Thank you for providing a copy of Dirty Games by Samanthe Beck. I initially took a break from it, intending to return later, as I couldn't get into it at the time. Unfortunately, I’ve since lost interest in revisiting it. I appreciate the opportunity and look forward to exploring future titles that align more with my current reading preferences.
ughhhhh GIVE ME MORE SAMANTHE BECK!!
I love her stories, she just has a way of crafting sexy, sensual, believable characters and I can't wait for her next one!
Thank you for the chance to read this early!
Dirty Games is the story of Hollywood actress, Quinn, who is teamed up with a fitness guru, Luke, to get her in to the right shape for her upcoming role in an action film.
Luke starts off the typical alpha jerk while Quinn is the typical pretty girl with a secret. This story however is NOT typical. Samantha Beck takes us on a fun ride with off the charts chemistry, sweet emotions and funny banter. In the beginning, Quinn wants to keep her secrets on how she was injured while Luke fights the urge to fall for Quinn. The more time they spend together, the harder it is for them to fight their attraction. I loved watching their relationship morph into something wonderful.
If you love a great story with a little angst, lots of fun and plenty of sexy moments, do not hesitate to buy this book!

Well, I think I need to be honest and say I can't remember a letter of this book, nor the names of the characters, anything. Yes, I can read the synopsis, but the fact that I can't remember is telling.
I wish I could give you my opinion, but I can't, I would be lying and that's just not me. This is the second time it has happened, I hope this is the last..
This is why I can only give it 3 stars...I can't give more nor less...
Luke McLean is the fitness trainer who can whip a person in to movie needed shape in 6 weeks. As a personal favor to her agent he agrees to help Quinn Sherdain get movie action star ready. Luke has a few rules be honest, no cheating on the diet, and he is in charge always. All rules that Quinn is debating on following. Luke has to tear down Quinn mental to build her back up.
Dirty Games is a hot read. Quinn has just 6 weeks to get herself in the best shape of her life for her new action role. She had injured her knee (or more accurately, her brother injured it) and has spent the months since in physical rehab with limited mobility. So while she's now in the perfectly curvy shape that the rest of female kind would envy, Hollywood's standards aren't so generous, as the camera adds pounds upon pounds, so her agent has sent her to rehab hell in the tropics with the best personal trainer around. Upon meeting Luke, the sparks fly, but when they inadvertently insult each other, the stage is set for a not so professional relationship for the next 6 weeks. Especially since their attraction just can't seem to be denied, no matter how professional they want to remain or how much disdain they seem to hold for each other at first.
I enjoyed watching Quinn and Luke fall for each other. They're both likable characters, especially the always in control Luke, but I wish Dirty Games had been a little longer so I could have watched their relationship develop further. The ending was a tad abrupt and I didn't feel as if I got the whole story of the two. I wanted an epilogue further into their relationship so I could see how they were doing, and I wanted their initial story to be longer and more fleshed out. Other than that, though, I really liked Dirty Games. It's hot, it's sweet, and both Luke and Quinn are great characters with sizzling chemistry.
This was a great novel true to Samanthe Beck's fabulous style. Loved the tone, characters, and direction! Its getting HOT in the Caribbean!
Sexy, hot, emotional, another great story by Samanthe Beck!
Loved it! :)
LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!
An up coming actress is dealing with rough family issues, ends up injured and then due to injury falls out of shape for an upcoming role that her career depends on. A physical fitness instructor, once burned by an actress, is finally taking the vacation he's dreamed of for the last several years when he's worked tirelessly getting his business off the ground. Everything changes when a friend calls in a favor.
Loved the humor between Quinn and Luke; I was laughing out loud at times they were so funny. I appreciated that the author took things further once Quinn left the resort and didn't make it seem like everything would be perfect when she was called back to Hollywood.

