picks up where 'Bad Deeds' left off. Derek has just jumped in front of a bullet meant for Emily and now we're at the hospital waiting if they'll both survive. OMG this is a killer start to End Game…We get to see a different side to Derek, see he actually has a heart and isn’t such a bad guy. Then on top of the drama of the shooting, Shane is trying to figure out how to get rid of the whole Martina cartel. They are causing him tons of stress and heartache and anger at the drama and trouble in his business and personal life. He has a lot of issues caused by them. On top of the cartel, Shane has to deal with his father sticking his nose into things where it doesn’t belong. As the story progresses, things are coming to a boil, an explosion between these two men …who will come out the winner here? Poor Shane, all these stresses on top of Emily… and then if that isn’t enough to deal with, he has Emily’s hacker brother sticking his fingers into the trouble pile..Emily’s brother is a hacker and it looks like he is trouble too.
When will Shane and Emily get happiness for once? Will the trouble continue to follow them or will they finally see a rainbow on the horizon for a change? Will the cartel get what they wanted or will Shane and co. make a stand? These questions and more will be answered in the final installment in the Dirty Money series. I loved the fast pace read. It was great writing by the author. She has engaging characters that make it easy to stay hooked from start to finish. The only thing I will say is that the story leaves a door open for more writing for this couple down the road. Questions are answered but other questions do pop up. There is a spin off series that is starting which I am excited for. Ms. Jones is a fabulous author and I look forward to read her next book.
My Rating: 4.7 stars *****
“I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
4 stars. This was a good conclusion to the Dirty Money series. I won’t give too much of the plot away, but I loved the way everything was wrapped up for Shane and Emily. I loved them together. They were a great couple and I never doubted their love or connection. They were sweet and sexy together.
I did feel like the ending was a little abrupt and I would have loved an epilogue, but hopefully we will get more glimpses of the couple in Seth’s book in the future. I was left with some unanswered questions about what happened with Martina, etc. I never quite understood Shane’s parents’ relationship and weird dynamic. But all in all, this was a very good series all around. Sexy, sweet and suspenseful!
What a whirlwind of tying up loose ends...
Coming off the high of the cliffhanger from Bad Deeds, I was prepared for anything, and Jones did not disappoint.
I love Emily's character because she supports Shane like many women wouldn't in the situation. She is strong, resilient, and doesn't take crap from anyone. Her support goes so deep (even emotionally), that Shane can't help but fall even deeply for her.
Dealing with loss is difficult for anyone, but conflicting feelings make it worse for Shane, especially when there are ambitions for vengeance stirring underneath the surface.
As always, I was wrapped up in the story and mystery written for these characters. Jones has a tendency to keep readers on the edge of their seats at every turn of the page. Between dangerous hackers, drug cartels, and family betrayals, the suspense is never-ending. And that ending 😍😍
The end? I don't want this to be the end, so thankfully Seth is getting his own book!
I was completely gutted, though I did see it coming. I was hoping my suspicions were wrong but the way this story worked out, it really was the best.
I love Shane and his moral compass. Even when he's trying not to follow it,he still finds himself on the right side of morality.
Emily is strong and mindful, yet she weakens just a little in this book. Although it's probably a result of life events of recent.
Make sure you have read the previous three books because you don't want to be lost! This series is wonderful and full of mystery and romance.

With the crazy cliffhanger at the end of Bad Deeds, I was dying to read End Game to find out just what was going to happen between Emily and Shane. And End Game is the perfect conclusion to this brilliant series! No one writes romantic suspense like Lisa Renee Jones!
There are too many potential spoilers for me to really write a detailed review, but trust me when I say the End Game finishes the series with a bang and you’ll certainly be pleased with the result!
End Game by Lisa Renee Jones is the Fourth and Final installment in the "Dirty Money" series. This continues the story of Shane Brandon and Emily Stevens. This really needs to be read in order to completely understand and enjoy their story line.
