I loved the great selection of recipes. I can tell this will be a very popular cookbook.

I loved this cookbook, I've already bookmarked recipes to try this week! What I like about this book is the recipes are simple, the photographs are gorgeous and unlike a lot of cook books the recipes are for 1 or 2 people, which means it's easy to scale up quantities if you are cooking for more people. Just what I need to inspire some healthy cooking in the new year.

You know how there are tons of cookbooks that market themselves as 'healthy' but 'simple' at the same time? Then you cook from them a few times and you realize that yes, while this is indeed healthy and uses cool new ingredients it is not even remotely simple. Well, Healthyish actually delivers on what it says! Its simple, concise, and nothing takes especially long to make. If you're busy during the week but still want to eat relatively healthily, then grab this.
This is very much a beginners cookbook in that its super accessible to even the most novice of cooks. But even for more experienced cooks its always great to review basics, especially when they're so invitingly written. I think its clever that the author included ingredients that less adventurous eaters can find intimidating but made them approachable by combining them with familiar foods. Miso butter toast with eggs? Yes, please! Kimchi fried rice? So simple, but so delicious.
Is this cookbook going to blow your mind with cool new recipes? Probably not if you live anywhere with diverse food choices. Her recipes are basically all simple, easy to make, fusion food. And that's exactly what it says on the tin! There isn't an abundance of personality in the writing but it was straight to the point and clear which I very much appreciate. The pictures are bright and cheerful and present food in a way that makes you think, 'Hey, I can plate it that way too!'

Really liked this cookbook! I tried a few of the recipes and they turned out as desired for the most part.

The cover of this book is all that I expect from a ‘healthy cookbook’. It has vibrant colors and it makes me want to go shopping for fresh fruits and veggies immediately. The description “A cookbook with seriously satisfying, truly simple, good-for-you (but not too good-for-you) recipes for real life” fits perfectly with the cookbook I am always on the hunt for. One that contains nourishing recipes, that do not have to be healthy a 100% of the time. Yet, the tricky thing is that still these recipes can often tilt to being not practical, have too many strange ingrediënts, require a load of equipment etc.
The chapters in this book have a practical division according to categories. All of the categories have do-able recipes, some get me more excited than others, but I could find something that I wanted to eat in all of the chapters. Yet, there was one chapter that really stood out for me, and it was the soup-chapter. Man, those soups are definitely a welcome change to canned supermarket tomato soup! They look delicious and I would never have come up with these recipes myself. Actually, I would not have minded at all if the entire book was filled with soups.
All taken together, this book is beautiful. From the cover, until the very last page, it is absolutely packed with beautiful photos of food in vibrant colors, and it is beautifully designed. The recipes seem easy, not too much fuss about strange ingredients (Kosher salt threw me off initially but after a little search it turned out that is actually pretty common and we just use a different name for it where I am from), and a big pro for me, this book is not completely vegetarian, but certainly is vegetarian friendly. I would rate it at 3,5 out of 5 stars.

Stylish and unique recipes. I enjoyed the fun names for the recipes as much as the recipes themselves. The soup recipes were by far my favorite which I will definitely be testing out in the near future.

I received a copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review!

Not only does this cookbook offer easy, delicious recipes but a good message too, balanced eating. Often times I find myself looking at cookbooks that are either filled with unhealthy recipes or recipes that cut out a bunch of things like carbs or fats. Healthyish was really refreshing and overall enjoyable to read and look at. There was a picture for almost every recipe and the ingredients were things you've actually heard of. The instructions were easy to follow and did I mention the pictures were beautiful?

This is definitely a cookbook I would purchase for myself and it would make a great gift!

As several other reviewers mentioned, I received a copy with no reviewable content. I'm disappointed as this seems like it would be a great cookbook for me and, as of now, my library is not planning on purchasing a copy.

Please note, my star rating is not accurate due to the fact that I was unable to view the book. However, NetGalley will not let you post a review without a star rating.

Eating healthy can be extremely boring and because of this I dread cooking tea for my family. This has given me the excitement to try new meals.

I didn't get any content in my galley copy. It was blank except for the covers and index.

Very limited ability to review this text, as the index and one table of contents were the only visible information.

I absolutely loved and highly recommend this book! I’m a big cookbook gal and love trying new recipes, but one thing that always bothers me are the 9 million ingredients and 750 steps that take 8 hours to make. Not this bad boy!! It had simple, delicious, and healthyish , like the name suggests, recipes. The photography was amazing as well! I will definitely be purchasing a couple for friends and family.

Extremely eye catching pictures. Wow does this food look good. I love the writing style. I'm someone who loves to cook and I like how the author actually addressed the downside to cooking: the dishes! I can't say how many times I've made a recipe only to wind up with a dishwasher full of dishes from just the one meal. I appreciate the idea here: healthy-ish food, delicious, reasonably easy to locate ingredients, relatively quick to cook and less dirty dishes. What's not to like about that? Plus, everything looks really good.

My only suggestion would be more dinner recipes.

I'm leaving this review having not cooked any of the recipes yet. But I've already added the ingredients from one recipe, Prosciutto and Cucumber Tartine, to my grocery list. I've also bookmarked multiple recipes to try soon.

A fun and friendly approach to healthier cooking, with a fresh look and approach. Lots of easy to implement approaches here, and delicious looking things to try for every meal and snack. Lindsay's approach is very reasonable and clear. I was provided this copy by Netgalley, but these are my honest opinions. #indigoemployee