Dirty Games by Samanthe Beck
Book Four of the Tropical Temptations series
Publisher: Entangled Teen
Publication Date: November 13, 2017
Rating: 4 stars
Source: eARC from NetGalley
Summary (from Goodreads):
A five figure fee. A private villa at an exclusive tropical paradise. Absolute compliance.
Top tier celebrity trainer Luke McLean demands all of the above, plus strict adherence to his zero bullshit policy. Especially when faced with six short weeks to whip a spoiled starlet into leading lady shape.
Quinn Sheridan suddenly has half the time she anticipated to turn herself into an action hero for the role of her career. Luckily, her agent calls in a secret weapon, but the demanding, drop dead gorgeous hardass fails to understand SHE’S the client. She has no problem taking direction, but Luke’s definition of cooperation feels more like complete and utter submission. And she’s tempted to give it to him...
What I Liked:
I love Samanthe Beck's books. She always has me coming back, no matter what the book is about. I rarely read the synopses of her books anymore - because I don't need to. She always writes books with interesting professions, complex characters, and steamy, shippy romances. Dirty Games is no exception. On top of the sexy times, the awesome characters, and the riveting plot, this book was really sweet.
Quinn Sheridan is an actress, and her next role demands a fit, in-shape heroine. Too bad Quinn is only just recovered from an injury, and during that time, she indulged a little too much and lost some of her muscle mass. Her agent calls in the big guns, Luke McLean. Luke is a no-nonsense fitness trainer who lays down the law and takes charge. Quinn may not like the rigorous training, but she doesn't mind being at his mercy. He doesn't mess around with actresses, but will Quinn be the exception?
Luke is the ideal kind of alpha male that I love - aggressive, commanding, and dominant, BUT also considerate, intuitive, and sweet underneath. He cares a lot about his work, and his clients. He owns a fitness company and makes it his goal to help every client become healthier and achieve their own goals. I'd never read a book with a fitness instructor as the protagonist, and so it was neat to read about. I could tell Beck did her research, because there were a lot of specifics in terms of fitness and training that were detailed in the book. Beck always chooses really interesting professions for her characters. In one of her previous books, the female protagonist is a glass blower!
Quinn is an actress; I'm going to be honest - I usually dislike books featuring actors or actresses, and I usually dislike the actor/actress. But I really liked Quinn! She isn't high-maintenance or irritating or privileged or high-strung. She's assertive and independent, and she is very motivated (for various reasons). I liked her determination and her willingness to admit weaknesses and mistakes. She was very open even when she was trying to hide her feelings from Luke.
The pair really worked as a couple! Luke with his brooding, no-nonsense aggressive self, and Quinn, with her teasing, assertive self. Their personalities fit together and their attitudes clicked. I love it when characters fit. In terms of the romance, they really REALLY fit. The chemistry is seriously off the charts! Beck always writes fairly steamy books.
But what I really liked about the romance was how sweet it was. These two don't hit it off at first, so it's kind of an enemies-to-lovers romance. Eventually Quinn starts to trust Luke and it is the sweetest thing to watch! He handles her so gently, a contrast to his rigorous fitness training for her. This book was filled with sweet moments that made my heart happy.
This book didn't have a ton of drama, though of course there was the inevitable drama at the climax of the book. But even that wasn't bad; it was a mild miscommunication, and I LOVE that Quinn knew she messed up and reached out to Luke to apologize. It wasn't him that was groveling and apologizing - it was her. WIN! She messed up and she owned it.
I really enjoyed this book. It wasn't Beck's hottest book, but it was one of her sweetest and most satisfying romances. I haven't read any of the other books in the series but I can safely say that this one is amazing!
What I Did Not Like:
Hmmm, the only thing that I can think of is that I expected a little more heat from a Beck book! Don't get me wrong, there were steamy times in the book. But perhaps I expected a tiny bit more? Especially given the plot setup (fitness instructor... private sessions... gym... you get the idea).
