After Miller wasn't included in the threesome that I totally wanted in Fraternize, he ends up in bed with his best friend's sister Kinsey while drunk in Vegas.
*A threesome was never hinted at but a girl can dream*
Things never go that easy in romanceland so Kinsey ends up leaving and Miller goes on with his life. Until the next football season is upon us.
Miller is told by Kinsey's brother Jax to 'pretend date' his sister to keep her exes hands off her. So Miller gets ready for the job.
The thing is...Kinsey and her older brother Jax have a weird relationship. He is OVERLY protective to the point where I think I was grossed out.
Even after the story took a different turn and Jax had his own bang time..It just still felt kinda off in my head and interrupted my sexy time thinking.
Then we have Kinsey's character. Who everyone keeps saying is such a strong woman. Then every other page I felt like someone was having to protect her or her feelings.
The crazy thing is? I actually kinda liked the book.
Booksource: Netgalley in exchange for review.
Oh Miller what can I say you stole my heart and Kinsey your just a doll!! This book really touched my heart I don't think I've ever read a book that really reminded me of my own struggles until Infraction. The happiness these two shared was just touching, to have to go through such love and sorrow and come out smiling is what life is all about.
I received a ARC from Netgalley for a honest review.
A great conclusion to this duet. Two (or more) stories in one book.
Rachel rock it again with this story. Miller have a great heart and is an excellent best friend. The Bucks family is tight and stand for each other. Kinsey is strong and has a bigger heart.
Jax and Harley have a great connection, another great story there.
I enjoy this book a lot. Is a stand alone but I recommend read Fraternize first.
I received an ARC through Netgalley.
After reading Fraternise, I couldn't wait for this book! This is Kinsey and Millers story, we also see a lot more of Jax the overprotective big brother. This one isn't all sunshine and rainbows which is why I'm sat sniffling now. It's so good and rather emotional, the author makes us laugh one second and then start to tear up the next. I really do love these characters and I can't wait for Jax and Harley's story. Four stars.
Really good story that I often found myself reading through a haze of tears. There was a 3 way pov throughout this story that I found not at all confusion rather it added to the story. Though Miller was my favorite poor confused boy.
Infraction is the follow up to Fratnize and I have to say that this one was so funny just about every page had me in stiches and getting weird looks from my husband. But as funny as it is there were loving tender moment's and gut wrenching tear your heart out moment's.
This book focuses on Miller and Kinsey and there budding attraction. But don't worry all your faviorite characters are back. Miller and Kinsey fight they're attraction but the harder they fight it the more they are drawn to eachother. You even get to know Jax and there family. It also doesn't help that they have been "fake dating" because Jax asked them too. Will thing's go horribly wrong for them and they end up frenameys or will they give into temptation?
I haven't laughed so hard to the point I'm in tears to the next where I want to through my kindle out the window. I loved how you got to know Kinsey and Jax plus there family and also saw a whole diffrent side of Jax. This will be number one on my to reads of 2017
I’m loving this new adult series by Rachel Van Dyken following the football players from the Bellevue pro team. Book 2 ‘Infraction’ follows Miller Quinton who I adored in book 1 (most of the time). Miller’s not had it easy, his mum died when he was young, his dad’s a waste of space, and then he lost his one true love. He feels like everyone he’s ever cared for has left him, then there was that one night with his best friend’s sister! The sister his best friend is now asking him to fake date, the reason, because he trusts him not to touch her. If only he knew. So now Miller and Kinsey are sneaking around behind her brother’s back and you know, you just know it’s not going to end well. I’ve never known a brother as protective as Jax is over Kinsey, and it definitely made the book a lot more interesting and added so much humour. The story had a bit of everything, romance, friendship, family, lots of emotion and drama, and lots of sexy time. A full five stars from me. I received a free copy advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley.
In “Infraction” by Rachel Van Dyken we are thrown back into the world of professional football. This time we see Miller and Kinsey, who stepped over the edge of friendship at the end of book one. Miller knows Kinsey is off limits – especially if he wants to keep all limbs attached. But the temptation is too much especially after he is asked to “fake date” her to help keep her brothers mind on the game and her ex-boyfriend away from her.
But nothing is that easy and when a kiss turns into more it is hard to not jump in with two feet.
The book also has some returning characters, like Sanchez and Emerson along with Jax (who has his own side story here)…
I received a copy of this book through Net Galey and this is my honest opinion.
I liked this one almost as much as Fraternize (I LOVED that book!) Miller is the guy who lost the girl in Fraternize and is canoodling with Jax's sister Kinsey. Now I have to say, Miller got on my nerves more than once. I felt like he led her on, made her think something was between them and then...drops mic...walks away...
Not a fan of Miller's in this book but I sure did like Kinsey. I just wish she made him work a little harder for her at the end.
Rachel Van Dyken mixes sweet, funny and heartwarming emotion into this book and I for one am a huge fan.
I absolutely loved Fraternize so it was a no brainer for me to want to read Infraction. Especially since I fell in love with Miller in book 1 and my heart broke for him. I needed him to get an HEA and Rachel delivered on so many levels.
This book had it all, from the emotional rollercoaster filled with some tragedy, self doubt, grief and a strong sense of family. This book will call to your very soul and at the center of that for me was Miller because I absolutely loved him in this and I wasn't even sure that was possible since I already did before even reading this book.
Kinsey and Miller their push and pull and back and forth might even give you whiplash from time to time but at the very heart of this they were strongly connected and it almost seemed like they were destined to end up together.
