Things have  been going great for Tobi Tobias and she is up for the Best Ad award and super excited. She knows she probably won't win but to just be nominated for such a prestigious award has her head spinning. When they announce the winner it's not Tobi and the winner goes up on stage and she isn't there long before the stage collapse and the monitor falls and the winner is dead.

They are saying it was a horrible accident but something isn't sitting well with Tobi. She is sure that she seen in the winner's eyes what she also noticed that she wasn't the real winner as it wasn't her ad about to play on the monitor. So what happened?

Once Tobi realized that Deidre wasn't the real winner and starts to investigate each of the other nominees and figuring out who was suppose to win and why that person would have won, it exposes a few different suspects.

I love Tobi she is such a fun character! I really just like all the characters as they are just so great and the kind of friends and family you would like, well except for Mrs. Rapple...lol.

Speaking of Mrs. Rapple, you get a bit more about her in this one and it gives you some insight into why she acts the way she does. It was actually a little sad and maybe it will change how Tobi feels about her in the future.

It has a really good mystery though I kind of had it figured out but there was some other parts of the mystery that I didn't figure out and it ends up being kind of a sad killing...you just have to read it...to get it. :)

If you like cozies then you really should try this series it's great!!!

I always enjoy reading about the female entrepreneurs in cozy mysteries, and this one was no exception. Enjoyed learning about Tobi and friends at the Tobias Ad Agency, and although I found myself getting a little confused about the various suspects, I did enjoy the book and wish this author well.

What a joy to get to read another Tobi Tobias Mystery!

Just when you think author Laura Bradford can’t possibly outdo herself, she does! AND DEATH GOES TO… is the best book in this series so far. All outside distraction was a mere whisper in the background as I lost myself in this wonderful tale.

The more I read of these characters, the harder it is to leave them and their world once the story is over. Protagonist Tobi is brilliant. I could spend time talking with her all day. Grandpa Stu is my guy. I simply adore him. I got to see a different side of him in this book, and just wanted to give him a hug.

Ms. Bradford always manages to bring so many levels to her stories. Laugh out loud moments, the tenderness of romance, and of course, the drama of murder. And speaking of murder…Wow! From the unique way the victim was killed (haven’t seen it in a cozy before), through the following investigation, AND DEAD GOES TOO… was nonstop twists and turns, with new suspects popping up all over! I honestly had to remind myself to keep breathing.

If you’re a fan of the Tobi Tobias mysteries, or a fan of Laura Bradford’s, you can’t miss, AND DEAD GOES TOO… And, if you haven’t read anything by this author, it’s time you do!

I absolutely adore books by Laura Bradford/Elizabeth Lynn Casey. I had never heard of nor read any of her books until I had pre-ordered Eclair and Present Danger, the first in her emergency dessert squad series, because I liked the title and the the cover was cute (I'm a sucker for a clever title and a pretty book cover). I decided to see if she had any other series to catch up on in the meantime. I found her Amish Mystery series which I started reading and could not stop, devouring them one right after another. I had picked up a copy of one of her Southern Sewing Circle books at one of my local bookstores without knowing at the time that Elizabeth Lynn Casey and Laura Bradford were one in the same. When I found out about the Tobi Tobias series I bought the first two books and was lucky enough to receive a copy of this book, the third in the series, from netgalley. I will admit that, even though I have bought them both, I have yet to read the first two books in this particular series because my TBR gets out of hand at times but I still decided to jump in feet first with book number three.

I didn't feel lost which I appreciate. It's the night of an advertising awards ceremony in St. Louis and Tobi has been nominated for a major award (I'm still getting out of Christmas mode so sorry if that sounds like a movie line--haha) along with her young photographer, Sam. Sam has won the award in his category and Tobi and her friends and loved ones anxiously await the results of Tobi's category (the last of the night). Unfortunately, she does not win. She was still excited to be nominated because her work was comparable to those in big agencies. Tobi and all of the guests at the awards ceremony watch as the winner, Diedre, took the stage to accept her award. Things take a turn when the platform that Diedre was on accepting her award gave way and she fell to her death. It bothers Tobi, not just because of the horrible tragedy but because something seemed off. Tobi was certain Diedre looked shocked or confused BEFORE the accident happened, but why? Once back home watching a rerun of the news with her Grandpa Stu the anchor states that it was no accident. Diedre was murdered. Was Diedre the intended victim? Was the award actually meant for someone else? Why wasn't that person called to the stage? Who was the actual target?