Would I Recommend It:
Honestly I'd recommend any of Beck's books! She has so many great books with Brazen, especially her Compromise Me series. This book (Dirty Games) is fantastic! I definitely recommend it. Adult romance readers, you should stock up on Beck's books! They are quick, steamy, satisfying reads that will make you smile and occasionally giggle.
Rating:
4 stars. This book was great! I can always count on Beck to deliver a wonderful story. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!
This is the story of Quinn and Luke. She is an actress needed to be in shape for an upcoming movie role, and he is the personal trainer assigned for the job. The chemistry between them was hot from the beginning. It is well written sexy book. I mostly liked that the intimacy was built up through the pages instead of delving straight to the sex scene. If you are looking for a quick sexy read, this book is for you. I have received this Arc from netgalley in exchange of an honest review.
Quinn was a great character, I really enjoyed the story and the relationships with her family and Luke.
Samanthe Beck is an author you read because you want a quick, sexy, very possibly dirty book...and this one delivers on that expectation.
Luke and Quinn are attracted to one another from the beginning, but, she is a client and Luke is not crossing that line. But, personal training involves a lot of contact, and the sexual tension in the book and between the characters increases as the story unfolds. And, it is a lot of fun to allow this to build.
I enjoyed this overall. It was well written and the plot was basically a sexy romp...but that is exactly what you expect. And, sometimes, that is the best fun.
The latest sexy romance by Samanthe Beck is part of the Tropical Temptation series, written by four different authors. This one takes an actress needing to buff up for her new action heroine part and pits her against her new trainer – a no-nonsense guy who has got only six weeks to get her in shape, and somehow keep his hands to himself.
Luke McLean hates dealing with celebrities, even though they’re the ones responsible for where he is in his current career as a personal trainer. If it weren’t for a favor owed to Quinn Sheridan’s agent, he wouldn’t have taken her on as his client, especially when he’d planned for several weeks of vacation in a tropical paradise. Catching Quinn indulging in some last minute treats the day before they’re meant to start working together, he’s quick to lay down the law. He just wishes she didn’t already have the body that would tempt a saint.
Quinn Sheridan knows that the weeks spent nursing a knee injury have left her a little softer in places than she needs to be for her upcoming role. With the timeline for filming moved up from 12 weeks to 6, she’s under the gun to show results, and quickly. Luke quickly becomes the bane of her existence with his rules on everything from eating, to working out, to always telling him the truth (the worst one). And she’s attracted to him too, which is doubly annoying.
Luke is clear from the outset that he doesn’t get involved with his clients. But as he and Quinn interact and they get to know each other, it’s easier said than done. Making rules they can abide by to scratch the itch works for a while, but time is ticking. Can their tropical tryst become a life long love affair?
I can always count on Samanthe Beck to provide an entertaining and sexy story! The set up for this one is such that you know these two will have a hard time resisting each other. One thing I appreciated was Luke's acknowledgment that Quinn is perfectly healthy and fit as she is, and only the specifics demanded for her role are what are persuading him to put her through an intense eating and exercise regimen. In fact, he's quite attracted to her exactly as she is now, which makes keeping things professional a challenge. As a regular exerciser, I quite liked all the training bits in this story (and may find myself using some of the tips myself!).
Quinn has a brother who struggles with addiction, and his problems affect her in several ways. It's his fault that she damaged her knee in the first place, a fact she is reluctant to share with Luke because she's trying to keep the less savory aspects of her life out of the limelight. But as her emotional condition affects her physical one, it all comes out soon enough. Luke and Quinn find a way to address the attraction between them in some sexy scenes that have them both questioning what they'll want from each other when training time is over. The conflict that crops up is one that will test their trust in each other. Luckily they sort things out and get a sweet happy ending. I really enjoyed all the aspects of this story, from the setting, to the plot to the sexy and fun romance. It's a keeper!