There were a ton of sad moments in this book and one moment in particular where my heart absolutely cried out. You will definitely know it when you get to it, mind you there were a bunch of moments in here that will definitely bring out all the emotions.
There is a bonus in this book that I didn't expect and that is we get more than just one story so it was almost like hitting the book lottery here. I won't say who but I was pleasantly surprised and happy at how RVD managed to throw a bit of extra love in here.
I will continue to gobble up any books that this woman writes. She seriously can't do any wrong in my opinion.
Rachel Van Dyken has become an author that I’m happy to say is on my favourite author list. Even though I’ve started this series a book in, I’m glad to say that I’m happy I requested this book. This emotional story of life & death & family was told in such a beautiful way. Even though this story is based in the football world it shows that family isn’t just the blood running though the veins. Miller & Kinsey start the wrong way with lies & secrets but are drawn closer together when Miller is tasked with keeping Kinsey safe from an ex-boyfriend when he becomes a teammate of Miller & Fax (her brother). We also see the sadness in life as Kinsey & Jax deal with upcoming death of their dad. We follow the false relationship of Miller & Kinsey that turns into love among all the secrets being kept & the growth of them as a couple. We also get to see Jax released from the stress placed on him by himself & his duty to his family & his team. I also enjoyed seeing him lose himself with Harley, I’m hoping that there might be a story on them. Definitely recommend.
Wiping the tears away as I write this one, Wow did Infraction get me. Rachel Van Dyken has me crying both sad and happy tears. That is a very good thing. I liked Fraternize (book 1) but Infraction is just amazing. I love this book. You get Jax, Kinsey and Miller as the main focus in this one but still have Emerson and Sanchez too. So yes the gangs all back and wow does the chemistry just sizzle between Miller and Kinsey. I love how Jax is so protecting of his sister Kinsey. And its amazing to see all these big football players to fall in love. Rachel Van Dyken did an amazing job and really left me a bit speechless with this one. This is a must read book and series for all you football loving readers out there.
Rachel, you did it again! Another fantastic book. I want to be friends with everyone in this book. I absolutely loved it and hope there is a third one on the way (Jax and Harley)!! I think your writing style is amazing. When I pick up your books, I don't want to put them down.
keep them coming!!
The story was good engaging I wanted to know what happened so I kept reading but honestly sports stories just isn't my cuppa tea and I couldn't get into it like I should have.
RVD couldn’t write a bad book if she tried!Infraction was a funny, sweet, romantic, and emotional book
If I had to describe Infraction in one word it would be PERFECT. This book was such a fantastic read giving us more of the characters we have come to love from reading the first book in the series. Even if you haven't read the first book in this series, you will still fall in love with these characters and their story, making you want to grab and read the first book as soon as possible. This book gives us Miller and Kinsey's story and what a story it is. The attraction and chemistry between these two was undeniable and irresistible. Their story truly gives readers all the FEELS, we want when reading a book. My heart raced, I laughed, I had tears and I ended this story with the biggest smile on my face possible. I enjoyed every character in this book and truly enjoyed the moments with Kinsey's driving and Harley's grandmother. However, the moment that truly touched my heart happened in the hospital and once readers read this book they will know the two moments I'm talking about. This is a story of love, loss, brotherhood, friendships, forgiveness, strength and most importantly family. I highly recommend this book to all readers. THIS BOOK DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!!! I definitely can't wait to see what story this author comes out with next because it will definitely be on my to read list.
Took me a while to finish this book. I just did not like the book enough to give a higher rating. It might have something to do with the fact I never read book 1. The story for me was not romantic enough and it seemed more about others than Miller and Kinsey.
The writing was good, but the storyline just not my taste.
I received an ARC from Netgalley and this is my honest review.
So this is the second in this series, and we have Miller's story, with Kinsey. Kinsey is head cheerleader, she is also Jax's little sister and Em's friend. There story is complicated, Miller is still getting over Em, and now he is going to play Kinsey's boyfriend as a favor to Jax, but what Jax doesn't know is that Miller and Kinsey are attracted to each other, and had spent a night together, and now they have to keep it under wraps. There is more issues involved beside hiding from Jax, and heartache..we also have new characters in the mix..never dull my friends.
An exceptional and emotional rollercoaster ride! What I'd expected to be a typical football story with an alpha ball player and the woman who was to make him a better form of himself, was anything but that. There is so much heart in this story that you can't help but find yourself with a lump in your throat and tears in your eyes.
There are life lessons threaded throughout, but written in such a way that they give the story substance and perhaps will speak to you, as they did to me. I've read so many of Ms Van Dyken's books, each I've enjoyed, but this one though has left an impact that will not be easily forgotten. To balance out the emotional is the hilarity delivered by Sanchez...he is the king of quips and one liners. He brought the light to the darkness that otherwise could have overtaken the story, his comedic timing was pitch perfect.
This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
This was a quick read for me and that's because it was so good!
I loved the first book and was totally torn between both guys! I love them both! I felt so bad for the H who was left behind (don't want to mention any names so as not to spoil it for those who haven't read book 1 yet). And the H that did get the girl in book 1, well he just makes me smile like all the time! Grinning like crazy.....like a big idiot! Lol!
The h in this book was perfectly capable of handling this H I loved how it all played out.
Seriously, these people are real and I love their football "family"! When they would all get together, their reactions and comments made me laugh! I could picture sitting in the room with them it was so reall!
Great series.... and SOOOO LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT ONE!
