This books brings closure to the tale of Casey and her run from the cops trying to kill her. In book one, she had evidence about dirty cops. Through the three books, those cops are trying to find and murder her in the hopes of the evidence disappearing along with her. However, Dylan (a war veteran with PTSD) was also hired to track her down. This book wraps it all up.

I enjoyed it. I liked both Casey and Dylan and was rooting against the evil cops. I think some of the scenarios were fairly preposterous, but I was invested in the story enough to suspend disbelief. There were some surprises in this book that I didn't expect. All in all, it was a great conclusion to the series.

I will say this one was a bit preachier than the rest of the series. I was fine with it, but it could be off-putting to some.

Do start with book one though. This is a series you can't read out of order.

I received this book as an advanced copy from NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I have read the other two books in the series and loved them, I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next.. The flow and the characters were great, I didn't want the book to end.

I really liked this book and the characters! Casey Cox is a fugitive running for her life, she has to use many disguises to hide from a man who framed her and is trying to kill her! Her best friend Dylan, is trying to help her evade the man who is trying to kill her, he is a serial-killing cop! Dylan pretends to be helping her killer, so that he can warn Casey of his whereabouts.
You will enjoy reading this spine tingling book about real-life characters and situations!

Terri Blackstock never disappoints!!! She's my favorite Christian suspense author, and I think this series might be her best one yet. Couldn't put any of the books in these series down. Read it now!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing a copy of this book for review.

WOOOOOOOW.

The suspense did not let up and I was left gasping for breath at a couple of points, dying to skip ahead and find out what had happened...but I couldn't because kindle. *weeps*

First of all, I DEFINITELY recommend you reading them in order (in all trilogies, but I feel like if you didn't read this one in order, it's impossible to follow the story). All three books in the trilogy flow together SO WELL, not just physically (the covers match to make a picture!) but also story-wise.

The characters are THE BEST. There are points of view from both protagonists as well as the antagonist, and they all go together to paint the full picture and what goes on in the minds of the characters. (ALSO THE SHIP THAT HAPPENS HERE. ITS PRETTY MUCH THE ONLY SHIP THAT I AGREE WITH IN BOOKS)

All the plot twists in this book are amazing!! Halfway through the book, I thought it was about to end, but then A PLOT TWIST HAPPENED. There were so many but it didn't feel overdone at all.

ALSO SO MUCH ACTION. There was a lot of legal action (aka, stuff that happens at the police station), but as far as I can tell, it's very realistic and actually makes sense.

The conclusion of this series, brings Casey and Dylan's story to a close. It is filled with the build up of us wondering if the truth will really set her free or if evil will triumph.

One thing I really liked was how distinct the lines were between evil and good, but still how you could be sympathetic to the bad guy and ask yourself why the good guys did what they did. It was quite realistic and frustrating like it is in real life. I would not recommend reading this without having read the previous two books.

A rewarding and suspenseful ending to the series! I stayed up much too late to finish it, my heart pounding the whole time. I great series!

Casey Cox is living her worst nightmare. Accused of killing her best friend, she knows the police are involved and must stay one step ahead of them while trying to find proof of who really killed her friend. She’s on the run and things are getting more desperate.

I’m glad this is the final book in the “If I Run” series because I have felt so bad for Casey. I’ve felt her desperation and I just wanted her to be able to get her life back. There are many dangers that must be faced to get to that point. It’s a high octane read that kept me reading long into the night. There was a twist that I totally didn’t see coming. I like it when I get surprised.

Dylan is a great character who has a hard line to walk. He believes Casey but can’t let Keegan know that. I appreciate his wisdom in encouraging Casey to look and see how and where God is working in her circumstances. Things change in our hearts when we realize how active He is in our lives.

This is a great, suspenseful read. I would highly recommend it. It is best read in order in the series as the whole story is based on the two that come before. Thank you to Zondervan for providing me with a free e-copy of this book. I was not required to leave a positive review. All opinions are my own.

If I Run series:

Book 1: If I Run

Book 2: If I’m Found

Book 3: If I Live

I am so disappointed for this series to end. It was awesome and really held my interest. The author did a great job digging into the backgrounds and minds of the main characters. Lots of intrigue and action, with the plot moving quickly. And the ending…you will like the ending.

I received this book from Netgalley and Zondervon in exchange for a review.

WOW THIS TRILOGY.

First of all, I DEFINITELY recommend you reading them in order (in all trilogies, but I feel like if you didn't read this one in order, it's impossible to follow the story). All three books in the trilogy flow together SO WELL, not just physically (the covers match to make a picture!) but also story-wise.

The last thing I liked about this book was all the faith content. The first book (and also a little in the second book) didn't contain so much faith content (which I get, as part of character development), but there was so much in this one, despite all the action, which I really appreciated.

One thing to keep an eye out for is all the violence in the book. As one might expect with a suspense novel, there is a lot of violence, which I don't recommend at 2 in the morning, but it might be a little bit much for younger readers or those not comfortable with that violence.

