Royalty and Hollywood cross in this fun novella. I love anything with a royal character in it and this has a different twist with a Hollywood star too. It’s short and sweet and a fun, quick read.

Alex lives his life by the book. That is what is to be expected of the Prince of Wales, after all. And he enjoys order and predictability, so while the tabloids generally find him a snooze he’s perfectly content to live his life under the radar, placid and comfortable. Serena Christensen is Hollywood’s latest It Girl, unafraid to call studios on their bullshit and used to causing scenes that wind up plastered all over the internet. She’s wild and exciting and thrives on the unexpected. But when one drunken night in Las Vegas brings the two of them together they just might end up making one royal mistake.
The book was decent. The plot was not bad, it was pretty standard. I liked both main characters. I recommend.

A quick read novella about Alex, the Prince of Wales, and Hollywood actress Serena.

As it is a novella, the plot moves fairly quickly. I liked the style in which the story unfolded with looks at their evening together. It helped to better illustrate why they connected so well that they might have thought it was a good idea to marry while they were intoxicated.

I do think that had a chapter or two been added to the book, both Alex and Serena could have been fleshed out as characters more. That might have rounded out things better.

A Royal Mistake by Elizabeth Davis
This was a Ok book it had a great story line going then it seemed to just jump right to in the end! I wish it would have had more of a story after they landed to meet the queen!

A Royal Mistake ended up being a cute story but it was too short for me to really love it. While this might look like a full length book it ended up being a really short novella and I read it in less than an hour this morning while on my way to work.

First of all, I did like the characters. I had a few problems with Serena and didn't connect with her at all but I do understand why she was like that. I did like Alex a lot and he's a really prince. These two had a great chemistry but I think this would have been a more enjoyable book if it was a full length novel because this was way too fast. It would have been way better if there was a bigger character and relationship development. I still enjoyed it nevertheless.

What I really liked was the way the story was told. This novella is told in a dual POV but not in a linear way. You have Alex's POV on the present day and Serena's POV in the past, even if the past is the day before. I did like that little twist and I also liked the writing style.

Overall, while this was a short read it was still enjoyable. The only reason my rating isn't higher is because I feel like this story had a potential to be more developed and because there was something missing. I still think you should read it if you want a fast but cute romance.

I requested this book in a lazy saturday afternoon with Cátia, when we were wondering why we were requesting so few Netgalley titles of late. So, we requested this one because it sounded super cute, and hey, Royalty! But guys, I can not call this a book per se, it’s a freaking novella, and a quite short one at that.

But okay, I’m truly complaining about the short size, because I felt like this could have been a full blown book. The premise was interesting, and these characters would have had much more space to grow and be fleshed out. The story is also told in an unusual format, as it jumps between the present and the past (as in, the day before). The whole book takes place in 2 days, but the story is not told linearly, but while the present is moving forward, the past is going backwards, and it wasn’t the easiest way to get a sense of this story.

I actually liked the characters, and I felt like Alex and Serena had great chemistry, but I wanted to get to know them a little more, and I wanted their connecting a little bit more explored.

Overall it was a fun read, and a great premise. But ultimately it needed more pages, more words, more development. This could have easily been a full novel, and I would have loved to read that. With that said, I would still very much like to read more about Prince Alex and Serena.

If this had 50 more pages ,written same way , I would have given this 5 stars. This was such a pleasure read that the length was a joy killer. I want more of Alex !! Liked the style of writing in reverse.

A Royal Mistake was such a cute short story that will leave you wanting for more. Though it was rather short, the story was well executed, but because it was short it felt that there were things missing towards the end. I still very much enjoyed the epilogue and I will most certainly be reading more from the author in the future. If you like these types of romance stories between a royal and non-royal, I would still recommend giving this story a try. ;)

This premise has been done many times and it's okay I just felt it's been done better.

LOVE IT! Is not the simple prince Hollywood princess story. Alex and Serena's story is full of twist and turn. Good and bad decisions. And second chance.
I enjoy reading this book and recommend it.

Cute little quickie. I liked this one. Well written but just wish it was a bit longer. I love the concept of the drunken insta love you get with an actress and prince. Alex and Serena have a lot of chemistry. As a first read of Elizabeth Davis I would go back for more. A Royal Mistake is a quick yet fun read.

Cute, short, story about a prince and a famous actress who get drunk and elope.
Definitely a fun idea for a story.

They're practically strangers when they marry and everyone expects them to get an annulment. But they know there's a reason they got married in the first place and they start to wonder whether annulling their marriage might be a mistake.

I got to read an early e book edition from NetGalley.

I received a copy of this book from the publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Serena Christensen is Hollywood’s latest Wild Child. Alex is the staid, reliable Prince of Wales, future King of England. A wild night in Vegas ends as you would expect, a quickie wedding. The story involves two intermixed timelines. Present day, where Alex and Serena deal with the consequences and the night before.

I was immediately enthralled with this book. The dialogue was witty and the narrative an interesting take. The characters were well developed and engaging. The only issue I have is that it ended abruptly. The author has great skill in writing and I only wish she had written a full-length novel to give the characters the ending they deserved.

Cute, quick read. A little confusing at first with the diverging timelines. I really would have preferred that this was a longer book. I really like the writer's style and the characters. I wanted more!
