If I Live by Terri Blackstock

Casey Cox is still on the run after being indicted for murder. The hunt that began with her bloody footprints escalates, and she’s running out of places to hide. Her face is all over the news, and her disguises are no longer enough. It’s only a matter of time before someone recognizes her.

Dylan Roberts, the investigator who once hunted her, is now her only hope. Terrifying attempts on Dylan’s life could force Casey out of hiding. The clock is ticking on both their lives, but exposing the real killers is more complicated than they knew. Amassing the evidence to convict their enemies draws Dylan and Casey together, but their relationship has consequences. Will one life have to be sacrificed to protect the other?

With If I Live, Terri Blackstock takes us on one more heart-stopping chase in the sensational conclusion to the If I Run series. (from the Publisher)

If I Live is the conclusion of the If I Run series. This title unlike, If I'm Found can not really be read as a standalone. Ms. Blackstock continues the story of Casey Cox with the same pace as If I'm Found. The reader will be seamlessly immersed in the plot, feeling they never left off from the previous title. The read is quick with lots of twists and turns. A satisfying conclusion for fans of this series. In fact, they will hate to see Dylan and Casey's adventure end. The wrapping up of Casey's conversion to Christianity does seem rushed at the end of the book but otherwise the book is thoroughly entertaining and satisfying. Give this to any reader who loves a good mystery and thriller or any Terri Blackstock fan.

If I Live is an exhilarating pageturner and an amazing ending to a great series. I've thoroughly enjoyed each of the books but I have to say that this one is my favorite. It may be because everything is finally coming to a head and we get to see if Casey is going to be pinned with all of these horrible things that she didn't do. Also her and Dylan's romance has become quite clear and I really love that at least something wonderful has come from all of these ugly events that have transpired. I think the way that Casey has become a believer is very realistic and I am glad that she was able to find some peace through her newfound faith in the midst of all the drama. The story was written really well and had me glued to the pages from the very beginning. Of all of the books I've read I think this may rank as my favorite suspense. It has great momentum and I would highly recommend this series to anyone who loves a good clean suspense story. I would definitely recommend starting with book one though!

Many times when one starts a series, especially if it's a new one, it may be months in between the books. A reader may have trouble remembering the details or the story line. But Terri Blackstock is good in giving the reader just enough back information to help them remember. The book doesn't contain pages of material that appeared in previous books, but just a sentence or two that reminds you of what's going on.

"If I Live" is a great ending to this series. The author doesn't just tell you who the bad guy is. She plays out the story to the end. It gives the reader a sense of justice, and doesn't leave you wondering what happened "later". The build up of crimes is horrific. Can one person be so cruel? Of course, we know the answer to that one. But justice does win over all.

Will Casey and Dylan collect all the evidence before time runs out? This book was just as good as the previous 2. Casey and Dylan have had some close calls put still push ahead in the pursuit of justice. Keegan is losing control putting everyone in more danger. This was a fast-paced page turning series and you were able to see everyone grow together and become a family.
Thank you netgalley for an ARC which gave me the opportunity to read this amazing story.

I waited with baited breath for this advanced readers copy to be on Netgalley. I am so happy that I was chosen to review this book. I had become so immersed in the world of Casey Cox. I knew that I would love the finality of this book by reading the first sentence. I am sad that the series has ended but I was glad Casey Cox got what she wanted. She had endured so much and had lost so much. It was time for her to rise out of the shadows and come toward the light. I can't recommend this book enough. My graduate homework had to wait. I had to finish this book in one sitting lol. Thank you, Terri Blackstock, for writing a masterpiece full of suspense, romance, and good Christian values.

If I Live was an amazing ending to a great series! I loved each book more than the one before it, and the third in the series was no exception! Favorite Terri Blackstock book!

Terri Blackstock is the queen of Christian mystery and suspense! I have been reading her books since about 1999 and even went back and read the first ones published. She does not disappoint and just keeps getting better with each book she writes!

If I Live does a great job of wrapping up this series and gives you the final details on the main characters and where their lives are going. You will not be disappointed if you read this series.

This series has been one of my favorite all-time series. This book picks up where If I’m Found ends. Ms. Blackstock does a superb job of pulling the reader into Casey and Dylan’s current predicament. The story is engaging and wonderfully written. The reader will not be able to guess what might happen next. This book is a wonderful conclusion to this fantastic series. The storyline will explain any unanswered questions the reader has that was not answered in the previous books. There are many unexpected things that occur with the characters in the books. If you are looking for a suspense-filled, sensational story, then this story is for you! You will not be disappointed with this one! I highly recommend that you read this book. I have read many of Ms. Blackstock’s books and really enjoyed them. However, I think this series is some of her best work!

