This is a sweet romantic Amish story based on long-lost love letters. Ivy and Noah discover the letters as they are reluctantly cleaning out Noah's aunt's attic. Cevilla is an old maid who is both quirky and highly persuasive. Ivy and Noah are determined not to fall in love while Cevilla cheerfully plays matchmaker.
Readers will enjoy following along as things are revealed to them.
I am rating this book 4 stars. While it is book three in the Amish Letters series, it can be read as a standalone with no problems in comprehension and understanding.
I received a digital version of this novel from netgalley and Thomas Nelson Publishing in exchange for my honest review. I was not required to write a positive review and all opinions expressed are my own.

Wow! Words from the Heart is now my favorite book in Kathleen Fuller's An Amish Letters series. I just love Aunt Cevilla with all of her meddlesome ways. You just never know what she'll do next to pull her nephew, Noah, and Ivy together. I love how the letters again in this series bring people together. The world needs more letter writing! This book can be read as a stand alone novel, but I'd vote for you to start at the beginning of the series. You won't be disappointed with Kathleen Fuller's writing in this series.

Ivy Yoder is still pining her lost love,John King. Her aunt, Cevilla Schlabach, requests that she clean out her attic.. Cevilla’s nephew, Noah, is an auctioneer and travels statewide. Ivy is unaware that her aunt has requested Noah’s assistance in this task.
What treasures will they uncover as they sort through a lifetime of memories, and what is the history behind them? Follow the story as Ivy uncovers a bundle of love letters written during the Korean Wat. What will Ivy and Noah discover about life, loss, love, and new beginnings? I really enjoyed reading this book, and liked the way the author interweaves four lives, and the past and present together.

I want to be stuck with you. Forever! This is where mei heart lives.

I have grown fond of the people in this sweet Amish community. It is thoughtful, sweet, and simple. This romance starts with a loving Aunt Cevilla wanting her favorite nephew Noah to find love in the perfect young woman Ivy. To get them together, she has a job that will take their own unique gifts to accomplish. Noah is an auctioneer and sees value in old items. He lives in a different Amish district but loves to visit his favorite Aunt whenever he has the opportunity. Ivy is practical and sees things in a sentimental way. She lives conveniently down the road from Cevillia.

Cevilla has an attic full of boxes waiting to be discovered. Together Noah and Ivy discover more than old memories of another time, but love that is worth fighting for.

Relationships are not easy and they are not easy in the Amish community as well. This budding romance brings out Noah and Ivy's fears but as they discover they have a familiarity with each other that is accepting and feels like home. Ivy being a single woman with no relationship prospects understands that she must be comfortable with herself before she is led to any relationship that leads to marriage. I was very drawn to that attitude and how she discovered that for herself. It brought a confidence that led to a strong faith. She had a balance of heart and head that I found to be wise.

Noah had a drive that is rare. It was drive to be successful in his business however, his devotion to his aunt caused him to think on the things that are valuable. That it is never good to do life alone. We can have a pride that looks like the right thing but when it allows us to push others away, we miss a blessing that comes only from God.

Cevilla had her own past that she shared with Noah and Ivy that helped them take the steps of faith to trust and to open their own hearts to love. Her own words from her heart was the catalyst they needed. She was a delight and the spunk that added to Ivy's and Noah's story.

A Special Thank You to Thomas Nelson and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

Get ready for a touching love story of lost love letters, fragile fears, and the beauty of taking another step forward. Join Ivy Yoder and Noah Schlabach in the attic as they discover a bundle of letters with a neatly tied red ribbon and uncover a lost love in Kathleen Fuller's Words from the Heart.

I have loved this series from the beginning, particularly the role the letters have played, but this one might just be my favorite of them all. There is undoubtedly a connection between Noah and Ivy and I enjoyed the way Fuller made this story unique.

Ivy had plans of marrying John King but hasn't heard from him in over a year, so those plans seem to be slipping away. On top of that, she feels embarrassed being one of the oldest single women in the community.

Noah played an interesting role in this story. He is an auctioneer, and I enjoyed reading about his profession. Noah doesn't live in the same community as Ivy or even the same state, but his aunt does and she asks him and Ivy to help clean out her attic. Noah hopes to find some exciting things in the attic and with his auctioning experience, he knows how to value the items they find. What neither Noah or Ivy plan to find is a bundle of letters written during the Korean War.

Pretty soon Noah, Ivy, and I were swept up in the story of two young people falling in love. I'm pretty sure my favorite scene in this book was Noah and Ivy reading the letters, and I was glad I was able to be on that journey with them. The letters were touching and pulled at my heartstrings.

Words from the Heart was a beautiful and engaging story. Fuller transported me right into the pages of this book and created characters who were personal. This story was an excellent installment in her Amish Letters series.

". . . I know you said you don't want to fight for us. That's okay. I'm strong enough to fight for us both."

I love mail. I love it when I receive a personal note, especially at this age when emails and text have taken away the art of face to face conversations, as well as the art of writing. There's also something beautiful about waiting for a letter, a response. Don't you think? And I think that's why I've enjoyed Kathllen Fuller's Amish Letters series. In the latest installment, Words from the Heart, it reminded me all over the lost art of letter writing.

Words from the Heart, aptly named have risen to become my favorite of the series, which was pretty hard to do, considering I couldn't decide between book 1 or book 2 as my favorite when I read them. The letters between our main characters started off as something between friends, a 'thank you', but it quickly progressed to something more from each of their hearts. It's about shedding the burdens in our heart with someone who cares. And that my friends, is priceless.

"Whatever he's burdened with, please make it light."

