This is the second book in the playmakers series. I loved Miller in the first book. He was probably my favorite character in the series. In this book, you get a more up close view of him and I found myself liking Jax a little more. I did enjoy this story, it had all the feels but I liked the first one better and am hoping for Jax story next.

RVD does it again. This book has it all – second chances, lust, love, romance, humor, devotion, friendship, heartache, loss, healing. Miller and Kinsey’s relationship is different. They were friends before they were one-time lovers. Now they want to be friends again. They have to if this relationship is going to work. There is a problem though. They want each other badly but it’s complicated. Miller has had his heart broken before and is scared that it will happen again. Kinsey has been hurt in the past too. She has a past that not many know about and has been hurt once by Miller before. Can she trust him enough to risk her heart again? Plus what about Jax. What will he do if he finds out about what happened in Vegas? What if he figures out the kisses are not just for show but for real? Overall it is a fun journey.

Rachel Van Dyken has always been a one click author for me, I absolutely love her writing style, the quirky., lovable character and the hilarious situations they find themselves in!!!
Infraction is the follow up book to Fraternize, so it was so much fun to revisit all the fun, crazy friends from book 1!!!
Infraction was filled with lots of emotional, heartbreaking moments, breathtaking kisses and friendships that we should be so lucky to find!!!

***4 "Chicken & Waffles" stars***

And this was the second book in the "Players Game" series.... and it was just like the first one...
Funny and sentimental at the same time...
I had moments that i was laughing my ass out and some other times that i was smiling sad...
But this ride was too so enjoyable...

This time we had a fake relationship (or not?), an overprotecting brother and forbidden romance, since the girl was his best friend's sister.... and of course, this was a sports romance!!!!
So, put your belt on and enjoy the ride!!!

“Sometimes, all the heart needs to feel better is a reminder that somewhere else, other hearts are still beating despite being mishandled, broken, abused—sometimes, you just need to experience love in its purest form . . . even if that does sound like the most jackass thing to say.”

Well, it was about time for Miller to find his HEA, since in the first book he lost the girl...
But in the end of the previous book, he found a new girl and he lost it on purpose because of his fear...
Now, he is forced to fake date this said girl with the blessings of her brother....
Hmmm, not good choice, Jax!!!! Bahahaha

"Kinsey. The one girl that was off-limits - the one girl I couldn't seem to get enough of.
The type of woman that made a man feel at his best -even when he was at his worst."

Kinsey's biggest problem is her overprotecting brother, Jax, who doesn't live her alone at all...
But recently, life added a new problem in her path and that problem have the name: Quinton Miller.
The hot football player who is best friends with her brother and who recently lost the girl he loved for most of his life...
Miller slept with her before many months and then, he made her leave and she is quite mad with him, even though that she had the hots for him...
Now, they are forced to fake date and the things are getting complicated...

"What was it about him that felt that way?
He was genuine.
Loyal.
But definitely not safe. Not safe by a long shot.
No, the way he felt was very different from the reality of what he was -a dangerous man, one I was stupidly falling for more and more even though I'd been twice burned by him."

Kinsey wants more of Miller, but she knows that if she'll give in his charm, she will end up heartbroken...
And Miller even though that he liked very much Kinsey, he is afraid to let her in, because all the women in his life went away...
So, what will happen with those two???
Will the past break them apart??? Or Jax will have the honor???

"So yeah, I felt guilty. Guilty that I was lying, yet confused as to why it felt like I was lying to myself more. {Miller}

"Life is full of selfish choices.
Quinton Miller was mine."{Kinsey}

Well, i liked very much how Kinsey and Miller were between them... They were so right for each other... But both of them were having their issues...
Also, these two weren't the only couple in this book...
Jax had a part in there too and guess what???
There was a girl for him too!!! And i loved how they were together...

For once again, i laughed very much with Kinsey, Miller, Jax, Santchez and Em...
This bunch was amazing!!! I had such a great time with them...
And i loved how close they were between them...

Tears were shed, some from laughter and a few because it was so d u never want to leave.

This is book 2 in the Players Game series but can be read as a standalone, but you do meet these characters in Fraternize, and that book gives you some background on Miller especially.

7 months ago Kinsey and Miller slept together, now it is avoidance and ignoring and that is easier said then done. Jax is overly protective of his little sister and wants NO football player to date her. Miller has been keeping this secret for 7 months and it is hard, and the chemistry is there and they are drawn to each other. Kinsey and Miller end up having to "pretend" to date per Jax, and the hilariousness of this isn't lost. Boundaries and willpower is tested and it is AMAZING to watch (read).

The author does a great job of setting up a very entertaining story that you never want to end. You feel for these characters, every single emotion. And this book is more then just Miller and Kinsey, we get a lot about Jax as well (and even some chapters from his perspective). I love the "Family" this football team is and you just want it to always be that way. Having each other's backs. Kinsey as a cheerleader is in a way on the outside and her brother wants it to stay that way. Truths come out and pain is felt by every single person and you will cry with these characters and you will then cry because it is over and wonder when you can read about them again.