This was another great book. The writing style and story lines continue to keep me intrigued and coming back for more.

Tobi Tobias is on cloud nine. She is up for the award for Best Overall Ad Campaign in the prestigious St. Louis Advertising Agency Awards. It's the biggest ad award in town, and although she has only been running her own agency for a short time, Tobi has been noticed and nominated, and she can't wait for the ceremony to see what happens.

And what happens there is not good. It's not all bad, as her teenaged photographer managed to break through stereotypes and win an award for himself. But while Tobi gets to enjoy her fabulous dress, the extra attention from her boyfriend Andy, and some mediocre steak, she doesn't win the award. Although that may be good news for her, since the woman who did win, Deidre Ryan, went up to get her award, and the special staircase erected for the winner to climb fell down and the stage lights came down on top of her.

But right before the stage came down, Tobi noticed something odd. The screen that was supposed to be showing Deidre's award-winning ad campaign was just starting to show the ad campaign of a different nominee instead. Was it just an honest mistake, or was it something more ominous?

While Tobi and her family and friends are very happy that she didn't win the award--that she was able to walk away from the ceremony while poor Deidre didn't--Tobi can't leave the mystery alone. She has to figure out what happened that night. Did someone else really win that award? And was the booby-trap for that person instead? Who would do such a thing to a fellow advertising professional?

And just as important, how can she stop her beloved grandfather from falling for her annoying neighbor with the irritating dog?

Tobi has her work cut out for her in And Death Goes To . . ., Laura Bradford's third novel in the charming Tobi Tobias mystery series. Tobi and her friends and colleagues use their intelligence and humor to face the challenging situation they find themselves in. Even parrot Rudder would find some moments to snort at in this fun cozy. Delightful characters, a compelling story, an interesting setting, and lots of information about working in advertising. A sweet treat for mystery lovers!

Galleys for And Death Goes To . . . were provided by Kensington Books through NetGalley, with many thanks.

I found this book to be a nice addition to the series. Although it seemed to move a bit slower than the first two, it was an enjoyable read.

The characters are developing with each book. I love the way that Tobi and the others have all become a 'family'. I do wish that Grandpa Stu lived in the area. I found that the twists and turns kept me reading. I'm looking forward to the next one!

And Death Goes To... by Laura Bradford is the third book in the Tobi Tobias Mystery series. I had not read either of the previous books, but I have no problems following the characters in this one. Tobi owns an ad agency and is nominated for the top prize in the St Louis Advertising Awards. She is happy just to be nominated and even more so when the winner plummets to her death when the platform collapses. A tragic accident is soon discovered to be an intentional murder. Tobi and her grandfather set out to solve the mystery. I enjoyed this book both for the characters and for the mystery. There were several twists and turns that kept me guessing until the end. I was most surprised that this cozy mystery was not focused on the police which was a nice change.

And Death Goes To…
A Tobi Tobias Mystery
By Laura Bradford
In Laura Bradford’s most recent Tobi Tobias mystery, Tobi is super excited to be going to the St. Louis Advertising Awards. They are like the Oscars for advertisers. She is up for the coveted “Best Overall Ad Campaign” award, which is the biggest award of the night. She is super excited and her whole entourage of family and friends are there to support her. Sadly, she loses. However, the winner gets more than she bargained for when the stage collapses beneath her, plummeting her to her death. The entire audience is in absolute shock and can’t believe what happened. How could such a horrible accident happen? Or was it an accident? The police rule it as murder. Suddenly, it is a whole new game and Tobi and her grandpa Stu are on the hunt to discover who did it. This story was really fun but it gave us a good ride too while we waited to see who the killer was. I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to the next story in this series. I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.