End Game picks up where we left of in the 'Bad Deeds' book finding out how Emma along with Derek. Shane trying to secure the family company yet not to go into the darkness about Emma. Its hard not to say to much with out given so much away. Just know that it was a great book and ending to go along with Emma and Shane's story!
Gosh, I had a love / hate about this book! I have loved the series so much and I wanted to get this book so bad but I hate that it is the last book. Although with this author great writing I just need to find more of her books.
Dirty Money series:,
1. Hard Rules:,
2. Damage Control;,
3. Bad Deeds;,
4. End Game,
An emotional, engaging checkmate, for now….
This is the fourth and final book in the Dirty Money series that should be read in order.
Writing this review is a challenge without spoiling enjoyment of the read that is to come. To every chess match there is an end game and Shane Brandon has been playing a deadly competition that was not of his making and in such treacherous waters that there was a high probability of casualties. Who survived the shooting at the end of the last book? That I will not tell you here but perhaps give an implication.
Having returned to Denver to extricate his family business from the embedded tendrils of a Mexican drug cartel Shane had his hands full dealing with an intelligent, calculating opponent who wants to use him to legitimatize his own interests. With the machinations of the Brandon family also against Shane the playing field was uneven, Shane’s had to keep numerous players in check to keep everyone alive. Meeting a woman he connected with on the deepest of levels who became embroiled with his family and came with her own potential for danger gave him something too precious to lose and that factor seriously heightened the suspense for his enemies are not unaware of who he cares for.
The explosive ending of the last book left Shane to deal with the emotional aftermath, the dynamics have changed yet he must continue to navigate a deadly situation. The darkness he fought he will have to face, the woman he loves grounded him but now hatred and a desire for vengeance take hold. Will the influence she had exuded on him keep him from crossing the line into the soulless abyss?
Two sources of danger have shadowed the protagonists, the cartel in the forefront and the hackers in the background. One has made a move and the other will eventually materialize. Can Shane accomplish his goals and keep the danger that lurks at bay without further losses? It will not be the ending intended or that he allowed himself to foresee but life goes on after tragedy whether we want it to or not.
This book is in two parts, the second dealing with new beginnings for those that remain, new aspirations for the future and further deepening of previous relationships. Do we get an HEA? I would consider the ending a happy for now and it was a little anticlimactic where the hackers were concerned. The most dangerous conflict was resolved but can you ever totally walk away from a drug cartel? Some plot threads for the sake of credibility cannot be totally closed but calm waters are ahead, for now.
An advanced reading copy was obtained from the publisher via NetGalley.
If you have been reading my blog for a while you have mostly noticed that Lisa Renee Jones is one of my favourite authors and I have reviewed quite a few of her books on my blog in the past few years.
End Game is book number 4 and it is the final book in the Dirty Money series. I have loved this series very much because there is so much going on in all the books, there are drama, suspense and HOT sex.
Just like all the previous books I could not put down this book at all because I was so hooked on the story.
I give this book 4.5 out of 5 stars.
The chess board has been set and Shane is busy trying to plot his next move. So many things hang in the balance as he juggles to find the measure of peace that has been missing for far too long. Each move is calculated. Protecting his brother, the woman he loves with all his heart, and saving his company. He has never needed to stay one step ahead of those whose intent is to take everything that he holds dear but now is the time. Will he be able to save the ones he loves or will the end game prove to be disastrous? Absolutely brilliant conclusion to this spell binding series.
Explosive Ending! Lisa Renee Jones wraps up this series in breathtaking fashion. From the very first book to the last, she has kept us on the edge of our seats and our hearts-reeling with passion, intrigue, deceptions, danger, drama and control.
The twists and turns continue as Shane tries to keep all his promises. As he battles danger and heartbreak. Will he succumb to the darkness or stay in the light. You don’t want to miss this Fantastic Ending!
