Bigfoot Visits the Big Cities of the World was great fun for my Bigfoot obsessed son. We had a good time.
BigFoot Visits the Big Cities of the World: A Spectacular Seek and Find Challenge for All Ages, by D.L. Miller is a recommended children's book that mixes fiction with non-fiction.
As an interactive story, children will learn about major cities around the world, as they search for the hidden BigFoot. Some of the cities featured are San Francisco, Toronto, New York City, London, Paris, Venice, Athens, Istanbul, Tokyo, etc.
This book is divided into various sections, such as Who Is BigFoot, Spotted in Paris, Visits New York City, Arrives in Athens, Appears in London, Visits Venice, Found in Tokyo, Spotted in Toronto, Seen in San Francisco, Discovers the Forbidden City, and Found in Istanbul. Plus, there are helpful hints about what to seek out on the specific pages.
BigFoot Visits the Big Cities of the World is an easy-to-read book that's informative and educational. This book is geared towards younger readers, particularly ages five to twelve.
Note: I received this book from NetGalley, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
First I must thank Netgalley for this digital copy. I just love hidden object books and games so I really did love this one. Not only was it finding Bigfoot but lots of random facts about each city and tons of things to find in each one. I will say that this book is a bit challenging so it may get frustrating for some kids but I really enjoyed the challenge. I have always loved Bigfoot and the legend and so I definitely would recommend this Seek and Find book to everyone.
I would TOTALLY use this book in my grade three classroom. I would use for our international celebration and I would use it for our nonfiction study. In this clever book, Big Foot travels around the world. Students first learn about a different city. Then Big Foot hides in the city and readers have to find him. This book is adorable and would bring delight to any student reading it.
A fun and exciting activity book, very similar to "Wheres Waldo?", although with much more educational information included. Follow BigFoot around as he travels the world and try to find a list of hidden objects on each page. I found the digital version to be hard to zoom in on my iPhone, but I loved it nonetheless. I can tell this will be a beautiful and colorful book in print and will definitely be on the lookout for the series at the bookstore.
I also reviewed a similar book called "BigFoot Goes on Vacation" and felt that my review for that book is the same.
I received a digital copy of both books from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Great little informative book following Big Foot through ten major cities (plus 'search for Bigfoot' pages).
Book with a Hidden object puzzle. Pictures of Big Foot visiting many cities of the world are there in which we have to find Big Foot and other objects. We also have a small informative guide on those cities. Fun and entertaining.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher

BigFoot spends most of his time in the deep dark woods, rarely spotted by humankind. But the bright lights of the big city beckon to everyone, even our mysterious furry friend! Sharpen your search and find skills by locating him at his favorite metropolis. It won't be easy. BigFoot is visiting ten major cosmopolitan destinations, includin the Big Apple and London to Paris, Athens, Tokyo, Toronto, and more. This book presents each urban oasis as an immense two-page visual puzzle, full of teeming people and creatures. Your task is not only to find BigFoot and his legendary footprint, but also more than 500 other unusual and sometimes unexpected personalities and objects. Fun facts and pictures accompany each scene to help you learn more about the world's most popular cities.
Bigfoot Visits the Big Cities of the World: A Seek and Find Activity Book is exactly what you expect to get from the title. My son has always enjoy the legendary Where's Waldo and I Spy books, and we have taking our chances with a variety of similar books we have found over the years that matched his current obsessions (super heroes, Pokemon, and so on). I like the little bit of Bigfoot lore that was included, including the origin of the name and they way the creature is seen and what they are called in a variety of cultures, to make the hunt more interesting to young readers. There is also a good amount of information and history about each of the cities that bigfoot is hiding in throughout this book. I like the inclusions of real photographs from the locations, as well as the seek and find illustrations. I think many young readers will skip over the informational bits and just to the bigfoot hunts, but I feel like some will take the time to read, and any chance for them to continue learning I will fully support. Some of the seek and finds were challenging, but in a good way. I enjoyed the book and think that most that would pick up this style of book will agree.
I grabbed thinking it was a where's waldo type thing but it's not. It was filled with information and it was educational. It isn't something I would buy kids or read to them. I don't think they would be interested.
This was so much fun. And very hard. An entertaining and educational book.
Move over Waldo, it is time to find Big Foot. This is a fun book that late primary and junior age students will enjoy. In this book you get an opportunity to read about some very well-known cities around the world. There is also an introduction to Big Foot at the beginning of each book in this series. There are fun facts such as food, famous landmarks etc. There are actual photographs of the landmarks and famous events. After reading about the city, you turn the page and are met with some very busy line drawn illustrations where you know only have to find Big Foot, but many other objects as well. The puzzles are challenging and enjoyable. I was reading this with my grandson on my laptop and we had to enlarge the pages to find Big Foot, the footprint was something we were never able to find. He got frustrated and stopped looking for Big Foot but still liked finding some of the other objects. This book is not for younger primary students as I could see them getting frustrated. This book would certainly sharpen observation skills though. I was glad there was an answer key at the back of the book for Big Foot and his print so we could find them if we gave up. I hope the actual book is large enough that you can actually spot Big Foot. This would be a great book for a school or classroom library. I could also see it keeping children occupied during a long car ride when on vacation.
A new take on Where’s Waldo. This seek and find books actually tries to teach, as it tries to make the reader cross eyed. In this series, they look at various facts of cities across the world, then send you on a hunt to not only find bigfoot, but plains, trains, and automobiles as well.
BigFoot Visits the Big Cities of the World is a collection of puzzles challenging you to find Bigfoot and other hidden objects. The puzzles are original line drawings of cute panoramic scenes from cities around the world like Beijing, Tokyo, Istanbul, London, San Francisco and more. Fun facts and photographs of the city are also included.
I liked that the photographs often showed the same locations as the drawn puzzles. The facts include unique characteristics of the city, or popular foods eaten there.
The puzzles are challenging and enjoyable, and the back of the book has an answer key if Bigfoot proves too elusive.
People of all ages would enjoy this book, especially hidden object puzzle lovers. It would be a great book to take on a long trip.

4 stars.
This was so much fun and entertaining! It has a load of information about different cities around the world (so it is also quite educational too!). Then it also has a huge page for each city where you have to find Bigfood and little items. Think 'Where's Wally' and 'I Spy' books. This book could keep kinds engaged for ages. Definitely recommend this.