If you love a good best friends little sister book or even a good sports romance, this is an AMAZING combination of both that will leave you both satisfied and wanting more.

Rachel Van Dyken is an amazing author! I loved this book! I loved reading Miller and Kinsey's story. This book was full of emotions! This book was about so much....love, loss, second chances, hurt....the list goes on. It wasn't your typical football player gets the cheerleader kind of book. It brought out so many emotions while I read it. It gave me all the feels I crave as a reader!

Rachel Van Dyken is one of my favorite authors. She can do no wrong! I really liked this book. I think I liked the first one better, but I still liked how this one turned out.

We were introduced to Miller and Kinsey in Fraternize. While I loved that story this book
Made me fall for Miller even more. It doesn’t hurt that we share the same last name. I felt like Kinsey was put through so much and I am so happy she came out on top. I was happy to see some more of her background and it really explained why her brother is so protective over her and why she allows it. I’m also very happy with the fact there didn’t seem to be this huge conflict 3/4 of the way through the story that broke the main characters up. It was nice to have them consistently work towards the end goal and I feel like they seemed to talk and work through issues soon after problems arose. This book was told mainly in dual POV but every once in a while we would get Jax’s POV. I loved getting into his head and seeing things from his prospective. This book will definitely be getting a reread in the future.

Oh geez! Rachel Van Dyken has the ability to make me feel butterflies and cry my eyes out all in one book! Shes is a magical evil genius. This book falls in line quite nicely with Rachel's previous work. It provides laughs, giddiness, and then punches you with emotion. That's a good thing I promise. Love it!

Kinsey was one of my favorite characters from the first book in the series, and I was excited to see she and Miller are the protagonists in Infraction.

It seems at first to be a pretty straightforward romance book, but there is a lot more to the characters and plot. Family, mortality, and learning to trust others and oneself play a huge part in the shaping of the characters and their growth throughout the book.

I really hope there are more books planned for this series!

I really enjoyed this story. Finding love after heartbreak is hard. I love that Miller was able to find love, and in the end get Jax's blessings. The will they/ won't they keeps you intrigued and makes putting the book down almost impossible.

Great banter, wonderful chemistry and fantastic characters - this book had everything I look for in a romance. I love the way this author writes banter - it's laugh out loud funny but also can be really sweet. I'm looking forward to reading more by this author soon!

Ahhhh, here we have Miller's story. We got good parts of him in the first book. This story is actually, kind of, a two for one story. Because with Kinsey and Miller's story, you also get a Jax's story. He is, after all, Kinsey's older, over protective brother and quarterback for the team.

Celebrating their league win in Vegas, Kinsey and Miller hook up. Only to have Jax storm in with concerns of Kinsey. Luckily, they weren't caught, but an ex-boyfriend of Kinseys has been brought on board with their team. To keep her from falling back for the ex, Jax suggests that Miller help convince her to head to Europe for the summer. And when she comes back Jax is still trying to protect her with the suggestion that Miller and Kinsey pretend date so the ex will back off.

The problem is that there are underlying feelings. So can they fake it? Or will it become more? Def one-click to find out!

This book is the second book in The Players Game Series. Although some will say it can be read as a stand-alone I would highly recommend reading book 1 Fraternize. I have to say I was a little skeptical on how this book was going to play out... my heart was broken in book 1 for Miller... so I wasn't sure how I would take him being with someone other than who I thought was his soul mate.. but I was pleasantly surprised on how much I enjoyed Kinsey's character and fell in love with her to.

I will not bore you with the same stuff everyone will say about this book, or repeat the synopsis, or even give you a little tease... I will just tell you its RVD writing this so you know you have to read it and it will be worth your while for sure!

I would give this book a 4 stars and highly recommend to others. I have to say I actually enjoyed this book more than I did the first one.... so get your one clicking fingers ready and see if Miller will get his HEA after all?! OH and lets see if you like Kinsey as much as I became to adore her!

This story wouldn't be enough unless there was a lil surprise inside, its like a 2-4-1 special... you have to pick it up to see what I am talking about!!

I really enjoyed this romance and look forward to going back and reading the first book. And I'm eager for the 3rd book to come out since it will wrap up quite a bit that began with this novel. I've been reading a lot of romances with the overprotective brother trope so I was concerned this one would be just another book with that trope. And yet, Rachel Van Dyken really delivered a unique and interesting novel with this one. I thought the storyline was well done and the couple at the center was really well done. It has a little bit of it all - humor, romance, etc. I really enjoyed this couple and all of the characters surrounding them. I really liked the world that was created here and I can't wait to go back to visit!

I received a copy of this book from the author.

Oh my gosh! This book is hilarious. I love these characters. So Fraternize is the first book in the Players Game. Infraction is the second. Both are stand alone novels however. While I struggled with Fraternize I had no such issue with Infraction.

The same characters show up in Infraction and they're all more like a family now instead of a group of strangers. In this edition we have Kinsey and Miller. These two are a complete match! I mean Kinsey's brother is the team QB and knows more about football than most females. Why wouldn't she be the perfect player girlfriend?

