I am really starting to love Vivian wood books and this one was just fantastic. Really enjoyed the journey you go on with the characters. Feels like your going on the journey with them. Overall a great book that was a pleasure to read. Would recommend

This was another great book by Vivian Wood.
The book had just enough angst and suspense to keep you on your toes wondering what the hell was going on but in the end, it all made sense.
If you like romantic suspense, this is a book for you!
I was able to read an advance copy of this book via NetGalley.

A complimentary copy was provided in exchange for an honest review.
No rating because I didn't finish this one; gave up around 20%. I just didn't like the characters and thought Faith was extremely immature for her age (29). She also came across as weak willed; she is supposed to be a corporate lawyer but she caved to Mia (I think that is her name) telling her she couldn't go into town without a male escort (she didn't phrase it like that but did say she couldn't go alone). Really? I just couldn't keep reading because the characters got on my nerves and came across as very unrealistic. Also, the flash backs were a big turn off for me about Alex; whatever message the author was trying to come across didn't work for me.
I wish other readers the best of experience with this book - this one just wasn't for me.
[Word of warning, there is on page description of a cross burning trying to warn Faith away from town. Not sure what that is all about as the blurb didn't hint to anything like that at all! (hide spoiler)]

A very successful lawyer, city girl comes on a small island and turns life from their residents upside down especially Alex life. Interesting story whit a twist that I didn't see coming. Two very well developed characters. Alex is very stubborn and because of his past, he is anti-social. Faith is very likable although very successful and from the city, she is down to earth, not spoiled at all. And she is not trying to ignore the chemistry and attraction between her and Alex. When it does happen between to it is really hot and they don't finish just after one or two times. A complex story about finding your past, present and not denying that you want to have a special person with you in the future.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly (less)

Wow. Alex had it rough with his first wife. After four years of being single he still has his heart guarded. Faith enters Alex’s life when she inherits a small island from an aunt. Faith comes into Alex’s life like a wreaking ball and captures his heart in her hands. I love all the twist and turns. It kept me on the edge of my seat while reading. A fantastic read.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Faith has inherited a house from an aunt. She leaves her job in California to come to Georgia to decide what to do with the house and the island it's on. She stays at a house with "mama" and her three boys. Alex is the one she's most attracted to but he's been burned and he's grumpy, appearing to want nothing to do with Faith. Faith is determined and strong, waiting patiently for Alex to work through his issues. Someone doesn't want Faith to finish the house so there's a bit of a mystery.

This book what can I say. I liked it. I wanted to love it. Alex was hot sexy alpha male then at times he was just plan a douche and I hated that. Wish there was an epilogue so we can see the future with these two.

This is a very confusing book. The main male lead flips back and forth way too much plus the main female character just keeps going back. I am just not into the emotional angst in this book.

Wild hearts is the story of Alex and Faith. Faith has inherited an island with a large house. Although this is an romance I didn't particularly enjoy it much, this is mainly due to the fact that nothing was explained properly, who or why the relative left Faith this inheritance. Characters were introduced that were never developed, there were acts of violence, arson, drug and human trafficking thrown into the mix with redneck cousins causing trouble, but that was it, all mentioned but no reason why this was happening or any conclusions made. In all a mess, that said if you want a romance with some rather over descriptive sex scenes and little else, this is the book for you.
My thanks to net galley and publisher for opportunity to review this book.

I think the romance in this book is a little too easy. The hero is kind of a jerk and mean to the heroine, but you know, once he kisses her she forgets all that. And there’s a whole subplot about a house the heroine inherits and it’s pretty much abandoned in wrapping up the novel. I got a little attached to that old house and to just leave that plot thread loose is annoying. I like all the very Southern characters but this is year another “romance” with little romance, a very loose plot and a lot of sex. So if that’s your thing, you’ll love this. If you like some actual plot and relationship development, you’ll probably give it 3 stars.

Wood has written a very engaging book that I couldn't put down! I loved it from the first page to the last!

An enjoiable romance story between the main characters, Alex and Faith, that kept my interest. I liked the fact that it was the male character that had obvious unresolved issues to deal with, while the female protagonist seemed secure in herself, honest and straight-forward. I think that the insecure-girl-that-becomes-empowered-through-a-man trope is more that overused in the New Adult genre, so the take of this book was a pleasant change.
However, it seemed like the story didn't quite flow, as if there were missing parts inbetween the chapters. Furthermore, while there were some serious issues mentioned in this book, the dialogue suited more the style of teenagers, that that of mid-twenties and thirty-year-olds.
All in all, I would recommend this book for fans of New Adult novels.

Alex is still hung up on his dead wife. So everything about faith bothers him. His mother throws the two of them together at every chance. A must read.
