Love this author and her books. Absolutely loved this one. Think this is my favourite so far and totally got me in the mood for Christmas. Miranda Liasson has done such a brilliant job with this book that I couldn’t have given it anything less than the 5 stars it totally deserves. If I could give more I totally would. Really love Love Love this book and this author. One of my favourite authors and a must read all day long.

I love reading Christmas stories in November because I can snuggle up and indulge myself before the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season begins. In this thought provoking novella Graham Walker and his ex-wife Grace are reunited during a record breaking blizzard that will give them a second chance at love if they aren't afraid to profess their pain and vulnerability to each other. It's a beautifully written story about the power of forgiveness and the joy of hope that is perfect any time of the year. I read a complimentary copy of this book through Net Galley and all opinions expressed in my unsolicited and voluntary review are completely my own.

Perfect second chance romance just in time for the start of the holiday season! Graham and Grace suffered a terrible loss that eventually led to the end of their marriage, but not to the love they shared. I loved this quick visit to Mirror Lake and recommend to anyone looking for a sweet and short holiday romance.

Grace Alberts is a best selling children’s author trying to get to a children’s hospital in Philadelphia for a Christmas book signing. The hospital holds a special place in her heart because they were there for her at a very difficult time in her life.

A snowstorm has cancelled all flights. Graham Walker, her ex-husband, has an SUV and offers to drive her to Philadelphia. Grace takes him up on his offer because it is the only choice and she doesn’t want to disappoint the children. The trip in a blinding snowstorm does not go smoothly. A run in with a deer brings their trip to a screeching halt in Mirror Lake.

Mirror Lake fans will enjoy meeting old friends from the series again.

I really enjoyed this novella. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves contemporary Christmas love stories.

This is a really sweet second chance romance book. I do wish he never got on the bus but went to the bus stop but ended up sitting at a table in the pub and she walked in to see him there. He never left her, he just needed to make a new game plan on how to win her back. Otherwise, it was a really cute book. Good characters who were still in love with each other and it was sweet how that snow storm and the car crash really showed them how much they really do mean to each other.

4 stars.
Sweet and tender Christmas romance novella. This is a second chance love story that also revisits the "Mirror Lake" community. It has all the author's trademark small town romance "feels".
I enjoyed it very much. Great holiday read.
p.s. for all Miranda Liasson fans (and I am one) it gives you a glimmer and also hints about a new upcoming book involving the last Spikonos brother- Jared .
ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

4 - "Christmas is wherever you are..." Stars!

Can’t Miss Christmas was the perfect introduction to Miranda Liasson’s writing.

IMAGE.

Graham Walker and his ex-wife Grace Alberts are stranded in Mirror Lake over the Christmas period. After avoiding each other since their divorce, the time spent together waiting out a snow storm gives them the chance to talk about the things that bought about and facilitated the breakdown of their marriage.

Somehow they’d let each other slip away…

It’s very evident that they both still love each other, but rather than talk and support each other at one of the most emotional and heart-breaking times of their marriage both of them pushed the other away, something neither of them has ever really discussed since.

Even after all these years Graham’s stamp on her seemed permanent, like a tattoo. Indelible, undeniable.

Although short this story packed a real emotional punch, this is a couple with history, so it was no struggle to believe the instant emotional connection and chemistry between them.

You are introduced to quite a few of the towns characters as this couple navigate their first Christmas together ‘post divorce’ and I must admit it in correlation with the immersive writing style I enjoyed it so much that I am definitely interested in reading the authors previous books set in and around this locale.

This is the perfect Christmas ‘quickie’ if you are looking to get a hold on some seasonal spirit, or are looking for a break from the madness of the season.