If I Live is book 3 in the If I Run Series. If you have not read the first two I would advise you to read those before reading this one. It will add to your enjoyment of this book as you get to know the characters thoroughly. This story is told in the first person from the viewpoint of three characters. There is Casey Cox who is on the run from being accused of a murder she did not commit. There is Dylan Roberts, the man hired by the family of Brent Pace to find Casey. After getting to know Casey he is one of the few people who believe in her innocence. He has also fallen in love with her. The third character is the dirty cop Keegan. He is one evil character. He is a sociopath and does not think twice about killing anyone who gets in his way. He's a rather cocky fellow who thinks he is smarter than anyone alive. He does not think Casey and Dylan can outsmart him. I had an image in my mind of what Keegan looked like and I kept seeing him look like that man who escaped from prison a couple of years ago and evaded the police for a while.

In this book and in the entire series you start out knowing who the main villains were. What you don't know is that they corruption goes beyond just these two cops. Casey and Dylan do not know who to trust. I will say no more because I don't want to reveal too much so to spoil the plot for you. What I can say is that Casey comes to a saving faith in the Lord and knows no matter what she can trust what the Lord has in store for her. Dylan gets closer to the Lord also.

This story kept me in suspense. It was hard to put down. Terri Blackstock is one of my favorite suspense writers and I look forward to reading her books in the future.

Thanks to Netgalley and Zondervan for providing me a digital copy to read and review. This book will be released on March 6, 2018.

If I Live by Terri Blackstock – You Won’t Want to Put It Down

I love reading Christian mysteries and suspense novels and Terri Blackstock is one of my favorite writers. That’s why I jumped at the opportunity to read her newest book, If I Live, which is being released March 6, 2018.

This is the third book, in the If I Run series, which tells the story of Casey Cox who has been on the lamb since her friend Brent Pace was found brutally murdered. She is the chief suspect because her DNA was found all over the crime scene. Dylan Roberts, who was hired by Pace family to bring Casey to justice, now believes she is innocent. So much so that he has been working with Casey to compile evidence that will break open this case wide open and allow the guilty to be exposed.

From the opening chapters of If I Live, the reader had better be strapped in because it takes off and doesn’t let up until the very end. Each chapter in the storyline is told from a different character’s perspective. It’s a different technique and almost makes you feel like you are in the character’s head and seeing things from their point of view.

I really liked If I Live, it’s full of suspense and intrigue. It’s fast paced. I appreciate how the Christian faith has been woven in to several characters. Casey become a Christian during the course of this book and it’s interesting to see all that happens to her from the point of view of a new believer. I especially liked how Casey recognized that though it was tempting to be angry and unforgiving towards those who had done evil, the Holy Spirit was showing her that a Christian doesn’t respond the same way as the world does. I liked the developing relationship between Casey and Dylan.

As a Christian, I appreciate how author Terri Blackstock tells a good story without including sexually explicit scenes, filthy language and shows the Christian faith in the lives of characters.

After everything that Casey has been through, will it all be for naught? Will she make it out of this alive? Will she be free or spend the rest of her life in jail? Just how much evil can one person get away with? How widespread is this corruption and how many lives have been affected? Who is clean, who is dirty and most importantly who can be trusted?

Well to find out the answers to those questions and more, you’ll need to read Terri Blackstock’s newest book, If I Live, which I highly recommend.

I would like to thank NetGalley and Zondervan Publishers for the opportunity to read If I Live in exchange for an honest review. I was under no obligation to give a favorable review.

IF I LIVE by Terri Blackstock. “IF I RUN “ 3. Zondervan Publisher. March 6
Casey on the run, disguises aren’t helping, she now is the main suspect, with indictment charges against her. She’s been living like a frighten criminal, it will have been worth it, if justice would be served, she feels. Too many deaths, her father’s and Brent; turning over evidence, only to find they were part of the corruption. Evil and hate were their main goals. A powerful story, as you wonder, how Casey, and hopefully with Dylan come out. This has been on going for three books. The tension seems even higher, many surprises. Casey is stronger now, she wasn’t defeated. Given ARC by Net Galley for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

Blackstock has finished the trilogy of the If I Run with a bang! If I Live had me riveted from the first page. This author is an amazingly talented writer. The suspense, action and characters kept the pages turning rapidly. I was rooting for Casey and Dylan and the romance was believable and precious. I have read many of Blackstock's books and this series was my favorite of them all.

If I Live is another strong installment from bestselling author, Terri Blackstock. It continues the story of a woman on-the-run from false murder charges. In this third book in the series (DON’T start with this one, you really need to read them in order!) Casey and Dylan have more confidence in each other as each battle corrupt law enforcement from various sides, supporting each other in the process.