Tobi's fledgling agency has been doing pretty well, and it is truly wonderful to her that she is nominated for a Golden Storyboard award at this year's St. Louis Advertising Awards. Sadly, the winner falls to her death onstage and it's not long before the police are calling it murder. There is plenty to like in this book. The characters are a lot of fun, I was glad to see Grandpa Stu so visible with his ideas and how young Sam received so much recognition for his photography. That and a good story are why it is so easy to always follow a favorite author to a new series.

Tobi Tobias is thrilled to be up for the Golden Storyboard award at the annual St. Louis Advertising Awards. However, a night of celebration turns to tragedy when a platform collapses, killing one of the winners. Despite saying she will stay out of it, Tobi can’t help but be pulled in when she thinks about one thing – it might have been her. But what really happened that night?

I love the Tobi and her friends, so I was thrilled to visit them again. Combined with the suspects, and we’ve got a fantastic set of characters. I did feel that one storyline got in the way of the mystery at times. It didn’t help that I felt Tobi was rather stupid when it came to that situation. However, the mystery itself was very well done, with several good twists and a surprising climax.

This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Dollycas’s Thoughts

Tobi is excited to have been nominated for the Golden Storyboard Award this year but the St. Louis Advertising Awards turn out to be not as advertised. They were not supposed to include a murder! Tobi is now thankful she didn’t win because the winner dies when she steps up to receive her award. The room is full of suspects, but was the woman who plunged to her death the actual target? Tobi and her Grandpa Stu are trying to find that out but their relationship strained due to something he overheard Tobi tell her boyfriend Andy Zander. Hopefully, the case can be solved and their relationship saved before anyone else is awarded a trip to the great beyond.

The characters really drew me into the story this time. Grandpa Stu has come to visit but he is spending most of his time with the neighbor that drives Tobi and everyone else in the neighborhood a little crazy. Apparently, Stu sees a totally different side of Martha Rapple. He even brings her to the advertising awards as his date. He later hears Tobi venting to Andy about their relationship and Stu completely shuts down around Tobi and her friends. I could so relate with Tobi, when my mother started seeing a man after my dad passed away, it drove me crazy. I probably said the same things Tobi said and worse.

I really enjoyed the fact that 16-year-old Sam was nominated for an award. He has a keen photographic eye and it was so nice to see him recognized for it.

We also met others in the advertising field as they were all on the list of suspects. Learning the history of the prestigious awards was very interesting too.

The description the author provided for the actual death was heartbreaking. The woman fell to her death in front of a room full of people. That horrible tragedy would be so hard to witness. I truly felt so bad for everyone in that room.

Ms. Bradford really twisted up things with this plot. I thought each of the suspects was the killer at one time or another. They all seemed to have motive and the opportunity to sabotage the platform. As the clues started to snap into place for the actual killer I still thought it was a ruse. To say I was surprised in an understatement.

Humor can be found at each stop to Mary Fran’s pet shop. That parrot always cracks me up.

Laura Bradford is one of my favorite authors. She can combine drama, life experiences, romance and humor in a delightful way. I loved spending time with these characters. I hope to have a return visit soon.

And Death Goes to is the third installment in the Tobi Tobias Mystery series featuring advertising executive Tobi Tobias. Tobi has been nominated for the Best Overall Campaign at the annual St. Louis advertising awards and she's hoping to win the coveted Golden Storyboard award. Her protégé and best friend Mary Fran's 16 year old son Sam Wazoli is also up for the Best Photograph in a Print ad award.

An evening filled with glitz and glamor suddenly takes a turn for the worse when Deidre Ryan steps up to accept her award and the stage platform gives way sending Deidre plummeting to her death. With plenty of suspects to choose from including the woman's husband and fellow associates in the advertising community, Tobi sets out with the help of Grandpa Stu and boyfriend Andy Zander to catch a killer.

The actual mystery often seems to take backstage to a secondary storyline featuring Grandpa Stu and Tobi's nemesis Martha Rapple. While the story does produce a few laugh out louds moments readers have come to expect from the main cast of characters and pets, the plot was somewhat overshadowed by the ongoing situation involving Grandpa Stu and his annoying use of Tobi's nickname "Sugar Lump". Despite this I will not give up on the series, but this particular addition was not my favorite.