This one was for me a really fun book full of sexual suspense. I liked both Luke and Quinn and I loved how the Authur build this sexual suspense, how did she tease us until it did really explode. But the book is not all about that and it is not about acting or losing weight it is about finding your weakness and start doing something about it. Although a little bit unusual approach from Luke side he manages to save Quinn of her insecurity and help her finding strength. Quinn is not some shallow actress but a great person with a big heart I was just sad that she drawn to quick a conclusion and accused Luke, but I loved that she didn't let her pride get in they happiness and admitted that she was wrong.I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly
Actress Quinn Sheridan needs to get into shape for her biggest role yet, but surviving celebrity trainer Luke McLean and his strict demands seems impossible. However, she's not about to give up, even if it means challenging him. Will Luke be able to whip Quinn into shape while convincing her to give them a shot at happy ever after, or will Quinn lose the man she's falling in love with?
The first three books of this series have been absolutely riveting reads, but this story -- I believe -- is definitely the best of the four. Really, both the main characters are incredible, the dialogue was well-written and compelling, and I loved the obstacles these two had to overcome to achieve their happy ever after. The way this story started had me sympathizing with the heroine, as she discovers how long she's got to be ready for the film and how much of a dictator her new trainer is going to be. Will she be able to handle Luke's rules to getting her in shape? However, it was from the moment Luke and Quinn meet that had me reading quickly, determined to discover whether Quinn would make it or break when it comes to what Luke wants her to do.
Both the main characters were completely engaging and made this story a total page turner with their back stories, their growing relationship and the obstacles they face on their journey to happy ever after such a betrayal that causes friction between them and whether the heroine can handle completely submitting to the hero. Moreover, the heroine is resilient, determined and I liked how she challenges the hero. I also liked how she stayed strong when it came to her brother and everything he puts her through. While the hero, he's a good guy that will do anything to make Quinn forget her troubles, a total taskmaster when it comes to getting Quinn into shape, and I liked how determined he was to resist the heroine because she's his client, even though it's inevitable that they'll give into their chemistry eventually. Chemistry that is powerful and spills over onto the pages in steamy sex scenes that prove how of a match these two are.
Overall, Ms. Beck has delivered a wonderful read from start to finish in this book, which ended perfectly with how the heroine goes about winning Luke back after things go awry between them. Will the heroine's grand gesture be enough to win Luke back? I would recommend Dirty Games by Samanthe Beck, if you enjoy books by authors Cathryn Fox, Rebecca Brooks, Daire St. Denis and Suzanne Rock.
4 STARS FOR DIRTY GAMES!! This was a hot sexy read that keeps you turning pages. Samantha Beck knows how to write SIZZLING hot with a great storyline. Luke and Quinn's story was burning up the pages. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book from publisher via NetGalley.
This book was good and fun, it held my attention, though it was a bit predictable, I will however more than likely seek out more of Samantha's work.
I received an advanced copy from Netgalley and voluntarily leave my own opinion
when actress quinn sheridan is forced to get back in shape in order to be ready for the role of a lifetime in dirty games she's less than thrilled. especially when her agent forces luke mclean, secret weapon personal trainer, to assist her with her transformation. luke has done the whole hollywood thing before and isn't really interested in dealing with another spoiled actress.
but as luke works with quinn he realizes that there are some hidden depths, quinn's issues stem from emotional trauma she hasn't fully faced and luke's philosophy is a whole mind and body wellness kind than just lift some weights. he does do that, but he also looks to solve the root cause of the behaviors that cause the issues behind the weight gain or lack of conditioning.
he's also clear on the fact that he's not going to sleep with his clients but the way quinn gets under his skin, he's not sure he's going to be able to avoid this. but he also refuses to allow any skewed power dynamics affect something that could run deeper and be more significant than any relationship he's had before.
both quinn and luke have stuff to sort out, but watching them get there is well worth the read.
**dirty games will publish on november 13, 2017. i received an advance reader copy courtesy of netgalley/entangled publishing (braze=n) in exchange for my honest review.