As the plot unfolds, Blackstock offers further depth to the antagonist’s plot – twists and turns that keep the reader intrigued. I enjoyed the continuation of how Dylan and Casey help each other not only physically but emotionally and spiritually. The romance of it still seems far-fetched to me – but it didn’t ruin the suspense aspect of the book(s) for me.

Be prepared for a lot of first-person storytelling from three perspectives. This use of first-person does give a lot of personal details, but also makes the telling less fluid than it might be otherwise. Still – I was happy to discover the conclusion to Casey’s story – and while it wasn’t surprising, it did resolve itself nicely. Some details at the end are tied up a little too prettily but, again, that didn’t ruin the story for me.

All in all, if you’re a fan of Blackstock’s work, you’ll love this series. If you enjoy Christian romantic suspense, it’s a pretty solid bet.

I was able to read If I live for free from Netgalley, the publisher and the author for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
“If I Live” by Terri Blackstock was book 3 and is one of the best books I’ve ever read. I couldn’t put down. I read it in one day. I just wanted to see how life turned out for Casey and Dylan. The story has a lot of adventures, twist and the best part a enough romance here and there. It was a good clean suspense.

What an awesome book series! The conclusion to the 'If I Run' series was fantastic and I enjoyed every word written in this book and storyline. I thought it would be hard to beat the first two books of the series but the 3rd book was definitely the best.
*spoiler alert below*
What I found special about this book is that the story reads on for quite a bit after the 'bad guys' get captured. So we get to see what happens to Keegan, how he is processed & charged, how they go about finding out who is dirty in the police force AND we get see Casey's and Dylans love for each other grow into marriage. I really appreciated reading this as I felt it completely finished the story and didn't leave me wondering about all the characters and what happened to them.

Thank you Terri Blackstock for such an entertaining, clean and suspenseful read. Totally should be made into a movie!

BRILLIANT!

This has been an amazing series and the ending is phenomenal! I confess - I started this book at 9 PM (crazy!) & immediately was drawn back into the story and I finished the book in one sitting! At the beginning of this novel, these questions remain: How much longer will Casey Cox be able to run? How many more disguises will keep her real identity hidden? Will Dylan Roberts, the investigator who once hunted her, be able to devise a plan to safely bring her in to tell her role in Brent Pace’s murder? Who can they trust with the truth? This novel is filled with complex characters, an intricate plot, vivid descriptions that have you feeling as though you are in on the action, intrigue and heart-stopping perils on every page. In the midst of everything, the author also has the theme of God’s grace and redemption running straight through the heart of this novel. Blackstock may well be at her all time best with the If I Run series! I was provided an ARC of this book by NetGalley and Zondervan. The opinions expressed here are completely my own and without influence.

The third book of the If I Run series finds Casey Cox still trying to evade capture while Dylan Roberts tries to help her clear her name. However, Gordon Keegan, the dirty detective who framed Casey for the murder of her friend Brent in the first book, has realized that Dylan isn't on his side. This leads to multiple close calls for Casey and Dylan, who try desperately to find someone who will believe Casey's side of things before Keegan gets to them both. A satisfying end to the series.

Casey Cox has been running from the police for months. Lately she has had the help of a local PI who has come to believe her side of the story, she didn't murder anyone.
In this the third in the series Casey is finally willing to give herself up after she does a live phone interview with a news reporter to whom the PI, Dylan, has provided the evidence he and Casey have assembled. Then all hell breaks loose. Dylan is captured by the corrupt cop who know his time is limited. Keegan is looking at any and all means of escape but has been thwarted at every turn.
Case comes to the rescue and they barely escape. Finally Casey's story is aired and the truth is known. It it doesn't end there. Will Casey and Dylan live to see Keegan get his just desserts or will Keegan escape once again.

My favorite aspect of this book was the way it so nicely tied up all of the threads of the series. I liked the characters of Casey Cox and Dylan Roberts just as much as I did in the prior two books. The book moved at a fast pace and had plenty of action. It seemed like a quick read to me and kept my interest all the way through. I enjoyed the storyline and was pleased with the way everything played out.

This third book of the series finds Casey still on the run after being suspected in a murder she did not commit. Dylan Roberts knows she is innocent, and he is doing all he can to clear her name and keep the corrupt police officers who are after her off of her trail. In this book, they both face danger time and again, and try to find away to make justice prevail. Not knowing who they can trust, they turn to the DA, but after it is too late, find out that he is in league with Keegan. Now their lives are in serious jeopardy and they don't know where to turn to for help.

Great conclusion to the series! I was really anticipating the conclusion to this series, and I was not disappointed! I loved Casey and Dylan in the prior books, but even more in this one. I was on the edge of my seat, wounding how all would be resolved. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing a copy of this book in return for an honest review.