There are issues of course. Kinsey has several secrets but one thing she has is a psychotic ex-boyfriend who happened to join Miller's team for the season. Miller is determined to help keep the buy guy out of the picture and win Kinsey's love and trust.

Different type of game, yes? There's a whole lot happening in this story. Some very serious topics. Yet the characters keep the story from being too heavy with their funny banter.

I really enjoyed this edition of Players Game. I hope you will too!

Infraction is the second book from Rachel Van Dyken's Players Game Series. It actually picks up right where Fraternize left off, letting us not to be mislead or miss from the first book.

I have read a lot of books from this author and while I loved her Eagle Elites, This new series from her, a sports romance, impressed me. This author never fails to blow me away!

We've met Miller in book one and ever since I've been dying for a book for him. I loved how he was with Kinsley. I also loved Kinsley's character. Very strong willed plus she's not annoying.

This book is a combination of fun, excitement, sexy times but there's tears and heartbreaks too. The friendship from all of the characters are very heartfelt. Rachel Van Dyken is really a SUPER!

Written in the first person, multiple POV.

I would like to thank Skyscape, Reachel Van Dyken and Netgalley for giving me a chance to review this book in advance.

4 Stars

Infraction is the second title in the Players Game series, a second chance romance, that also fits a brother's best friend and sports romance tropes. This title is as heartfelt as it is humorous, taking you through a gamut of emotions.

What starts as a simple arrangement to keep Kinsey's ex at arms length, gets complicated very quickly with the intense chemistry, attraction and connection Miller and Kinsey share.

The banter between Kinsey and Miller is fun, flirtatious, witty, and full of humor. The constant push and pull of their relationship and the way in which they challenge yet support each other creates an engaging and entertaining plot.

All the characters are quite endearing and quirky, but Jax, Kinsey's older brother takes it all a tad too far, he's way over the top protective, and at some points its borderline crazy. I hope we get his story next as he's quite intriguing as loony as he appears.

I look forward to future titles in this series.

Infraction, Rachel Van Dyken’s newest read in the Players Game series is a quick read that you will fall in love with, especially if you loved Fraternize. When I’m lookin for something quick but meaningful I always pick up a RVD read because I know she won’t disappoint! This heartfelt story will leave you feeling inspired and in such good spirits; everything about this book was amazing. If you want a book that will connect you instantly with the characters, show you how humorous banter and heartfelt sentiments can uplift you in a way that only a good book can, then you need to read the Players Game series now.

“Because life isn’t full of people who are willing to save you-sometimes, all you have is you.”

This installment focuses on Kinsey and Miller, but even with that said you still get the other characters pretty frequently as well. That’s another thing I love about this series, Rachel shows you a group of people intimately woven together to form this tight-fitting family that you just want to be a part of. If you’ve read the first installment then you know that Kinsey is another cheerleader and Miller is a football player, the one’s who made a “mistake” at the end of Fraternize to be more exact. Infraction kind of picks up where Miller and Kinsey left off.

“Friends. Remember?”

I crossed my arms. “Most of my friends don’t seduce me behind potted plants.”

“That’s why I’m your best friend.”

After the whole mistake thing back in book one, Kinsey and Miller decide it would be best to stay away from one another, but Jax, Kinsey’s way over protective brother and quarterback of the football team, has other plans. He needs Miller to watch after Kinsey due to some circumstances that leave Jax feeling overwhelmed and out of control. This is the not-so-good nail in the proverbial head for Miller and Kinsey becasue they can’t be just “friends,” especially since Jax wants them to fake date. In Jax’s mind this is the perfect setup to keep Kinsey safe from her ex, and now member of the football team, Anderson because he thinks he can trust Miller not to move in on his sister. However, with the fiasco from the first book and given their amazing chemistry together the fake dating becomes very real to the both of them quick.

Through all of this Kinsey and Jax are truly tested, in not only the relationship aspect of their lives, but also in their family. I loved watching Jax evolve into someone he didn’t think he was capable of being. Kinsey’s strength in her own self discovery made me love her even more, and Miller really is a good fit for her. I loved everything about this book; I only wish Rachel would have given us more on Kinsey’s backstory because I found it very intriguing.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I hope there is more to come!

When I received Infraction from NetGalley for review I was so totally excited I could barely contain myself. I have been waiting so long for this book. It was like torture. I met Miller and Sanchez in Fraternize and immediately fell in love. Who wouldn't? *sigh* Super hot guys and let's just all admit we wanted Em to choose them both. 🔥

Infraction focuses on Miller and Kinsley but we still get a ton of Sanchez and Em...and that's not all. JAX! We get Jax! Jax meets a .... girl. Oh my. Harley is so great. She has a grandma. 'Nuff said. 😂

But this book...good golly grief!! It literally broke my heart. In the best possible way. It has all the feels. But it left me freakin' sobbing. Such a beautiful, wonderful book.

I just want to be best friends with all these people. They made me laugh out loud and have all the good feelings. I really wish we could have more books about these characters.