Lisa Renee Jones created this world that was at times graphic and intense, yet heartfelt and all consuming and as always, I was thrilled to be along for the ride.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I am a huge fan of Lisa Renee Jones so I was beyond excited when I was sent End Game!! I dove right into this book and didn't look back! I mean come on this is the final chapter in Emily and Shane's story!
WOW this story was amazing! I feel like End Game is seriously my favorite in the Dirty Money Series! Which is fitting as it is the conclusion .....insert me crying because I don't want it to be over!
Lisa Renee Jones always writes an book that is full of so much! She fills her pages with amazing storylines, complex characters and tons of OMG moments! I highly recommend the End Game!
WOW!! What a ride! As much as it pains me for this series to come to an end, this was such a good ending. The series as a whole was so, so, so, (I don’t think I can write enough so’s) so good. There were a few times I had to put this book down; I had tears, not just any tears I was ugly crying. The emotions and heartache… but despite all that, I was very happy with the ending. I enjoyed the incredible love story between Emily and Shane, the suspense, and drama, so well written as well as the character development for possible spin offs. This series has so much depth in all the characters that is playing the game; I can’t decide who I want to see in the next series first. Shane and Emily is the perfect couple, they kept each other honest and true to not just to each other but to themselves and in this game that was a big challenge. Without giving too much away this series is worth the investment.
This can NOT be read as a standalone you must read the series in order, each book picks up where the last one leaves off. If you read out of order you will be lost. And besides this series and author deserves to be read.
***I voluntarily reviewed this ARC for an honest review via NetGalley, this is my honest opinion and has not been influenced by the author, Publishers or NetGalley in anyway.*** Thank you!
Book four and final installment in Dirty Money Series and what an ending it was.
This book brought all answers to the questions made in previous books, the story development got its final peek and the characters were written flawlessly.
I enjoyed this very very much and how it all played out.
What I was really taken aback with is one particular character that made me feel so many emotions when I thought that person was the last one on my radar.
Redemption did its justice on this character who really showed the true colors when it was most needed.
Shane and Emily are one powerful and lovely couple who doesn’t let anyone or anything stand in their way and I love how that was the silver lining through the whole series.
Adrian Martina is another character that stood out for me in this book and I am still not sure if I got him all figured out.
He has a lot of potential and I would gladly read more about him.
Yet again Lisa Renee Jones managed to pull off what she does best and is standing her ground in this genre and I love how she delivers made promises.
Another job well done and I would definitely recommend both the author and her work.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Wow! What a great ending to a great series! Shane and Emily were such a wonderful couple. The writing of this final book was so gripping. I felt like I was on a roller coaster of emotions. Ms Jones has a way of making you feel like you are right there with the characters. There was so many twists and turns in this story as well as a few shockers. Once I started reading this book I had trouble putting it down until I found out what was going to happen next. There was so much suspense and drama with both Shane's family and what Emily had to go through in regards to her brother. At times I couldn't believe the behavior of Shane's parents and how they could do some of the things they did. One of my favorite supporting characters was Jessica, Shane's assistant. Seth, Shane's right hand man peaked my interest and made me wonder what type of man he was below the surface. This was an awesome read and I was almost sad to have it end. I loved how every question was answered when it came to what would happen with all that Shane and Emily had to go through and how they developed such a strong bond that even though they went through some terrible things that bond could not tear them apart. Awesome HEA! One of Ms Jones' best series!
Wow what an amazing final book in the Dirty Money series! It is a conclusion that is most definitely befitting this incredible couple, Shane and Emily, and it picks up at the exact moment Bad Deeds ends. This is not a stand alone and is a continuing story that you must read in order. I absolutely loved this series! My emotions felt as mixed up as Shane's & Emily's as I took this ride with them. Passion, drama, emotion, tragedy; this book (this whole series) has all that and so much more! If you are looking to get lost in an intriguing world for a while, you can't go wrong with this series. As always, Lisa Renee Jones writes beautifully; I just love her style. I do hope that this is not the last we ever hear of Shane & Emily but no questions are left unanswered and I was extremely satisfied with the ending.
I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