I received an advanced copy of And Death Goes To from NetGalley via Kensington Publishing. While not required to write a review I am more than happy to offer my honest opinion.

For years, Tobi Tobias has dreamed of winning the Golden Storyboard, imagining herself ascending the spiral staircase while her award winning commercial plays on the screen behind her. Watching another woman win the prize is a disappointment, but that's quickly overshadowed by horror as the platform at the top of the staircase collapses and Deidre Ryan falls to her death. Something went very wrong during the awards ceremony and Tobi is determined to find out what.

I can finally say that I like Tobi a lot. In the first book, a really enjoyed the writing but had some complaints about Tobi herself. In the second book, her circumstances had improved and she was easier to like as a person. Now it seems that she's finally grown up and this is definitely my favorite book in the series so far.

I loved And Death Goes To... at least as much as the first two books of the series. Laura Bradford has a knack for grabbing and holding my attention with an outstanding plot but she does it just as much with characters that she makes me care about. The fact that the death in the novel touches Tobi so much makes the book poignant, but the many moments of humor make it possible for me to relax and enjoy the story. Her weakness in dealing with her grandfather's affection for her neighbor make her feel even more real. She is not blind, she is hiding from herself; something that many people do in real life. Laura Bradford writes mysteries that touch the heart and this one is a perfect example of her magic.

Thank your for the chance to read an arc of this book. It is always a thrill to get to spend time with my "friends" ahead of the standard release date! I have posted on Goodreads which post to my Facebook page, and I will review on Amazon, B&N, GooglePlay and Bookbub.

Having worked for an advertising agency and attended an awards show, this story had immediate appeal. The mystery and solution is clever and rather surprising. The relationships with family, neighbors/friends, and a snort, snort, snort parrot provide laughs, tears, and joy. The publisher provided a copy via NetGalley for my voluntary review. I look forward to reading more about Tobi (rather partial to her name, too) and all involved in her life.

And Death Goes Too… is the third book in the Tobi Tobias Mystery series.

Everything is going great for Tobi and her advertising agency. She’s been getting new clients, has been getting the bills paid and even has gotten a car. And the cherry on her sundae is that she has been nominated for Best Overall Ad Campaign of the St. Louis Advertising Awards. She’s just excited to have been nominated.

Her 16-year-old photographer, Sam, is also up for the Best Photograph in a Print Ad and when his name is announced as the winner, their table is ecstatic. Then when Tobi’s is next and fingers are crossed at her table, but it was not to be as Deidre Ryan name is announced as the winner. She accepts her Gold Suitcase and proceeds to a stairway that leads to a platform where the winner is to stand while the winning ad is shown on a screen next to the winner. But as she is making her way up the platform and stairs collapse, killing Deidre. Quite naturally, everyone at Tobi’s table first thought is that could have been Tobi, but Tobi’s first thought is that the wrong winner had been announced, as the ad that started to play was for Lexa Smyth.

Tobi asks Sam for the pictures that he took at the dinner so she can confirm what she thought she saw. Once she has a chance to review the pictures, she finds that she was right. She begins to wonder if the production room started to play the wrong clip. But taking a closer look at Sam’s pictures she notices that the envelope was different than those for the previous awards. Now that Tobi realizes that this was, in fact, a murder she sets to find why and hopefully the murderer. Once again Tobi will rely on her office manager, JoAnna, Sam, Mary Fran, owner of a pet shop and Sam’s mom, and of course Grandpa Stu to help her sort through the clues.

In addition, Tobi has another problem to solve. Grandpa Stu has been spending a lot of time visiting Ms. Rapple, Tobi’s nosy neighbor, and he hears Tobi tell her boyfriend, Andy, that she wishes it had never gotten so involved with her. Grandpa Stu was hurt by her comment and has turned from the happy-go-lucky gent to an old curmudgeon.

Another wonderful story from Laura Bradford and a book you won’t want to put down. I was taken completely by surprise when the killer was revealed.

I definitely will be watching for the next book in this delightful series.