BUT overall? I'M SHOVING THIS TRILOGY AT EVERYONE I SEE. EVERYONE.
My Rating:

8/10

Good things-

The characters were well developed (SO SO WELL DEVELOPED. OMGNS)
The Point of Views were well balanced between the characters and felt natural
A lot of action
Seems realistic (in terms of law enforcement and the scenes and stuff...but then, I'm not in that world so I wouldn't know)
THE SHIP. I mean, we all knew it was coming, but like. THE SHIP THOUGH.
All the plot twists!!! All the way through the book, I knew what was going to happen (at least, I *hoped* that everything was going to come out okay), but there were so so many plot twists that happened along the way
All the faith content and the spiritual talk
The coherency between all the books

Bad things-

A lot of violence (well portrayed, which means realistic, but there are guns and shooting and death and etc)
It feels a little deux ex machina at the end (in regards to the media)

I read the first two books of this series and loved them, so I was so excited to start the third and final book! It had been a few months, so I was a little worried I wouldn’t remember all the details, but the more I read, I was right back into the story!

This story is so fast paced, it could definitely be the plot of a movie! I tore through it quickly, and was sad to see an end. The only part that felt forced to me were the religious bits.

These characters deserve a break after this crazy story, but I can’t help but want more!

I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

You know that feeling when you want to know the end of a story, but you really don't want it to end? That's how I felt about the final book in Terri Blackstock's If I Run series. The series follows Casey Cox, a young woman on the run after being framed for her best friend's murder. The cops are closing in, and Casey is running out of places to turn. Dylan Roberts, the investigator hired to find her, is convinced she's innocent. But, time is almost up to prove it. It's always a bit nerve-wracking to come to the end of a series like this. They don't always turn out like I hope. But, I'm happy to say that this one made me really happy--but not before putting me on a roller coaster of emotions first!

The men who are searching for Casey are desperate. They know she has evidence of their wrong-doings in the police department for years, and they'll stop at nothing to see her dead. Casey and Dylan have plenty of proof, but who can they trust to give it to? As they get closer to the answers, attempts are made on Dylan's life, and Casey is determined to turn herself in before he's killed. But, she knows that if she falls into the hands of the wrong person, she'll be dead before she ever gets a chance to testify. Separated from everyone she loves, and now injured, Casey is tired of running. The she gives her life to the Lord, and turns over the control of the situation to Him. It's time for the final showdown between Casey and the bad cops, but it won't be easy. The ring of evil and deceit goes further than Dylan and Casey realize, and it'll take everything they've got to get away one more time.

I read the other day that Terri Blackstock says she doesn't like blood and gore, so you won't find them written in a lot of detail in her stories. I think that's one thing that makes them so appealing. I love to read something that keeps me on the edge of my seat, but I don't want to be afraid to go to sleep afterwards! I appreciate an author who writes spine-tingling fiction, that doesn't leave me feeling scared, or dirty afterwards. There is no graphic violence, or harsh language, but it doesn't keep her stories from being unputdownable.

If I Live is a very satisfying conclusion to an incredible series. Since I knew this would be the end, I wondered where else the story could go without being repetitive. But I didn't need to worry! There's still plenty of suspense left for Casey and Dylan, and the road to justice still is not smooth! And I really wanted to book to end with justice. I hate when a series ends and I don't feel like the criminal really gets what they deserve. Again...I shouldn't have worried. There's justice to be served to the bad cops, as well as a happy ending for Casey and Dylan.

If thrillers are your thing, I really can't recommend this series enough. I decided this year to start running my reading material through the filter of Philippians 4:8, only reading things that were honest, true, lovely, etc. I'm really happy to say that If I Live and the entire If I Run series fits this bill. There is noting explicit or dirty in the series, and there's also the added aspect of Dylan helping Casey to find faith. It's a win all around.

I’ve waited a year for Casey and Dillon’s return. And oh, boy, was it worth it!
Terri Blackstock delivers a series finale that I could not put down. I mean, who needs sleep when Casey and Dillon are so close to exposing the truth while just as near danger and evil.
A fast-paced, well executed read with plenty of twists and turns to kept me up late into the night to reach the satisfying and gratifying ending.
I can’t wait to see what Blackstock has in store for readers next.

I think Terri Blackstock did a great job finishing off this series. This book is more action packed the whole way through. I really enjoyed this whole series.

Book 3. What can I say? This could have been a great story if edited down into one book. There was definitely lots of action but all of Casey's running got to be very tedious.

I’ve said this before with the other books in this series, but I really need to say it for this one too….WOW!
This is a FANTASTIC ending to this series. It’s just what fans of Terri Blackstock will expect. It’s full of heart-stopping suspense, riveting action, and drama, as well as sweet romance.
Throughout this series, I’ve come to not like a couple of characters and in this book I truly see the evil in them.
The author brings so much to each character that it’s as if I know them personally. I started to really get upset with how things were consistently coming against Casey and Dylan. They only want the truth to come out and yet nothing goes they’re way. My heart stopped a couple of times when I thought evil would win.
Terri Blackstock truly has a fantastic way of writing that will capture you and draw you into the story, and before you know it you will have read the whole book. This is an amazing page-turner of a book.
I’m glad I was given the opportunity to read it and the whole series. I honestly loved this book and highly recommend reading it. I received this book from the publisher to read. All opinions are my own.

Terri Blackstock in an amazing storyteller...I loved this series...and the conclusion was extremely satisfying. Five stars. I especially liked the cover art design for all three novels. Perfect!!!

I hadn't realized that this is the third and last book of a trilogy. As such it leaves some past important vents in the dark. Nethertheless the reader is drawn quickly into the suspenseful story. Terri Blackstock creates believable character and makes you feel for them.
