A great book for toddlers before a trip on an airplane. This book tells them all about what happens on the plane.
However, I do feel that her books do belong in a younger age range.

This was better than the firefighter book, and, although it didn't hold my son's attention beyond a first read, it would be good for PreK/K students learning to read.

Pilots and What They Do introduces children to the job description of a pilot. This book answers some questions young children may have about pilots. It is clearly written. The illustrations are also engaging.

A simple, fun, and colorful book that can help younger kids learn about what a pilot does and about flying in a plane. This could be used to help a younger first-time flyer be less scared about a trip they are going on. The pictures are not just colorful, they are also informative. The image of the piolet has arrows pointing to specific areas with a description of the area the arrow is pointing to. The book also explains to children where the pilot and crew go when the plane lands. All kids what to know that. I know when I flew the first time, I asked my parent what the pilot did after he flew us to Disney World.

A fun, basic, colorful book for toddlers through Pre-K about the joys of airplane travel and the work of of an airplane pilot. Vibrant, childlike illustrations and black readable text throughout. Perfect book to read to toddlers before a trip by airplane or going to the airport.

Going on vacation is great, right? Sometimes, when we go on vacations, you ride in an airplane, and a pilot is responsible for getting you there. Kids learn about what pilots do during takeoff, from observing the instrument panel to listening to instructions from the tower. We learn about takeoff and landing, and how the pilot must always be thinking about the plane - is there enough fuel before takeoff? Is there bad weather ahead? When the plane lands, the captain - our pilot - and his female copilot fill out their paperwork and get ready for their next destination. I'd give this book to any little one getting ready for their first flight.

This is a small sized publication of an earlier book. The text is easier for young ones to understand and it held my grandson's attention well. The book description says it is geared to toddlers, but I think this book would be great to use in a unit on transportation and community helpers with kindergarten and primary students. It describes what the pilot does as well as what the person flying in the plane would experience. Simple illustrations with lots of colour complement the descriptions in the story.

A simple and easy look at what a pilot does. I do like that in this book they point out that both boys and girls can be pilots.

This is a book for the curious toddler who longs to soar high in the sky!

This is a fantastic little book. The images are bright and colourful, its easy to follow and I can see it becoming a very firm favourite and definitely one to get and keep on our shelf.