I started this story, not expecting to finish it in one sitting, and surprisingly, I did. I just kept going and before I know it, we've come to close. I think it has something to do with feeling connected to either Noah or Ivy, at different times of the story. And in both, there's a message of faith, of waiting and of surpassing fear. Isn't that something we all deal with? I get it. Waiting takes faith, and faith also conquers fear. Sometime, we just need to wait, and let God.

"Always give God a chance to work.."

Words From The Heart is just that, special precious words from the heart that were written a long time ago and put up in an attic that GOD had put away for when HE wanted them to be brought out and seen by whom HE Ivy her to go and help Ivy pack up the Attic of his Aunt's Attic - guess who else is packing it up? who gave up on love, Noah who's too busy for it. Aunt Cevilla makes Noah promise wanted them to be use by at the perfect time for a perfect use. HE has HIS perfect HIS perfect plan don't ya know. Now, you have Ivy who gave up on love, Noah who's too busy for it. Aunt Cevilla makes Noah promise her to go and help Ivy pack up the Attic of his - guess who else is packing it up? yup you are right, Ivy .and guess what they found - yup the love love letters GOD wants to use. Does it work? Well satan tries to ruin it by causing something to Noah. Will he let it get in the way? Will Noah run or will he let the love letters GOD set away do it's work?

At 28, Ivy Yoder feels forgotten in the romance department. All of her friends are married and most have children. When the book-binding business she works for closes its doors, she's pretty sure God has forgotten her. Then, her neighbor, Cevilla Schlabach, gets a shipment of boxes from her English step-mother's estate and she asks Ivy to help her nephew, Noah, sort through them.

Noah Schlabach is an Amish auctioneer. He travels all over during auction season, making a career out of something that most Amishmen would consider a hobby. When his favorite aunt asks him to sort through an attic full of boxes during his winter break, he can't tell her no. Her only stipulation? He must work with Ivy Yoder.

As Noah and Ivy work together to sort the good stuff from the junk, they discover more than a strong friendship. However, Ivy is wary of getting involved again. Her last long-distance relationship fell apart the minute she was out of sight. What will happen with Noah once he returns to his home in Iowa? Noah is also keeping a secret from both Ivy and his aunt, a secret he feels is a deal-breaker for any relationship with Ivy. Can he put her out of his heart or will he break both of their hearts by keeping his secret?

When Ivy discovers a packet of old love letters in one of Cevilla's boxes, the two of them are given permission to read the story enclosed in the letters. As they take turns reading, will their feelings for each other parallel those in the letters?

Words from the Heart is book 3 in the Amish Letters series and it touched my heart. Many of the characters are familiar from Ms. Fuller's Amish of Birch Creek series and it was nice to read about how their families have grown in the ensuing years. I liked Ivy's independence, her ability to stand up for herself (even though, at 4'11" tall, she's pretty tiny) and her strength of character. She wasn't willing to settle for less, whether it was a man who loved her with his whole heart or a job that she felt called to do.

Readers of Amish fiction will enjoy this story and if they love romance, too, this should be on their TBR. Once I started this book and got about three chapters in, I couldn't put it down and finished it in an afternoon. I love Kathleen Fuller's work and would definitely recommend this series.

A sweet story. I enjoyed the getting to know each other and way they came together thru adversity. Sometimes the older kinner really know what life is about.

Words From The Heart is another great read by one of my favorite authors of Amish Fiction. The characters are interesting and make you want to follow their every move. In this story, I especially liked Cevilla, an elderly single woman who thinks it's her mission in life to play matchmaker for her nephew (Noah) and a lovely girl (Ivy) in Cevilla's district.

She's really comical the way she goes about it and you want to keep reading to find out if her antics work. Do her antics work? She has a plan in place and, when Noah comes for a visit, proceeds to carry it out.

When it looks like things might be going the way Cevilla wants them to, Ms Fuller throws a wrench in the story. Find out what it is and what, if anything, happens between Noah and Ivy!

This is the third book in the Amish Letters series but can easily be read as a stand alone. Like the two previous titles in the series there is an interaction between characters through letters both in the past and in present times. In both cases it is a sweet romance. I could not turn the pages fast enough to see how Noah and Ivy's story played out. Neither was looking for love but God had a say in that and gave them a little nudge . Noah promised his Aunt Cevilla Schlabach he would help her with some heavy boxes in her attic and she is now making sure he keeps his promise. No one says no to Cevilla, she just has that personality that no one dares to not do what she says. I loved being back in Birch Creek and catching up with characters in past books. It's pretty obvious Cevilla is doing all in her power to get her nephew Noah and Ivy together and even they know this but are both too hard headed to admit it.
When Noah starts having a health problem he does his best to hide it from Ivy and his Aunt. He feels unsure of himself and doesn't feel like he is good enough for Ivy . His Aunt and Ivy tell him not to give up and fight for what he wants and that he's not a quitter. Will he listen or just give up and leave town like he wants to do? This book really made me run through my emotions. It made me happy, sad, hopeful and inspired. Shows how fragile love can be unless nurtured!
Beautiful story that I really loved!

In this third book of the Amish Letters series, Ivy Yoder is matched with Noah Schlabach by his Aunt Cevilla. She insists they must work together in her attic to sort through piles of boxes that came from her step-mother, who was not Amish. Both Ivy and Noah had been hurt by those they thought they loved, so neither wants a romantic relationship. Feisty Cevilla does her best to light the flame of their match, but circumstances seem to extinguish any flame. Will the two ever get together as she hopes? The couple finds an old box containing love letters from World War II. Reading these throws some light on his aunt’s past, but could the letters help guide their future? An intriguing story that will touch the heart. The characters and setting seem quite real, and they continue to live in your thoughts. This book could stand alone, but is much richer when you’ve read the other two first and know the continuing characters’ back story. I received a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
